I had that awkward dead battery experience in the ferry lineup today which was too dead for the ferry staff to help. I called Peninsula Towing who showed up in no time at all and thankfully was able to just give me a jumpstart. He recommended Sidney Tire who I called on my way who were able to set me up with a new battery as soon as I got there. They were near closing time but had my battery delivered and installed in no time at all. Lesson learned: don’t procrastinate when you see the dying battery signs. And thank you Sidney Tire.

These guys fit me in the same day I called the first time, and the next time I called the second time. They replaced and rotated my tires and also provided an oil change. They are extremely proficient, professional, and quick with their work. I was very impressed, and was able to drop my car off, wander around Sidney for a little bit, grab a coffee, and come back to my car ready to go. The price was only slightly more than I'd have paid for an Oil Change in town, and they replaced my winter tires with my summer tires in the same visit. I was impressed. 9/10.

These guys are great! Dan found the tires I needed and had them here next day. The morning I was going to drop the car off my spare went flat and the owner himself came and saved me. Had a flat coming off the ferry first thing in the morning and they got me in right away and fixed the flat pronto for a very reasonable price . I could get on with my day in town then back in the ferry. Couldn't be happier with the service

We went there because we had to do an inspection of our vehicle from another province. They told us that our 4 wheels were bent and that the window of one of our rear lights was cracked. Not far from a $ 1000 in repair costs. We got the wheels elsewhere to save a bit, but they still told us that 2 of the 4 wheels we bought were bent too. In short, they wanted to charge us for new wheels... It looks like a big scam organized with the ICBC. We are forced to do an inter-provincial inspection by ICBC and the garage owners graciously take advantage of it. He finds for $ 1000 repair it goes fast! I don't know how employees can sleep at night, knowing they are ripping people off so much?

They tried to screw me out of $1400 after I went in for a single alignment. Said all four of my ball joints were shot and needed replacing before they could do an alignment. Took my vehicle to a more trustworthy shop and said they were completely fine and did the alignment with zero problems.

I bought a new set of Michelins for my MB from these guys last summer and they gave me great service at a fair price - about the same as Costco. They tires have been great and I really appreciate their guidance in selecting them. This morning, I woke up to a large nail in one of the tires and needed help. They told how to drive there safely, and then promptly did an excellent repair job at a really good price. Their office appears to be very well organized and the service staff have been very friendly and courteous. No hesitation in recommending.

A kind BC Ferry staffer informed me I had a flat. This was the closest shop to the ferry. I was glad they were open despite the social distancing. They repaired one tire and found a leak in another one. Both were changed quickly and they communicated through the whole process. Highly recommended.

Although I’ve never written a review before, I feel compelled to acknowledge the outstanding service I experienced at Sidney Tire about a month ago. After my car battery unexpectedly died while coming across on the ferry, I was in a hurry to get a replacement in order to meet a time-sensitive appointment up north. It was a hot day, I had a large dog with me that doesn’t do well in unfamiliar situations, and I was just just passing through and didn’t know the Sidney area. After stopping by 3 other mechanic shops who were not able to help me, I went to Sidney Tire. Although they were busy, Mike Pearson, the service advisor, took the time to listen to my situation. He and the team kindly squeezed in my car and he personally drove across town to get a necessary part. They welcomed my dog into the cool shop and gave him a mug of cold water. Another employee sat with my dog and gently helped calm his nerves while I took care of payment. We were back on the road within an hour. I am sincerely grateful for the excellent service I experienced at Sidney Tire and highly recommend them. Thank you for not only competently and quickly fixing my car, but also for extending kindness and empathy to me and my dog.

They found my electrical gremlin very quickly and were honest about the condition of my car, they didint sneak any unnecessary costs. Definitely earned my respect.

Car was broken so I took it here, they told me what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix it. They replace the part then call me back saying that the part was never broken and it was something else that was a fraction of the cost. But they still made me pay for the part they replaced even though it didn’t need replacing. And to top it all off when I got my car back they messed around some other stuff and now my fuel gage doesn’t work anymore, and when I called back to ask them to fix it they said they would charge me even more to fix a part of my car that they broke. Do not bring your car here, they will rip you off and then hand your car back to you with more broken stuff so you will be forced to spend more money.
