Would give 4.5 if I could! Had a pleasure dealing with Dave, I came in for basic 4 wheel drive alignment on my BMW. I take extreme care of my vehicle as it’s a highly modded performance track car. I’m very careful of who touches my vehicle at all times and rarely take it to shops.* I was greeted nicely and decided to wait for my vehicle while it had its work performed. My technician was Ahmadi and although I wasn’t able to speak to him about the work on my vehicle preformed Dave made sure to go through it all with me. We talked tire compounds and I felt very welcomed as a first time customer. I will note that as the technician took my vehicle on a pre road test I noted that he was driving pretty fast and left the lot with quite a bit of throttle (my vehicle is straight piped so it’s excessively loud) I didn’t like this and it happened again on the post road test when the work was finished. All in all I had a great experience and I’ll definitely be coming back for all my drivetrain and tire needs :) thanks guys ✌????

I have been going to Burlington Tire for car repairs, oil changes, tires and tire rotation and storage for over 10 years. A coworker recommended Burlington Tire to me when I first moved to Burlington. I know nothing about cars and used to feel really unsure during the inevitable repair process. I can honestly say that Burlington Tire changed that. I have taken my car in with a weird noise only to have them fix it and send me off without paying a cent (they said it was an easy fix), I have gone in concerned about my brakes and had them tell me they were not yet ready to be replaced and to come back in 3 months for a check (by doing these checks I got 6 months more life out of my brakes before needing to replace them). Today, I took my car in because my engine light had come on. I got a call from Burlington Tire explaining that the catalytic converter appeared to be the issue, but that they had found a leak in a related part that they believed if fixed would solve the problem. They wanted to try this first because the cost was approx. $150 versus $800. Awesome! I highly recommend Burlington Tire. They have a lot of loyal customers because they are honest and just very nice people to deal with.

The folks behind the counter seemed nice at first, but after the work was done my car was filthy dirty. The mechanics don't wear gloves, or if they do, they don't remove them before driving your car. My steering wheel, gear shifter, door handle were all covered in grease. I should have realized a place that relies on yellow post-it notes to keep themselves organized could not deliver a good quality of service. Not even the basic level of respect for the customer, and their car. The Owner was very upset that I even complained! Screamed and yelled and said the grease on my steering wheel was there before they touched my car. Wow! Never again.

Just bought 4 new tires here today. The price was better than Canadian Tire and very close to Costco, including installation. They offer free rotation every 10,000k. I was waiting for over an hour, but there was a storm yesterday and everyone's rushing around to get new tires. Costco told me I couldn't get an appointment for almost two weeks, so I was perfectly happy to wait an hour. They charged me exactly what they quoted me over the phone, and the service was extremely friendly.

I've never had better customer service in my life, especially when dealing with a return. I bought tires and they were a different brand that last time, turns out I didn't like them. I came in to the store and met with the owner Dave and asked if there was anything I could do, and possibly order in my favorite brand which is not a usual one they sell. He said the company has a 30 day buy and try but even if they didn't he'd take them back, and called the other company to order my new ones right on the spot and exchanged them out for only the cost of the difference in the tires, and 2 days later. He also took the time to explain to us how winter tires work and where they are best rated. I love my Nokian tires but they are not on the rating list compared to the usual tires, perhaps because they are in a different class as a premium tire? I've read the other reviews, and for the bad ones, I only have to say, when I came in to the office I approached the owner and asked my options, told him my concerns and why, and had a normal conversation with him. People mirror behavior, so if you come in and make a scene and have demands, you will get back what you give out. Be kind to one another.

Review: Joe was nice, good customer service but I was over charged just for checking ”Engine check light came on.” It costed $ 141 after tax“ and the descriptions on the bill are not the same as the services that were served. (See picture). After checking my car, Joe informed me that the accelerator position sensor has to be replaced, and they would not be able to get it done until next Wednesday sept 1st( I brought my car in on Friday morning Aug 27). I told Joe I move out of town before next Wednesday, so I have to bring my car to different garage Plus, Joe did not tell me the cost in advance. He was processing the charges and payment while he was chatting with me. I was naive, just made the payment without questioning. When I realized the cost is too high, Joe told me every customer here has been charged the same. In addition, I was not given the code to see what the problems are and what need to be fixed. They deleted the code without asking me so no one would be able to know what goes wrong with my car to fix it probably However, they gave me the code when I called to ask for it.

