Heading from Calgary to Salmon Arm, we came upon a transmission temperature light before coming into Canmore. As that was not a light that has come on before, we thought it best to take it to the dealership to see what was available. When arrived I looked under the hood, and crawled under to see what size wrench I would need to check the fluid level. We were approached by a man in a suit stating that we couldn’t perform any work on the lot as they were not insured. This I understand to a certain point, however we had no tools, and we were not in a position of risk, so how by checking, or figuring out how to check the transmission fluid, were we an insurance risk? Does the grocery store manager come out to tell you that you can’t check your engine oil in the parking lot? Regardless, after the encounter, we proceeded to the service desk who weren’t able to fit us in (understandably at 230pm on a Monday) all in all didn’t feel welcome here in a time where we needed help. Luckily we were able to find another establishment that welcomed us, squeezed us in, and made us feel like valued and appreciated clients.

Our 2009 Jeep Liberty which my wife and I absolutely love had some fairly major problems starting about 10 days ago. And Yvonne the Service Manager went above and beyond to help us at Canmore Chrysler. She explained what was needed for the repairs to transmission cooling lines. We knew the water pump needed replacement so this was added and Yvonne recommended resealing timing cover while water pump was removed which saved us some money down the road. Excellent service.

When my rare Jeep Liberty Diesel died in downtown Canmore last Thursday afternoon I was pretty worried. The condo I was staying at was rented through Saturday and word had it that the rest of town was booked. On top of that we really needed to be back in Spokane Saturday to pick up our dog and to prepare for the coming work week. Yvonne, Daisy, and your service team went the extra mile though and saved me. By late afternoon Thursday they had located the hard to find alternator and had it in-house and my Liberty fixed early Friday allowing me to return on schedule. Earlier this year my parents brought their diesel Cummins truck into canmore Chrysler to have a check engine light attended to, the shop confirmed this was a fuel sensor issue and would replace it. Even though this same sensor was replaced two months earlier from a different shop. My parents agreed to have the fuel sensor replaced, to the amount of $1500, the previous sensor replacement was only $800. When my parents picked up the truck that morning, they went on a road trip and the vehicle broke down. There was a pencil sized fuel leak coming from the fuel rail, it was incredible unsafe to drive and they ended up getting it towed to a proper mechanic shop where it was repair. When my dad called the Canmore “mechanics” to request his money back, they took no responsibility nor the time to look at the items they damaged, Ryan called my parents to tell them this. My dad provided a summary of the work the other shop fixed to the Canmore dealership (let’s be honest that’s the only thing they seem to be decent at) and even that wasn’t definitive evidence of a botched job. This shop blows my mind it has return, if ANY customers. They are incompetent, terrible with customer service and clearly have staff that have no business working on people’s vehicles. It’s honestly a matter of life safety. Terrible mechanics. If I could give less than one star I would. Just to bring this to everyone’s attention… all the “good” reviews are from people purchasing a vehicle from this place. All mentions of absolute terrible customer service, general lack of knowledge on how to fix a vehicle and people returning to get refunds for incomplete and or malfunctioning services are more than accurate. New edit… I think the purpose of a google review is for the company to try to make good or so better in the future. All the responses from the business is putting all the blame on vehicle owners. Keep trying Canmore Chrysler…your business model needs some adjusting.

Absolutely worth the drive from Calgary. To be honest we were really apprehensive to buy a new car, but more for the fact of having to deal with the salesman! Ken completely changed our outlook. He was so friendly, personable and not pushy at all. He helped us find exactly what we needed and between him and Graham (manager) they went above and beyond to bring us in a Jeep that checked all the boxes for what we wanted. No surprises at all. This place claimed that diesel was put into my brothers gas car, which never happened, quoting thousands in repair cost. Took it too another garage which said this was not the case. The other garage fixed the problem for a fraction of the cost (nothing diesel related), car is up and running with no issues. Don’t give your money to these scammers. Edit. I see your response Ryan, don’t bother trying to justify your fraudulent business by lying about what he said.

