We had a nail in our tire and with all of the people putting on snowtires they still saved the day! Appreciate the quick fix!
Quick quote by email, got me in fast and out on time. Excellent service and help for selecting my winter tires.
Worst customer service ever! They cancelled an appointment even though I asked them not to while I was just checking for prices completely unethical. Impolite and unpleasant.
Good services
tried charging me $90 to repair a hole in my tire. took it to the dealership for $40. you know you're overcharging when the DEALERSHIP is cheaper!
Good people.
I had a great experience there. My previous (unfinished) review ended with me arriving @4pm because I accidentally hit send when I wasn't actually finished the review. Duh. What I wanted to say was that the whole process started at about 3 pm-so pretty fast service from Lucas. In fact it was he who actually did the work to install the bulb! It was done by 5:15pm which is technically past closing time but Lucas maintained a top notch service with a smile 'finish up' to get me on my way. Other staffers were around to chat a bit and they all seemed like genuinely decent guys who want to do a great job. I definitely recommend Big O Tires for auto repair.. Thanks guys, great job. Neil
Pros: efficient, had the tires looking for. Cons: unfriendly, no thorough explanations, and when asked short with customer. Price is also higher than 2 other competitors.
Quick reasonably priced repair
I took my car to 3 shops before taking it to OK Tire. All 3 of them wanted me to buy a new tire and they said that they can't patch my existing one. OK Tire patched it the same day and I've been driving it for over a month with no issues
They lost my business on the phone before I even got there to buy tires. I spoke with Scott and he was not pleasant to deal with. He somehow seemed to think I should just know the break down of the pricing. He quoted me $121 on a house tire for my vehicle. And I asked how much the installation is and he said the total per tire installed with Taxes is $173. I said oh so you want me to do the math? When I ask how much the installation is just tall me what your installation cost is instead of giving me the full cost per tire with taxes and disposal fee. He lost my business almost instantly. He just seemed a bit pushy and maybe he was rushed.. I don't know but I didn't like his vibe or his methods and said thanks for your time and went shopping elsewhere and it turns out the people at Canadian Tire were excellent so they got my business.
Went to get winter tires , when the time that I was supposed to pick my car up 5 hrs went by I get a call telling me that they had inadvertently put the wrong tires on my car and that they got the wrong tires in and they had just realized it now and now they can't give me winter tires until the next day and then instead of apologizing for any of that they simply blamed me like it was my fault when I gave them the number of the type and type of tires, not only did they lose my business but I'll never go back to them again terrible terrible customer service.
CALLED OK TIRE FOR A QUOTE ON SOME WORK. TOLD THE GUY I WOULD CALL HIM BACK. HE HUNG UP ON ME, AND I FOUND A QUOTE 50% THE PRICE SOMEWHERE ELSE. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Avoid at all costs. I won't go into a long explanation about this place. There are plenty of negative reviews to peruse. I would however recommend Kal Tire up the street. Twice the service at half the cost. And no attitude.
Worst experience! I have been changing out my snow tires here for the last 3 years and always had ok service but this time the owner, Blair, was dismissive, rude and and a complete a## on the phone. When I asked if the price had gone up, he said, 'that's what we charge. If you don't like it come and get your tires and go somewhere else.' I called the head office and they were pretty good in sending my snow tires to another location to get fitted. Avoid this location at all cost.
Great experience. This shop has been taking care of my vehicle for 5 years. They consistently provided me with the great customer service
Best service and trustworthy honorable people I've meet in the auto repair service industry. We have gone exclusively there for many years because of their expertise and quick turn-around times.
I would highly recommend if you need advice on purchasing your tires to come here. I shopped around before replacing my tires on my mercedes. I received excellent advice and service. I replaced 4 tires and feel very confident that I have chosen the right experts to help me. Thank you very much for your time educating me on the different types of tires and what I would need for the type of driving I do. I will recommend you to everyone
They didn't have the tires we needed but Ryan went over and above to organized another location to install the correct tire same day. Thanks so much.
Referred by an existing customer who vouched for them as straight talking, prompt with good customer service. He was right. I take my truck in more than I like because I'm mechanically inept and I like to off-road, but i don't sweat it too much because they do good work.
Always good service!
I brought my 8 years old Lexus here to fix the starter. The manager is very kind and willing to work with customers. They fixed my problem promptly, and helped me when an additional issue came up. Knowledgeable, kind, honest. Would recommend.
