Thank you for your services. I was in to swap my winter tires for the summer ones. In at 8am and out 45 minutes later. My winter tires was checked and placed in individual plastic bags and neatly placed in my car trunk. The staff was courteous , friendly, even through the difficult times of COVID19. I have used Active Green and Ross #777 in Burlington for many years for all my tire needs. Most recently they repaired a tire that had a nail in it. The work was done quickly, and their staff are always very professional. When buying tires, I have found their prices to be comparable or better than others. When you buy tire there, they do a free rotation every six months which is perfect for changing to my winter tires and back. I give them full marks.

Due to road construction, a bolt found it's way onto the road and I ran over it. It was NOT a slow leak! I needed it fixed right away. My friend told me to go to Active Green and Ross. They were jam packed with appointments, understandably since it is winter tire season. They committed that they could do it but understandably could not give a time. I was grateful they took me at all it was so busy. While they had the tire off they notice of a lot of play in the wheel. After a good look they realized it was a loose nut and missing cotterpin. They let me know what had happened and they just fixed it for me. They Didn't try to take advantage of the situation. They were professional and took care of me. So amazing to actually have honest auto mechanics! Very happy with everyone at this location. I FINALLY found my goto mechanics in Burlington. Thank you very much to the staff and crew at this location.

Over the weekend my truck was fully serviced, lube and oil change and a standard maintenance check (tires, battery, tire rotation) Once this service was completed, I've noticed the passenger side headlight was out?! Addressed this fact with Ross, who's promptly rescheduled me for a complete bulb replacement at my out of pocket expense (rightly so). However Ross had waived the cost of the installation!! ???????? I brought it in to see if they could repair it and when they couldn't, they provided me with alternative recommendations to help solve the problem. Been having trouble with the brakes on my Kia Rondo. I went there at closing hours and they did a quick diagnostics (no charge), told me I had to change a brake switch behind the brake pedal, and they ordered it for next day! Next day I was there for one hour in the morning and all was done! They also have wifi in the office so you can work while you wait.

Since the owner left a comment saying he has ZERO history with me. I might as well explain the fact that trying to get a simple brake job booked resulted in the staff telling me since I have my own parts, if I feel vibrations that it’s not on them. FACTORY OEM PARTS. He reassured me I was going to feel something in the car, and it sounded as if I was being threatened. As if spending money on labor isn’t enough for you, I NEED to spend money on your parts or I’m not going have a proper functioning car? This was the only place I called that responded so negatively for me saying I just needed a pad job. This was the THIRD time I’ve called them. Every single time I was met with arrogance over the phone. Your good reputation is as good as the reviews people leave and as important as each and every customer.

2 tires on a honda civic installed with taxes in= $340. Overpriced, so I decided to go with 1, guy up at the front told me it would be half of the price and rolled his eyes. Half of $340 is $170 simple math. He tried to charge me $175 for 1 tire, which isn't half of $340. He tried to argue with me and say it was something with the system fiddled with it and the price came down to $172. Refused to bring it down to $170 after that's what HE said! It's really not the extra $2 that gets me but the fact that he had attitude as if I did something wrong for following up with the price. Hope the extra $2 brings happiness because I'm not going back:)

I have been a regular customer here over the years with two different vehicles but, in the future, I will go elsewhere. I bought a set of 4 Michelin Harmony tires 3 years ago. In the past they always gave me one free switch-over per year. I had to pay once a year because I hadn't bought my winter tires there. Today the owner told me I have to pay $49.95 + HST for a switch-over because I only bought tires there - not a tire/rim package. Why would I buy new rims? The car came with tires and rims when I bought it new.

I just purchased new tires for my 2009 Toyota Rav4. Having no past experience purchasing new tires I did some research and called around for quotes. I asked questions at all places to verify what was to be done and what was the walk out the door final price. Most places were very vague and the prices seemed to change with every question. When I contacted Active Green and Ross I spoke directly with the owner Ross. His customer service skills were second to none. He took the time to answered all my questions and gave a final walk out the door price as well he printed off a quote with my name on it so I was guaranteed the price. Their price was a by far the best by at least $50 - $175. The excellent customer service I experienced through the owner is the same that I received through their staff. I highly recommend Active Green and Ross in Oshawa. I will forever pass on the great customer service experience I received to everyone who mentions a tire from this day forward. Thank You Brian V

Went to Active Green and Ross for a second opinion what's the problem with brakes. Turned out they were significantly less expensive. It turned out that the first garage had included doing unnecessary work on the front brakes when all that was required was some maintenance. We'll be using them again. This is a great multi purpose shop. They installed a leveling kit in my truck, and full inspection determined a couple small issues. Did a full alignment, balanced and mounted a set of tires. Will continue to use the shop for regular maintence now.

