This Tires is classified in the category of Tire shop.
Went in to swap winter with summer tires. Despite how busy they were, the service was quick and efficient. Staff were courteous and professional. Will definitely be returning for future tire services.
I called early morning about my damaged tire to see if it can be replaced. Randy, was more than willing to help and make time to get the tire replaced. By midday I was out of the shop good to go with a new tire. Great shop and great service!
Super friendly and knowledge
Brutal customer service. Turned my wife away with a flat. 2:30 on a Friday. One car on the hoist. Too busy. When wife asked what she should do, rep said “not my problem”. Just bought 2 complete sets of tires there in 2019. “Not my tire shop” anymore.
I came in for the tire replacement on my BMW 530i. Staff was friendly and able to book me in at the same day I called. They used touchless tire mounting machine which won't damage your rims. Great work and please keep it up!
Had a screw in my tire. Fast and professional service.
The guy who I imagine is the owner was rude to me and every customer I heard him interact with. The context was admittedly a little chaotic, but it was just plain terrible service. (Another staff member that I talked was professional and courteous.) I asked for my car back before we found a way to get more signals crossed. So rude. Who needs that? Edit: The company replies to low star reviews posted here really capture what I mean. Same tone. Take a look. Edit 2, update based on reply: Firstly, I called in on Friday to see about making an appointment. I was told that the shop opens at Saturday 10am (website says 9) and that it was first come, first serve. In the reply here I’m asked to make an appointment next time. Which is it? Secondly, no one is blaming anyone or being sensitive. I had a problem that was uncommon to me and took it to people who are ostensibly familiar with it. I was told that I was literally in the way with my problem, with no suggestion for next course of action. So I got out of the way, went down the street and had my problem solved in 30 minutes. It’s that simple. Good riddance.
Wonderful efficient service. Even when there's a huge line, they help you out eventually. They are kind, understanding professionals, and I feel confident with their work.
Very unprofessional, emailed with a simple general enquiry about new tires and some other minor things, only to be made feel a fool in the replies with no desire to try and help. Will take my business elsewhere
Had a great experience here, technicians here are professional and efficient, they go very straight forward with you and get down to business, after just a cup of coffee time my flat tire is fixed and ready to roll! Wow! I found them by walking by the previous night. I was approached when I’m checking their hours outside of the building. One of the technicians greeted me and answered my questions. He made me feel that I was taken care of. Their pricing is very reasonable, my car dealer could easily trick me into replacing my both rear tires for $1000. Will definitely recommend this place to my family.
Wonderful service. The owner was super nice and helpful.
Small shop, friendly staff, no nonsense, just tires, honest prices
Where do I start. I had a weekend from hell. Lost my keys for my acura el in the middle of nowhere. Stranded by coldwater. Had to pay crazy off road tow fees, Hotels and 415 in mechanic fees (after we stupidly tried to hotwire it) to get back to vancouver to work. Now I have pretty well zero dollars...and still need a spare..not knowing that if I left my back door open and not my front my alarm would go off. So the alarm starts going off and itwont lwt me start it with the dam butterknife I'm using until I can afford a key. I'm bawling at this point. Im so stressed. I'm half a block from this shop though. So I try my luck and stroll over in tears. These gentleman and I regret notknowing thier names. Helped me get my car going so I can at least get around for a bit. Compassion goes such a long way in business and I'm so greatful. Out of the kindness of their hearts they helped me in a tough time and when I asked how I could pay them back he told me not to worry. I would come here with any future issues. Thank you. Thank you so very much. I cannot express how grateful I am to this company. The one gentleman who stayed to helpandthe manager who gave the go ahead to do so. Awesome folks.
Our 'bunny bus' (a mini-van) needed one hard-to-find cheap tire (and wheel) right before the first winter storm of the season, they really delivered. Very professional and pleasant!
They definitely got tires for sale here.
So impolite and keeps telling lies to change pice of your car. Even they don’t know what is wrong with the car???????? I have never seen manager like this so rode after 72 hours holding your car
Amazing service. Ordered our tires in quickly, installed within 30 mins, extremely polite and professional. To top it all off, I was given a lovely bottle of olive oil (from family's orchard in Australia) with the purchase of a set of tires.
Randy’s service is awesome. I really appreciate his professional skills and highly recommend this store. Canna Zhou
Great customer service.
Good service. I had the winter tires mounted in my car there. I had a little issue with tires' pressure after installation and I mentioned it here in.my Google review. Right after, they called me from Big O tires, apologizing for that and saying they would take a corrective action. That it's exactly what we, customers, expect: that the company shows commitment with customer's satisfaction. I got very happy receiving their call. Also, it was good to notice that our reviews on Google can make difference and help promoting improvements that will reach much more customers. :)
I booked an appointment for alignment, AC and an oil change. There was problems with my ball joints so I was advised to replace with new parts, and purchase new tires before doing the alignment. The AC was recharged and working great Oil change was done very fast. The staff is very friendly and seem transparent and trustworthy. I expressed some of my concerns about price(I am not well off) and I was given reasonable alternatives and explanations. So far great experience, will update if something changes =)
Quick service. No idea about charges. Feel bit expensive.
Helpful staff
Big O tires was had fast service, tires where already in stock. Patrick was very Helpful
Great after purchase service
Friendly and professional team. Only annoyance is that the entrance off Broadway can be a bit stacked up.
Really great service. The owner does great work and prices are reasonable!!!
Lots of communication about the status of the repair, which was great. Also, they helped me out with options for the best deal possible, and were very friendly. I will be using them again in the future.