Have had my car serviced there half a dozen times in the past few years - my car is ten years old so needed stuff like oil seals fixed to replacing a motor on an automatic window. Fantastic service every time - they give me a quote - never go over it - always reasonable and have never had a problem at all. So hard to find an honest and cheerful mechanic who knows what they are doing - this team is the best!
Amazingly loyal, consistently helpful; good product & excellent service. #GoodNeighbours
I was looking for a new set of tires for my sedan and Chris Macdonald was very helpful and honest, not selling me on the most expensive tire but more on a tire that he thought had value beyond its price tag. I found the service very honest and upfront with no pressure or weirdness. I love the toyo proxus 4plus tires that I bought, they have made my car really fun to drive. I highly recommend these guys for there honest no pressure advice.
Great service! Honest and to the point, flexible with drop off and pick up times. Lovely people!!!
See blondie? Rip her off! Grrr
Fast, efficient and friendly service. Blair analyzed the problem and fixed only what was needed and price was right.
It is my pleasure to write this review for OK Tire. They did an excellent job fixing the air conditioning in my vehicle. Blair Martin at the front was very helpful. I appreciate the effort that he made to get me in so quickly, and for providing such an excellent level of customer service. He was also very honest and upfront about my options, and I did not get the feeling that I was getting ripped off like I have at other places. I will not hesitate to recommend OK Tire to my friends and family for any issues that they may have with their vehicles. Thank you for your professionalism.
These guys are amazingly fast.. ordered my tire super quick.. got me in the next morning.. fixed it all up . Also rotated my tires so that they're balanced. Thanks guys!
Great work. I went to 2 other shops before as they either didn’t sell my tire (solus) or it seemed super expensive. Called and they quoted me $60 cheaper. They ordered it in for the next day and only took 30 minutes from my appointment time. They also managed to keep my alloy gator on as Kal tire said they would have to cut it (would have been another $40 to replace). Super happy and will be back.
Great bunch of guys! Great customer service! Highly recommend. I phoned late Monday, dropped my car off Tuesday a.m., had it back at the end of the day Tuesday. No muss, no fuss. The tech was highly knowledgeable, explained the problem with my car, and what it would cost, in a very effective and professional manner. And with me being new to town, their prompt service was very comforting. I'll definitely be a return customer. Thanks, guys!
Awesome service and excellent staff that go above and beyond to help. Pleasure to go here for my winter tires. Thank you Blair!
They gave me a quote on ordering in tires for my car. The pricing came out a little less than Canadian Tire. As well, they were able to order them in for me without requiring me to pay the full amount upfront (unlike Canadian Tire). When I went to pick up the car, they let me know that two of my wheels were bent and I should probably replace them relatively soon depending on how much I drive the car. I know very little about cars, and they explained what the issue was and the long term effects. My car is quite old and they gave me some helpful suggestions on places where I could find the same wheels. The whole experience was great.
Sketchy dishonest, They insist I need two new tires on a twenty year old car on it's last legs. No offer fix a simple puncture.
(Translated) I just visited Vancouver because of a used car problem. I was worried about my English wrong. Fortunately, I was able to get a very comfortable service because there was a Korean person. Thank you!
Needed winter tires while I was in town as it is my first winter, gave me a very good quote last minute, and was in and out in less then 60min
Barely made it there with a flat tire. They would not help me AT ALL, except to suggest I go to Canadian Tire. I actually ended up at Carter Honda for amazing customer service, where they quickly assisted me -- pulling a nail from my tire and making the repair. I don't usually post anything on Google Reviews, but the customer service at OK Tire was abysmal. Certainly stay away from there in an urgent situation, as they won't help you even put a little air in the tire to make it to the next shop. Just brutal.
Service was fast and friendly
Nathan did a great job recommending performance snow tires and rims. Price was good, on par with Tire Rack, but no hassles with buying local. Thank you OK Tire. Have recommended you to others, also satisfied, but wish you were open Saturday!
Great service, staff was knowledgeable about tire options and explained what needed to be done. The technicians were detail oriented as well (inflated all tires to the recommended ratings - where the front and back tires were different pressures by design). They were able to slot me in relatively quickly as well. However, I felt nickeled and dimed for all the extra fees: inspection charge, shop fees, additional installation charge for item even when the wheels and tires were already off the car. I am torn whether I would come back because of this as the service was so good.
I brought my kia here because I had a flat tire. I also had to change to my winter tires. The asian guy found a nail in the tire and was damaged because I drove on it. He also noticed I had the wrong size all season tires and were 11 years old. This is my first car and I don't know about cars. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Good service and friendly staff.
