Used to swear by and recommend Kal tire to everyone, but stopped a few years ago because of a few bad experiences back to back... Faith was restored recently when my daughter had a flat tire after hours and I had BCAA tow the car to Kal tire for repair. They called me the next day and had fixed the flat at no charge even though the tires were bought at Costco. I'm glad to see that they are back to the excellent service I used to rave about!

Had a very good experience here picked up a set of winter tires through the MPI winter tire program. very fast and Professional Service I only had a couple of hours to get them done and they had no problem doing it. They got it started right away and we're done in less than 1 hour. I got a set of summit ice edge winter tires and am vary happy with them. I recommend winter tires on every vehicle even 4×4's for braking performance and also helps reduce stress brake and ABS System

Not a great day for Kal Tire. I dropped my vehicle off to get new tires and a wheel alignment. The appointment was for 9am which I was on time for. It was on their printed service sheet as well as told to me that it would take up to 2 hours for the work to be complete. After having their employee write my phone number down on the clipboard and asking them to call me when they were finished, I headed off to kill some time. I returned at 10:50am having not received a call and assuming that things took the full time, and they may be finished at or just after 11am. Not a problem as that is what I was told. I sat down in their store front to wait either a call or for an employee to call my name having made eye contact with the same employee who had taken my keys at 9am. Almost an hour later, at 11:45am, after sitting there having not received a call and no employee checking in, I had to initiate the conversation and ask what was taking so long with my vehicle. I had watched other customers come and go and vehicles move in and out of the garage bays. Upon asking what is taking so long, an employee went over behind the main desk and laying out in the open was the clipboard assigned to my vehicle just sitting there. My vehicle had been ready for some time. It turns out they didn't even need to do the wheel alignment which means the work probably took less than 2 hours. Had I not asked, how long would I have sat there waiting to be contacted? While this is probably a rare occurrence, I received a insincere apology and nothing was offered to make up for my time that was wasted. I found this side of their customer service extremely poor. I only hope their attention to detail is greater with the vehicles they service. I'm not sure I would go back after today, based mostly on the poor customer service after they clearly had overlooked me as a customer.

Visited this place in Cambridge for a tire replacement. I had a flat tire and was using my spare tire. Normally it is recommended to drive only less than 50 kilometers on spare tires. They understood my situation and immediately squeezed in an appointment for me. The service was good and prompt. The price was reasonable. I did not do any research on the prices since it was a flat tire and had to replace at any cost. Kal tire took the time to replace and did a great job. I went there the next day as well to re-tighten the nuts on the wheels. They were already expecting me and got me in and out pretty fast.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Service is prompt; you're greeted almost as soon as you walk through the door. I went in with the intention of purchasing a set of winter tires and rims, but got persuaded into buying a set of all-weather tires instead, which allowed me to keep my original rims and use the AW tires year-round. This ended up saving me a several hundred dollars! The tire order arrived on schedule from the warehouse, and got them installed the following week, which took just over an hour. I appreciate how you can take your car into any Kal Tire for service if you buy your tires through them; makes it convenient if you happen to travel within Canada often.

My first experience here didn’t go so well, and honestly had sworn not to come back to this location. I recall standing in the front waiting to be acknowledged while the guy working was looking into his computer and pacing around. Then being spoken to in an almost sarcastic tone. The technician did a seasonal tires swap for me, but not an alignment due to some damaged that needed to be done. Instead of giving me the option to hold off on tire change, since i won’t be able to drive anyways. Not only that, but my oil change was done and I had to call back and request a change date, since they forgot the sticker in the window. But it’s close to home, and super convenient, so I gave it a second shot. This time, not only were the guys working the front super friendly, but so was the technician. Ryan (i think was his name) was so great! He had top notch customer service skills and very good feedback for me.

