Took vehicle in for a Safety Inspection. They told me that it needed $3600 in repairs. Told me approx $120 to replace a sticky rear window wiper that only needed a couple of drops of oil to free the hinge. I suspected that seveal other items were cited that I had checked previously and were in good working condition . Found another inspection site and they charged me $40 less

Been my go-to for about 4 years for smaller work I just can't do at home. I can't say anything about their work on bigger jobs but for smaller odds and ends like brakes, pumps, starters etc. they've been great for me.

I made an appointment to have my winter tires put on and two days before I went my muffler started to give me trouble. I called the morning off and even though they were busy they still took a look at it. I wasn't even expecting to have the muffler fixed that day but was impressed how quickly they put new clamps on for me. I liked how the mechanic took the time to explain what the problem was.

Took 2 hours to do a mount and balance tires with an appointment. Than charges me shop rate. Was more expensive than the dealership and didn't appreciate the attitude when asking about price. No sorry it took so long nothing. I will never go there again and will advise others not to either. Awful experience!!!!!!

Absolutely fantastic service. My wife and I have been bringing our vehicles to this shop for a few years now, and we’re very happy with the service we’ve received from Pro Tech staff and technicians. I’ve received noting but excellent customer service, fair/acceptable costs, and timely repairs in my several visits to this location. I especially appreciate the communication we receive before and after a repair: clear, concise, and most importantly, comprehensible explanations of what was done to repair my car. Vehicle repair is never enjoyable, but at least I have the friendly staff at Pro Tech to make the process as painless as possible.

There alignment only covers toe adjustment. Not caster not camber. They will charge you extra to do a proper alignment. There are other garages that will do a proper alignment for far less money.

I have two older Toyota vehicles so I have a couple issues come up each year. When I know something is wrong, I take them to Protech. Staff is nice and always takes time to describe work that is needed. Their prices are reasonable, as I have compared on multiple occasions. They always identify and solve the issue. They do good work, as I've never had any recurring issues afterward. Highly recommend.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE REVIEW FOR PRO-TECH AT 570 YONGE STREET Today after purchasing a headlight and brake switch that needed to be fixed in my car I took my parts to pro tech and asked them how much it would cost to install both. The gentleman informed me that he didn't have time to do the brake switch but would install the headlight for $20. I said no problem. As I was waiting (about 20 mins) I realized I forgot my smokes in my car so I went to the back and low and behold...no one was working on my car it was just sitting there. I didn't say anything, just grabbed my smokes out of the car and sat back and waited. About 10 min later the mechanic comes our and tells me that his other appt isn't here so he has time to put the switch in. I said ok. Waited about 20 mins and came out and then he said there is also another light that's our should he fix it. I asked how much it was going to cost and he said installed and part would be $15. I said ok. When he was done I came in and that's when I was "informed" that there was a small problem. Apparently the part that holds the break plug switch had a small round plastic piece that was missing so they had to "Mickey mouse fix it" which took some time. I asked to see the part and he informed me that he didn't have it anymore. I then get handed a bill for $140!! I said it was outrageous considering I provided the parts and was told 20 to install the headlight and 15 for the other part. Where does the other 110 come into it? He then goes well labour is 110 an hour. I'm sorry but when someone asks how much h and you say 20 installed I believe that labour is included in that. And if I'm getting charged an hour for work then why was no one working on my car when I went to get my smokes? Or why didn't he tell me about "the little problem" before he magically found another light that had to be fixed? Why tell me after and after you've already taken it out and have no proof to show me anything was wrong? I don't mind paying someone for a job but how does it go from one extreme to the other with no proof? Just thought I was not treated with any amount of respect and he was basically charging me for his other clients time because he didn't show up.

This shop has now attempted to scam both my brother and I. Went In during November of last year to have my clutch hydraulic system flushed and walked out with an estimate of approx. $1700 claiming my entire clutch assembly was broken and the car would last a week at most. Drove it for another 6 months before selling in perfectly drivable condition. My brother went in this week for a safety Inspection where he was quoted $2000 in repairs to pass safety. While In the shop for the day a brake line mysteriously punctured as well so we had to get his car towed to another shop where he was quoted less than $1000 in repairs safety included. Do not go to these guys unless you enjoy being lied to. NOTE: the owners response is laughable as I did not say in my review I “referred” or “sent” my brother there. He went while I was out of town. I can assure the folks at pro tech their shop is the last I’d recommend. 2002 civic ex is the one you tried to scam for the safety & my 2007 civic ex was brought in under my fathers name, Andrew.