I bought 4 tires for a BMW, which cost less then at Costco, Sam's Club, Tire Rack and every local tire retailer I called. The tires were "in stock" and installed in 45 minutes. Best price and great service, I don't know how it gets better than that.

Went there Saturday around noon with a tire mounted on rim, told them there is an air leak, don’t know if puncture or tire needs to be resealed. Only reason I brought in the wheel instead of the car was I was not confident they will lift the car by its designated spots instead of simply putting the jack under the floor (European cars are not designed to be lifted this way, American cars tolerate it). Some years ago I had a discussion with the owner exactly about this, he charged me double but did it the right way. They came to me three times, do you know the tire is worn? Yes, I do, it’s fine for me, don’t drive the car in the rain. There are a couple of marks on the rim, no, I was not aware but that’s fine. Third time was bad, the tire is not repairable but will be happy to sell you a pair of new tires. I was in shock, similar thing happened to me in Cleveland when the CAD to USD was 1.7. I asked to put the tire back on the rim as I brought it, they refused. Just imagine if I had in the car, it is a high end sports car and does not have a spare tire. I would have been stranded and at the mercy of Burlington Tire, could not even call CAA to tow the car home. I took back the tire and rim and went to Active Green + Ross who repaired the tire and installed on the rim, no issues, no circus, no backing me into a corner and trying to sell me new tires. This was my experience, I hope yours was better. I will never, ever, go back to this place and if you ask for an opinion my response is stay away no matter what. George Hello there, Wanted to respond but could not find the thread. That is incorrect, the tire was not loose, it was mounted on the rim and was even inflated to 30 psi. I asked you check it for air leaks. If indeed you are such an enforcer of safety you should not have touched it to begin with. You did exactly the opposite trying to put me into a corner. What if I had brought the car? I could not even have left your shop even if I called in the tow truck, the car does not have a spare. If the tire is on the rim I can use a fix flat or simply drive it for a few meters, with the tire off the rim there is nothing I can do. This was unethical what you've done to me. As I wrote in my complaint I did go to Active Green and Ross near Canadian Tire on Fairview, they repaired the tire and installed it on the rim without any back and forth of the kind I experienced in your shop (I've kept the bill). I did drive for more than 1,000 kms afterwards and want to let you know the tire is fine, the rim is fine, car is fine and I am fine too. And of course Michelin rep would back you up, at the end of the day all you are interested in is to sell new tires. You tried to do that with me and backed me into a corner, it did not work. Stay away folks.

All I can say is WOW..... Worst customer service I've ever received. I brought my truck in for what I thought was a simple patch job on a tire. At 10:00 am I was told it was only going to be a half hour job. 10:30 rolled around. 11:00 rolled around. 11:30 rolled around. I called three times after that only to find out that they just brought my truck in and that it would only take 20 minutes. 12:30 I finally got a call saying my truck was done. When I went to pick it up, I asked was there some kind of problem? The guy behind the counter shrugged his shoulders and said that's how long it took.. I said is that all I get after waiting two hours for a half hour job, He shrugged his shoulders again and said 40.62 sir. And on top of that my truck was parked on the other side of the fence behind the Pionier gas station car wash. Unsupervised and I know this because of the car of people doing drugs. Not how I want to receive my truck. First time customer.. last time customer

For starters, do yourself a huge favour and do your shopping first since the prices for almost everything are among the highest. And the worst, you won't get too much in return, as you might expect. After a first visit and first tire purchase, I had to come back since these guys performed a sloppy job (the front tires were trembling like there is no tomorrow). The second time was OK. Third time (my last purchase this year) I've got shafted: blindly, I paid for tires 20-30% more than average market price (and this will include Canadian Tire and Mercedes Canada). As well, at a closer look, you'll see that the price for tires are among the highest in the market and MAKE SURE YOU WILL TAKE A WRITTEN QUOTE before doing anything (I learned this in the hard way). For the same tires, I've got three quotes in three different instances. Eventually, when I made the owner aware that on my bill is a different number of his last quote, he became aggressive and with an ominous tone, he asked me to leave the premises Last year when I used them first, they were better but this year the owner got greedy and everything went downhill. And never argue for your right since eventually, the owner will throw you out. The words 'polite', 'calm', 'non argumentative' or anything in this branch are not in his vocabulary. When I asked him, why this large difference in pricing, his answer was 'I'm not a Continental Tires dealer' (I bought some Continental tires) like this would have give him license to steal. Never mind he had these tires in his OWN stock (never had to place a special order or something to get them for me). As well, I brought a pair of my own tires to be installed and eventually, they changed just one of the worn-out tires and kept the other good tire which I brought for themselves. Eventually, I was able to recuperate it after few days. So....BEWARE