My Porsche 911 Carrera S was showing low Psi in one of my tires and I was close to this location thus I called ahead and proceeded to bring my vehicle in for them to look at it. When I arrived, the lady I spoke with on the phone was at the desk and looked after me immediately. The gentleman assigned to my vehicle lined it with a plastic covering and drove it into the mechanic bay with care and was very knowledgable when it came to my tires and what was required. In little over half an hour, my tire was fixed with no need to replace the expensive tire. In addition to this, the tire pressure sensor was properly reset. The mechanic even showed me where to find my tire lock kit for the future, as I originally was unaware of its location. In summary this location has highly competent staff that have a genuine interest in your success. I was blown away by the service I received. Almost makes me want to say goodbye to the dealership. Can't say enough about my experience here, FIVE stars! I even made it back in time to see 2 of my patients I thought I had to reschedule!

Got my winter tires changed over and the technician scatched/mark back bumper, bottom of passenger door frame area as well as top portion of the door handle.. He denied it of course but car was just detailed and no marks were there.. Have to talk to Manager who wasn't there as well to see if it can get fixed.. Always was a 5. Now no more.

SEE UPDATE BELOW... One complaint - cleanliness. I'm a recent convert to using Kal Tire for my vehicle work, and have been really happy with the repair services thus far. While the mechanical stuff IS the main point of bringing in my cars, and I will likely continue to do so, I've been really disappointed recently by the cleanliness of the technicians who are driving my cars. I picked up my truck tonight after some significant work, and when I got in to drive home, I found the steering wheel and shifter both felt really grimey/greasy - and the cab smelled like that "shop smell" (oil, etc). It was dark out, so I couldn't look closely, but when I got home, I could see that my hands were now dirty and I wondered what was on my clothes from the seat. After complaining to my wife about it, she showed me HER car that just got an oil change at the same location two weeks ago, and the upholstery on her driver's side arm rest has a number of brown/greasy hand prints on it. (New project for me to tackle, figuring out how to get that out, I guess.) Come on guys (!) - the technical service is good, but is it too much to ask the technicians to keep the clean interior of our cars the same cleanliness they were when we arrived? UPDATE: I got a call from Mike at the shop who is making this right for us. Thank you, Mike, for maintaining the level of service all the way through, even afterwards. I know many shops that would not have followed up to make it right.

* I finally got around to getting a tire change and alignment from Kal and wanted to update my review. No more road noise with the new tires, feels like a totally new car. Final bill was $100 under their initial quote as they said most of the wheels didn't need alignment. Still honest, excellent service and 5/5 from me. * I've been bringing my vehicle here for a year now and it is the best shop I've experienced. The staff are friendly and happy to explain things. They never find unnecessary repairs, and when I do need repairs I get a good deal on them. My most recent experience I was hearing some front end noise on my new vehicle. I wasn't sure if it was tires or wheel bearings or something else so I took it in to Kal. They called me and said it was just the tread pattern and nothing to worry about. They also didn't charge me because they said it was quick to check. I don't know of any other shops as honest and friendly.

I had such an amazing experience with Dan and all the staff at this Kal Tire. Dan went above and beyond to get me the best deal on new tires and brakes for my vehicle and when the original work was not up to their standards, they upgraded my brake pads free of charge to make it right. I then drove over a curb shortly after this and Dan again went above and beyond to fix my broken tire and wheel and I left having spent more money on a tow truck then a new wheel. Top notch service and staff. Very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to anyone who needs car repairs and they have a customer for life in me.

They didi not have in stock model and size I was looking for. They proposed the same brand but a little bit wider tire that fitted my car. all of this because I needed winter tires a.s.a.p. We scheduled appointment for next day and I was there 20 minutes early. They took my car and finish changing all four tires in 30 minutes. That was awesome since I had to leave work so I was able to be back in time for business meeting. and they managed to match price of smaller tire.

Amazing experience of getting a new set of Nokian WRG3 All Weather Tires from this location of Kal Tires. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, fast and efficient. Reasonable price come with a lot of similar to Costco tires warranty if you know what I am talking about including Life time balancing, Flat repairs(inside patch), Tire rotation, Road Hazard, Free air pump etc. Strongly recommend people to come and get your all weather tires with snow flake symbol.

