Had a great experience as a non-car-savvy person. They operated below estimate, worked quickly and within the estimated timeframe. Only complaints I have is the waiting/line up area is confusing and there is little organization on that front; and when I picked up my vehicle, the process was rusand I wasn't able to get my full report on the car that I paid f. I'm sure it's all on file, so I'm not too worried on that front. Minor drawbacks, but all around would trust again, even though they are not "brand specialists", they really know what they're doing

Turned a $100 into a $1000 job. I get things happen, but I wasn't too pleased with having an afternoon in the shop turn into a week, and to have the deskman talk to me like I was a loon. Again, I completely get it, and I have family who go here for convenience, but there are better service/communication elsewhere, specifically at local shops (shop local, friends)

My dad and I got our PAL recently and the selection of fire arms here is pretty good, so we started coming here and we bought a few rifles and a gun safe, we've spent at least $6000 here. Went in to buy a certain rifle and Elliot was supposed to be in, but he wasn't that day, we ended up getting the rifle anyways because the girl there (Caroline) assured me that we could come back and get the price protection on the rifle next time we come in as long as it's within 14 days. So we went in today to get the price protection and a supervisor just refused us, said they don't do price protection on rifles and that he won't help us at all and to shop somewhere else then. Needless to say we won't be buying here anymore, you'd think they help customers who are loyal and spend thousands of dollars at the store, but they don't care about the customers at all.

At first, I had a flat tire and it needed repair. I got my tow service to tow it to this location. I contacted this Centre to let them know that my vehicle is there and needed tire repair. They say that they will try to get it done on the same day but no promises but they can try to get it done one day after due to being closed on Saturday. I was okay with that. I was told that I am the first on the list for no appointment service and it will be done on Sunday. I called back Sunday morning to check the progress. I was told that I am now on the 3rd on the list and it may not be done but it may be done next day. I was thinking why am I the third now on the list? I needed the car for transportation and repairing tire should be easy, simple, and would not take that long to do it. But my car was sitting there for like 3 days. I asked if they can try to get it done today but they can't promise and they have not even looked at it yet that so I got upset but there was nothing I can do. I was thinking in the future, if I ever need to tow my car again, I will not be bringing my car to this location because if there is no appointment, just expect it will take very long time to get your car serviced. Edit: Surprisingly, got a call back in the evening on Sunday saying that it was done and that I can pick it up. It made me happy. Hence, changing my review.

When buying a car from used Victoria I took it in to Canadian Tire for a pre-purchase inspection and the staff on duty were great with arranging a time that would work for both myself and the original owner of the car. They did a very thorough check and I have now had my car for over 6 months and I'm so glad I bought it! Thanks to the Canadian Tire staff for giving me the assurance that the car I was buying was in the condition as advertised :)

I was after a set of specific tires (Wrangler Duratracs) and these wonderful folks had the last set on the entire west coast and were able to hold them for two days so I could come get them! Not only that but for cheaper than I expected! Thank you so much!

Good store busy this time of year so trying to find someone to unlock a cabinet took far to long as it was difficult to find someone with a key to open it so I could get my item. This happens every time with the stuff in locked cabinets. Which I find to be really stupid the things they choose to put in those cabinets sometimes

I really like the text-updates system. In my case, while mounting winter tires they noticed that a tie rod also require attention, and I was able to communicate with them via text about the severity and quote for the job, which saved me a trip/appointment in the future. Staff I dealt with (mostly Gary) were honest, patient, communicative, and accommodating. Also, when asking around to mechanic friends and other shops their prices seemed very reasonable.

Had a recent oil change, however after a couple of days noticed oil leaking. Took it back and discovered it was a faulty plug installed. They took my vehicle in right away fixed the problem quickly. They apoļogized for this and the next oil change is free. They were great. I've been taking my vehicles there for years and never been disappointed. Thanks again guys!

I've taken a car in for servicing at this location a few times and the service has generally been fine. The last time was for an oil change and they also fixed a break light, but they did something to the electrical control unit that caused my oil warning light to turn on, which I didn't immediately notice. Brought the car back just before closing and they figured out what was wrong and reset the unit. In the end, I felt they did a good job fixing their mistake and I was happy overall.