I would not recommend giving this shop your business, in my experiences they have been dishonest and charged the maximum prices they could get away with. I had taken my car in to them and was told I needed a new oxygen sensor ($400 for the part) as well as a new motor mount because according to them my motor was rocking around, this was quoted at $560 before tax. I then took the car to another mechanic in Barrie for a second opinion (I told them about the issues Green and Ross had found, but not the prices they had quoted). After his inspection, the second mechanic confirmed that the oxygen sensor needed replacing, however, he only charged me $280 for the same part Green and Ross quoted at $400. As for the motor mount, he said he could find no abnormal movement with the motor or any issues with the mount. I was quite relieved but also incensed that Green and Ross was prepared to charge me $560 for a non-existent issue. The second mechanic also found a leak in my exhaust pipe which was causing the car to make an abnormal sound while running, Green and Ross did not find this in their diagnostic. I only gave them 2 stars because their shuttle service is a nice gesture, however I will not be returning.

Have had great service there until today. Had an appointment for 10:30 am. Got there before 10:30. My car sat in the parking lot for almost an hour and no-one looked at it. Until I spoke up. This place and the staff are amazing. I took my car in because the front driver's side was making a terrible metal-on-metal noise. They kept it overnight and even warned me about it possibly being the brakes and costing a few hundred bucks. When I talked to them the next day they said that it was actually a minor issue, they fixed it, and weren't even going to charge me. As someone who knows absolutely nothing about cars, they could have fixed it, and done nothing else, yet charged me whatever they wanted! They are honest, friendly, and I love knowing I have a go-to garage close to home! Highly recommend.

This was my first experience with Active Green and Ross, and I must say this is one classy operation. I came to them to get new steel rims and winter tires, and I needed them in a hurry. I had tried a couple other places, but they were unable to accommodate my timeframe. Initially I was told that they could do the installation for me in about 2 and a half hours, but to my surprise I received a text just over an hour later stating that my car was ready. They were professional, knowledgeable, and fast and the prices were great on Goodyear tires which are very good quality. When my clutch went on the way to work I felt really stuck. I knew I needed someone I could trust to get the work done and get me back on the road asap. I was a little nervous when I had my car towed to Green & Ross. I needn't have worried. The work took longer than we anticipated, through no fault of theirs, but they were always honest with me and worked hard to do what was best for me. Even when warranties for previous work became involves they stayed focussed on doing what was best for me and what I wanted. I hope I don't have another car problem for a long time, but if I do I'm glad to know that I can go back to G&R and they will be honest with me, tell me what the problem is and do whatever they can to get me back and on the road quickly. What else could you expect from an automotive centre.

Edit based on recent experience. We are repeat customers for 6 years now. 2-3 times a year. Today we got an oil and tire change. Went to pick up the car because I have to go to work. There was a power outage and they refused to let my wife take the car home because they couldn't take payment. I repeat, we are(were) repeat customers. Even offered to leave our credit card info until the power came back and I returned from work. Had to give my shift to someone else(lost hours and pay) because I couldn't guarantee power would be back(ie i could get my car) before I had to leave for work. Lost a loyal customer guys. Awesome! Aligned my low "car" no issues at all, guy that did it was very respectful and didn't joy ride it like I'm sure all car enthusiasts worry about.. Thanks!! Edit: they didn't do a front end inspection when my car had bad ball joints and the whole wheel moved. They did give me another alignment after I replaced all the parts that needed to be replaced but if it was done right the first time I wouldn't of had to come back 3 times. Other than that it was good, other than not doing an inspection especially when giving an alignment, because you're basically aligning nothing.

I called the centre yesterday to make an appointment for an oil change for Today. Told them I would drop my car off at 9am and pick it up at 5pm. Was told, not a problem. Dropped my car off at 9am this morning, said I would be back at 5pm and ensured that they had the proper phone number on file. I arrived at 5:05pm and stood at the counter for more than 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge me or even the lady standing in front of me. Was told that they had just brought my car in. 1) went in for alignment, took over 2 hours and once it was done i noticed it still wasn't up to spec. I only found out AFTER before i left to view the spec sheet. Tech said its cause of my tie rod but then refused to show me if it was worn or seized. he just said i needed a new one (didnt do). Noticed 2 scratches on my driver rear side after the work was done. Tech blamed it on the 'new kid' when putting the vehicle on the alignment rack. Although i feel it was scratched when he was pulling out. When asked to see the camera footage the guy at the front said 'Ehh... our cameras arent that good' 2) After the alignment was done i got 3 warning lights on my dash the day of. I went in the day after and did a test drive to show them. The tech was super confident it was my wheel bearing and the sensor on the FRONT RIGHT. And were asking $1100 plus tax. 3) Went to another indy, he told me it was just the FRONT LEFT sensor, nothing else. he was no idea why they would tell me it would be front right. Went to a bmw specialist who told me the same thing, got it fixed for under $300. Now, although there was a major miscommunication, their customer service is top notch. After having these troubles the manager contacted me and offered me a full re-do for the trouble. My advice is make sure you know what you want before heading into the shop.