I hit a curb and put a tear in the side wall of my tire and I thought for sure I would have to get a new tire. Randy managed to fit me into his hectic day and also managed to patch my tire saving me the hassel and cost of getting a new tire. He was extremely professional and efficient and did a great job. I will definitely be going back. Great experience
Needed a tire repair, they were quick fast and helpful and great customer service today. My dad needed a tire repair last year and came to this location, he was quite pleased with their service. Which is why I came back. You wont be disappointed. While I was paying for tire repair, I was talking to the gentleman about our driver side window wondered if they fix that as well otherwise we were on our way to another mechanic, thankfully the gentlemen said why yes we do, let's take a look. The mechanic came back with actual part costs, options and he was also able to fix today. Again great place and people that work here, they give you straight forward answers not vague answers or options. Prior I've called a few places and they couldn't give straight answers or costs or had time, I didnt feel comfortable going to those places or trusting them. BUT This place Big Ol Tires made our day by being amazing, helpful, straightforward and most of all was able to help us with a reasonable cost as well. I will forsure go back if I need any repairs done or to buy tires from this place, hard to find places like this when you need emergency repairs done.
Fast, friendly service. They were able to get me in the same day to repair a leaky tire.
Honest, professional and great at what they do! They were able to help me out significantly and efficiently. Will definitely be returning here for my future needs and I recommend you do the same. Thanks Big O!
Very efficient, and good service
I went there this morning, first come first serve, no need for appointment. Those guys are sooo efficient, my tires were changed in half an hour. They also offer storage for tires, $80 per season, reasonable price. Highly recommend!
Efficient
They found and brought in great winter tires and steel rims in a very hard to find size during a snowstorm at a great price. I couldn't be happier with the product or service I received.
inexpensive for a tire change, usually has great prices for tirers
Excellent service! Speedy installation!!
Nov 12, 2021 I had the worst customer service experience of my life today at Big O Tires on W. Broadway. To provide some context, earlier in the week I brought my car in to get my winter tires installed, which they did without a hitch. However, the next day one of the tires was flat so I stopped by their shop to have them take a look. They didn’t have space to put the car up to examine the tire so they filled the tire with air and said to come back in the morning if the tire went flat again (actually the day after due to the next morning being a holiday and they were closed). The tire indeed went flat overnight and I had to get it towed to the Big O shop on the holiday. I wasn’t with the tow truck when they delivered the car to the shop, so I didn’t see where they left it, which happened to be to the right of one of their parking garage entrances. When I arrived this morning at the shop I saw that my car was “first in line” as it was closest to the garage doors; however, it wasn’t directly in front of the garage door, and it needed to be moved so that the tire racks could be relocated outside. It was at this point that I heard several employees start cursing (F* this, F*that) and when I explained why my car was not located directly in front of the garage door because that’s where the tow truck left it, they (at least two of the employees) shouted with invective and further expletives (“…Move your F*ng car!!”). After this tirade of verbal abuse, the driver of the car parked next to (and slightly behind) me generously offered to move his car back so that I could go in front of him (after hearing me say that I had the car towed there the day before). As he started moving his car back and I began repositioning my car, one of the employees lashed out again with “move your f*ng car!” even though it was obvious that we were in the process of rearranging vehicles. Once the car was in the garage, I was served by a more respectable employee who explained why the tire was losing air and what was necessary to repair it. All in all, I have never encountered such unprofessional and debased communication from employees of a public business toward a customer. If this encounter had been videorecorded and posted on social media I can say with confidence that it would have been shocking and appalling to anyone with decency. Needless to say, I will never be returning to Big O tire shops again!
They tried to scam me. Told me my brakes and rotors were worn out as well. I went to Kingsway Brake and Muffler down the road to double check this and was told my brakes and rotors were just fine. Id get everything they say in writing before committing. Pay with credit card so you can dispute your transaction if any issue occurs.
If you need snow tires, this is the place to go! I got my tires ordered and done without any problems. Tran and his team did a fantastic job!
I had a flat tire while working. I put the temporary fluid inside and accidentally found this shop. The team worked on my tire, couldn't find the tear/hole, took apart the tire, searched again and put everything back together. They did not charge me a penny! Just advised me to be careful and wished me good luck. I am so satisfied, I'm almost hoping I get a flay tire to go back for their service!!
Total professionals! All they do is tires and do it well. Changed to my snow tires in 30 minutes and cost $44.80. Thanks guys
Great service and very quick turnaround. Highly recommended.
Good service. They are good about answering the phone and helping you understand what you need for tire’s. their location is convenient to get to and their prices are fair.
Randy at big o saved me . After such a great experience I was not surprised to see such great google ratings online. He could have taken me to the cleaners as I would have paid being in a desperate situation but he saved me close to 2,000. I even left him some old tires he is consigning for me now and he even told me he would get me more for them after I low balled myself! I am a customer for like now even though I have to take a longer drive there from home.
my daughter had side wall tire leak ,fountain tire could not fix ,well they did and will be getting my business for new tires in the future. honest advice , my daughter is a single young mom ,sure appreciate the help .
These guys will tell you that your tires are worn out when they are not to sell you a new set
Much better than Kia Vancouver and Canadian Tire!!!! Fixed a minor issue quickly with a fair amount. They could ask a bit less though, but compared to other places, I am happy!
I am very, very impressed with the service I received this morning. Came in with a bent rim, they fixed it and repatched my tire and I was out of there within 35 mins. I was waiting to see how bad the cost would be and was surprised to find that the price was quite reasonable! Very professional and friendly. I will definitely be coming back for additional tire services.
Always go here for tire changes and new tires. Friendly crew.
Just make sure to get in writing everything you want done to your vehicle. I had an experience where I left my vehicle for just a brake check but they changed all of my brakes without my permission. This was around the holidays as well which made it very difficult for me financially. I just don't want this to happen to others and recommend being very careful and again, get everything in writing.
Great service!! I phoned in the morning, they just needed an etransfer to order my tire sizes, which was fair, and they did them that afternoon! It only took about 30 minutes and the worker was very friendly and helpful. Will be coming back!
Honest and helpful. Got here a few minutes to closing and they were kind enough to help me out with my flat. Will use them again.
Honest. Professional. Great service.