Manager Mack and Ryan were so amazing and really made my day by squeezing me in and have the right starter brought to the shop so they could get me to the emergency and then home to Nanaimo. The mechanic was quick at what he was doing and finished the job within half an hour or so. Dropped off a battery to be charged (test if it's dead or will hold a charge) at 10am, expecting a call a couple hours later. No call. They didn't answer the phone when I called thee different times that day and three times the next day. Stopped back in the next day and was informed they may not have actually put it on the charger. Next they performed a charge test in front of me that didn't pass... but may not have been put on a charger and is exactly the same as when I brought it in. Thank you so much for literally doing nothing. Only earned that one star because the guy at the counter was nice enough to answer a couple unrelated questions.

Who is answering the phones at this store?!?! I've called about 10 times, select the department that I want and go on hold. After a brief hold, I am looped back to the beginning and again asked which department I need and what service and go on hold. Looped back to the beginning again and again and again. OR the alternative happens and you just plain get hung up on or the phone rings out. No voice-mail, no let us call you back, nada! This is ridiculous and unprofessional. Do you even want the business? Doesn't seem like you do. Maybe don't have a phone line if you have no intention of answering it.

I need it Winter Tires for my GMC vehicle, and Tao the Manager of the Shop suggested me to get the Michelin tires for my SUV. They had it installed and also they check to see if there was anything else my vehicle was in need of repair work need it. Peter the installer was so nice to pack my All Season Tires in a Bag without any ripping and cleaned. I have taken my vehicle for repairs for many years now and I trust thier work and dedication plus they care for the customer and tell you what is need it and what you don't need as many other shops that try to sell you things you don't need. Recently I needed a place to perform an out of province inspection on recently purchased car. I had called around to many places, *(BCAA, and at least 10 other qualified BC provincial inspector shops)* and ONLY Canadian Tire on Cedar hill was able to immediately inspect my car within 2 days compared to weeks out. I delivered the car and was very satisfied with the promptness and courtesy of the service. Canadian Tire personnel texted me updates while the car was being inspected and I was informed of any issues that had been noted. And finally and most importantly, I was not price gouged on the cost, which amounted to about $150 with tax. I highly highly recommend anyone who is needed to get an out of province inspection to check with Canadian Tire FIRST before calling anyone else.

Without a doubt the biggest joke of a service Dept I have ever had the misfortune in dealing with. Brought a car in for a customer for a pure purchase inspection after it had already been through 2 reputable shops Their tech called a leaking valve gasket and their service writer Terry told the customer it was unsafe causing him to cancel the deal. This is where it gets good the service writer forgot to get payment from the customer so expected us to pay. When we refused he ran away not to be seen again. We then waited 200 minutes until someone else took over who at least one what he was talking about Matt. Matt came out to the car with us and was asked to show us where the leak was which he could not. Matt offered to have the tech who did the work come out which he refused to do. In the time I was there another customer was waiting to have her ban back latch repeated. Apparently the tech broke his drill bit in the lock and they were trying to charge her shop time to extract the but. Another customer was picking up his wheel which they had broken changing tires. BOTTOM LINE GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

Unprofessional and obnoxious customer service, have no respect for other peoples time. Since You have not found the details. Let me give you the details. A few weeks earlier I have changed four of my tires. During the delivery I as asked to come back to adjust wheel torque after 150km of driving. I have repetitively asked whether I needed an appointment for that. I was assured that no appointment is needed. On Friday around 1:00 when I walked into the store asking for wheel torque adjustment they asked me to park my car behind the store. I didn't understand at first time where to park it. they were very rude when I asked again where to park. I ignored that. But then I waited more than one hour and 15 min for the service, that I was assumed will not take any time. I waited and no body showed up.

When I called, the person I spoke to recommended expensive tires. I didn't know any better so I booked the appointment. When I got there, the people behind the desk noticed how expensive they were and suggested several other tires. Then, the mechanics looked at my old tires and said they were fine - I didn't need to buy any. They could have talked me into spending $800, but instead took care of me. I'll be back.

