I just wanted to let everyone know my experience I had at Westcoast Tire last week. I had another "Tire Shop" install a tire on my car a couple of months ago, it went flat within 48 hours. I went back, after an hour I was told that it was a tire valve; it was replaced for free. Within 30 hours the tire was flat again. I went to Westcoast Tire for my third visit for the same tire. I was greeted, and sent right into the shop with my car. The guys there said I was going to watch the entire process so there was no doubt in any steps they took to figure out the issue. I have to say, those guys figured out what was wrong, and repaired what should have been done the first two times, within 20 minutes. They were as shocked as I was that it wasn't dealt with care previously at the other "Tire Shop" as the bead on my tire had been cracked in 3 places from the lack of care taken. I was treated incredibly, and the bill was $10.00 It doesn't get better than that!! I actually feel safe driving now thanks to everyone at Westcoast Tire. Thanks guys!

I can not even rate this business as I did not even make it into the store before I was turned off by there customer service. When I had called to enquire about tires not only was I on hold for 8 min 23 sec I at that point I decided to hang up and called back when I did the women who I thought was a receptionist had asked me to hold again I politely stated before she place me on hold again that I had been waiting for 8 min 23 sec already and was just about to ask if i could get a return phone call when she had replied with " My dear how about I place the phone on the counter not on hold so you can hear I'm doing nothing " All I could reply was wow so I had hung up and called back to ask to speak to a manager she answered again and stated she was the manager far as I am concerned weather or not she is really busy which I can understand but the reply to me was so unprofessional

Unbelievabley fast efficient service,witha really neat waiting area with swivel seats mounted along a wall of windows looking into the shop keeps the interest of the young ones(and some of the old,like me). These folks are excellent. I ordered a set of tires for my little import mini-truck that are a challenge to find, and they had them within a couple of business days, and their price was more than reasonable. Tires installed in less time than it took me to walk my dog a bit up the street and back. Yes they are a little out of the way, and I live by Uvic, but it's worth the time to go see them the next time you're looking for tires.

Wanted a new set of BFG K02's, literally wasted 2 hours of leg work from Kal tire to BigO based on existing tire trade in towards a discount on a new set. I haven't gone anywhere else for new tires or tire repairs since 1991 when we first stopped in to see if they could fix a flat within a few hours (Canadian Tire had told me to leave the car and they'd see if they could do it by closing time, some seven hours hence). Our flat was repaired in under 30 minutes, we had courtesy coffee and reading material, and our kids had toys to play with and a huge aquarium to keep their interest. And although I've looked elsewhere, I have yet to find better pricing or as large a selection of readily available tire makes, styles, or sizes.

Great Prices, but very poor attitudes and customer service from the front desk. You get the feeling that talking to them is wasting their time, and you're more of an annoyance. I feel the people at the front desk could take a course in customer relations. The people actually doing the work are very kind though.

The people there are the most ethical ive come across in a very long time. I expected to need a new set of tires and they said no that the tires on the car still have plenty of tread. They fixed a slow leak in a valve stem and checked all of the tire pressures very quickly. They were so pleasant to deal with previously and today that I'm never going anywhere else for tires.

that wasn't Nitrogen in my tires ! I know because I went over the mountains and it got cold! Also, I have a bottle of compressed Nitrogen and have experimented with air and Nitrogen on long trips! I definitely felt like they were giving me good product knowledge, not just pushing what they had in stock. I checked online reviews for their recommended run flat tires and found similar enthusiasm for what they recommended. Installation took no more than 40 minutes from the time I pulled in to the lot. It ended up costing over a hundred dollars less than other quotes, and the dealership was insanely high priced. Oh, they even reminded me to check to bring in the wheel lock before driving out to their store. That likely saved a trip, because for some reason it wasn't in the car. Thanks for the great advice on tires, the good price, quick service, and reminder that saved me a bunch of driving time and gas. This will be my first place to check for future tire replacements.