Great service, brought my vehicle in well before my appointment and the job was completed before my appointment. Awesome!
Friendly staff. Finished my work on time.
I scheduled a tire replacement and wheel alignment for my wife's car and took a chance on this location based on a family member's recommendation. I am sad to say it was a horrendous experience overall, and culminated in a massive safety issue being completely missed by their technicians. I had initially scheduled 2 tires to be replaced, noting on my appointment request that it may in fact need 4 (I figured I would leave it in their expert hands to determine). Soon after making the appointment I was advised that they did not sell the brand of tire currently on the vehicle, but recommended an alternative make and brand which I noted to be well reviewed. On the day of the appointment, I dropped the vehicle off, at which point the young rep at the counter confirmed I just needed the two tires. I pointed out again that it could be 4, depending on what they saw. I was initially told they only had two tires in stock, but was then reassured that they in fact had plenty more. A few hours later I returned and was advised the alignment was done and two tires had been replaced. When I queried the condition of the other two, I was subsequently advised "oh yeah, he says they need to be replaced too". But of course, they did not have any more in stock despite being told previously they had. I explained that I was leaving for a trip to the interior and needed the vehicle to be road worthy. The indifference in the response from Brian was palpable, but we came to an arrangement that I would return again the next day to repeat the process and get the other two tires replaced. I subsequently picked up the vehicle the next day, paid the remaining balance (of a $1300 bill) and drove off, glad to have the tires on and the car ready for a trip. Or so I thought. As soon as I hit 40 kph an astoundingly loud road noise could be heard coming from the wheels. I immediately contacted the store to advise them, to which they speculated it could have simply been brake dust. I was advised to monitor it but if concerned, to bring it back in. Rather than attempt a THIRD appointment to have my tires replaced, I chose to visit an alternative OK Tire branch in Langley. No sooner had I dropped it off, I got a call advising that a wheel baring was completely gone and was "clear as day". What's even more concerning about the W. 3rd branch is that despite being "experts" at all things tires and wheels, their technicians completely missed the fact that a wheel baring was completely gone, representing a massive safety risk to me and my family. Not to mention the $150 wheel alignment they charged me for, which contained a road test that never occurred (odometer in and out numbers were the same) and no diagnoses of a blatant wheel safety issue. Save yourself the time and aggravation; avoid this location at all costs.
Very poor service
Was able to accommodate my request for snow tires see mounted within 24 hours. Friendly and informative staff. I will visit them for my next set of tires for sure.
Very thorough and detailed work. Thanks!
Need get my tire fix, and they try to sell me 4 tires, they said it was unrepairable. My tire got fix somewhere else, and on top Of that they would charge you 40 CAD for checking your tire
I have literally never had a better experience with a mechanic shop in my life. I was visiting Vancouver for the weekend and my car developed a horrible shudder on the drive there. I called this place about 5 minutes before they closed Friday night (I've had good experiences with other OK Tire's in the past.) They booked me in 9am the next day. I thought the car had a bad wheel bearing but they expertly diagnosed the issue as a transmission problem. Not only that, but they told me how I could baby the car back to Calgary so I wouldn't be stuck in Vancouver while the tranny got fixed! And, they pulled the 'check engine' codes and changed the differential oil free of charge trying to diagnose the problem with the car. I was beyond impressed and would recommend this shop to anyone!
Been with them for over 10 years and totally satisfied with their great services and knowledgeable technicians. A must go place for all types of tire solutions and mechanical repairs.
Didn't call back or fix flat when they said they would. $60 for a flat repair seemed expensive when the wheel wasn't even on the vehicle.
This business defiantly deserves a 5 out of 5. I called one other large tire co. In vanc.and no answer and second try put on hold and no ever did get back to me. I live about 400 kms away, hit a pothole and wrecked one of my tires on my way to vanc. limped to town on my donut spare. My tires are an odd size (20 inches) and when I got them last time it took 2weeks. I got through to O/K just before 2pm, they said that they could have it by 4.30 and would get it installed. I was out by 5pm and will be able to go home first thing tomorrow. Ever member of the team was excellent including a very young fellow who changed the tire quickly and stored the spare back exactly where it belonged. Best tire experience ever and I am nearly 80. Price was excellent and I strongly recommend this O/K dealership, esp. for tires. Robert Strong
Would not give me info I needed
Unbelievably bad customer service at this location. When I said I was unhappy with the service, I was told it was "my fault for bringing them my car". Do your research and take your car elsewhere!