The service was top notch from my initial call to rolling off the lot with my new tires. I called on the Thursday and they had my tires on and complete before 1pm on the Friday even though they needed to order the tires in. I dealt with a gentleman by the name of Kyle who was extremely helpful. Highly recommend both Active Green and Ross facilities in Burlington (Guelph line and Fairview) as I have dealt with both shops in the past. They even price match which is always an added bonus.

I ordered my winter tires on their website because they were the only shop in town that showed they were available. I paid a $100 deposit to secure the tires. I received a call the next morning and was told the website was wrong and I would have to purchase different, more expensive tires that were out of stock and had to be ordered in. The deposit is nonrefundable. The appointment was booked for 10am but it is not while-you-wait service, it is drop off and return. I'm not sure what the point of scheduling a specific time is if it is drop off/return. It was about 4 hours for them to do the tire changeover... all in all, it was not convenient and I was disappointed in the service I received.

I recently purchased 4 brand new tires from Active Green+Ross, the Barrie location. While service seemed pleasant at first, I found myself needing a tow the following morning (which I had to pay for). One of these brand new tires was completely flat. Upon calling to inquire about my options, I was told that it was more than likely MY fault. I had my vehicle towed back to Active Green+Ross, wherein they said they would diagnose the issue (again which was likely my fault), and call me regarding what they can do (implying that I may have to pay for it). Upon realizing that it was their fault, that my new tire had a leaking valve, they failed to call me back providing any information, and instead only called me to pick up the vehicle hours later. I find it funny that, an employee at this location mentioned to me that other customers, who had purchased new tires here, have experienced similar problems. If I had any idea that there would be complications to this degree of which not only inconvenienced me (and cost me more money!), left me stranded on the side of the road without a functioning vehicle, and also insulted my integrity, I would have gone next door to any of the other wide selection of tire retailers on Anne street, let alone the rest of Barrie.

I did an online submission for a quote and did not get an email with a quote, so I called after an hour and a half because I realize they would be busy. The person I spoke to said he would call me back in a little bit to let me know if the tires and wheels I required are there. I did not get a call so went to the location after 4 hours and was given a quote. When I asked if I could book my car in the next day, I was told they did not have the tires or wheels in stock and they would have to order them in. Fine I figured it would be a couple of days. Then I was told that I would not be able to get it done until 3 weeks later. The person at the counter should have said right off the bat that the tires and wheels had to be ordered and could not get me in for 3 weeks instead of giving me the quote first. Very poor customer service. I will never go back and will let my friends and coworkers to not go to at least this location. ****EDIT**** Within 2 hours of posting the original review I got a phone call from Lance at this location looking to make things right. Lance advised that there were tires in stock (just not the ones I originally put on the quote request) however, there was only 1 wheel (rim). Lance asked me if he could get the wheels in for Monday (3 days later) would I be willing to use this location. I said yes if he could get them in. Lance called back within 20 minutes and said he could get them in and I could get the work done on the Monday. As far as I am concerned that is good business and because of this I will have no problem recommending this location to anyone. Lance also apologized for my experience earlier in the day.

Took my vehicle here to get a safety certification. Was first told the mechanic would safety it, 5 minutes later told oh no he changed his mind. When the heat is on full there is a noise, I did ask why this would cause the car to fail. Was told even though the heat and defost works because there was a noise, the mechanic said he would not sign off on it. I asked how much to fix the problem, was put on hold for 10 minutes, to then be told that at a minimum it would be 6 hours of labour to "try" and find out what might be causing the noise. I told Active Green and Ross not to touch my car anymore. Took the car somewhere else, was informed about the noise, however also told it would not cause the car to fail the safety. Was also informed what the problem was and that it will cost $150 to fix it. In my opinion Active Green and Ross are scam artists when it comes to fixing vehicles. Take your car somewhere else.

