towed girlfriends car to their shop then told us what exactly was wrong (ignition had to be completely replaced) When she got it back all the lights stay on and the wipers etc etc etc wouldnt work unless turned the key JUST right. They said it would go away....right.....also made the car harder to drive due to sensors going off and on, and if you know where abbotsford is, you kind of need your lights and wipers to work properly as its constantly raining. So then today when we told them to fix their problem, they then informed us the entire ignition would have to be replaced at her cost. REALLY?! YOU JUST DID THAT! Apparently they replaced just the Tumbler for $250 and a $66 tow even tho they had quoted me to replace the entire thing. why wouldnt you see whats wrong and fix it. oh right! Quoted me a $270 job and charged me $300 because they "did something different" - all you did was a straight pipe exhaust job and charge me more, that's it. If you can't trust them with their prices, how can you trust them with your car?!

Went there with my mazda 3 last month was in a pinch with trying to get another shop to install my exhausted system and these guys came to my rescue gave them a call got me right in and installed in a hour witch was great as I had my young child with me what a Great fast and friendly service glad I went there the owners were so friendly,all be bringing all my cars that need any work here.

Took my car in with an exhaust issue (a bit noisy). When I came to pickup my vehicle, they were closing down early and then after I drive away a rattling noise (worse than before) is coming from my car. Had to take it to another shop as I am from out of town, and found out Midas left several exhaust pipes loose (had to be welded). Called them up and they refused to cover the cost of the extra repair, all they could offer was an oil change... Not impressed. Update: I sent a message to Midas the same day as my original review and now one has contact me, making me change my review to one star.

Another great experience with the team @ Midas in Abbotsford. Jason and Dave are a cut above the rest when it comes to service. Had some exhaust work done again on my custom Jeep. Dave is always up front with you, verify's work before it is done at a great price. Highly recommend these guys!

I got a quote from midas on my rear brakes for a work truck. They quoted me $1400 to get everything replaced and charged be $55 for looking at it. I then took it into Helmut's Garage near UFV and they quoted me half the price at $756 and only charged me $25 to look at it. I found Midas' price to be surprisingly high and was very unimpressed and would recommend that people check out Helmuts or atleast get a quote from them to cross compare what a fair price should be. I will never go back to Midas after this experience.

Got a quote for replacing front break pads and rotor for $780.00. Original VW parts cost no more than $250...how can you satisfy labour cost for over $500?!it takes about 45 min to do the job. Unbelievable! VW dealer quoted well below that! How they can sleep in night with what they do! Avoid or you will be taken to cleaners!

I love this place and the people who run it. They commit to the repairs needed. They do a fantastic job. And they are more than reasonable with their pricing. They’ve installed a after market muffler on my car for me. Done a whole clutch kit install for my fiancé’s truck; and being the fact that it’s an older truck they Ran into a couple issues which they solved as well. They are more than amazing. Couldn't find a place to get air into my tires that doesn't cost anything as I don't carry cash with me any more. And gas stations in the area had broken air machines. I popped into Midas, and the guy I spoke with filled up my tires. I really appreciate that kind of service. Will definitely bring my car here when I need new tires.

*SECOND EDIT* 6 months have gone by and still no contact from midas, they obviously don't car about their work or customer satisfaction and I'm still stuck with a damaged exhaust and hanging bumper *EDIT*: ***they emailed me saying they would submit this information and I should hear from someone soon. It has been a month with no attempt at contacting me*** Was forced to go to Midas as I could not find another tire shop in the Fraser Valley willing to only put snow tires on front rims of a fwd vehicle. First time I received my car back they had damaged the exhaust causing it to be obnoxiously loud (even the radio cant mask it). When I went back to replace the rear tires with the old front tires and have them fix the exhaust they damaged they told me they wanted $90 to fix the exhaust system that THEY damaged and on top of it all they even DAMAGED my rear bumper on the second service causing it to hang a few inches down. Very unhappy with the "service" they provide, employees obviously do not care about the vehicles they work on.

Dropped it off on a Thursday with a list of things I wanted looked at.. left details in the online appointment form as well. Monday rolls around and I still haven’t heard from them so I give them a call and they said they hadn’t done anything on it because their computers couldn’t read the engine light. Meanwhile I mainly wanted spark plugs changed, belts serviced, and brake lines bolted in. Had to call back daily to check in because they were not communicating with each other or me. Finally just went to pick it up and all they did was change my spark plugs. Waste of time. Waste of money. Do not recommend this shop.

Very rude people. They left early and caused me to lose a client as I was unable to obtain my vehicle. The lady changed her story several times and refused to prove that they were at the garage when I have timestamped evidence that says they were in fact not there. The general work was okay but ridiculously expensive, and insulting my vehicle, and blatantly being dishonest isn't ever going to convince me to go back or recommend them for anything! If they were at least honest then it would have been okay, but they were not honest.

My mothers car came in for new winter tires and the mechanic ripped the radiator out of place on the hoist. Midas then charged my mother over $700.00 for a new rad. When the arguement carried on they brought her to tears in the office. Unacceptable and has me outraged. Im not even the type to make negative reviews but this should be known.