Great place to get your tired fixed.
Excellent and very informative.
Amazing experience. Paid less than expected. Thorough job done in the shop and extra leg work done by Ryan up front. Thanks for everything!
DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP. THEY WILL SELL YOU STUFF YOU DO NOT NEED!!! They are CROOKS!!!!!! A second and third opinion verified they were trying to take me for a ride!!! I drive more than 50,000kms per year, mostly in Greater Vancouver. In October, 2014 when I got a random flat in the West Broadway area, I found a local OK Tire as past experiences with the brand had been positive. From the minute I dropped off the tire, I suspected foul play. Blair at the reception made a few comments regarding “if” the tire can be fixed that made me uneasy, like he was setting the stage for something. A few hours later, I received a call to say there was internal damage and it can't be repaired. I told them “thanks, I'll come by and pick it up”. However, the kid on the phone would not let me go without telling me of the “options” I had. He went on to say that the same tire was $350, but they could give me a great deal at $279 plus a bunch of nonsense extra charges. Option 2 was to consider 4 brand new tires as mine were “a little warn anyway”. When I went back to pick up the tire, their mood toward me had clearly changed, they were borderline rude. I merely indicated that I wanted my tire back and didn't question their claim or diagnosis of the damage. Nevertheless, they immediately got defensive and tried to justify their position. To add insult to injury, I still got slapped with an $18 “inspection” fee. Funny, since the total cost of the repair would only have been $40. Seems like they gambled $20 to hopefully make a few hundred. After leaving the shop, I stopped by a local Fountain Tire. I explained that I had a tire that I suspected might have some internal damage. The guy at the counter came out to take a look and assured me the tire was fine. He then got one of his techs to take a look. The tech pointed out some mild wear on the inside of the tire, but said he fixes much worse everyday. As it was now closing time, Fountain Tire didn't have time to fix it so I went home. The next day I took my car to the dealership and had my regular mechanic take a look. He noted a small amount of internal wear that was typical of the tire going flat and running a few hundred metres while pulling safely off the road. He said there was no reason the tire couldn't be repaired and the internal casing will far outlast the tread. 20 minutes and $50 later, I was back on the road. Since this incident, I have put more than 8,000kms on the tire. I have had no issues and it hasn't lost a single PSI of pressure. Maybe this OK Tire was trying to rip me off or maybe they’re just incompetent at their jobs, In any case, I will NEVER trust another OK Tire and they have certainly lost my business for good.
Three stars because they're OK. Their prices are OK, and hardly competitive.
The staff a this tire store are excellent i had my winter tires changed in less than one hour as promised and fifty percent cheaper than my dealer.
Great and honest advice on tire. Highly recommended!!!
Great service
Very professional staff here. Had a flat tire to fix and also got a full set of tires as well. They have a great selection of tires for all seasons.
Poor customer service. Very short with you and a bit condescending. Did not even tell me what work they did to my car when I came to pick it up.
Honest and Timely service
I would highly recommend this place, as the customer service they provided was top-notch. The technician explained what the problem was with my car in an effective manner. The cost was also reasonable and competitive as compared to other auto shops.
My go to place for all my car needs. Very quick and reasonably priced. Awesome people that have helped me out of a jam more than once!
I went to OK tire for an out of province inspection - their price was lower than other mechanics I called, and they were able to fit me in quite quickly. When I was told I needed new tires to pass, they offered to go over different types of tires based on my budget/ amount of driving etc. They managed to do all the work I needed on the same day, as well as provided me with everything I needed to give to ICBC to make the process go smoothly. A few weeks later I needed to screw my license late on the front of my car (there were no holes as I came from Alberta and we don't require a front plate there) and they invited me to come in and did it for me right away. I believe I spoke with Ryan and another two gentlemen who were all so helpful and patient with all my questions! Thanks again for all of your help during a stressful move in the midst of a crazy pandemic :)
I have been going to them for years (and my dad even longer) and thought that it should be time that I give them a review. Blair and his team have done an excellent job when it came to repairing or doing other maintenance on my vehicle. If there were any issues with my truck Blair would call me and recommend what should be done. I have had oil changes, wheel bearings, brakes, rotors, alignments, recharged AC, belts, after market wheels balanced, Tires, shocks and other suspension components replaced by them. They also do very detailed online reports with photos of what needs to be replaced. And because of this it actually has helped me win ICBC disputes when my vehicle was involved in a hit & run. They are passionate and know what they are doing! I would highly recommend and I trust them to take care of my vehicle. Blair, Ryan and Gary thank you so much Matt Cruickshank
Unbelievable experience! I had my truck in the shop a few weeks back and had my tires changed and the alignment done. I had a problem with the truck after I picked it up from the shop so I brought It back to have them look at it. I was told there was nothing wrong with the truck and was told I had to pay for the inspection. I explained the situation and asked why they don't stand by the work they had done. I was told by the BOSS as he called himself, that my 2009 fully loaded truck with only 50k on it, is a piece of ##it. At this point things went south. He told Me that he didn't want my cash or my busyness. OK see yah never
They are always honest and upfront for all my car care needs. Great staff !