We had no appointments, and I was stuck with new tires I needed installed on a 32 Feet RV! Not an easy task. I called KalTire in Cranbrook. They took us in right away, and their commercial tire tech took us as soon as he could. 2 hours of fast and good work and we were out. The price was more than fair even if we did not buy the tires there ( we should have). They also told us Sparwoord KalTire could retorque the tires after driving a while, as recommended, and they did it in 10 min just by showing up. Let’s say I have a new tire store on my list of favorites! Kal-Tire will be my go to tire store for my next set of tires. But the Cranbrook store especially made our day! Thanks everyone! I’ve used Kal Tire off and on again for years. If you can get a hold of them, or get your vehicle in there it’s usually good service. They’re not cheap but they do good work. They stand behind their products and that’s not something super common in the industry nowadays (from my experience). One issue for me that continues to come up with this Boundary Rd. location is getting in touch with them over the phone. They are often very busy in the front helping customers, calling around for tires/parts so if you try calling to speak to someone it’s impossible to get anyone, you can wait on hold for 15, 20 minutes or more. Another thing I’ve noticed is staff turnover(service advisor) at this location. I deal with one guy for a repair then email them a month or so later for another vehicle issue with no reply, only to find out the guy is no longer there. In fact, even with a service advisor who is still there, I found they’re not big on responding to emails. Since contact over the phone is so hard I resorted to trying email a few times, but got no reply at all, when I finally broke down and went there in person, one of the guys was there and helped me. While talking he said “oh yeah, I got your email before, did you get that wheel taken care of that time”..? So he obviously received my email but chose to ignore it. He’s no longer there, he did not seem like a very happy employee. In closing, I think they might be a victim of their own success...? Too busy sometimes to speak to would-be customers, the advisors are trying their best but between a line-up in the store and the phones ringing non stop they must get stressed. I know for tire quotes, over the phone you can choose a number from the phone menu and be re-directed to someone JUST giving you pricing for tires, I used that service once and found the person was not very well informed. I wonder if a similar option could be put in place for answering telephone inquiries about scheduling service or getting an update on your vehicle..? To an extent I get it, I operate a service business as well but on a way smaller scale obviously. Lord knows we have our own challenges including finding and retaining quality, dedicated people to carry out the company’s vision, perhaps that’s the key, they need to somehow find or train more/better people to try and provide the “True Service” that is their catch phrase. Then they might move to a 4 or 5 star rating from me.

Have been dealing with Kal Tire since around 1991. Very happy with their service regardless of which location. Recently I encountered a circumstance that I thought was their error. After I explained my position, they dealt with matter in a very fair and professional manner. I shortly thereafter discovered the error was not theirs, but my dealer service department. Advised Kal Tire of that, and now I’m still waiting for an outcome from the dealer! Everyone occasionally makes mistakes, but trye character shows in the resolution. In my issue, when Kal Tire thought it was their error, they immediately stepped up. They took responsibility and offered to make it right. Extremely impressive!

After I hit my right front tire to the curb under the snow conditions. So I wanted to do a wheel alignment. They told me it will be $2000 fix then wheel alignment for $120. So I went to WV dealer for a 2nd opinion just around the corner and VW told me I didn’t need to fix anything to do a wheel alignment. ????. I almost lost $2000 for nothing!???? On the other hand, they offer FREE Flat tire fix even I didn't buy the tires there. I am 100% sure I will be buying next set of tires there. Just buy some tires at Kaltire!

I was in the area when I discovered that I had run over some nails in my front left tire. I quickly Googled tire shops that are open on a holiday and luckily Kal Tire was open. Dropped by Kal-Tire today just to get a slow leak repaired. The lady at the counter got me in right away and the wait was reasonable for showing up without an appointment. Despite the fact she was the only one on the front desk, dealing with customers on the phone, in person, calls waiting and managing work orders for the mechanics, she seemed to hold her comportment even though you could clearly see that she was overwhelmed. The service I received was great. However the 3 stars is for the owner to have a closer look at ensuring there is proper support for front line staff when they are the face of the business. Hopefully this employee is recognized for her efforts today.