Great service and great rates! :) will always highly recommend
It's a great place to be! Our Dealer approved service center can handle all of your needs and save you money. Customer satisfaction has been the cornerstone of our business since it was founded by my father 48 years ago. Thank you for your business Vancouver!
SIDE WALL repaired!! I tried everywhere and got turned down till I stumbled upon this place. Ironically, I didn't see their sign and went in asking them to remove the tire for me.(because I decided to do the repair myself) Randy asked me if I wanted to keep the tire so I told him yeah, I want to fix it myself since nobody will repair sidewall damage. He looks at me with a smile and asked me if I saw their sign eyeing towards the window. My face lit up with heavenly angels striking the chord. Did I ever luck out. Thanks guys! They took my tire right away and I was out after a short wait. Everyone was really nice. I'd definitely go back again.
These guys are fair.
Got one of my tire patch a hole and would cost me 90$ . Compared to other places was $50 for Tesla . Very over priced shop
Went to get my tire patched. Randy was friendly but service was slow and he kept telling me to wait even though i came at the time he had told me to. 1hr and 20mins to fix my tire because there was only him in the shop. Not sure of it is every day like a one man show but he fixed the tire picked up the calls and processed the payments.
They have come to my rescue twice in the last month for screws in my tires. Also have swapped out my all season for winter tires & vice versa in the past. Always do a great job & always professional!! Thank you!!
Randy was very friendly and honest. Very happy with the service and work.
Never speak to a customer with an angry voice.
This shop was a 10 star rating, got new tires and the changeover time was less than 30 minutes. I must say... the staff are fast, hard working, and professional. Thanks, Big-O West Broadway!
These fellows are awesome. Great service, fast and efficient. Highly recommend this place if you need tires for sure and I am going to use them for a tune up soon
I managed to wreck a tire with no hope of repair. I spent hours searching and on the phone trying to find a replacement tire. I was delusional enough to think I would only need one new tire. To Big O’s credit they gently suggested that given my tires had done 50,000KM that I should replace both front tires. They got me checked in the same day. The change took less than an hour. During this time I got several calls to discuss changes. All positive. Great customer service.
Best tire shop in town in my opinion. They only deal with tires and they have a crew that works like a Pitt stop crew at a NASCAR race. It's like a production line. Cars are lined up and they come in, hoisted, guys are working on all tires taking them off and doing what they need to do...in and out in a flash. I come in for change overs and it's all the same price no matter what size or custom wheels. Update. Didn’t know this place changed ownership....hmmmm not as good anymore .
This shop is awesome, great customer service. Went far and beyond to get the results we needed. Quick and reliable, general Tire repair, fixed my window. Great to talk with, relatable and genuine work. Thanks guys. Tony, your the man with the window work. Good job.
Randy is fantastic, will definitely be recommending this shop to family and friends.
Impressed with service and overall experience. Great place and friendly staff.
Excellent service, great workmanship. Owner is very involved and runs a tight ship, friendly staff. They'll do work like patching up your tires from a puncture that larger franchised/ "brand name" tire shops refuse to do - since those places prioritise up-selling you a set of new tires instead of repairing a perfectly fine one. Happy to have come across small shop like this that puts customers ahead of profit. Support the local businesses !!
Expensive labour. The guys in the shop were great. The manager, Patrick, that was on shift gave terrible service and was unhelpful at best.
Fast and friendly service, at a very reasonable price. Went in with a nail in my tire, and was home with a fixed tire in under an hour. Highly recommend!
I've come to Big O several times. Mostly due to flat tires and repairs but I've also thought about purchasing tires here. The only reason I haven't purchased tires here is because I've ended up finding sets of used tires for my car for much cheaper than sets of new tires. Staff here, especially the owner/manager and Steve, both are very friendly, knowledgeable and fair.
I called today to see about getting my winter tires put on and was told first come first serve. I was helped quickly and told it would be 1-2 hours. So I went to relax and have a bite to eat and all was good when I returned! I really appreciated it as there were long waits of days at other places. Thank you all at Big O Tires on West Broadway. I will be back for a new set of tires in the Spring (- :
Amazingly caring team and owner. They will take care of your vehicle the same way they take care of their clientele. This may be my new home for vehicle repairs for the next little while. Thank you.
They fit me in just before closing on a long weekend for a last minute tire repair (removed a screw) No plug required. No charge! Very impressed. Thank you!
Helpful, reasonable and efficient. I've been here a couple of times and have had a good experience. I found Randy and his team to be professional and fair and I will use them again.
Honest place to get all work done with your car. I highly recommend this location for all of your car needs.
These guys are pretty awesome and helpful. I have been going to them for new tires and repairing old ones for many years. They are usually busy but hardly any wait as they are pretty fast and efficient.
Fast, efficient service. Answered quote online within 24 hours. The ONLY certified sidewall repair centre in Vancouver. Repaired tire "like it never happened" - within an hour!
The owner has super helpful and nice, and I'm definitely going back to them next season. I could tell he was stressed one day, but he never was rude. When he finally had a moment of reprieve to chat me through getting some tires, he was super attentive and nice! I think more compassion is needed for everyone providing essential services through this time, I can't imagine what it would be like to face an onslaught of feisty, bored, stressed-out customers that demand things operate as if there isn't a global pandemic going on. I had a great experience and would recommend going here for sure.
Proper service! Was expecting to replace a tire. Turns out a bent rim (under 20 dollars!) Once the tires are due for replacing, will come here.
Friendly, helpful knowledgable staff.
Quick, helpful and pleasant service.
Solid shop. Friendly, fast and reasonably priced.