Update: had jeep looked at again water pump is fine and its a timing chain not a belt and it is also fine. You are thieves quoting 1500 bucks when all of needed was a $40 belt You guys are so classy with your responses to bad reviews. I suggest to anyone thinking of using canmore crysler for anything to read the bad reviews. They are all very simular. Do not come here for service unless you want to be taken advantage of. They way overcharged my girlfriend to have a serpentine belt put on. The old belt was on the passenger seat with a note saying change belt. They called her and quoted 1500 bucks At first. And charged 75 bucks to diagnose and tell her she needed a new belt.. the old one was on the seat with a note asking to just replace the belt. Nobody could explain a thing when we picked up the jeep. They had 3 different invoices, had no clue witch one to give us. And couldn't explain the work that was done or needing to be done. Send the 75 bucks to the alberta children's hospital if you feel that's the best way to keep a customers satisfaction. Hopefully its not made up like your quote. I guess we'll just have to take your word for it

Chris and the team were very professional and personable! They stayed after hours to seal the deal. It seemed like a great deal, trade in my original owner 2014 Highlander for a 2010 Subaru WRX. I wanted to downsize and have a car that was great in the snow. This was a great little car until I took it in for it's first oil change, and asked to find out why the clutch pedal was squeaking so much. I addressed this squeak during my test drive and the salesperson informed me that it was a new clutch and it could just need adjusting. I took his word for it. I'd since learned that just because the car is at dealership, it doesn't mean they will disclose everything. The squeak was due to a crack in the firewall. How could they sell a vehicle with this damage, cars have been written off for less than this. Based on the repairs that they did at the dealership prior to selling they should have been aware of this issue. After contacting them about it, thankfully they agreed to pay for these repairs. For this I was thankful and would have given them top ratings. Unfortunately after only 5,000km on the car since I bought it the engine seized due to a ringland failure. I was at a total loss, I bought this vehicle in August, had the firewall fixed in September, was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer in October, had surgery in November, started chemotherapy in December, and in January the engine needs replacing! I went back to my mechanic in Calgary to get the engine replaced, into the repairs they then informed me that the clutch needed replacing, as well as the timing belt. They told me that if I bought it from a dealership, then the dealership should have come across both of these in their inspection. I also have an email confirmation from the sales person that the clutch was just recently replaced and had no issues. His words, "we wouldn't take the car in if the clutch wasn't done first". Well that obviously was a lie, and they were looking to get a quick sale. My mechanic shop contacted Canmore Chrysler to request their assistance in funding for these two additional repairs, but Canmore Chrysler washed their hands of it. They already fixed the firewall and that was all that they would do. This is really unfortunate because I specifically bought a car from a local dealership thinking that I would be better protected against fraudulent sales. I do not recommend buying a car from this dealership, unless you choose to get a second opinion from another mechanic to really take a look at the car before you buy. Better safe than sorry!

Helped a traveler in need of a tire . Canadian Tire would only sell me 4 because that's their policy. I only neede 2 and that's all I could afford at the time. Canmore Chrysler didn't have the ones I wanted in stock but were willing to order them in and put them on the next day. They also suggested they would put two on from Canadian Tire if I bought them loose there. Ended up just buying one of a different brand and limped home with the spare on the other. Went above and beyond to help me get home safely.