Initially I had a tire repair in may 2021 and nobody told me the tire was excessively worn on the inside on the tire, then took a 12hr roadtrip and barely made it back.. it's v frustrating and possibly dangerous in that instance.. if they would have told me I need tires i would have got some. V disappointed..plus the quote from the old lady was lower than when I paid.. decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and told it's cheaper than MB for servicing.. it definitely wasn't !!! Lucky I only got the oil changed and got the remaining service elsewhere as the service guy was rude and annoyed I didn't want to pay 1700 for a B service.!!
Excellent service. Honest professional. Thanks Mr. Blair and Mr. Ryan!
Great service. Really transparent about what needed to be done and why. Pricing was fair, problem was solved on the first visit. Thanks!
EXCELLENT !! professional techs leading by a passionate owner. Have been going there in the past 15 years. **can't afford a new vehicle when living in Vancouver. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME !!
Not interested in taking the time to make things work for us. Just another set of winter tires I suppose.
Been having my car serviced here for years. Always been treated fairly and professionaly. It's a busy shop because they do quality work. Don't expect to be able to just walk in without an appointment and have your vehicle serviced on the spot !
I have been getting excellent, straight forward auto work for my cars for few years with OkTire. They give reasonable estimates, call to discuss additionals or to recommended changes. The mechanics I have to deal with provided excellent and dependable repairs. I highly recommend OkTires for car repair and upkeep.
They take advantage of women, wife was charged $80 for simple nail pull and quick repair. STAY AWAY!!!
Responded to my online quote request for a specific tire within 10 mins, booked appointment for next day. Install took 1hr, very smooth experience.
My wife was referred by her friend to take her car to OK Tire for check after the car would crank over but would not start. It did restart before she took it to this shop but the check engine light is still on. They cleared the check engine light and guessed it may be the battery. But the battery was installed just over a year old. They did not mention what error code they discovered from their fancy machine which they charged us for. They also did our maintenance while the car was there. The car did not start again last week. The check engine light came on again. Obviously , they did not do a thorough enough check. I looked up from you tube with the symptoms, a very likely crankcase position sensor malfunction and error code. Don't waste your time and money at OK Tire. November 5, 2014 Here's exactly what the OK Tire invoice indicates: "Engine code P0335 - CKP A Circuit. Code related to battery going dead likely. Reset Code." Ask any auto mechanic, they should able to tell P0335 code indicates Crankshaft Position Sensor fault NOT dead battery. Nason, please read your own invoice record again and not mislead possible customer to your shop.
Went there to get a patch , 4 guys doing nothing 10 min after of waiting they told me they are completely booked and can't do anything, garbage customer service
Awful. Do NOT take your car here. We’ve taken our car back 4 times for an issue we brought up at our very first visit. When you trust that a mechanic is going to fix the issues with your car when you agree to whatever needs to be done, you’d assume that they would do the job. But no. We even had them hand back our car when metal was scratching on metal. We couldn’t even drive down the street because he screeching was so loud. You pay for “labour”, yet they can’t even check to see if what they’ve done is correct. We also had our tent and 2 sleeping bags magically just disappear, despite the fact that they were in our boot and the car hadn’t been anywhere aside from there and our home. Awful service, expensive, a time waster and a complete waste of money. Biggest mistake trusting them with our vehicle.
Takes a while to get tires swapped (including rim changing) since I'm used to Big O in Coquitlam which takes like 10 minutes! But when I called them and took my car back because the tires were going flat they investigated and fixed it free of charge for me (rims needed a new bead?). Also the older guy who works there is quite pleasant. Coffee while you wait too. Overall good experience.
Friendly staff, professional work, and very fast service! Recommend for anyone that needs tire work done
Super quick and efficient service. I walked in with a flat and they had it back to me within 24h even tho they where slammed. Great front desk services and the people know their stuff. 100% will return