Great guys and very friendly
The owner (it seems) was strangely rude from the moment I pulled up my car. I wouldn't bother posting a review, but his rudeness was bizarre as there was no basis for it. Here's literally how it went when I pulled up my car: The Owner: "You can't park here"/ Me: "OK, where should I park?"/ "In a parking spot"/ "Is there a space somewhere?"/ "Wherever you find one." Okay... Well I should have left at that point, but just then a lady left a parking stall and I just decided to park. A very friendly mechanic got out and took in my leaky tire and brought it in, and told me to wait in the front office. The owner (who apparently was the front office guy) saw me go in. I thought he would come speak to me. About 5 minutes later I rang the buzzer. No one came. Finally the guy came out, spoke with a woman who was sitting there, saw me, said nothing, and went back to the garage. I thought the fellow as going to come out and let me know what was going on, or how long I'd have to wait. Another 5 minutes passed, so I rang the buzzer again. This time the guy comes out and says: "Look, if I need to tell you something, I'll come out and tell you!"... I mean what the... This guy really seems to have some issues. So I basically told him that I wanted to see if they were working on my tire yet, and if not, what was the time-frame for waiting, so that I know if I should go back to work or not. So here is this guy I don't know who is expressing extreme unfriendliness and animosity towards his potential customer for no reason other than the customer wants to speak to someone- Not repeatedly- but the first time, to ask how long it will take, or how much it will cost. Eventually I was told the repair would cost maybe several hundred dollars. Well, I just took my tire, gave the mechanic a tip for his effort, and left. I feel for the mechanic to work for such a person. I honestly don't know where the positive reviews are coming from. Either these reviewers only met the mechanics or are maybe relatives and friends of the owner. Holy God, the guy was so rude it would have been funny if I wasn't the one waiting around.
Danger don't take your car tire flat to this shop. This place states they are the only Contintial Warranty service provider that can fix Tread side wall. Contintial tire company did NOT approve this shop . If this shop patches your tire your warranty is Nill and void.! Warning !.
Seemed overpriced. Quoted $40 for simple nail repair on a tire worth less than that.
Excellent advice, prompt and polite service and saved a bundle thanks to an honest work ethic .Will not hesitate to return in the future regardless of the drive across town.Thank you so much,Randy.
Personally i wont go there again.. Thats all i have to say about it .
I have a Mercedes, and went to the Big O on Broadway hoping to save a few bucks on a set of tires. Got great ties for a great price. That was a year ago. Now I needed a new set of wheel because of curb rash, so I drove to see them and they came up with a better solution so I wouldn't have to downgrade the quality of my mercedes wheels. These guys are straight up!! The do not ry to rip you off and seem to put customer satisfaction ahead of money. See these fellows if you have tire problems!
I've gone to these guys a few times, each time has been pretty sketchy. I wouldn't go back. Update: I'll explain why I gave a 1 star. First visit I came to buy tires, that was all good but then you say my brake line is leaking and I need to change it immediately. I never got it fixed and a year later I come back to get my brakes checked and you never mention my brake line leaking so it clearly wasn't leaking in the first place. Then I come again another time to get a wheel alignment and I'm told I need to replace my struts first which would be $1000+. I don't get it done but I have to pay a $100+ fee for them to tell me I cant get a wheel alignment done. I was okay with the fee until I recently noticed there's a big sign at the front that says free wheel alignment checks. I then went to Midas to get the wheel alignment and they do it no problem. I don't know what any of this has to do with my parking.
more like Big A-hole tires. I took my car in to get my winter tires swapped which are already mounted on the rims. This was the 4th year in a row that I took it to OK. I'm waiting and the mechanic comes out and tells me he can't take the tires off because one of the lug nuts was misthreaded. His tone was rude and he used foul language before I said a word. It was extremely unprofessional. I responded with, you're a tire shop, can't you simply break the lug and replace it? They tell me no. I explain that they put the tires on my car 2 months previous and that the tires have not been removed since. They should fix it or send me to a shop that does. The manager offers to do NOTHING. He tells me I cant prove that his shop misthreaded the lug nut and to be on my way. He doesn't offer to send me to a shop that can give me a discount or fix the problem that their mechanic caused. He doesn't even offer an "im sorry for your trouble or misfortune". Im writing this today because I need to buy tires. Can you guess which shop Im NOT going to?
Called in for help 2 days ago with my punctured tire and Randy informed me that he is fully booked BUT he asked me to come in the morning the following day to squeeze me in. We were informed that it will take at least an hour or so for the job to get done. They delivered, adjusted all of my tire pressure as well w/o being asked. Would definitely go back for any tire situation
Always friendly and fair, but you might wait a while... The word about them is out, so they're usually busy bees.
I bought new tires there last year and one went flat. They repaired it for free while I watched TV, hung out on the comfy couches and had complimentary coffee and bottled water in the lounge. Was perfect.
The guy there (who is probably the manager) is probably either impolite or has mental issues. Don't go there unless you really need to
I dropped by without an appointment and close to their closing time due to an emergency tire issue but they were very friendly and accommodating. They got the job done in no time and very honest with their services.
Quick tire change!
Best place for your tire service! thanks Randy, super nice and professional! PS: donot forget to make an appointment before you go!
Super fast service. Very good and friendly.
Twice I've relied on BIGO and twice I have been satisfied
Rushed to get to the shop before closing time after talking to the owner, clearly knowing I was coming. Was there 5 minutes early and was told by the shop tech he'd already left. My tire was sitting on the floor and there was nothing he could do. Convinced the tech to call the owner cell (thanks man!) and sorted it out. Crappy way to run a business and treat your cusotmers. Will not be returning.
Fast & friendly service. They're also the only location in BC to repair sidewall tire punctures. Will definitely go here again.
Have had 3 tires patched here at various times (never the same tire) and they always do a great job. They're always happy to help or give advice even if it's a service they don't provide. 5 star service gets a five star review.
I’ll definitely recommend Steve if you’re looking to get new tires at this location. He’s patient and decent. He gave an accurate approximation on installation time and he also explains to me how to apply tires rebates. Keep up the good work
Great experience and good normal prices. Strongly Recommend.
Im a student and I don't have too much money, this place saved me at least $150 on a pair of tires. yes they are second hand tires but they are good nevertheless. Really nice guys. Fast service and excellent prices! I would highly recommended going here.
Two thumbs up!
