Prices are okay but have gone up since their new location. Customer service is rushed even when there is no lineup. If you are someone who knows exactly what they need and have your tire #'s ready, then you might like this place. If you're the old fashioned, slow business type then you might be put off.

UNMASKED STAFF Hard to score a local company that I've had generally positive experiences with in the past, and who provided good service today for replacement of a full set of tires. Unfortunately the experience today was marred by the complete absence of masks on any employee, including those working inside the customer service area. At this point in the pandemic it's hard to attribute this to anything other than intentional disregard of public health guidelines.

Highly recommend. First time I went here I got a full set of all seasons for $120, installed with set of winters used for partial payment. After install I went to Wal-Mart & as I was leaving the lot I realized one of the tires was completely flat so I purchased a tire from Wal-Mart & they found a hole in the sidewall. The following day I took the tire back to Tire Exchange where they refunded me the Wal-Mart install fee/balancing plus fuel to drive to them plus replaced the tire for free. Then 2 months later that car was stolen. After purchasing another used vehicle I went here to replace the donut the previous owner had been using. I was counting on a friend to send me the money but was unable to contact her so I spoke to the sales associate & he said, "Well, do you really want to drive it on the donut?" (I had to drive at 60km from Duncan to the Tire Exchange because the donut was in such bad shape) & I said, "Not at all." So he said, "I know you have been here before so I'll install it & you can pay tomorrow when you come back to get the other side done." I was so surprised & am so truly greatful for all their help. I am a lifetime customer now & definately highly recommend getting tires from here.

Better than expected! Spoke to Conner over the phone a month before going up. He was helpful and cordial. Met in person and he got me a good deal and didn't have to screw around. They seemed well organized and computer printout of work done. All things up to code and close to RONA for shopping. Wasn't too busy mid day. Also sell new tires. Just got a used tire was 100 bucks out the door. Good enough. Included new valve stem. tire was loose

Great place to do business. They were able to take my daughters car in and swap out the winter tires on some new rims because the ones I had bought from a friend had the wrong bolt pattern.That was on a snowy day and they were already busy but managed to squeeze us in anyway. They kept the rims and charged us a minimum amount to do the whole job. Great customer service

Not a bad place to go for your tire needs, but be aware they put on a good front face to begin with, but their organizational skills and time management skills are lacking. Their work seems to be fine, but don't believe them when they tell you that they will call you at a certain time the following day, or that your tires will be ready by a certain time the next day, because inevitably, they won't call, and they won't be ready when they say they will be. It's important to know this because if you're planning your day and expecting to show up at a certain time to get your tires or have whatever it is you've brought them to be ready, chances are really good that it won't be. When you go in to pay, expect even further delays, sometimes up to 20 minutes simply to allow them to get ready to accept your payment. They will have mysteriously lost your invoice and have to rekey everything in that takes them about 10 minutes just so you can pay them. The people that answer the phones are excellent, but after that the wheels fall off and you're literally dealing with incompetent people who don't understand time commitments and really just work on their own time. It would almost make you think they're a business that should be in Duncan with their inability or unwillingness to notice what time it is and when the customer was told their work would be ready. But if you have time to burn, don't mind waiting well beyond the time that they told you your work would be ready, and then waiting another 20 minutes or so to simply pay because they don't know what they're doing half the time inside on the computers, then it's not a bad place to go. But don't expect them to get the work done, or to call you, as they promised they would. They won't.

Con-artist!!! They sold me what they called a set of "really good tires". One had a nail in it. When I showed it to them they said it was not a problem and that they'd fix it. 3 days later my tire was flat. When I brought it in again all the way from Saltspring, they said they'd have it fixed in 30 min. It was over 3 hours by the time they finished. They said they didn't find a problem and my tire still goes flat!!! I have to fill it once a week! my $300 would have been better spent somewhere else. While waiting in their lobby for 3 hours I heard that a lot of the people waiting, were there to have them fix work that wasn't done correctly the first time. I will never give them another dollar. I do not trust them. I do not recommend them. (Update) I brought my car into another shop and they found another nail in the same tire! Plugged it for free for me. It’s holding air now.