Just had my winter tires put on and as a repeat customer, the experience was typical Burlington Tire. The prices are very good and the snows I bought were more than $200 cheaper than the next closest quote. For sure, it is a busy shop, especially this time of year and if you are planning on waiting for your winter tires to get installed, just get there early and go with a bit of patience and everything will get done. If you do not want to wait, then drop off your car and they will give you a ride to work, home or the GO Train. I called a few other places looking to make an appointment and the prices were higher and the earliest available appointment I could get was nearly 2 weeks out. I am glad there is a competent and honest shop that offers a "first come first served" policy.

Took it to them and they looked at it and said they could fix and they did ! Committed to always take my tire needs to them. Today I had a nail that was bent and partially in the tire and took it in to them, and they took it out, said there was no leak and therefore no repair and NO CHARGE ! Bought 4 new tires from this store and had a break job done. Although the tires are very good, had to bring the vehicle back in as the parking brake was not working the next day. They inspected the parking brake and told me all was fine. Even though I knew it was not working, I did not want to start a confrontational discussion and drove away. Had the brakes inspected for safety and was confirmed, parking brakes were not adjusted at time of replacement. Ended up paying an additional $50 to have them adjusted and now parking break is functional again. I will not return to this place as I found a place where clients safety is higher on their list of priorities.

When I read the 2 reviews below I thought there must be some mistake. I cannot believe these reviews are about Burlington Tire & Auto. I have been a customer of this business since 1988 when I first moved to Burlington. I had been to several garages trying to get help with my motorcycle trailer and this was the only place that was able to help. I have been a customer ever since. When I call to book an appointment I can always get one within 48 hours. When I arrive I am never kept waiting. My vehicle is taken in within a few minutes. Once a mechanic has looked it over he comes into the waiting room and explains fully what is wrong with my vehicle, what has to be done to fix it, how much it will cost and how long it will take. They also tell me if there is something that should be fixed but can wait until another time. I am then offered a ride home if the repair will take a while. In all these years I have never had a bad experience at Burlington Tire. As a female I feel quite comfortable bringing my vehicle here. They don't talk down to me or assume that I will not understand. I highly recommend Burlington Tire & Auto. The people are pleasant and friendly. The waiting area is clean and bright and I have never received my vehicle back dirty or greasy.

All you need to do to hate this tire shop is drive on the Red Hill Parkway during the weekday hours of 7-7:15. You'll see the same ignorant driver in a fully marked Burlington Tire Burlington tire pick up truck drive right past the line up of cars awaiting their turn to head to the highway and this guy drives all the way down until the last minute before cutting someone off instead of waiting like everyone else. The truck has a Leaf sticker on the rear window. I've seen this same driver do this at LEAST 20 times in the past couple months. I would NEVER get tires from them because of this ignorant driver representing their company.

Excellent, quick, and fairly priced service this morning. Had an issue with my tire that was swiftly attended to and repaired. Unlike some other larger establishments in the area, this shop thankfully did not try and tell me that I needed to replace all my tires, my engine, my doors, my sunroof, my steering wheel, my gas tank, my hitch, and my windshield wipers. Dog in the waiting area was extremely well-mannered, but a facility for coffee would have been nice. I’ve been told by numerous people to try Burlington Tire. I finally did for an oil change, which was done on the spot and timely, at a competitive rate. I asked the guys to check my tires, to see if they needed replacement, as Honda told me I should seriously consider replacement at my previous oil change. The Burlington Tire guys told me they are fine, and won’t need replacement for at least 1 year. They are now my go-to service provider, and I recommend BT to everyone, and I continue to hear nothing but positive stories about their care and honesty. Thanks Guys!