Super friendly crew and loads of tire brands and models to choose from. Smooth install. Get there early in the Fall for your snow tire change over as they get BUSY once it gets cold outside and they don't take appointments.
Nice guys and good service! Thanks for putting my all-season tires on :)
This place is my go-to for tires or tire repairs. The staff give excellent service and are quick, yet thorough. I also got a great deal on my winter tires too.
The Mechanic and the Staff are not really helpful, lots of hidden and surprises. I paid for new parts but they installed the old ones. Dont go here it will ruin your day. They say they'll close at 5:30pm but the workshop is very busy until 11pm everyday with lots of cars and people could be mechanics personal clients , I dont know if the owner knows about the mechanic's extra activities at night after 5:30. I live nearby.
Fast, Efficient and Friendly service- all at very reasonable cost!
Had a great experience here. Randy was super helpful over the phone and email. Got the best price in town and the quickest seamless service I’ve ever had in the auto industry. Love my new tires and would recommend this shop!
Excellent service, went it for a tire repair. Didn't have to wait long, sat through it in my car.
Great for car newbies with little to no knowledge of fixing cars. These guys were very accomodating! Very easy to book appointments. No nonsense, direct to the point and even willing to give out professional advice for free. They work fast too! Talk to Steve or Randy for efficient admin work. They were polite and no veiled condescending comments unlike other shops that I've encountered. They had an emergency repair going on for my first appointment and couldnt get my job started and was not able to call me to let them know. But when I rolled in Steve gave me a sweet deal as compensation instead. And on my second appointment Randy honored that deal even though Steve wasn't there confirm it for me also he made sure to make me stick my new insurance sticker on my plate before driving off (so I dont get fined), if that's not above-and-beyond-customer service, I dont know what is. Shout out to Tony who actually did the work on my car.
I came here a few weeks ago and Steve went above and beyond to get me the tires I needed in a timely fashion. Efficient and friendly service :)
Very impressed with their service. They unmounted and checked my ailing tire, showed me why it wasn't reparable, and provided quotes for new tires (with no sales pressure). Put my spare tire on and sent me off... no charge!
Again, a "big shout out" to the mechanics at Big O Tire on Kingsway, they are simply the best, thankyou Steve for your prompt, and always courteous service, I always know my car is in good hands with you guys. Fast, efficient and the best place to take your vehicle when you need the jib done right. J.Huberman
I am a repeat customer and I find the service to be prompt and thorough. Patrick was outstanding. Recommend.
Owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Gave me many useful tips. Recommended!
I want to thank Randy and his staff for the awesome tires and alignment. I can't believe the difference from my old Pirrelli's to the new BFG Force Comp-2 AS Sport tires. It feels like a brand new car now. Great prices and even better service. JOB WELL DONE THANKS RANDY!!
To preface: I only decided to pay Big O Broadway a visit, due to a cordial reply I received to an inquiry. It was actually quite welcoming and insightful so I do thank the management for that. 'Ye Olde Drive-Thru Tire Shop" There should really be a sign outside that says 'Abandon all hope, all ye who enter', unless you drive a base model Kia or Toyota matrix with the basic stock specs for balloon tires and winter mode, (which they'd probably upsell you on regardless) this 'merry' gang of chaps will only attend to the tire specs that they know, anything else they are righteously clueless about or would rather banish from existence. Weirdly enough even my OEM factory specifications were rejected. "NO, THOSE WON'T FIT" A resounding bellow told me all I needed to know about this hole in the walls "guarantee to customers". Never in my days of automotive modification have I heard such a resentment towards a tried and true wheel specification, let alone the lack of enthusiasm to even want my coin. What irked me the most was the absolute dismissal of my knowledge of the specifications I had planned for, and the many examples of setups I could dig up for reference. They decided it would be well worth their time to blather on about their skepticism for how the tires "wouldn't fit" when a simple google search of the specifications on the exact same wheels render countless imagery of the exact setup working. Clearance isn't rocket science, it's simply understanding the rotational diameter in relation to the fender, of which I had a grand canyon's depth of clearance. "TRY A DIFFERENT TIRE SHOP" Usually if you have a customer on hand, it's up to you to make them feel welcome and or listened to, and neither of those were addressed in my brief time there. 1. Order a set of tires that they deemed would fit 2. Reschedule, once said tires are ordered. I had a much more pleasing and smooth experience with 1010 tires SE Marine Drive and their decades ahead tools and helpful attitude. They found a new set and ordered it in an instant without any qualms or needless inquisition about fitment. PLEASE READ: Covid Protocols were NOT followed, whether you believe in this pandemic or not it's important to follow the nationwide business protocol that requires all employees to wear a mask during hours of operation and all the more reason to, while interacting in close proximity to customers. Though I do understand how it can be hard to work with a mask on especially during physical exertion, at least wear one when you're interacting with customers. Thanks for letting me roll through, but that's really just about all that was accomplished.
Fast and friendly service, but quite expensive. I picked up a screw in my tire, took the rim off myself and brought it in for a patch. $40! Maybe I'm just not used to West Broadway prices but damn, $40 for 6 minutes of work and a $0.50 patch.
Looking for a set of new tires for my S-class. Going to avoid BigOtires. Decided o take a moment and leave my feedback. About three years ago was replacing tires on BigO on Edmonds St in Burnaby. Looks like this facility doesn;t exist any more. Well< they managed to scratch all four rims on my Mercedes ML. Probably scratching one rim wasn't enough for installer satisfaction, so they decided to scratch all four. Regards. Will buy and change tires somewhere else. Just, if you don't mind, will check what you have in stock and buy same from competitor.
My first time here to swap winter tires. Customer service was nice. I left my key to reach my other appointment and came back with the job done and read to go. They charged same as the quote they already gave me.