Ridiculously fast and friendly service. On Friday afternoon I called Shawnigan garage to see if they could fix a slow leak, and while they didn't have time, they did suggest I call Tire Exchange, so I did. The person that answered the phone at Tire Exchange was friendly and said they'd be able to take care of me 'no problem' - that was at 2:30pm. I filled up the leaky tire with my compressor at home, then drove the 20mins to Tire Exchange. They took my info and keys, pointed me to the waiting area (with Keurig all ready to go) - where I was entertained by another customer and his friendly Jack Russel Terrier (pet-friendly, as long as you keep them off the furniture). I was in my car and driving away at 3:30 - and the shop was hopping the whole time I was there. Busy, friendly, and great prices. Definitely going to go back (but hopefully won't need them soon)

Sold us a tire with a nail in it, so we go back and they upsell us another set of tires. Three days later and one is flat. Go back to get them to fix their problem and they make my girlfriend wait 2 1/2 hours to get the car in, when they said it would just be a half hour. Untrustworthy in my opinion. These guys were awesome! I called ahead and inquired about a near fit for some tires on my after market rims for a mustang. Although they didn’t have any used, they were super friendly and said they had some new tires that would definitely fit. I showed up without an appointment expecting to at least eye them up and decide if I wanted to make an appointment for later. But the price was right and accurate description over the phone matched the tires. Above all of this, despite being super busy they managed to squeeze me in to get them done almost immediately (but please do make an appointment as these guys really are that busy). But here’s the real kicker: The same tires they sold me (even in advance over the phone), were actually ordered for another employee’s vehicle who opted to sacrifice putting them on his own personal car for one of their customers. THIS is cutting edge customer service. A huge thanks to these guys! A+++++ Service!

Had an appointment for 3 they rushed all there drop in's before even pulling my truck into there bay which happend 50 minutes after said appoinent time. I didn't leave untill 4:55pm there order of operations is all over the place, first time dealing with them and it will be the last. Just dissapointing no heat so if its pushing to close your stuck in a very cold shop, there where a few times they where all just standing up front laughing, heard one guy say oh I better go back and help, absolutely blow away with how poorly this shop is ran, and on top of it all they charged me 40$ more then then what we talked about, If I could give negative stars I would. Go shop elsewhere

I won't be returning to the Tire Exchange or recommending their services unfortunately. I know mistakes happen, but in the end I think their standards are low and that's not great when it comes to road safety. I came to Tire Exchange to SUPPORT your local biz, bought a set of used tires, and one had a hole in the tire wall (so a useless tire). It was flat shortly after having it done. 3 calls later over the span of a month, speaking with 2 representatives saying it would be refunded, I still HAVEN'T received a refund. I was kind on the phone even though I didn't receive that same patience from BOTH employees I spoke to. The refund I requested was just one tire and I'd rather not receive attitude when asking to be compensated for your company's mistake. Its not about the money, but integrity of your services and best practices. I came from off island due to lack of inventory where I am, and because I wanted to support you guys. I also went through a great deal of trouble to troubleshoot, fix and repair everything by myself, and purchasing a new tire. Sorry but I don't trust your services.

Cobble Hill Tire Exchange wasted my time and cost me money. They called me to tell me my snow tires were in. I drove an hour to get there. WRONG TIRES. Their solution? Try to sell me more expensive tires. What a joke! Customer service is only really useful when a problem arises. They made a mistake and then failed to fix the problem, so it became my problem. Non-existent customer service, in my opinion.

I bought a set of used tires here in Jun 2020 for a 2000 VW Cabrio to ensure it had safe tires before being sold. Got told "looks great, like new". Picked them up and had my shop mount them while car was in for other maintenance. I followed up with my shop in Feb 2021 and while discussing tires, I found out this set of tires was more than 10 years old. At time of purchase, the tires that Tire Exchange sold me were already 9 years 6 months old. My shop's recommendation was that they would not service them anymore, and should be removed from the road. I got about 3 months of driving out of this set before the car (convertible) went into storage for the off-season. I ended up having to buy a brand new set of tires from another company in Apr 2021. I followed up with Tire Exchange by email, but never received a response. While the sale was technically legal, as there are no aging restrictions on new or used tire sales in Canada apparently, I can't say I'm pleased with my purchase or the outcome. I trusted them as experts to provide safe and suitable used tires for this vehicle before I passed it on to a new owner, and should have done my own diligence and checked the tires myself, and decline to purchase this set. I definitely won't be back and would not recommend Tire Exchange to anyone.