Driving home from Osoyoos to Calgary on Tuesday, got a flat by two punctures just 20km north of Cranbrook, got a tow to Kal Tire in Cranbrook before it closed. Above and Beyond is all I can say. I had problems with my 2 front tires, leaking valve stems I figured. Finally, I found time to get them checked out so I looked online for a place close to where I was at the moment. Reviews matter...it's because of the online reviews I stopped here. Anyway, long story short...They (Tiffany) fit me in right away, their tech serviced my tires...incl new stems and a grinding of debris off the rims, all to find out there was no charge for all of this. Came out to replace a blown tire on my U-haul trailer in the late evening very quickly. The guy was all business: he pulled up, removed the blown tire, swapped in the new one, tightened the lugs, and was off again in less than 10 minutes. The next morning, I stopped by the shop and they came out to re-torque the lugs to make sure it was in good condition. Everyone seemed friendly and service was quick. They will offer a wheel alignment with your new tires - and say it's a free inspection if there is no alignment done. You can be guaranteed that they will do one. Had it done on my 2 year old dealer maintained Acura that didn't pull or show abnormal tire wear. Typical upsell from car garage and I fell for it. Complained and got it reduce to $80. If you don't believe you need it, ask them to remove the line item.

Changed over my winter to summer tires was fine. Then when I was about to leave the driver's door handle was broken and 1 of the winter tires had a gouge out it. I had to bring both to their attention: the door handle took 2 appointments to fix because they ordered the wrong one the first time. The tire gouge they said was nothing. I went to another Kal Tire and they replaced the tire for me. The overall experience was less than great in Dawson Creek.

I ordered some winter tires and rims a few weeks back. The rep told me that they would have to order rims and it would be a few days. One week later, no news, I call in and they tell me that the rims haven't arrived yet, it'll be a few more days. Another week passes, I call back in and apparently the rims had arrived later in the previous week. Great, now I make an appointment that is two weeks out, this is close to winter, it's busy, so I can accept that. Three days later, somebody from KalTire calls me to see if anybody had called me about my rims. We're off to a great start. I bring the car in to get the tires put on and first off the appointment was made for a different car than I have, luckily the right tires/rims were ordered. It then turns out there are wheel locks which I wasn't aware of, my fault. I make an appointment with the dealer the next day to have those removed and I asked the rep at KalTire if I can bring my car in after that to have them change the tires. They say sure, because I couldn't get them done the day I made the appointment. The next day, after I have the wheel locks removed, I called them and first the woman that answered put me on hold for 10 minutes to check if I could bring my car in and never came back to the phone. I called back again (after three tries) and the guy that answers tells me that there is no way that they can get my car in and maybe I could bring it in on Saturday, leave it with them for the entire day and they'll see if they can get to it. Living in Kitchener and having to leave it in Cambridge for an entire day is out of the question. I asked them if I can just pick up the tires, the guy says he needs to check the tires to make sure they're okay, something like that. He leaves for 3 or 4 minutes and comes back with 'KalTire, how can I help you?' Seriously? WTF? The only reason that I'm not giving them one star is because the price was reasonable. Other than that, one of the worse customer service experiences I have ever had. I will never, ever take my car to this company ever again, nor will I ever recommend them to anybody. I ended up taking it to a local shop (Hohner Automotive in Waterloo), they got me in the next day first thing in the morning and my tires were changed in less than 20minutes.

I pulled in, in a bad mood! My week old truck had a punctured tire. I was immediately greeted by Giselle in the parking lot. Giselle quickly assessed my problem, and gave me news I didn't want to hear, that my puncture was not repairable. But, Giselle quickly jumped into action and had my truck in the bay with the spare installed and took lots of care to disinfect the inside of the car and cover the appropriate areas of my interior to protect it from grease, dirt, etc while the vehicle was worked on. The manager in the meantime located me a new tire and scheduled install. He too, was sympathetic to my situation which I appreciated . Also impressive was the fact that he didn't try to UNNECESSARILY try to upsell me during the transaction. I hate car related maintenance and purchases. I know I'm always up against dishonesty and manipulation. Not at kal tire! I was impressed by the professionalism shown by both Giselle and the Manger! I'll be back in the fall to purchase a set of snows and some winter rims. Professionalism, great service, very pricing! What more could I ask for?

