Awesome service! My car wouldn't start after a 4 hour dental appointment. I phoned and was told that yes they could take a look. They recommended a tow truck company to tow my vehicle to them. Great place to do business! I'm new to the island and got a flat tire on the way to work. I didn't know where to go so I checked out Google reviews of tires places near me and Big O Tires had the best reviews. So I rolled down the hill on my donut and they were so helpful and fast! I was in and out within 45 mins plus had a great chat with Don while I was there. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely give these guys more of my business. Thanks again Don ;)

Quick, great service as quoted. These guys are legit and friendly. My only gripe is the “no warranty on customer provided parts”. I get it from a legal perspective and from a hassle/warranty perspective, but if workmanship fails as opposed to a part, and is demonstrably proven, one would think that the work would still be warranted, and a court of law would likely agree if it came down to it. In the end the consumer should be allowed to have the option to not pay markup on shop provided parts. But as mentioned above, overall service otherwise was fantastic. Definitely will return as labour rates are some of the best likely on the island.

I recently bought a used Smart Fortwo. It was serviced in September at this location, when the winter tires were put on. This car has DIFFERENT front vs back tires (narrower in front, wider in back). On one side, they had this switched! It was the left side that was done incorrectly, which is the side with the drive wheel. Luckily my mechanic noticed this before it caused problems...

Don and his team were terrific. We had to get to the interior for a bit of an emergency and didn't want to risk possibility of snow on the Coquihalla. Called Big O at 8am. He had the tires changed and balanced within 30 min and we were on our way for an extremely reasonable fee. Wouldn't hesitate to return again.

I took my car in to be repaired & they were great price was cheaper then any where else, & couple weeks later I had problems related to another part of the clutched they fixed & when I took it in they fixed it at no extra cost. Big O Tires Westshore swapped winter tires for summer tires on my rims. I got a flat tire a few weeks later, turns out there was really bad damage to the inside of my tire from the mounting procedure. I later checked my winter tires the Big O Tires Westshore removed from my rims. I found that one of my winter tires had multiple points of damage as well. I contacted them and brought the damage to show them in person. Big O Tires Westshore ultimately denied that it was them who damaged the tires, saying it was impossible that they could have done it. I was told that a tire could only be damaged when it's removed from a rim, so I asked why my winter tire was damaged, as they removed it. They again denied the fact that they damaged it. Yet when I dropped the tires off originally, there was no damage. I'm now frustrated as I'm left with damaged tires and money out of my pocket to pay for repairs and Big O Tires claims there is no way to prove it was them. I spoke with service advisors Don & Troy - both denied any and all responsibility. Beyond these men telling me that there is no way to establish when the damage happened, I was also told that even if the tire was damaged previous to them receiving the tires, they would have still installed the damaged tire no problem. Considering their insistence that their technicians are professionals at their job, this is a disturbing statement to make. Throughout the first conversation I had with Don, he spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner. He raised his voice multiple times and put me on hold while I was in middle of speaking. When I asked for the $340 that I had to spend repairing Big O Tires mistake, I was laughed at and told I was just trying to 'burn them.' The conversation with Don ended with no results. I had to take 3 hours off work to deal with all of this, source my own replacement tires, and get another shop to install everything. I don't think it's unreasonable to request the costs I had to pay as a result of the damage caused by this business. My second conversation was with Troy, and he acted no better than Don did. I was repeatedly cut off when I was trying to speak or explain myself and he started argue with me about something completely unrelated to the conversation. He eventually offered a refund on the initial installation I got about a month ago, which was a fraction of what this entire mess has caused me. Despite him chuckling at my assertions throughout the conversation that his technicians' work is subpar, the refund was then threatened to be taken away when I chuckled at something he stated. Completely childish behavior from "professionals" all around. I consider myself lucky the tire just went flat while I was at work. What if I was driving around a corner and the stress from turning was to much for the weak point on the tire and it exploded of the rim? Not only are myself and passengers in danger, but anyone around me would be in danger as well. Big O Tires Westshore didn't really seem to care when I mentioned that to them, Don said I was 'grasping at straws' and he just continued to deny, deny, deny. I am not sure what is worse, Big O Tires Westshore damaging tires to the point they fail, *supposedly* not noticing giant chunks missing from a tire prior to installation, or noticing a damaged tire and installing it regardless? Any way that you look at it, it's all unsafe practices. So please, for you safety, your family's safety, and everyone's safety around you, don't go to Big O Tires Westshore. They'll either damage your parts, or install damaged parts, or both. If you had work done at this Big O Tire location I would seriously take your vehicle to another shop to have it inspected. Even if nothing comes of it, $150 for peace of mind. You never know, maybe they damaged things on your vehicle too?

Told me to come back in an hour and a half to get my car, came back at that time my car hadnt moved and they instead are working on tires, no call to tell me they were behind schedual or anything, if 2 minutes on a phone isnt worth their time then dont waste yours giving them your money

Fountain Tire wouldn't mount my 3 wheels because I didn't have a TPMS seal kit for each rim but once I had it, they would do it. I already had one done without the new kit and it was fine and I really needed the rest done (as I am now on mixed tires) so I called Big O to see if they had this restriction. I gave them full disclosure of make, model, parts on hand (wheels and tires) and told them that I would just get the kits later if there was any leak and I would sign any kind of disclaimer not to hold them responsible. The gentleman on the phone at Big O was helpful and said he was certain they could work it out and fit me in that afternoon if I brought it all in. When I arrived, it was a different flavour. They were concerned about scratching the wheels and since I didn't buy the wheels or tires from them they were going to have to refuse me service. This would have been good to hear on the phone before driving from downtown Victoria. They weren't million dollar wheels and I just wanted their tire mounting and balancing service. If you're not buying tires and/or wheels from these guys then there is a good chance they won't serve you. That's fine, I guess, as long as they disclose that on the phone instead of dragging you out there to tell you no in person. There was no room for negotiation and no apparent desire to help someone out who needed to get back out on the road. On the upside, the technicians were all polite and friendly - it was the owner via phone that refused to help. Two stars deducted for refusing common service, one for waiting to tell me of the refusal till after I drove out there via an invitation.

Don't get alignment done here. No inspection on other parts such as ball joints before alignment is done. And my truck still pulled right. Went back and the guys says well if u drove over a pothole it can knock out your alignment. Started coming up with excuses as to why they wouldn't fix it. Waste of 100$ . Also had to bolts that were in the wrong place, told me it would be another 100$ if they were to move them. Rip off and bad job. Go somewhere else

Stay far away from this so called mechanic shop. I had three vehicles repaired by these guys through my business. There was extended warranties on these vehicles and was assured that most of the costs would be covered by the warranty company. Once the repairs were made, I was presented with a huge bill. They did not discuss the costs with me prior to doing the repairs and then just expected payment. Further, two of the trucks they repaired totally failed and cost me a few thousand dollars to repair again at another mechanic. They still have a truck of mine that I can’t get back because of this outstanding bill, and they had the audacity to negatively review my business because of this dispute. They are the main mechanic of a local car dealership that sold those vehicles, and I am a finance company that leases the vehicles out... the reason I ended up with the vehicles is because they broke down and the customers walked away. This is the company that did the so-called inspections on them... but they had major issues that went unnoticed. Absolutely shady behaviour. Commercial clients beware that these guys will try and tarnish your reputation with a one star review even if they are at fault. Stay far away from this company... they are terrible mechanics and even worse people to deal with.

Absolutely wonderful father son duo who run this. Had a safety inspection and full once over done on a used dodge Ram truck we purchased. They didnt rush talking to me and were friendly and honest.