Makes me angry that pr--ks like this exists in an area with 'starving' Uvic kids needing car-fixes, thinking the big brand of CT and mainly in-their-neighbourhood was the way to go and will help them (not!). .......... Takeaway: this spot too high!! Get phone quotes!! I don't know if Hillside has service but again B'mead does.

I brought my vehicle in for maintenance to this location; a routine oil change, a brake light issue. Both of these issues were resolved, however following the appointment, there were added complications. I had left my vehicle onsite for the day, and was notified midday of further maintenance recommendations on a few items that had not been previously discussed. One of them being a replacement battery. As I felt there had not been any issues with the vehicle prior to the appointment, this work was unnecessary, so I opted to proceed only with the work we had agreed upon. Upon retrieving my vehicle at the end of the day, there were two issues. The first being that the running lights on the car had been left on, and the second that the glove compartment had been unhinged. The clerk was able to assist reconnecting the glove compartment right away, which was appreciated. Ever since this appointment, my vehicle has struggled to turnover, requiring a few turns of the key to turn on. I suspect the battery was drained from the running lights being left on. While I suppose this may have been an oversight, it seemed to confirm the narrative that my battery needed to be replaced, despite not having had any issues prior. This left me feeling a bit uncomfortable getting further work done at this location. If this had been intentional or not, I cannot trust this team with the maintenance of my vehicle. In summary, I believe the team at this location is capable of simple and routine work, however I am not confident in their thoroughness to complete any work outside of this.

Tried to tell me I brought the incorrect part to install on my car because they couldn't find the holes to mount it. They just needed to remove the stickers covering the holes as per the one page instructions that came with the part. I took it to another garage and had it installed promptly and easily. To their credit they didn't charge for labor as they didn't actually install anything.

Just had a second set of Cooper Discoverer tires installed on my truck. Last set lasted six years, 64K miles, 103K Kms. This shop has done the installs and rotations for all these years plus repairing and replacing tires for some of my friends. This service center is beyond amazing. I was told by another garage I had a dangerous problem with ball joints and Canadian Tire was going to fix it for a great price and they found out they were perfectly fine. A different garage was trying to dupe me and were quite aggressive. The staff here explained everything so thoroughly and provided me accurate info. No work needed to be done. Was annoyed that another garage wanted to dupe me but very happy I went for a second opinion with them. Saved me 1500$. They are honest, knowledgable and quick to get you in. I will go back time and time again because I trust these guys. It's hard to find a decent garage these days. Thank you so much to the whole team!!! Jamie