I very rarely post any comments about a business, but this is an exception. I have been buying tires for 3 vehicles from West Coast Tires for over 12 years. Throughout this time West Coast Tires have been outstanding. Their prices have always been very good (difficult to find better) and their customer focus and industry knowledge is excellent. These are simply good people to deal with. When you ask for a ‘quote’ then the price that they advise is ‘firm’! It is exactly what you would pay. Unlike many other tire outlets they do not try and push ‘add ons’…… Well worth checking out. Highly recommended.

Yup five stars they earned each and every single one of them 1st was fair prices 2nd they were able to have in stock the exact tires other company's did not have 3rd there were even a variety to choose from. 4th The employees were Beyond helpful knowledgeable and eager to go above and beyond expectations and even recommended the less expensive tires as it suited my needs better. 5th they were able to have my appointment done in a hour even as a walk-in and close to closing time too. the staff even assisted my preparations to secure my old 38'' SU SW in my blazer and gave no qualms when it took awhile to do so. It's a hands down good decision to shop there and even worth the trip even from a bit up island.

I went to a number of places that told me I needed winter tires and quoted $800 - $1200 to purchase them. When I called WestCoast Tire the woman who answered the phone was nice and helpful. She not only answered my questions but was truly patient while I searched through my owners manual trying to find answers. She suggested I bring my car in so they can look at the tires. This was at 4:35 pm and they close at 6:00 pm. I jumped in the car and got there just after 5:00 pm. The woman at the counter turned out to be the amazing woman I spoke with on the phone. She looked at the tires, determined my tire depth was more than 3.5 - 4.0 and that I did have the MS on my tire therefore I did not need winter tires. On the phone she had quoted under $500 for winter tires. Now after looking at my tires this wonderful person was saying I didn't need to get winter tires - that's honesty! She took the time to photo copy the ICBC information on winter tires and went over it so I would understand it. I mentioned my back tire on the passenger side was leaking air and she asked the men in the back if they could check the tire. Turned out I had some metal stuck in the tire and for under $16.00 they patched it. I can't tell you how relieved and grateful I am for the help I received at WestCoast Tire. I will gladly spread the word that this is the place to go for accurate, honest information. Thank you WestCoast Tire!

Have had several dealings with Westcoast Tire. Am not surprised at some of the reviews I have read. I have experienced positive and negative feedback from the front desk people, but upon reflecting back, their attitudes were just a reflection of my own on each particular occasion. Best tire shop in town and I highly recommend them to anyone needing tires or rims that don't want to go through a dealership. We got rims and winter tires for my wife's Nissan Rouge, I regret not getting my winter tires for my Tacoma from these guys that I had at that time I got my wife's winter tires, I went to kale tire (worst decision ever) in Langford as they could never balance them correctly ended up going to the Toyota dealership (should have sent kale tire the bill after that) never went back to them after that incident. I just got a set of BF Goodrich all terrain KO2's tires for my 2021 F-150 to replace the stock ones and couldn't be happier especially as they gave me the best price, if you know anything about the KO2's there not a cheap tire and I have the larger rim too. There staff are super friendly and I always leave with a smile on my face, I can see now why my dad when I was little always went to these guys regardless of where we lived in town :)

Quality staff and service. I was told by the business that does my car maintenance that I needed new tires especially on the front and since I was changing tire types that meant all 4 should be replaced. I talked with West Coast and reserved 4 All Season radials for my Smart Car. When I arrived he took one look at them and said you do not have to replace them for another year. I mentioned what I had been told and he said, he sticks by what he says as he does not want to be on the road with someone who needs tires and that is not me. So I can keep the $700 in my pocket for another year! Thank you West Coast for your honesty and trustworthiness.