The staff is friendly and was willing to help at an emergency issue. They explained everything to me and provided detailed receipt with all work details. Even though they had other cars, they agreed to order part and replace it, when they had a garage full of other cars waiting for the repairs. The rate was slightly higher but it’s because of a rush. The waiting area is clean and sofa is extraordinarily comfortable, I wanted to stay longer, chilling on it ???? Definitely recommend!

In the last year I have noticed a significant improvement in their customer service. It's so much better! I have been made to feel welcome, and it's a much more positive experience. I'm a long time customer, (Three sets of tires). I have a slow leak in one tire. When I went and asked for assistance, I was told "We're booking for December (three weeks later). If I chip a tooth and go to my Dentist and they tell me to come back in three weeks. I'm finding a new Dentist. When the routine matters come up which Dentist do you suppose I'm going to visit. Oh well, I'm off to find a tire place that wants my business. UPDATE Found another tire dealer, I told him I was willing to leave my car with him all day. He said, no problem. It is hard and expensive to get new customers to come in. It is cheaper to go a little bit out of your way to keep the happy customer. I want a tire dealer who can look after a loyal customer twelve months of the year.

I went to get my tire repaired from a flat. G&R said I needed a new tire and they put it on order. Price included installation. When I went to pick up the tire and have it installed, they said they had no appointments for 2 weeks. I was riding on my spare tire and couldn't go on the highway with the vehicle. I asked them why they didn't tell me that when I went in to get the tire repaired. They eventually said they would fit me in if I waited in the store for 2 hours. It's COVID, I'm a senior, and I wasn't comfortable with that. I asked if I could bring my vehicle back 1/2 hr. before closing if they could fit me in. Answer no, wait two hours or that's it. I took the tire home and called roadside assistance. When they came, technically changing the tire isn't in their scope as they weren't changing a flat, but when they heard my story they took care of it. They also said they had received complaints about that location of G&R. So if you are a senior, do not use this company unless you want to wait 2 weeks to get your tire installed.

The Active Green+Ross service representatives (Burlington, Ontario, 777 Guelph Line) consistently appear ready to listen, understand and assist in your service needs. They seem to get it right each time. They are proactive in the sense that they are sharing things that might be applicable to your vehicle found during their inspection. Prices or price estimations range from fair to market. They are a good alternative to other garages.

This is one of the few shops I trust to bring my vehicle in for service. The staff are knowledge and professional. They may sell some services; however, it's never pressured. Results from each service is thoroughly explained (if applicable). The service rates are exceptional; the lowest in town as far as I know. Despite the low service rates, the level of care by the technicians is unrivaled. As a clean freak, I appreciate it when the technicians do their best to migrate and clean after the service is done. Leaving a disposable sheet floor mat was a nice touch to prevent any dirt and dust being left behind in my car. I suggest implementing a appointment reminder system via email or text. It's recommended to schedule your appointments as this location is very busy, especially around the time for winter tire swaps.

We received excellent customer service from Brian. It was our first time here after a friend recommended this company. Brian offered us various options as we were purchasing new wheels. He explained each offer in depth and allowed us to make an informed decision. We picked what was best for us and they were installed in a timely manner. There were other jobs before us but we were out of there at 2 after having arrived around 11:45-12. There’s a burlington mall centre within walking distance that offers shopping and a food court, so we had somewhere to go while we waited for our car. They also called us to inform us of something that was off with our alignment and offered us the option to leave it or get it done. Overall very satisfied with the service and highly recommend.

Took loose tire there to be fixed, took a day for them to look at it and only got back to me after I called the next morning. Told me they looked at it and didn't see anything obvious and would have to reseal it, but couldn't because their machine broke. Lost my valve stem fill cap and didn't say anything. Took it back a week later (now on the vehicle) and decided to wait for them to fix it. 25 minutes later they told me they couldn't do anything because its an obvious patch, only option is 2 new tires at $290+tax. I said no, guy seemed irritated and charged me $30 for literally nothing, something he told me a week before could be fixed. Ross (the owner) is a nice guy but everyone else is very frustrating to deal with. I understand that some things can't be fixed, but having to visit them 3 times and being charged $30 for nothing is excessive.

I recently brought my vehicle to your store with a bad vibration while driving on the highway, I was informed that it could be the brakes and tires I brought it in asking for you guys to replace all the brakes and look at the tires I was very surprise by the honesty when Carrie and John at the front counter told me that the brakes were still very much in good condition and the mechanic Matt only recommends balancing the tires at this time, I was in and out within an hour and no more shake on the highway!. What I thought was going to be an expensive trip to the shop ending up only costing me 70$ thank you active green and ross see you guys for my next service.