Matt, a salesman at this dealership was very highly recommended by a friend just a few weeks ago. She raved about the service she'd received. So, Matt and I first connected via e-maiI. I let him know what I wanted (newish Jeep Renegade ) and was disappointed to find out they didn't have any in stock. I settled on the idea I would have to wait or perhaps pick another model. Then, lo and behold within a few days, I received a video of just what I was looking for! What a way to shop, especially because we are over an hour's drive from Canmore. We were fairly confident in taking the drive (and what's not to love about the mountains). The transaction was great, all questions answered, all documentation on the history of the vehicle was all available. Matt was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle and answered questions during the test drive. Even my little dog was welcomed by everyone! The icing on the cake was to find out that they handled all the paperwork (registration and plates). We didn't lift a finger. Everything was waiting when we arrived to take delivery! We had also been offered a loaner vehicle to take home until the delivery date so we wouldn't need to bring our own vehicle back delivery day. What a great option for those who are out of town. I had also noticed some small scratches on the hood (not really a big deal) but I did ask if perhaps it might be touched up. When we arrived to pick up the Renegade the scratches were gone! They had sent it out to have it fixed!! I was absolutely thrilled -- and a little astonished -- it looked brand new! The Renegade was spotless inside and out. Matt then took me through all the details about "piloting" the vehicle. Best car-buying experience by far. Thank goodness, gone are "those good old days" of buying a vehicle! Thank you everyone at Canmore Chrysler for the attention to detail! I love my Renegade!!

Laughing out loud, offered me about 1 sixth of the price for a trade in, I refused. i.e. if you bring in a car that sells for $6000.00 used privately, they will lowball you to about $1000 and claim they only wholesale. Then Mitchell or Mich will take you for a "spirited" drive violating all speed limits but warn you that if you go just a bit over the limit you are in deep cahoodles and will be fined out of your bottom. If only I had accepted the $1000 offer for my $6000 trade in I would have had a much lighter wallet.. It's annoying carrying around cash so why not just give them your wallet? Also, they tried to test drive my car without any insurance and registration in the glove box (because I took it in to their desk). I insisted that I put back the pink registration and insurance in the glovebox if they were taking it for a test drive, but they insisted they were just going to drive it without it? What the heck is a dealer doing driving cars WITHOUT registration and insurance proof in the glove box? Just wholesale it folks! Wholesale your car off to them for 1 sixth the value.

Terrible experience with management a year ago....I was looking to purchase a vehicle I had seen for sale in Bonnyville for ~ $60,000 (previous modle year on sale) at the Bonnyville location. As I live in Canmore I thought it would be good to give business locally and have them simple have the vehicle delivered to Canmore and buy there, however from dealing with the manager suddenly the price jumped up over $20,000 to about $80,000. I know all stealerships are there only to make money but this was a joke. Needless to say I never would call them again. What a bunch of crooks.

My experience was great from start to finish. Here's how it all went down .... - Found the EXACT vehicle I was looking for on autotrader.ca - Called the dealership and spoke to Matt. A small error in the price (autotrader fault) - as per AMVIC rules (and without any hassle), the price was honoured and drove out from Calgary - Test drove the vehicle, Stephanie & 'Finance Dog' were quick, thorough and had everything buttoned up in no time. - Vehicle was in on a trade - so fresh it wasn't detailed yet (Matt was very transparent about this BEFORE coming from Calgary) - We were offered a 'loaner' for a few days! Much appreciated -- we made alternate arrangements. - Stayed in touch over the few days to ensure registration and minor 'prep' details were taken care of. - Matt stayed after hours to accommodate my arrival time. Everything was ready as discussed -- NO SNAGS! Straight forward - straight up - I'd drive straight to Canmore Chrysler if the right car was on the lot when I needed it. Solid work gals & guys!!

We had a problem with our Pacific and they were able to fix it quickly. While we were driving away we noticed that the check engine light was on. We called them back and it was already closing time, but one of the technicians stayed late to clear the light.

Update: I brought my Jeep to a trustworthy mechanic in Calgary, walked out of there without paying a dime. Canmore Chrysler quoted me $1500 for made up problems! One of them being a timing belt cover when my Jeep doesn’t even have a timing belt! Also-no leak in my water pump like they claimed! DO NOT COME HERE FOR SERVICE they make up problems to try and scam you for money!!!! Brought my Jeep in because my serpentine belt came off. They called to say it was a bunch of other things due to the belt falling off and that the bill would be $1500. I told them to just replace the belt. They ended up charging me a ridiculous amount for shop time when this is under a 30 minute procedure. They also charged for diagnostics after they told me what the problem was so I got charged for that time too. When I came in to pay they had a bunch of different invoices all different prices. Did not make any sense, seemed like they were just going to charge me with what they felt like that day. None of the invoices were $1500 and I ended up paying $250 which is ridiculous to just have a new belt put on. They’re a bunch of thieves I would not go there for service or anything at all for that matter. Waste of money. Do not recommend at all.