Called in Thursday to see if they had time to repair a slow leak in 1 tire. The guy that answered the phone said they wouldn't have time until Saturday. I asked what time and he said Saturday was completely wide open and suggested 9am. I asked how long it would take and he replied it should take 40 minutes. So I told him to book that time. When I showed up on Saturday there were 3 guys at the counter and 1 person with a tire in front of me. Nobody said anything. It took 5 minutes before Neil started serving the customer in front of me. I wasn't paying much attention but I overheard the last part of their conversation. The customer didn't want to provide his personal information to Canadian Tire as his info is permanently on their system. Neil said it was company policy and couldn't provide service. The customer walked out with his flat tire in hand saying in this day and age with privacy concerns the policy should change. I don't know if this exchange had any bearing on my exchange with Neil. He served me next. I told him I had a 9am appointment to repair a tire. He told me that I could expect a call from him before 4 as to when my car could be picked up. He told me I had a booking that was standby... not an actual appointment. I told him what I was told during my phone conversation and that person did not say I had to leave my car there all day... I was told it would take 40 minutes and it was an appointment. Also as I didn't anticipate this I did not have transportation home. Neil told me that I was incorrect and the person I spoke with on the phone would not have made a mistake. Basically he was saying I was lying and trying to get faster service. I know what I was told on the phone. I understand people make mistakes. But I'm baffled as to why this Canadian Tire employee would go out of his way to refuse any acknowledgement that there may have been a mistake during the booking process. If Neil would decide to deny any wrong on something so blatant would he do the same on a mechanical repair that didn't go right? I hope the entire garage culture is not in line with this employee. It appears that at the very least the service counter staff need training on customer service... or maybe they already have and are implementing the training... There are better garages out there that will help make your day better and will make efforts to solve a problem... not view the customer as the problem... or view them as a liar. Update... a few things transpired since first writing this review. Neil did book me in as a regular appointment to repair the tire the following day. So I went in again. After 20 minutes I was told the leak was due to a nail but the nail was too close to the side wall and not safe to fix. And I couldn't replace one tire because they didnt carry the same brand so they would have to sell me 2 tires. I decided to search for a tire shop that carried the same brand so I left again without my tire being fixed. I went to another national chain tire shop and they assessed the tire as being safe to repair as the nail was more than 1 inch from sidewall and puncture wasn't going towards the side wall. They questioned CT's assessment. I question how many customers end up buying 2 new tires? The owner of this franchise location called me in response to the initial review post... just before I went to the other national chain. He commented that 1 star reviews affect guys that are trying to make a living and asked if I was angry. He did not acknowledge his employees making any mistakes but instead said it sounded like the person who made the first appointment did not do a good job telling me that I had to leave my car as standby. He offered me free balacing if I bought new tires there. Needless to say I'm happy with my decision to go to their competitor. It enlightened me. A simple tire repair is not simple and your choice in shops is very important.

I brought my vehicle in to have the tail light bulb changed. I was initially disappointed in their service as, after nearly 2 hours of waiting (they did my headlight in that time as well), they changed the wrong tail light on my vehicle and I drove away still with only one working tail light. I had to return the next day to get it redone (since it was the end of the day). When I asked why they didn’t “check” to make sure it was fixed before returning it to me they said they were “busy” and that they’re “robots” and do as they are told (there was a miscommunication issue where the reception wrote down the wrong tail light side). The good thing is, they were apologetic and made the changes right away the next day. I didn’t have to wait long even though they were busy in the shop. Just to be safe, they changed all the bulbs on my tail lights (which was a total of 6) and didn’t charge me. All in all, amends were made to an upsetting situation. The manager also called me and asked for my comments. I trust that this was just an uncommon mistake and they treat customers and their vehicles with utmost respect and care. The fact that they’re always booked up with customers I think speaks to their quality of service. No hard feelings. Thank you for your service, for following up and being thorough in the end.

The receptionists were kind, and I was actually able to go have a look at my car in the shop (after its inspection) to go over everything with the mechanic and physically see what needed to be done. After having a negative experience at the Canadian Tire Auto Centre in North Van on Saturday, the Grandview location has restored my faith in the brand. Stanley was extremely helpful over the phone and I was able to get my car looked at within half an hour of calling. They took my car in right before closing and managed to patch my tire all within about 2 hours of the first phone call (over Easter weekend as well). Any time I have needed work done quickly without breaking the bank, this location has always been wonderful to deal with.

I have used Canadian Tire for tire replacement on numerous vehicles and always felt fairly dealt with and good advice. This time was a major repair on a new to me F350 Truck. The work was done in a timely fashion and was less expensive than the dealership. Then there was a minor problem and here Gary and his team shone—they accepted my word without question and went into action ordering new parts right away in order to redo the job if needed. After that—the communication skills of each of the people I talked to was exceptional and genuine. First impression was good—second impression was superb. Used to come to Canadian tire for a lot of my auto needs over the years but my last two visits have been so poor that I will never use this location again. The parts and customer service representatives have absolutely no knowledge of the vehicles they are working on and clearly need further training even in a simple fix such as headlights. They tried selling my girlfriend $150 headlights and $250 in labour to install. The manufacturer parts ended up costing us $100 total and $56 for install at our local dealer. I highly recommend going to your local dealership first before coming here.