Nobody there was in a good mood which I can understand but we were waiting outside (due to covid) for my car to be estimated and we had 2 very unhappy babies in the heat and they were done and watching us struggle but never came outside to tell us so we waited way longer then necessary and the very worst part was that they quoted me 1000$ and when I took it somewhere else for a second opinion I got a 200$ quote....i can understand a small difference but 800$ is just crazy ????????

I had a horrible experience with Midas in abbotsford. It is cheaper to go to the dealer then dealing with Midas on South Fraserway. Grumpy grandma should be in a retirement home and enjoying her senior instead of being miserable dealing with the public. Not a very good experience.

I went to two mechanics to figure out why my tires were scrubbing after I got alignment done from midas. Both told me that the alignment wasn't not done and the number seems like they were just printed falsely.

Went in to fix a noise that my car was making while driving. They charged me $1000 to replace my rotors and the sound wasn't even fixed. Those brand new rotors have began to rust only a month after they were installed Went in again and they aligned my wheels. The sound my car was making still was not fixed. Do not go to this place, terrible quality and overpriced.

took a vehicle in there , to get the exhaust done . drove the car twice after the car was done . and exhaust lossened off from exhaust header due to over tourqing, and use of excessive washers . bent the flange to point were it can not be re used . not impressed would not take any vehicles here , but I must say they are very polite

I took my truck here for a routine oil change for the first time to correspond with my warranty. This location actually used incorrect vehicle information and gave my truck an oil change and used TOO MUCH OIL. The technician told me if there is too much oil, That it could ruin my engine. He rushed out to drain some oil out of my vehicle. The owner lady said "the truck would have been fine" "it was only half a litre over". Not to mention I gave them the information on my truck upon booking the appointment and they had my vehicle in their shop. She mentioned down dirty the engine was and showed no empathy regarding Their Mistake. They offered no compensation for my wasted time and a possible ruined engine and the owner did not even Apologize. Kept blaming her mistake on the "System she looks vehicles up on". If i didn't catch their mistake, and something went wrong with the engine, my WARRANTY COULD BE VOID. DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION!!!!

We love this place. We first went there for an oil change. The people are honest and friendly. Great service. They would tell you about your car as it is. They don't try to sell unnecessary services. My car's tail light was out. Margaret told me on the phone that I could come right away. The technician was nice. They didn't even bother charging me because the part was cheap. I have 3 vehicles I bring in regularly. Today they STOLE $730.00 from me and my family. I paid for a check engine light repair....they told me was fixed. They charged me $730.00 I drove my car out of the lot and the light came on again....no refund. I paid for parts and labor that didn't fix the problem. They told me it's a recall and told me the dealership would reimburse my $730.00 Went to dealership and they told me Midas replaced the wrong parts and in fact there is no recall. And no such thing as reimbursement. Midas in Abbotsford stole $730.00 from me and my family Place is maybe good enough for a oil change Looks like Margaret and her husband the people who own Midas for the last 44 years are coming close to retirement now stealing money before they sell the establishment Please avoid Midas and Margaret and save your hard earned money You can thank me later

Brought them my 86 Thunderbird for a simple wheel alignment, and inner tie rod replacement. Almost 400$ dollars later and the car was worse than before. I chose this location simply because it is near my house. In the summer they did my exhaust, final bill was hundreds of dollars more than the original quote, and they had my car almost 4 full days. Avoid at all costs

My friend took his motor home here before heading out on a trip . It ended up being there 4 days and when they got the call to come pick it up it had been broken into , damaged , and all their belongings stolen , the shop said they were unaware this had happened and because the shop had parked it in their parking lot and it wasn't inside a service bay bay weren't responsible for anything . Maybe they aren't but to not even notice or let the customer know seems kind of odd . I would avoid them for that reason alone but their quotes are almost always double anywhere else I go and then its usually more than the quote was .

both of the heater core hoses had serious pin holes on them and eventually started leaking pretty bad. i was only able to make it to midas abbotsford before they let go and i started spewing anti freeze on the engine. one of the managers came out to help. he threw the keys to the shop car and told me that the truck would be fixed for a reasonable price by 12 noon the next day. i returned the following day and everything was taken care of. I will absolutely be going back and will recommend to my friends and family as the service was great.

I was told that they didn't have the parts needed to finish the service in my vehicle as my vehicle was so new that it was not in the system yet. They told me that they would call to update me the following Monday. When Tuesday evening came around and I still hadn't heard from them I called and they apologized and said they still hadn't found the parts and that they would get back to me on Wednesday. Wednesday came around, and no word from them. They seemed very unorganized and understaffed. The only receptionist and office staff was an elderly lady that did not seem to be on top of things and this was clearly evident from the poor service I got. Not going back, that's for sure.

Borderline incompetent welds on a replacement flex joint had to take it back in to get it done correctly. The welds failed a second time two months after that, did not bother going back. For the repair cost I should of Imported the new part from the USA for the same cost.

Took my truck here to get my winter tires put on. They called back and said they were warn out to the point that they couldn't legally put them on, and sold me new winter tires. A week later I got a call at home from Midas saying there was 30% tread left on the tires and asking if I wanted them back. Couldn't keep their lies straight. When I called them on it she put me on hold and went to check. Said the tires were out of date, as though there was an expiry date on them. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well. Find another repair shop, this one is dishonest.