This is a rewrite of my previous review in which I bitterly trashed this dealership. Apologies for getting swept up in the fury of the moment after receiving a 3000 dollar bill. But here's why you're still getting 1 star... The full scope of Canmore Chrysler's dishonesty became apparent when, after a series of "leaks" were found under my vehicle (preventing it from passing an out of province inspection), I had another mechanic take a closer look. It turns out three out of the four were simply cosmetic, the result of messy oil changes. I used 10 dollar over the counter degreaser on sections of the underside of my vehicle and dropped a 3000 dollar bill down to the low hundreds. Beware people. PS. What I said about your labour rates still stands but the bow valley is overall outrageous for that.

Its was also dirty from being shaped from Vancouver, the sales person said the wash bay person isn't working, (yea just spent 36 grand and this is how I pick up my vehicle, My first oil change and the mechanic said I could use a transmission flush ??? I said pardon, its brand new, mechanic O yea well maybe not right now but maybe next time ??? Tried to rip me off my first visit back ???? ...... skip ahead 3 years later and my heat isn't working. The mechanics told me to put cardboard in the front grill to stop the cold air coming in. ???? Wouldn't even have a look at it unless I was paying for an inspection. ??? What about warranty ?? No they tell me its not covered ! Wow, I only purchased my jeep from you and its under warranty but you will charge me to determine the problem....then what ? bill Chrysler and me after you find out its under warranty after fixing the problem. This place does not deserve your hard earned money or your precious time.

Dropped my truck off for an intermittent starting issue. I am from out of Province and was stranded without a vehicle and a camper in the campground while they had my truck. It's an old truck with high miles. 30 mins after I drop it off, I get a call from the dealership. Great! That was fast, perhaps they found the issue! Nope, this was an unwanted call from the sales guy using my information I had given the service side to try to hound me I to buying a new truck. Not at all interested, and kind of annoyed they used my information for the purpose of bugging me to buy new when I brought my truck in for a simple repair. Now onto the repair. Well, that's the thing. There wasn't one. Just a "can't duplicate the problem so we shall load the parts cannon up and guess it needs part x". So what if that doesn't fix the issue (ie bad diagnosis) I ask? Oh well, then we reload the parts cannon and fire more parts based on guesses. No thanks. Next I am told I need a brake fluid flush, etc etc for $2400. I didn't ask for that, I just don't want to be stranded with a no start condition. I'm not at all interested in the extraneous work you are trying to sell, especially when you can't find the issue I continue to have. So I wasted $181. Good points, the staff are friendly. EDIT: Problem turned out to be a faulty remote start system. I unplugged it and the truck starts fine. Of note, what led me to this was that the truck started fine by using the remote, but not the key. Easy diagnosis. The starter still works fine to this day. Glad I didn't go with what they suggested.

Called around noon and told m Not even started yet and not sure when it would be done. Finally at 3pm they called to let me know it was ready. Went to pick up and the cost was $40 more than quoted. I was upset and spoke to manager. I was deceived twice. Cost and ready time. I do not recommend this dealership for service.

Friendly staff, but lacking customer service when mistakes are made on their end. Will not be returning with my wife's car or my own in the future as a result. I left my car at the lot the night before for my appointment the following day. I got a call in the afternoon with an idea of what needed to be done. They had to order a part and wouldn't be able to get it done until the following day. The following day came and they ordered the wrong part for the car. They were unable to complete the service the following day and they didn't finish the service until later on the 3rd day. I spoke with them about the inconvenience the mistake on their part has caused and if there was something that could be done to make up for the delay. They reassured me over the phone that we would discuss possible reimbursements when I came to pick it up. I came to pick up the car and was handed the invoice with no price adjustments. I took it up with the person I spoke to on the phone and they were unable to make any amendments to the price, even though they were the ones at fault in this situation. Dissatisfied to say the least.