Terrible customer experience with Randy. He did not ask all or the questions required wile filling out the work order. I had a scheduled appointment to get my tires switched over today, but was able to get in early and have my vehicle looked after right away. This job I was told should not take more than an hour. Me and my girlfriend decide to take the shuttle in which they offer to go "kill some time" in which we spent an hour out before deciding to return back. I had received a phone call about twenty minutes prior to when the vehicle was to be completed to get asked a question that should have been asked at the beginning which means that a further hour was to be waited for my vehicle to be finished. So I arrived early to the appointment and with everything said and done it should have been completed no later than 11:30, yet it took more than fourty-five minutes longer to complete. Randy didn't have any customer experience which was super frustrating. He never checked to see if I was looked after and after I had asked a question he left, chit-chatted with other employees, came back and still didn't know the answer. I feel as though all of the staff should be trained equally if they're going to work there. Corey was an excellent shuttle driver who offered a delightful experience.

Remember taking my truck here about two years ago to get the front brakes replaced. Ended up going to another shop because they gave me a better deal. Called active green to cancel and I remember the service rep made me feel extremely guilty to the point where I apologized which to this day I regret. I had the courtesy to call back and they felt the need to explain they're displeasure to me, so now I feel the need to explain mine. Customer service goes a long way.

I have always been skeptical of taking my car into a shops that are franchised owned because they are usually known to price gauge, also as a female I have a hard time trusting the price and what they are telling me. HOWEVER, this place has definitely proved me wrong. I have taken my car in for several repairs it has needed and every time Vince (one of the mechanics at this location) has been beyond helpful! Each time I have needed to get work done, Vince let me know of what my options are and has ALWAYS asked what budget I'm working with. Overall, service has been beyond exceptional and I will definitely be taking my car back!

I recently purchased a Subaru Outback and brought it in to #777 Active Green+Ross to have a set of winter tires that were already on rims installed. However, the Subaru wheel design requires specific rims / tires so my existing set would not work. The Service Advisor (Joel) was very patient and professional and worked through the alternatives with me to to support me in deciding on the most cost effective solution. The entire experience exceeded my expectations and the quality of the work was excellent! This was my first visit but I definitely plan to return for my future automotive service needs.

A year ago I was refered to Active Green and Ross. I purchased new tires and rims for my wifes SUV and tired for my SUV. I spent over $2,700.00 and recently priced out another set of tires for the summer. One of the reasons I purchased the tires is because I was offered free tire change overs for the life of the tires with the purchase or rims and tires for my wife's car. Even though I had only only purchased tires for my car, I was offered free tire change overs as a convenience and to show appreciation for my business. I never had a problem changing my tires and rims over in the past with the previous. I heard that a few months ago the shop was under new ownership. I was told they began charging return customers for tire change overs, but I didn't believe a business would be that desperate for a few dollars. I booked my annual change over for my winter tires and over the phone asked if there was any charge based on what I heard. I was assured there would not be. My wife's tires were changed over for free, but when I brought my car in, they told me there was a charge to change my wheels over. I explained that there has never been a charge in the past, and I was told pver the phone there would be no charge. I was then told that things were not done properly under the old ownership and they were trying to fix it. I was also told there are no longer free tire change overs for the life of the tire, and it expired after 3 years. I told them that's unprofessional and an exception should be made for customers previous to the new ownership. It's hard enough trying to find a mechanic that doesn't nickle and dime customers, now I have to worry about it at tire shops. I no longer trust my vehicle in the hands of a shop that prioritizes a few dollars over proper customer service. It's a shame the ownership has changed. $39.99 has just cost them $1,200.00 for new tires that I'll be buying elsewhere.

Worst place I have ever been to - after 120 days my brand new front summer tires that were installed on a Saturday then the alignment (done by Green and Ross) four days later, the tires were chewed so bad that I had to throw them out, and was a danger to me as they could have blown at any time. I am out at least $400.00 - Their alignment technicians are incompetent, and do not know what they are doing. Thank you very much!!!!!!!! Warning to all - Do not ever bring your car there!

I called back the following day after not hearing from them and he said he would work on it right away and call me back. Again no call back. Given the fact that prices are readily available, I find this pretty absurd. Would have given them zero stars if I could.

On Saturday February 24/18 took my wife's car in for an oil change. The car would not start after it was serviced. It was determined that the starter was dead. no better situation to have your car not start at the mechanics. almost like having a heart attack at the Drs office.