Terrible service, I got a flat tire on the highway and caa came to tow my car and put my donut on for the time being. I then decided I should just get a tow to a tire place to get a new tire put on, I called ahead and asked if they had used tires for my car in stock. They said yes. I then got my car towed here, they pulled it in the back I waited 30 minutes for them to tell me they did not have any tires for my car in stock and that they could put my donut on my car for $20.00. Which is crazy because I could have gotten caa to put the tire on for free if they hadn't told me they had tires for my car in stock. What a waste of time and money. Would never use their services again!

What I thought was a reputable and trustworthy shop... didnt look them up on YELP or other review / sites... Van has been the service adviser to me for over a year, doing oil changes, tire swaps, brake jobs, alternator replacement and a coolant line job for me as well as taking in referrals from me for a few of my staff. I have always spoken highly of Burlington Tire and Auto (BT&A), and trusted that they were doing there best to help me; but when they were faced with a technical challenge - they could not correct and make things right, and in the end , told me that we should 'part ways' Situation: 1/2 check engine light under WOT (wide open throttle) - I was advised by BT&A to replace the spark plugs. They replaced with OEM Bosch - issue remained. The car was in and out of their shop approx 4 times for the same issue and it was never resolved. During this time, they replaced a sensor and texted me to tell me the car was ready / test driven and perfect. I was happy to hear and then I picked it up and had the same issue immediately. There was no way it was test driven. Then I booked it back in and they replaced another sensor; I left and had the same situation. Again, booked it in and they said that it was my transfer case and disconnected the AWD system and said to just drive it like that. I drove it and again, and the issue occurred again. The timeline for this was over 8 months, but as the issue only occurred under WOT, it was not a severe issue for me; but there was always a slight hesitation / misfire which is not good for the drive train. During this timeline, my alternator went. They replaced it and right after, I could not read my oil. After a few months of back and forth, they said they would replace with an OEM. I never asked for an aftermarket, or a lower cost alternative; I always thought that it was OEM. Now they asked me to pay $600.00 more for an OEM. I agreed, they installed and my issue was corrected. I believe they just swapped the defective alternator and had me pay again (rip off) I talked to Dave in person about the issue with the half check engine light. He was upset with me (the customer) - as he said I just walk in, throw down my FOB and walk out. The fact is, I always make an appointment ahead of time with Van, and there is nothing I need to discuss when dropping off my key. If he is not on the phone, I say hi and give him the FOB and if he is on the phone, I leave on the counter and leave. For Dave to be upset that I do this, makes no sense; but he ALWAYS finds a reason to blame the customer; when the fact is his tech's are wasting time, inefficient and not able to properly root cause/ diagnose technical issues. Since I was getting nowhere, I took it to another shop. Took it to another shop and they removed the plastic engine cover and found the clamp to bank 1 intake not correctly seated, allowing the plastic intake to become dislodged and creating a 5mm gap after the MAF sensor. They then continued to look around and found the coil pack for cylinder 1 not seated properly and clipped in. 1 or both of these issues were the reason for my ½ check engine light, and the issue was caused by BT&A not reassembling the car properly after the spark plug change. Nothing more, nothing less. I called today to talk to Dave, and explained what another shop found and he was rude and defensive and declared that we already parted ways, he did not offer a resolution, knows he ripped me off and decided to leave it like that. Of course I was upset after he implied I was lying, but I have a report to show, and pictures. Small claims it is...

Got rude service from the owner and also this place doesn't take appointments. Embarrassing as a business. Owner gave me lip when I had to sit and wait an hour to get my tires out of storage. Took my business to Mr Lube where they treated me right.

Prices were good but the young guy at the front was horrible and got frustrated when I asked questions, he showed alot of negative body language and his tone was off, the plastic that they had at the front of the counter to protect the spread of covid prevented us from communicating properly because they couldn't hear the questions I was asking and I had to repeat myself, the prices on the tires were good but the service from the young kid at front is why I rated 1 star. My car is a 2017 and they sent someone to check the vin and came back and told me it was a 2015 they also couldn't find any info in there systems for this vehicle so this concerns me that they were not sure of what size to put on my vehicle, I will not recommend any of my friends or family to go to this shop.

Had to get a tire replaced after a road side incident. The Service was fast and the prices are great. Would recommend.