Came here the other day to have my exhaust worked on and a leak fixed in my tire. My problems we're dealt with promptly and in both a competent and courteous manner by Hassan at the front desk and DJ in the mechanic shop. They quickly found a cost-effective solution to my troubles and had me on my way in a reasonable amount of time. I would not hesitate to either come back for future work or to recommend their services. One suggestion I would make, if you were waiting on the premises for the work to be done to your car, take a book, I imagine do to covid-19 they removed all reading materials from the waiting area and once you watched the news highlights repeat for the third time on CP24 all you have to look at are tire displays. I didn't see a customer Wi-Fi password posted and I didn't bother to ask, but they did seem genuinely nice enough that they probably would have shared it if I had done so. All around a clean and professionally run shop.

Our tire blew out outside of Dawson Creek. We brought out car in the next morning to Kal Tires. He went out of the way to call around and see if there were any tires in the area as we didn't have a common tire anyone holds. Then he got our tire put on freight to get us up and running so we could head back to our home in Alaska. They were on time and made sure everything was good to go. Excellent service!

I went in without an appointment as the metal stem on my wheel broke. I was told $60 to fix and they took it in right away. As I was waiting the gentleman brought my wheel to me and explained it had rusted that’s why it broke and my sensor broke off as they were trying to repair it. He explained they would be able to put a rubber one with sensor on instead so I wouldn’t have an issue with rust again, but the sensor cost around $50, I said go ahead. They finished up and when they gave me my bill, it was $68.53! They only charged me for the sensor!!!! I expected to pay over $120 so was very surprised and grateful ???? They now have my repeated business and I will be telling everyone I know about the great service.

I went to Kal Tire after getting a flat tire and being unable to remove one of the bolts on the tire. Kal Tire was able to service the vehicle in a very reasonable amount of time and the cost was VERY affordable! Extremely great customer service, everyone was really nice and friendly. These guys are clearly the best in town, not just because they are helpful, friendly and courteous tire pros, but after only visiting once a few years ago, every time I came back for small things like leaks, re-torquing etc they never charged me and even when a wheel lug was damaged they removed for free! For tires and service itself, the prices are competitive but not the point. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Cambridge just to save a dollar when I've received real added value multiple times over - they've earned my business - don't go anywhere else.

Despite how busy these guys are, they always seem to get the job done right and on time. I came in to purchase new tires for summer, still had my winter rims on, so it was going to be quite a job getting new rubber on the stock rims. These guys did it in less time than quoted, while the shop was super busy for a late afternoon appointment. To my surprise the tires I selected based on best value/price was actually one of the highest customer tested and rated tire, another bonus that you didn't have to shell out a lot of money for name brand tires that underperform. After it was complete and time to pay, not sure if I just over estimated but the price came lower than expected. By this time I was a happy customer ready to be on my way. After a quick check around my vehicle I realized due to the many events happening at the shop, that my winter tires didn't make it back in to the vehicle. They had a tech come by immediately and ensured I was taken care of, he found the tires and returned promptly to my vehicle. There was just this feeling of great service to all their customers, I felt I was treated right and with care. I am very happy with my service at Kal, and after driving the car out of there with the new tires, very happy with my purchase as well. No better place to go out and get tires than here. Job well done.