Over priced! Got stuck taking my truck here a couple of times and they charged me way too much for small jobs I couldn't do myself. Person that I spoke to was nice and said they would waive part the diagnostic but when I went to pick it up the clerk there didn't acknowlege it at all. Seems as tho they make alot of money adding an extra hour onto every bill when you drop something off even if you know what is wrong with the vehicle and they don't actually use that time figuring it out.

Went in today to get an oil change and an out of province vehicle inspection. After getting the invoice estimate the staff were very helpful and informative of the different options available. I expressed that I would like to make the repairs as cheap as possible and they accommodated that by switching a few products around to lower quality items which in return saved me around 1/6 the overall bill price. I appreciate that the original estimate is what will be best for your vehicle, but they will give you cheaper options upon request if available.

December 23 - needed a battery replacement, and understandably my regular shop couldn't accommodate that close to Christmas. Canadian Tire told me to come on in - they were hopping busy, but were well staffed to get people through. Got the battery in that morning (sooner than they said it would take) and told me I could pick it up then, or after work if it would be more convenient. Running well now - easy experience, professional, polite - I'd go back.

I store my winter tires with this location, and had the check engine light come on just before I was going to get my tires swapped over for the spring. I decided to get the whole car checked over and oil changed, etc. They provide the work order of everything that needed some work and advised what needed to be done immediately vs what could be put off which I really appreciated. I’ll definitely be going back for more honest work/repairs.

My battery died in the middle of the night. Was able to have car towed to the parking lot and registered for early morning service. Followed this up with timely text communication that morning. My battery was found to be under warranty and my car was back on the road again by early afternoon. I came here a year ago for timing belt replacement on my car with interference engine and transmission service. Was told multiple times they would do the trans fluid properly (acually pump out old fluid and replace) and found out months later that they didn’t even do the service by inspecting clamps, and by the fact my trans fluid was still dirty lol, also found out the expensive lesson that the tensioner wasn’t installed properly and timing belt slipped, destroying the engine. Lol don’t blame the mechanics though seems like they are pumping cars through there so fast they aren’t doing jobs properly which is indicative of pressure from management, won’t blame working men for a shop culture. Work was done on a Saturday and they finished up late so rush rush rush was the order of the day seemingly, they give cheaper labor costs marginally because they don’t do it right AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE you don’t see any other shop with ratings like ct for good reason!

This happened (July 3 @ 12:12pm) and my experience was horrible and beyond shocked how rude, immature and VERY unprofessional the employee I was talking to from this store in the AUTOMOTIVE department. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. This store do not even deserve 1 star after having that conversation with that horrible human being. I am about to purchase over a thousand dollar set of tires online for my vehicle and called the AUTOMOTIVE service and see how much would they charge for tire change. My husband and I came from Salt Spring Island to have provincial and federal inspections done on our car. Our appointment was at 2pm but I called en route that morning to inquire about chips I'd noticed on our windshield and was told that the car might may not pass inspection. Given that information we were very fortunate to get them repaired before our appointment. Our car was taken in promptly at 2pm and the inspections were completed 1 1/2 hours later. Unfortunately our Honda didn't have daytime running lights so it wouldn't have passed inspection but Gary had already given me a heads up about that so I wasn't too shocked. He also knew we'd come from Salt Spring Island and he happened to have a cancellation so we were able to have the running lights issue resolved as well as another minor issue that the inspection uncovered. I dealt with Ryan and Gary and they were both very kind and understanding. Ryan made sure I knew what papers to bring with me when I made the appointment and they went out of their way to make sure I didn't have to make another trip back to have the work done. Thanks to both of them and the mechanic who worked on our car I was able to leave that day with the proper documentation to have our car licensed in BC. Thank you so much!! When I cashed out Gary asked me if I wanted to sign up for the rewards program. When I agreed and he activated my card I was delighted to find out it was a 'bonus day' and I had earned over $56 in rewards money! I have no qualms about recommending this service centre. I had a very good experience and wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

I bought my winter tires here three years ago. Every year I go and they take off the summers and put the winters on. Never had a problem with them. Nigel the manager is the sweetest guy and very helpful. I can't help but wonder at the negative comments on this site are mainly from guys. For instance, you don't realize you don't have your winter tires on your car? You couldn't tell just by looking? As for the rest of them when I wait for my car I see a parade of them come in and they think they know it all and it should be done for free. As I said I have had work done here for over 10 years and never had a problem.