Patrick & his father we’re very helpful finding the last Yokohama tire in my oddball size in Canada saving me 4 new. Very reputable & knowledgeable service technicians! Thanks very much
Requested a quote late at night online and got an email the next morning first thing. They were able to get me in that same day which was awesome considering its the busy season and close to the holidays. I found it strange that they didn't try to up sell me on anything or make any recommendations of things that i might need, but i prefer that to a store being pushy about an up sell. Overall very satisfied.
nice to have a professional shop like this one. they are fast, efficient and HONEST. thank you.
Friendly service with decent prices. They'll actually tell me no, don't need XYZ service if I don't need them. Recommend everyone I know to them.
Came in for a repair they were super busy I waited and got the job.
We were told by 2 different tire shops that they couldn’t fix our tire, and we would have to put on a new one. Big O fixed it for us the same day and saved us about $250.
Initial impression…great service. Had my tires changed over quickly by friendly staff. In and out However, next day I had an error message regarding the tire pressure sensors. I googled how to reset and an electronic tool is required. Back I go to Big O. It was suggested I google how to reset, which I assured the service tech I had. I was told if they needed to use the relearn tool, they would have to charge me…and I should figure out how to reset myself to save me money Frustrated, I left. Stopped by Kal Tire on my way home…less than 5 minutes to reset…no charge Big O comes up short on complete tire service.
BigOTires on.Kingsway is always my go too with my car. Customer Service at its best, they have always given me great service and advice. Take my Lexus in there for all my tune ups and most recently for my new tires. The Manager there ( Randy ) and his team are efficient, fast and alway explain what they have done, best of all never any "hidden" charges you tend to.get with most mechanic! I would definately reccomend BigOTires to anyone looking for Service with top quality!
Great honest service! Recommend to friends and family. Shopped around and give good rates.
I came in on a sunny afternoon a few weeks ago to beat the Winter rush on tires. Good deal on my All weather Maxis AP2 tires (recommended by Steve) and fast, efficient service!
Big ups to Steve! Service was prompt and straight-forward. Came here to patch up a tire which was done quick and efficient. Price was reasonable too.
Ordered a new set of rims to install onto my car and brought it in over the weekend to get them on. There was a small hiccup due to a communication error, but Steve went above & beyond to find a solution and was willing to work past closing to ensure that I was able to go home with my car. I appreciate the awesome customer service and how helpful he was.
My experience with this tire shop has just been terrible all around. Initially, I was going in to repair my tire because I got a nail in my tire and the repairman told me to just wait as he was busy. There was no other cars in the shop at the moment which made me even more impatient because I didn't know what I was waiting for as he disappeared for an hour. I was already feeling very suspicious as his attitude towards me was very angry right from the start. After waiting an hour I finally got my turn and I gave him the keys. The car was returned and there was CLEARLY damage on the right rear bumper that was scratched. When I asked him he angrily screams back at me telling me that the damage from my own doing before the car was brought there. I was so mad at that point all I wanted to do was pay and leave, but he charged me $110.00 on a basic tire repair and then held my keys hostage until I was willing to pay and there was no way for me to dispute this price. This place is a highway robbery with wrongful business views. EVERYONE PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
Good and fast service. Fair price.
Great service! I got winter tires on my SUV.
Good friendly service. Didn't try and sell me a new set of tires, repaired a puncture. Let me know how long it would take as soon as I arrived.
I was calling around for quotes on a new set of tires. I found their price to be reasonable and the staff friendly. I was given much higher quotes from less friendly tire shops. I went for it based on that experience. They did a great job on the install and i went back a week later for the allignment. Will go back again.
I got a nail in my tire and took it to Kal Tire where I have been buying tires for many years. They told me it would be 10 days before they could look at it. Went to Big O on W Broadway. They looked at it and said the nail was too close to the side wall to be repaired. I decided to put on my snow tires and brought them back the next morning. Even though it is the busy season it only took about 1 hr. Very professional and friendly staff. Will be back in the spring to buy new summer tires, Thanks for the great service. E. Hansen
Awesome quality of work and punctual, had my run flat tire repaired here and the nail was in the sidewall. The receipt says warranty for the life of the tire! Who else offers that?! Been here once before to buy 35" Toyo MT tires for my truck, in both instances I was treated with friendly staff and unrivaled service. Will def reccomend to friends and family.
Good and reasonable price and quick service
First time going to Big O tire for buy 4 x new All-weather M&S tires. I called Big O Tires to get the quote with the size tire which was in my CRV and I also had quote from another tire company. They give me better price then another Tire company, so I decided to go this Big O tires. Later I got call from Big O tires telling me to confirm that tires size was little different. We came to the agreement with was recommended size, at that moment I asked twice if the tire price will change to make sure and I was told the price will be same and I need to pay $100 deposit non-refundable. Since the price was bit cheaper than other tire company and close to my place and I was happy to book appointment to get new tires and paid $100 deposit as well. Once I got at the Big O Tires, they told be more then what I was quoted over the phone. So, I told the them that you confirm over the phone twice that the price will be same and was told they did not know what I was talking about. I was upset but did not say anything since I already paid $100 non-refundable deposit and left with no choice and did not say anything at the time as I needed tires. I still like to get my difference back I will be happy to talk to someone high level management person. I will also see if I can address to the head of Big O Tires later. I like to say this to the person if someone did same thing to you how will you feel about this. Just think for a sec. I learned my lesson that never get any quote over the phone. Get the quote on paper so that there no issues after. I had bad experience with Big O Tires and disappointed with the price issue I had. Just need to more careful for next.
Had a good experience here. Thanks so much for your good service, definitely recommend my friends.
Good service, good price
They offer best service, best price and quality products. They know what they are doing and do it well.
Super friendly staff and fast service. I drove in without an appointment and they replaced my tires in 20 minutes.
AWESOME service from Randy & Mechanic Tran, great to know I have a reliable mechanic SO close to home. Will be recommending these guys to all my co-workers @ Kodak...Cheers guys and THANX
Had a leak in my tire late in the day - despite being very busy they had me come by and had the tire fixed within the hour. I greatly appreciated their prompt help which made a bad day turn out ok.