This review doesn't deserve the one star I was forced to choose. Online website shows 5pm closing time on Saturday. I showed up at 2:50 pm for a tire repair. The customer service rep informed me that all staff were leaving at 3pm. No friendly tone in her voice either, like she was annoyed to have a customer come in for the business before the early close. Covid times so I made an appointment to get a nail out of my tire when normally I would just pop in. On the phone was told 30 mins, when I got there, he said 45 mins and I ended up waiting an hour. Then got charged $45 for a nail removal. Most expensive nail removal I’ve ever had. Kal-tire in Whitehorse, Yukon has never charged me and is usually done in 25 mins tops for a walk in. Disappointed of the service here. I’ll be going to a different tire shop next time. 2 stars because they at least managed to get the nail out and wiped my tires off after.

Alright, So I went to kal Tire on Boundry Road to get my car’s flat tire fixed. They kept me waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes and they couldn’t even manage to take the tire out. After wasting my valuable time, manager came to me with my car keys and said we couldn’t take out the tire because one of the tire bolt is not coming out. I Immediately rushed and went to Rasha auto in burnaby and they took the wheel out in less than 2 minutes, fixed it and put it back in 10 minutes. Don’t waste your time visiting them.

Even when I don't know something about my own vehicle, they have always done a good job at humbly explaining and making me feel appreciated. Run far and fast from this place. By far the worst procedures for dealing with customers and making appointments. I purchased tires from here a few years ago and they offered free repairs as part of the tire package. I got a nail in my tire recently and was told to come at 8am the next day. When I showed up at 7:50am, there was a line of 15 people with more showing up the whole time. A worker came out and told us that only the first 5 customers could get in right away and the rest would have to leave their car for the day. Everyone in line was told the same thing: come tomorrow at 8am and we will work on your vehicle. So, they tell ALL of us to come in at 8am with no mention of how busy it will be or the fact that they won't be able to even do the work in a timely manner. I went to Fountain Tire down the road and got in right away. And, guess what, Fountain Tire takes appointments. See ya, Kal Tire! I do not recommend your business. You don't respect your customers' time and your "warranty" is meaningless if you can't fulfill your commitment.

Awesome experience today. Went in without an appointment with a tire that went flat on the weekend. Despite being short staffed, they took the tire and told me they would let me know if they could repair it. Got a text awhile later saying it was "done". When I arrived at the office they offered to put the tire back on the car as part of the repair. Took about 30 minutes and then was told it was "taken care of". No charge. I was speechless. There was no need to comp me, but they did of their own accord. Will definitely return and tell my friends. Great service all!!!!

Got my car towed to Kal Tire and they did everything humanly possible to get me back on the road before the day was done stayed late past their closing time to do it. I went in for a tire change and to patch a tire which I scheduled an appointment. It was clearly a very busy day as the parking lot was full. The appointment was expected to take an hour but it ended up taking about 1.5 hours as the shop was running behind. I wasn't surprised as it was the start of spring and tire shops are often very busy. When my car arrived back and I was preparing to pay, the service representative offered the services free of charge as it took longer than the expected 1 hours. I was very impressed with this type of customer service and I will certainly consider this Kal Tire location again for my future tire needs.

The company I work for has an account with Kal TIre. To cut to the chase, they do fine work. I've never had anything less than stellar work done on any road call or service call to the location where I was. The only downside is that the wait times can be rather excruciating, with no in-between call to advise of update on ETA. It's a real downer, especially when you can hit a baseball from where you need them to the shop on Kipling. I guess they only have so many road service vehicles.

Pretty great service Update: Had our appointment from out of town screwed up because of an error in ordering the required parts. So from our two appointments they did a good job of installing tires but that's where it ended. Got another business to resolve the issue and they found that only one bearing had failed not the two Kal Tire had diagnosed (the other noise was the brakes grinding). I have a big issue with replacing a good bearing at several hundred dollars apiece.

They do not answer the phone, EVER! They always have two people working the counter and I've never reached them on the phone. I've been in the office and I was the only customer in the store, the phone constantly rings and the other guy at the counter just ignores it. SHYSTERS quoted my 2500 dollars in repairs that were needed before a wheel alignment. Went to a different mechanic and they said I didn't need most of the stuff Kal Tire told me and it only costed 600 including the alignment.