WILL NOT MOUNT/BALANCE WHEELS AND TIRES NOT PURCHASED IN STORE. have been going here for years to either purchase new tires or get wheels/tires mounted and balanced usually with very good service. I tried to bring some brand new wheels and tires by to get mounted a couple weeks ago as they have been my go to place. The fellow turned me away immediately and said they won’t mount anything that wasn’t purchased from them because “it wasn’t worth his time”, i tried pretty hard to give them my Money with no luck. he told me there is only one place in town that will deal with mounting new wheels and tires not purchased in store. Trying to avoid that long drive I made a quick call and trip to the nearest kal tire and proved that wrong, they took the wheels/tires and mounted them for me that afternoon with no grief.

Super happy with the new All Weather tires I just had installed on my truck. Pulled in at 9:00am, on the road again by 9:35am. I needed 4 new tires for my 4×4 truck and they were able to have them mounted and installed in less than 45 minutes although the tires I bought weren't cheap they still quoted less than the competition and unlike most shops in Victoria area they have a large selection of oversized off-road tires. They also mounted mounted two spares for free. Great shop for 4x4s

Called West coast tire this morning to inquire about r compound tires in a specific size hoping to order a fairly large quantity of tires. Was met with rudeness and a condescending tone from a woman on the phone who said "it's not in the book" and r compounds are only made by BF Goodrich.So no phone call to a distributor could be made or availability can't be checked on a computer?just because a catalog doesn't show up means it's unavailable? Front end staff that don't care much about they're jobs really can ruin potential service and and income for a shop. I used to use West coast a lot now I won't ever set foot through there doors again.

Swapped FIVE tires on my truck, fixed a nail in my spare, thoroughly cleaned my new/used tires I bought elsewhere, balanced all five, installed and torqued... For UNDER $100 and I came 20 min. Before closing with no appointment during winter tire swap season, all other shops were booked up for nearly 2 weeks. Friendly, Fast, cheapest on the Island and no appointment. Up until last week no complaints. However, less than 20 km after a tire rotation I had to pull off the road and discovered that ALL the lug nuts on front left wheel were very loose. After cranking them tight myself, I returned to their shop. My story was "listened to" , tire was checked and I was given a grudging apology for what had been a life threatening situation. An offer to review camera footage and report back to me was made and I have heard nothing. Previously satisfied customer will not be returning.

Super service! Best team service anywhere! From the time you drive in to the parking lot till you drive out again very impressive! When you get there a staff member is instantly at your car to help you. Then you drive into the Bay Area where immediately another staff member takes off the tire. The old tire is disposed of and another staff member is putting the rim on the new tire which is then put onto the car. While all this activity is going on you remain in the car. A staff member brings the bill to your car and it’s done without ever leaving your car. 25 minutes later you are driving off the lot. Everyone was super friendly and courteous! Although I hope my tires don’t spring a leak anytime soon I would go back there in a heartbeat!

Wow! First time at Westcoast Tire today and they've now got a new customer whenever I need tire work. Fast service. More and cheaper options than at a dealership. I saved $219 today! Large, clean waiting area with free coffee, chocolates, donuts (at least today, but almost gone by 12:30!) newspapers, magazines, travel guidebooks, etc. to read. I was there less than an hour (including the 20 minutes it took to replace my tire with a perfectly good used one.) Thank you! Highly recommended!!!!!

I have purchased tires from Westcoast before, completely satisfied. Purchased and had installed 4 Continental Cross Contact for my SUV. Service and prices : excellent. This time by the time I drove from their shop to Sidney the back tire was completely flat. I called but it was 15 minutes after closing and they don't have an answering machine. Hope I don't have to drive all the way back on Monday. I also noted that the grease and dirty finger prints were left on the rims. My SUV is a Land Rover and it was serviced and cleaned a week ago. I thought they should have cleaned up after themselves.

Nice, knowledgable and fair. **Until we needed a tire plugged and they charged us when it's supposed to be free after a tire purchase. No offer to refund after the mistake. We also dropped a spare off to be fixed and they threw away our Lorinser rim and tire without a phone call that it was ready or notice that they would "throw away" our property, again no offer to compensate for the $500 rim. Service used to be they're moto, not so much anymore. The long drive isn't worth it these days.