$40 for a flat repair - they charge an arm and a leg. Check for prices and compare before spending a penny here.
Always good and knowledgeable service and willing to work with you to get something that fits your needs and price. Easily the best tire place in Point Grey and usually cheaper prices than most stores in the city. I've been buying tires here for 10+ years and will continue to do so as long as they are open.
Horrible pricing, don't buy from these crooks; any place will give you a better price than this pretentiously "friendly" shop. Check Costco, 1010tires, kal tire, midas, ok tire, fountain tire, etc, specially costco. Read negative reviews from lower down as well; some of those instances happend to me too.
Found a huge bolt in my back driver side tire on a relatively new set of tires. Called ahead and Pat said, no appointment needed. Popped down and drove right in and was all fixed and ready to go in about 15 minutes and affordable. Very pleased.
Alright.
I had a flat tire repaired here. The next week the same tire was flat. I thought maybe their repair had failed, but it turned out there was a second screw in the tire. They repaired the second hole and only charged me the $20 they would have had they repaired the second hole on the first visit. I thought this was fair and reasonable considering there was no way of knowing when the second screw punctured the tire. I would use them again for flat repair. They were courteous and honest.
Had a flat, changed the tire, and dropped it off to get it fixed after work. Everything was done quickly, smoothly, and professionally. I really appreciated that they were on point in this emergency even when busy. Will definitely come here for future car issues.
Called to have a flat tire repaired. They were able to schedule me within the next hour. The tire was repaired and balanced within 20 minutes at a reasonable price. They were too busy to chit chat, but their service was friendly and efficient. Randy and Tony thanks for the fast repair!
Very happy for the work done on my car! Quick balancing of the tires, resulting in no more shacking! Thank you for your kindness and good service
Great Service and ordered me the tire i wanted. Service is professional and owner has great knowledge on tires! Explained things clearly and had the best price.
Been coming here for the past 8 years. Great tire guys especially when it comes to services such as: tire repair (never paid over $40), rotations and balance, and changing. Never been back to BMW for my tire needs after my first visit!
I called in the morning about an appointment. They said "first come first serve" so I loaded my tires and headed down there. There was no parking so I went in and they said park on the street and wait in your truck. Might be 1/2 hour wait just to get in the lineup. Treated me like a pariah. A Zero on the customer service.
Rude, Over priced, and disrespectful, and I was dealing with the owner! I was talking repairs, there's nothing wrong with any of my tires. but as everyone reads this they will be able to read into your response and see the rudeness and disrespect you give customers
Ownership changed in Fall 2017 but service is still great. These guys won’t suggest new tires unless your current set is unsafe. Very trustworthy and professional.
Much better than OK Tires on West 3rd. Honest friendly staff, much more reasonable in price and while they should serve free coffee though. Oh, the machine they use wouldn't scratch up your wheels, supposedly better than the Hunter Road Force?
I was disappointed with my Big O Tire experience. I called ahead about getting my snow tires put on and was told to show up before 2. I was there before 1 and waited until 2:15 to be seen. People who arrived after me were serviced first because of the way the lines were set up. When they finally got to me they told me they were unable to change my tires because the security lock adaptor was too stripped. They also suggested that I should have come midweek instead of on a Saturday. I left without getting my tires changed after waiting almost 1.5hrs (with two young kids in the car) and having them spend 2min on my car. I took my car to a friend and within 5 min he and another person were able to loosen all the security bolts using my adaptor and a tire lever. No special tools. The folks at Big O Tires made little to no effort to assist me and I wasted a huge amount of time at their store. I will not be returning.
Great service from a staff that has been here for many years. Hope it continues with the new owner.
Busy place. First come first serve, but great customer service!!! with reasonable price. Definitely worth waiting. I definitely visit this place again for my next tire change. Special shout out to Rick!
Was very impressed with how personable all of the staff is. They were very accommodating and professional. They had my tire (not very common) in their warehouse and delivered within a couple of hours. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a tire replacement. A very big thank you for your help with everything and for offering for me to pull around back and have my tire changed in the rain to speed the process up because your shop was full. Cheers, Steve
Great service, great price. I had called or visited 5 different stores looking for tires. Surprisingly even compared to Costco and another "wholesaler" Big O was the cheapest. Fast quick service. Randy was upfront and told me that usually it takes 1hr to install but my larger sport tires would take 1.5hrs. The shop was busy, seemed like a lot of repeat customers. Highly recommend.
Worst customer service ever. Owner is rude and greedy do not take your vehicle there
I worked at Big O tire. The guys there know what there doing. The shop there may take there time but they now what there doing.
Fast service, but really expensive. A tiny patch they are asking for $50. Didn’t give me quote before but ask for this amount after. Feel sad they charged twice amount than other store.
The person who was at the desk was rude and pushy. When i did not buy two tires as he suggested instead of the one needed as it was punctured by a screw he got more rude, Then got extremely rude when i asked about warranty and he laughed and said not if you buy one. Not sure how this makes a difference. I am sure i will not be back!
I tried three times to get my Tieres changed here, but there was always a two hour wait... I booked an appointment elsewhere.
My mother in law purchases from big old tire .they gave her free tire rotations and punture service free.i also purchased tires from them for my lexus 400h. I asked to confirmed i get the same coverage , the employee say yes to all my coverage.) I went back today to get my 1st tire rotations and puncture nails. They charged me 35$ . They told me its not written in the system. I felt its not the right way to do business . Its not the way to do business. They need to be honest.especially a big franchise like them...i was planning to fix my brakes / muffler etc there......never again ....unbelievable. i am not being cheap. Its the principle. I will take it to costco for free 5 years tire rotation /free punture nail services too. Its the worse experiences of my life at big o tire ......i hate writing reviews and i suck at it but i am very pissed off at this moment. Its wrong to treat your customer this way. It would be nice if they're abit more friendly. Example like listened to what the customer wants to say first, instead of saying lusten to what they're going to say. Felt like lack of respect. I am truly sorry for writting this negative comments.