Some people here are very friendly and willing to go above and beyond, however, others...not so much. The time estimates that they give can also be hit or miss, and I have noticed that they tend to underestimate how long it will take to complete the work. On my most recent visit, I was told that a simple replacement would take 10 - 30 minutes, but it ended up taking almost an hour and a half.

Fantastic!! The staff at Cdn Tire Gordon Head are wonderful and they do an excellent job. Friendly and polite front staff who are also very professional and efficient. They are willing and able to go the extra mile for you, getting parts prices and availability while you're right there. And they tell you what you need now or soon and what can wait a while longer. Truly a well-earned 5 stars.

I had a bad experience at this location. I brought in my mini van in order to have it checked out, as my engine light was on. Before dropping it off I used my code reader to find the problem. It showed that one of my ignition coils was faulty and it was causing a misfire. I knew I would need a new coil and I also knew that the particular coil in question was in a hard to reach place and could have some costly labour charges. I received a call a bit later on and was told it would be over 1200 dollars to fix. I was quite surprised to say the least and started asking a few questions. Turns out that I was being quoted for much more work than was actually needed. While I understand that a business will try to upsell, but in this case I believe that they were being a little shady. I spoke with the manager who informed me that the quote was for some “recommended” items as well as what was needed. I feel like if this was the case there would have been two quotes not just the one. Before I left I asked the manager for a printout of the quote, but even after he tried his best to add on other service items he still couldn’t get it as high as 1200 dollars. This tells me there were unnecessary items in the quote. I left very unsatisfied. The whole interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. Oh and they charged me $130 for the ridiculous quote.

Had a wonderful experience with this location! they have amazing customer service and do great work at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. I have had multiple oil changes and recently had winter tires installed as well. Highly recommend to anybody looking for auto service in the Victoria area. Also shoutout to the gentleman who helped me out selecting winter tires, I didn't get his name but I know he's a big Liverpool FC fan!:) Thank you!

This is the most unprofessional service shop I have ever been to. I walked in with a flat tire to leave with them. It was a Wednesday morning and there were around 5 service people in and out of the waiting area. Literally not one person acknowledged me being there for about 20 minutes. Didn't even look at me. I understand that they may have been busy but JEEEEZUS they could see me sitting with a flat tire.... Get my name and number and call me when id's done! I ended up calling another mechanic while I was it he shop and got it looked after.

Had tires replaced. Knowledge on products was great, service went as it should, pricing was excellent. Had a warranty issue several months later and was extremely well looked after. You have to appreciate any manager or owner that takes the time to respond to these postings. He thanks both the good and the not so good but also clearly wants to resolve any issues. For that, I wish I could rate higher to give them an overall rating they deserve!

You lost a loyal customer today. I have been taking my vehicles to this service center for over 6 years now, in general, I have always received consistent service. 2 weeks ago I made an appointment for an oil change for today at 10AM, I showed up on time to drop my vehicle off, the gentleman who checked me in looked a little confused as he looked as his screen, but just took my information, said it would take about an hour and they would call when ready. An hour later, since no one had called, and knowing that it never takes longer than that, I went back to ask, only to be told that the car was not in yet, and in fact was scheduled for 11 and not 10, and, was told to come back in another hour. Now, I know we all make mistakes, and an hour is nothing in the grand scheme of things, but as the saying goes, it is what you do AFTER that counts: there was no admission of fault, no apology, and no attempt to rectify the situation. It sounds silly to write a negative review and/or stop being a customer for a 1-hour delay in an oil appointment, but, that hour, was very important, it was the only time I had today to spend with an elderly relative. If instead, when I checked in, you had acknowledged that you had booked me at the wrong time (or not at all), and offered to have me come back an hour later, I could have perhaps rearranged my day, and would not be writing this review.

