When it comes to tires, I won't go anywhere but here. After running over a nail, Canadian Tire tried to tell me it was too close to the sidewall and that I'd have to pay $100+ for a new tire. I came here right after and they fixed it in a matter of minutes for $40.

Had a really unbelievable experience at this place yesterday. My tire went flat on the road and I pulled into a gas station in Orillia and filled it with air. I then drove to Barrie where I have bought and sold tires for the past 4-5 years. Cindi the manager took quick care of me and had the guys pull the tire off the car. After finding the hole in the tread the young man said "you drove on something sharp" He proceeded to take the tire off. He discover a couple hand fulls of rubber dust, obviously from me driving to get air. The friction of rubber to rubber inside the tire would easily do this. He then said your going to need a new tire. I said good luck as the tire is an oddball size. He came back and said that they did not have one. I said well just put the old one back on. He said it was destroyed. I inspected it and it was not really that bad. Just surface rubber had been rubbed off. All of the tire cord and polyester layers were intact. Worst case is I needed a tube if it did not hold air. Well the young man decided to raise his voice and argue with me. I told him from a manufacturers perspective the tire was fine. I was a QC inspector for a large tire manufacturer in the 80's, We let tire far worse looking go. I mentioned that to him and he went inside to Cindi, she came out up in arms and said that she would not put the tire on as she was not going to endanger the safety of her guys and was not going to be liable. Well this was the only thing that makes sense, she has that right and I accept this, however the young man that was working on my truck came out and threw my rim and tire into the back of my truck and was mimicking me, repeating all that I said to him in a baby like fashion, and laughing at me. He then went into the garage and slammed the door. I stood there for a minute and pondered my options. My car was on a jack and I was left to my own devices. Then Cindi stuck her head out the door and offered me an option that I accepted. Another young man with a brush cut came out and apologized for the other guys behavior and fixed me up. I handled the situation calmly and quietly left after paying 65.00 for a tire that was worth 30 and the worst service experience of my life. I took a business card of the owner hoping to find a number or fax machine that I could send a message to, but it has the shop number only. So Steve White, expect some mail from me. Hmmm the business cards say there is a difference, lol....right. Authorized cooper tire dealer it says, they may want to rethink this. Ok Im going to clean the rubber dust out of my car now that was tossed in in the little mans fit along with the tire and rim.

I called and told the guy I just bought a single tire to replace the donut on my car and asked how much would he charge to take my donut off and put the new tire on and he said 25. I then get to the shop and he changes my tire and tried to charge me 45$ I confronted him telling him he told me 25$ On the phone clear as day, and he argued and told me he would take the tire off my car and I should leave. Absolute scam The old owner was a good guy but the new guy here is awful and is a liar. You shouldn’t lie to someone on the phone about one price and then expect a different price after the (very simple) job is done. This business is not Better Business Bureau accredited and I can see why. I will still be trying to put in a complaint with BBB to ensure this company never receives accreditation for the way he cussed me off today.

Extremely Impressed with this team! Got a flat while heading to work for a (very) important meeting. CAA was able to replace with a spare but without changing over to new tire it was not safe to make the 1.5hr highway drive into my offices. Immediately, I called Tire Guys to get a used tire and then made my way over to their shop. Was told it would be 2hrs before they could get to my car. I explained that it was very important for me to get to work today not to miss a meeting with a VIP account. Without delay, they got my car in and out within 15min!! My boss & Management team was so thankful to you that I could be at the meeting - I just had to tell you that it meant a lot to me that you understood this was an important day for me and helped me out! Less then one star!! The tire guy's.... absolutely screwed me over. I'm an inexperienced tire purchaser who was looking to buy used tires. So I went to what seemed like a knowledgeable and respectable tire shop. Where I got 4 used tires for my car, trusting that they would give me safe tires. I took the tires home to my mechanic because he had my rim's. I got them to my mechanic and he refused to put them on my car, the tires were worn right down to the "wear bar". I wouldnt even be able to get one summer on them. They charged me $200.00 for litteral garbage and didnt even get my full refund back upon returning the tires. I trusted them and they took adavantage of that. Thank goodness for my honest and loyal mechanic who told it to me straight. If I did put those onto my car it would have been extremely unsafe. Thanks again tire guys, for taking advantage of an unexperianced tire purchaser and robbing me!

Horrible experience with the tire guys. My husband and I bought used winter tires for his car to save some money. It wasn't quite winter yet so the tires seemed fine. After a few weeks when we got snow the tires performed horribly. We had someone look at them and they said it should have been illegal for the tire guys to sell us those tires because of how old they were. Of course when we bought the tires they didn't show them to us. When we called to see if they would refund the $300 we spent they said 'sorry it's past the 10 day warranty.' What a joke! We went to active green and Ross and bought new tires and had to throw out the tires we bought from the tire guys. Thanks for nothing.