Talked me out of spending $500 there to install a set of used snow tires. Looked like good tires for a reasonable price which they had there on consignment. And they were very flexible with my appointment. But then when I expressed some doubt as to whether we actually needed these tires, Steve insisted my current all-seasons were in good condition, would be very sufficient for the type of driving our car sees, and suggested that I NOT go ahead with the sale & install. This is a level of honesty I am not used to seeing. I HIGHLY recommend these guys!!
Excellent service. People is very knowledgeable and trustworthy
Overall service was fine but the price was not accurate. First I was quoted a 100 dollar rebate on Goodyear tires. Only after I paid I learned you had to upload a copy of your reciept to the website and they send you a 100 dollar prepaid Visa according to the guy in the shop. Once I entered all my info on the website I was told by the website the rebate was 50 dollars. Not impressed and felt like a bit of a bait and switch situation. Also I have no idea what the owner below me is talking about. I experienced no profanity at the shop and did not go in for a cracked rim. I think they might have meant that reply for a different comment.
Big O Tires Kingsway staff are professional , helpful and very fair and honest. Thank you for your good service and quality.
Had a super bizarre experience here. After some unexpected delays working on my alignment, the shop needed to keep my vehicle overnight, which was fine. I was happy with their communication. But during the night, two people crawled into the back of my truck canopy where they were found sleeping by the shop owner the following morning. My issue isn't with the two vulnerable people who needed a place to sleep, especially because I had left the canopy unlocked and the shop left it parked outside. My issue is with the owner who didn't tell me this had happened. The only reason I found out was that there was a ton of trash in the back of the truck. When I confronted them about the trash, mistakenly blaming their technician, the owner admitted to finding the two people that morning and that he had "forgotten" about it. Big O tires still hadn't finished the alignment so I just left and took my truck to another shop where I was quickly informed that an alignment should never have been done before first replacing some very worn front end components, something that Big O tires hadn't made any mention of. Will not be coming back to Big O Tires Kingsway.
The service at Big O Tires is over and above! I had a flat, and luckily was parked only about a block down the road from Big O. I could hear the air hissing out of my tire, and realized that I only had minutes to react or would have been in a real bind. I ran over to Big O, and even though they were closed, Steve was able to fit me in and fix my flat without question. Thanks for saving my night from disaster , and for being so accommodating! Great service!!!
Great service, the owner is super nice and honest.
Pat and the guys at Big O helped me out Big Time today . Thank you, Raymond
Went in today to have my winter/summer tires swapped. Originally went to Mr Lube and was informed it was $80.00 for this service. Kal tire across the street was $40.00 however booked solid. Called Big O on Broadway was informed they could do the change over and just show up its first come first served quoted around $50.00. Showed up change over was done in a little over an hour and price was $40.00 plus tax. Owner Rick and his staff are very personable, friendly and efficient. Highly recommend and will return for future service. Thanks for the lost art of customer service.
Took my appointment in on a Saturday when I'm sure they didn't need to, friendly and fast service. Fair prices. Happy with my visit
Great service from Randy!! Made a same day appointment to fix a flat tire and even tho he seemed incredibly busy, randy was very professional, polite and did the job quickly, at a very reasonable price.
The service has been personal and friendly every time I go to visit. They work on a first-come first-serve basis, but if you call ahead, they are willing to tell you how busy it is and how long the wait is. Twice, the staff went above and beyond to help me out while preparing for a road trip. I definitely recommend this place!
These guys are all business. Your in and out before you know what happened. Good work and reasonable price.
Visited Big O Kingsway twice before for help with my dad’s car (he’s 80). They were great in providing good value and service. Local, longtime East Van business with decent prices. So, I thought of them first when I needed tires for my own car. This time there was a miscommunication and I ended up with tires I did not want. I brought this to their attention and Randy went above and beyond to make it right. The shop is busy, yet quick (everyone needs a tire right away), so it may appear a bit disorganized in the office. But be patient and clear with communicating your needs, and you will leave happy.
This place was terrible. Over charged us terribly. Ended up having to leave the truck there 2 days longer than agreed and had to pay 500$ more than what was quoted. Would not recommend they will rip you off.
They try and over sell, and get annoyed when you go for the cheaper alternative.
Great service, Frendly staff. I had my car back to me in 30ish mins and my leak is fixed. The fella at the front desk is a tip top geezer
WATCH OUT. I've been here a few times and they do the SAME SCAM each time. Called got a quote of 12.50 / tire to swap out. Got there and they added 'labout tuner nut' charge for $5/ tire ($20more). He said this was as the winter nuts need to be removed by hand tools and they can't use the power guns. I came out and watched them- they loosened nuts by hand (2-3 cranks) and then used the power tools. Talked to the manager and he changed his story saying -'he meant they need to loosened by hand and then they can use the guns.' My reaction - 'REALLY!! You're going to still charge me $5/tire for literally Five seconds of 'extra' work!!!' His response 'Yes, but we are still cheaper than everyone else' - which is not true. Will never come back as they ALWAYS CHARGE MORE than they quote. STAY AWAY!
Close to home, helpful staff, and decent tire selection and prices. Not many places carry maxxis tires...
Randy and his crew do an awesome job. I go here for all my car mechanical work. They work fast and have competitive pricing. Always satisfied with the job and would recommend if you need any work done.
excellent deals on tires. summer ir winter
Super speedy & super friendly!
Best service, advanced staff
I’m shocked by any review that says the owner is rude. Randy has gone above and beyond with me and my tire problems. Mercedes Benz quoted me over $3000 to replace my run flat tires because of nails and puncture holes. I told my friend about my tire problems and she recommended Randy. He was extremely accommodating, honest and was friendly even when I called afterwards with a question. My 3 tires are all fixed now and I saved thousands of dollars. I recommend this location to everyone who needs quality tire services and honest opinions!