I recently bought a second hand Subaru and brought it to Canadian Tire for inspection and service. Whatever it is you need the man to see is Bill Clarke. Bill was professional, efficient and most of all personable when helping me. He took time to explain what service diagnosis was for the car and brought me to the floor to review. Also, he gave, what seemed to me, honest advice about when certain maintenance did / did not need to be done. Bill Clarke is the man, see him for help with auto related items. Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately, the customer service experience could have been much better for both my son and myself. My son took time off from one of his jobs so he could bring in his vehicle on a Tuesday, with an anticipated repair completion of the next day, but possibly not until the Thursday. The maintenance work was not finished until late Friday, just before closing. Once home, we noticed that one of the maintenance items, the emergency brake, could not be operated properly. We then had to schedule another appointment, which was not until the following Wednesday. Because my son already took time off work for the first appointment he was not able to take time off work again for the second appointment; I helped him out by returning the vehicle to the shop for the second appointment. My son worked hard to pay for his car and needs it to travel to his 2 jobs so that he is able to pay his own way for daily expenses and bills, which includes funding his own post-secondary education. The downtime involved with the first vehicle appointment was certainly disappointing but having to return it a second time to resolve an issue caused by the first appointment was unacceptable. No sincere empathy, apology or future credit given to him to show they care about his (and my) service experience and want to retain him as a customer. 2 stars because they eventually got the work done. He deserves better as a customer.

My car wouldn't start one day and the tow truck took me to this Canadian Tire garage. Biggest mistake yet. They charged me over $400 for NOTHING. All that was wrong was some gunk on the spark plug. I talked to the manager, who was very curt and smug. They said that the costs where: $120 just to do a diagnostics to see what was wrong WTF? I told what was wrong. Then labour of $150 to actually wipe off the gunk. Then an oil change which was 3 times more expansive then anywhere else. I will never go to this Canadian Tire garage again. They charged me literally 10 times more than I should have been charged and wouldn't budge on the price.

I bought my winter tires at the Cedar Hill rd store, and was told they would change my tires for free. So, when I came back to the store to change my winters to my summer tires they took my car in the shop, hoisted the car up, I waited about 20 minutes and my car came out. The problem was they didn't change my tires, my winters were still on! Unfortunately I didn’t check, and now I am back in the Cariboo and my summer tires are still in the island. I have used the services at this store 5 times, and each time they screw something up. Incompetent. (This was about 4 months ago.)

Awesome service. I called them on a Saturday morning in regards to an issue with my truck. As is the case with most garages I expected they would ask me to book an appointment for another day but to my very pleasant surprise they asked me to bring the truck in a couple of hours. They were very honest and upfront with the issue that needed to be fixed and had the job done the same day. I would highly recommend them and if I remember it was Matt who I was dealing with.

for 120$ they told me nothing was wrong. As soon as i got in my car i heard the wheel is making a weird sound(driver side-rear) and now does sudden stops. I am not even a mechanic and i can tell it aint right. they didn't even fix my check engine light. literally did NOTHING for 120.00. I have to bring it to a diff shop now.

Initial excellent service in maintenance dept, but then got different info and for some reason automotive woman kept saying "she" couldn't do an oil change if she didn't know the make of the car. But she wasn't the one doing the work!? And the initial woman told me it was fine if didn't know the make of the car (it's my mom's car). However, fellow doing the work did an excellent job.

I brought my car to Canadian tire for alignment after hitting a pothole. Unfortunately, I got unexpected and very unwelcome charges for replacing my tire rods. I was surprised and skeptical at first, but Neil spent extra time walking me through the details behind the repair. He even called back his mechanic and let me look at the damage for myself. They were honest and correct. The need for the repair was real, and they fixed my car by ordering parts overnight. Neil and his team were agreeable and patient with me throughout. Everything I saw showed me Neil runs a great team at the Cedar Hill Canadian Tire. In addition to the competence and good work, everyone seems to go out of their way to be friendly to me. I'm very impressed and would recommend this location and especially Neil to anyone needing repair.