We had a tire that had a slow leak for the past year or more so we called The Tire Guys asking for a tire. We needed it that day because the car was being driven out of town. Since we needed it quickly, they didn’t ask us for payment before ordering in the tire. They didn’t have a used one because it’s an uncommon size but ordered in a new one. When we arrived, the tire was ready but the tech asked if it had been checked to see if it was repairable. It hadn’t, so I asked the manager or owner who had been helping us if we could see if it was repairable. He said they could but might need to charge a restocking fee to send the tire back. They were indeed able to repair it and in 10 mins we were out of there. They did not charge us a restocking fee. Easy and money-saving experience!

I went here for many years and had great experiences. I even recommended them to friends, family, and coworkers. After my last experience though, I will never be going there again. I've always understood that they work on a first-come, first-served basis, and allow for up to several hours to sit there and wait. The last time I went there though (to have my off-rim winter tires put on), for some reason I kept getting bumped. Every time a new customer came in, I got pushed further down the line. I ended up waiting three and a half hours to have my tires swapped, and was their last customer of the day. I paid and went out to my car, to discover that my car had been parked out in the rain with all of the windows left open. When I got inside I discovered why: someone had been smoking in my year-and-a-half year old non-smoking car!! Disgusted, I started to drive away...and then all four of my tire pressure sensors started to sound the alarm. When they didn't reset, I drove to the closest gas station and checked all four tires at the compressor...all of them were grossly under inflated. I topped them back up and drove away, and three out of four of the sensors reset. I went back for my retorque the next morning, voiced my concerns, and informed them that my one tire pressure sensor wasn't working properly. I was simply told to take it to my dealership because they likely had to reset it (even though that had never been a problem with this car before). Just great. I later discovered several items missing from my car, and while I can't conclusively say the Tire Guys staff took them, I know the items were in there when I went, and the items were gone when I went looking for them the next afternoon. And outside of that one appointment, I had been the only one with access to my car (and no, my car was not broken into and is always locked). When I went to another tire shop in the spring to have my tires swapped again (like hell I was going back to The Tire Guys after that experience), I found out that my tire pressure sensor wasn't broken, it was gone! It had never been swapped into the new tires along with the other three. I've since had to pay to replace my lost items, pay to replace a missing tire pressure sensor...needless to say, I will never go back there, nor will I send anyone else there. Terrible experience.

Reduced my rating. I've had tires repaired here and that was fine, but the inexpensive offbrand tires that we bought here have been terrible. Noisy and deadly in the least bit of snow (like those scatterings you get in Oct and Nov.). You get what you pay for in tires, it seems, and these guys are willing to sell what you should definitely not buy.

We got a flat tire on our weekend trip to Tiny ON and since it was our first time we had no idea how to go about it. We rented from Enterprise and after chatting with them multiple times had gotten nowhere since all their locations close early on Saturday and are entirely closed on Sunday. We would have been stranded up until Monday (when we had to return the car and get back to work). THANKFULLY, the amazing crew at The Tire Guys were open till 5 on Saturday and replaced our tire with a new one for $75! Took only an hour, plus they couldn’t have been nicer. They really do live up to their name.

I have been going to The Tire guys for years and have sent family and friends to them but after today I will never go back. I would first like to say that the guys in the back are friendly nice guys and do a decent job but the red haired older woman that works the counter has no people skills and is rude and insulting. I had mentioned that I own a hot sauce business and did a couple events in Ottawa they were ok and she said "people in Barrie do not waste money on things like that implying that my products were a that I spend working 7 days a week at are a waste of money. She then said to me who eat's hot sauce in which I replied many people. and then she proceeded to ask everyone in the tire shop if they ate hot sauce and was incredibly rude. I told her I would not be back after paying the $130 to have my winter tires put on and her reply was oh well plenty of other tire shops out there. I am livid that they would employ someone that is this insulting to customers.

Second time here. First time had a bulge in the passenger rear tire wall. Needed a quick replacement. Used tire popped on steels, 30 mins out the door. This time slightly bent steel due to pot hole. $30 and 20 mins in and out. Great place for a quick fix.

If you need tires, but can't afford new, lightly used tires are your best option. Have used tires you don't need anymore, if they still have good tread, these guys will buy them off you. Even if they are no good for use, these guys will take them off your hands.

I'd give 10 stars if I could. The tires were over torqued and another shop damaged two bolts and couldn't remove the tires. The Barrie Tire Guys changed my tires and replaced the bolts the other shopped destroyed and told me to replace myself. All this....for free because they had switched them to summers. Stand by their work, solid guys great fast service and honest as the day is long. Would recommend them any day. They stand by their work and their word. They work hard for the customer and I will never go anywhere else again. So hard to find honest guys who do such good work. Drive the extra mile if you have to and go to this shop. Support Local!!

Went in to get two tires replaced as they were very dry and tread was beginning to separate. Replacement tires showed cracks and separation signs within two weeks. Called in but they said the warranty is for one week only. Asked what other tires they had in that size response was that they had one pair, same exact brand and model as what I had replaced. This business rips people off and I don’t understand how they can justify selling used tires they know to be unsafe.

I always deal with the tire guys. They have good service and they try to get you in and out as quickly as they can. They can usually get you tires in a couple of hours. Good work fellas.

