If I could only give 6 stars, I would! Hands down to Standish Automotive!!! Drove from Saskatoon to Banff for a quick vacation with my wife when I suddenly noticed that my wheel needs to be aligned. Luckily, my search landed to Standish. Fast, honest, very kind service! Thank you Lee & Masa for accommodating us so fast, we really appreciate your service :)

We are very happy with the level of service we received. We were visiting Banff from Edmonton and we had picked up a nail in our tire and it was flat. We called the morning after our arrival and they fit us in right away so we didn't have to hinder our vacation at all. They turned a pretty major issue while being far from home into a minor annoyance pretty quickly. They were quick and reasonably priced. Thank you for saving our camping trip!!

they wanted 200$ for a e-brake cable replacement, a repair that cost me (no experience with that and just plyers and a hammer as tools) 2h and 35$ for the replacement part. Sorry but that's just a ripoff, I can't see how it would take them longer than 30mins for that repair.

I arrived in Banff after a 16 hour drive to discover I had no heat in my car. I found Standish over the Internet. Lee and Al were fabulous. They were quick to assess I needed a new thermostat. I had my car back with heat in a day. Great service and personable guys. Highly recommend!

After a great day of skiing at Sunshine with my family, I found my car in the lot with a flat tire - at 5pm. While my 12v pump worked to raise the flat, I called Standish. They told me if I got there quickly they could help me. As soon as the tire was up and our gear loaded, we cautiously headed into Banff. When we got there, they found a short shard of metal in the tread. They cleared the puncture, patched and sealed it while my kids sat fascinated that this was all possible. We were on our first leg of a family vacation and without their help our plans wouldn't have worked out. Thanks to them we were skiing the next day instead of sitting at a tire shop in Canmore. It was all quick and billed at a very reasonable rate.

I stopped here on the off-chance after discovering a nail in the tyre of my hire car which was causing the pressure to steadily drop. I was staying in Banff as a tourist from the UK and had plans to tour the area. Despite it being near closing time they repaired the tyre right away for a very reasonable price. They were polite and friendly and saved me a lot of worry and hassle in the long run.

Our minivan overheated just outside of Banff on the first leg of our family trip to Vancouver. It was around 5pm and while they did recommend a tow truck I did manage to drive it to their shop with some water in the radiator (just barely). They accommodated our bikes at their shop and drove us to a hotel. We were on the road fairly early next morning. Thank you Standish Automotive!

Wouldn't recommend at all. Rude in person and on the phone. Asked to check the O/D light and the ABS light on our 900$ car. When he called back, he told us that we would have to spend 3000$ to make it be able to ride. Then he said they restarted all the codes as if it was a huge thing (you just have to disconnect and connect the battery for that). They didn't even check the mechanical problem causing the O/D light to light up. And for that they charged us more than 140$, that includes some charges for "parts", that aren't described either. Seems like there's a trend here with hidden charges and rudeness with the guy running this shop. Hope he pays well his employees at least and treats them better than he treats customers

The people that work mechanical part of the job are honest and fair. they do very larger and small vehicles....there towing part of the business is best said "there their for you" no matter the emergency they literally will "jump out of bed to help" with your cold weather boost....or even that once in a lifetime time lock out ....sorry but this all comes with a cost it does not look like it from afar but like a iceberg you can't all ways see the behind the scenes of the clean up ect.... thank you for being there when you are needed in the national park good work.. as a resident of banff thanks for keeping us safe at event's fire works.. Christmas parade and other event through the year.. by controlling the intersections..

For such a simple job, was treated in ill regard, wasn't helpful at all and the office hand there wasn't communicative in the slightest. Car sat entire day untouched when I could have used it (due to the negligence and apathy of office staff). Wouldn't recommend to young people living in Banff.

I recommend Standish Automotive as they were so accommodating and trustworthy. We had a flat tire while in vacation and they fit us in although they were very busy. They took our tire, patched it up and called us when it was ready. We showed up and they put the tire back on our vehicle. The price was amazing and Lee was so friendly. Completely happy will the service and everything involved.

Asked to check out some engine lights on our car. Walked away with a surprise $150 bill. Had no idea it would cost that much for them to run codes on the computer. Had a trust worthy mechanic run through our entire vehicle for over 2 hours less than 1 month ago for < $100. Rude service and unhelpful.

Out of all the shops to deal with in the valley I’d say this is the least reliable in automotive. Have been messed around by them with their work going bad within days, pieces on my car breaking that weren’t even serviced after visiting them and general bad upkeep of my vehicle. I’m a fellow mechanic in the valley and would never bring my vehicle here again.

Would not recommend, service wasn't great at all and not one bit friendly. more who are you and what do you want? I went in for an inspection and was charged extra for "shop parts" and when asked what parts were fitted considering it was an inspection and he said "oh stuff". I would not recommend for inspection they may do good work when something needs done but for general inspections or services rather not get strung along, over charged and lied to.

I took my truck to them in the morning thinking I needed new u-joints... they had evaluated and determined that my wheels were out of balance and had me back on the road by the end of the day. Fair price; solid to deal with. Thanks!