I do not believe half these comments are legit. This place is BS. My gf who knows nothing about tires went to this place without me and purchased winter tires for her car and the guy said they are approximately 90-95% tread left. Went to 2 different places to get her car fixed and both places said her tires are good for just this season and then they are garbage. Went to this guy with my mechanic and made a scene and found out they are 69% tread left. Theguy said best he can do is swap them with brand new tires and we pay the difference of $225. That's bs but he said since he said "approximately" its our fault for not knowing. Will never go back. Plus the manager is rude AF and yelling at us back in front of customers. Petty. Don't know how nick is still behind that chair

Editing my rating after last experience .. called ahead to see about used tires...decided to go ahead with it and told the owner ( or he claimed to be) that we would be there in a hour. We got there and the owner took us to see tires but dissapeared somehow...and we ended up with a worker who had no idea what had been said or what was going on.. only to be told they were out of stock of that tire... when we had just called ????? No new tires my size either.... No apology just told us to come back the following week... this turned out to be to my advantage because I got new bridgestone tires from Kal tires for about 80$ more - new not used.. for only a little bit more. Dont waste your time and money for poor management and poor pricing. Go somewhere else ... you will be able to get a better deal elsewhere

Ridiculously disorganized. The tiny parking lot and nearby highway repairs (likely finished by now) also makes arriving and leaving a nightmare. By the way, dudes! There's a reason most garages do not ask their customers to sign a disclaimer that they legally acknowledge they must bring their vehicles back the next day to re-torque their tires. It's because most garages, and most mechanics, torque them correctly the FIRST TIME.

One of the tires I changed over there was told as missing and asked me to wait for their call untill they find it. Waited for few days and when I went there for the third time the guy at the reception told me he cant suddenly make a tire appear. Workers know their job, they r good. But better to kick off the people who don't know how to treat a customer. Still waiting for the missing tire. Make sure u don't get fooled.

You guys are just the best! I went into the tire guys maybe 2 weeks ago. They helped me get the cheapest way to take tires off and on to new steel wheels then on to my car. Told me over the phone it would be around $120. Since being so close to Christmas i really didn't have a lot of money to spend. They messed up and forgot to mention a few other fees which would of costed over $200.. when I went in to get my car, he told me about the mix up of price and he just waved the rest of the price for me ! So kind hearted of him, I had to leave before I started crying. You guys are awesome. Thank you so much for everything!

Have never had an issue with these guys but just recently too an Atv rim there to get a new tube and tire and they said it would be in and done within 1-3 business days , it took them 1 full week and then I finally get it home and the tire is not set on the rim properly and the will not hold air - not the place to bring to get Atv tires

By far the worst customer service I have ever received. I traded in a set of tires and purchased a used set that apparently had over 90% tread left on them. It was Nov 2015 and I was 7 months pregnant so happy to save some money and knowing they would be driven lightly that winter as I would not be working I was happy for a deal. I also decided to purchase new rims that needed a few days to come in. . I took my receipt for my tires and a written quote for the rims. A few days pass and I got the call my rims were in. I verified my quote and was told yes that was the cost. When I returned to have my new tires installed I witnessed the woman at the front desk be so aggressive and rude to others I was shocked. When it came my turn to pay, it was my turn to be screamed at. She attempted to charge my $60 extra per rim, told me she didn’t care what my quote said that was what the price. I came to find out that it was in fact the owner who gave me my quote and ordered the rims and she informed me she didn’t care he was wrong. I pointed out that was there problem I was not paying a cent more than I was told and confirmed (by this woman now screaming at me). She stormed away to talk to someone in the shop and finally came in and cashed me out at my quote. Others in the waiting area told me they couldn’t believe her behaviour and we all agreed we would never go back. One man actually decided to leave and take his business elsewhere based on the screaming he witnessed directed towards me. I was highly recommmeded here by a friends dad who owns an auto body shop in Barrie as he was unable to help me with my trade in. After reading other reviews I see that this is not an uncommon occurrence. Also, there is no way the tires were 90% tread as I attempted to trade them in elsewhere the next year when we upgraded to a van and was told we were completely ripped off. I feel they took advantage of a young woman at the trade in and then tried to bully me into paying even more. When I went back for my retorque the same woman was rude and ignored me. Eventually someone else served me and sent my keys out. Very quickly after they were done and returned my keys to the front desk she threw them down at the counter.

If there was a minus 5... My husband, a senior was there at 6:30 to get snows and trims, he was so cold he returned to the car. At 8 when they opened he had lost his place e in line and they refused to take him in 2nd while all the rest went ahead. bought 2 tires for my trailer, both leaked at valve stem, they fixed the valve stem leak, but then the bead leaked. They told me it was my problem now. Brutal woman behind the counter. Had to take somewhere else to fix, and had to make a bunch of trips. as a result, I won't be going back.

New to you tire, recommended The tire guys to me for single tires. I will never recommend either place to a customer again. I was billed 60 bucks for a tire, that was on the wear bars. I was trying to match tread depth for a customer. I told them my tread depth, it was on a note with my wife (who was picking the tire up for me). 5.50mm, is much different than 3mm. (Millimeters of tread depth) I can't charge my customer for this tire with a straight face. So I didn't, I gave it away. Now, at the end of day. I'm out money. Thanks!