We were travelling in our Promaster RV in BC when the engine light came on. After visiting several dealerships and calling several others without being able to get our issue resolved, we were able to book an appointment at Canmore Chrysler in Alberta for the day we would be there. We knew what the problem was and were aware it was not a serious issue - just a sensor that had stopped working correctly. On the day of the appointment, we arrived on time and we were told what to expect cost wise and time wise almost immediately. The work was completed faster than promised and an outstanding recall issue was also addressed. Although I am not impressed that a simple sensor replacement with parts costing around $150 ended up costing $683 with labour, and taxes, it appears to me this is more of a design flaw with the Promaster than anything else. Why on earth a sensor would be buried within an engine compartment so it would need 2.60 hours of labour to replace is beyond me. At any rate, if I can make a recommendation, perhaps it would be don’t buy a Promaster. Having said that, Canmore Chrysler was forthcoming with cost and efficient in completing the repair.

Mike in parts ruined our entire vehicle purchase experience he is extremely incompetent and needs to be fired. I'm giving 5 stars because of Jordan (our sales guy) and Brian (the parts guy) who rectified Mike's incapableness and lack of ambition to complete his job! We bought a new Cummins and for our company we require a gooseneck adapter with fifth wheel rails so we added that into our purchase to buy. After receiving the gooseneck adapter without any rails we contacted Mike and were told that it was a rail less system and they had already drilled the holes for the fifth wheel hitch. After almost a week passing by from presenting the issue and me rescheduling projects due to not having the proper hitch. That's when Mike phoned and said we had to go with a gooseneck kit and to come in the following week to install. After the install I inspected and yes we got a gooseneck ball but no safety chain mounts! After me taking a day off work and already having issues in the previous order and having a client come from a long distance you would think as a parts personnel you would look in the box to assure everything is in order but no he proceeded to be irritated with me and really didn't have an answer other than "I don't know" and kept saying how "he gave me $800 for free" when actually I paid for my hitch in my sales deal and he provided me with an in complete kit which by the way I was informed the kit was one that was ordered for another customer that "no showed". Jordan was great and Brian was very helpful and extremely beyond Mike's level of knowledge ! Brian should be at the main parts counter! I'm sure they will lose and have lost ALOT of parts business due to Mike!

Had a change oil last week, expecting their promotion of "peace of mind inspection" rate for 84.00CAD, though I prefer a synthetic oil instead, They let me signed a quotation amounting to 99.00CAD before the service., the charges end up to 190.00CAD, then when I asked them why is that so, they told me that because of the oil that I requested amounting to 95.00CAD and when I checked that kind of synthetic oil outside store it only cost 13.00CAD. "Having a change oil for190.00CAD" really surprising ", aside from this I been doing all my cars change oil with them for the past 4 years and this is what I got.

Truck broke down on a camping trip in Banff. The service manager Yvonne went above and beyond to ensure our truck was repaired ASAP. They needed a special part and managed to send someone to a dealership in the city to get it vs waiting for the part to arrive. Repaired the truck on time and ensured to keep us updated during the process. Frustrating for the truck to break down but the service I received here made it better. Ultimately the hour drive west is more then will worth it. being a smaller dealer I feel they stepped up their game and take good care of customers as how it should be in my opinion. Vehicles aren't cheap these days so it's nice to have great value for the money, and the customer service before/after purchase is top notch. Also wanted to give a shout out to the girls at the front, they phoned my insurance company, had my new truck registered, and ready to roll not to mention they are very pleasant to deal with in person or on the phone. I have purchased quite a few new vehicles in the past decade from both Calgary and Edmonton dealers, and hands down Canmore is, and will be my first choice from now on. I was dealing with ROB HASON. I put a $2000 deposit on a vehicle to, as Rob said, "protect the vehicle from other buyers," since I lived out of town and wouldn't be able to see it for a week. I said how I did not want to buy the vehicle before test driving it, which Rob said he understood and that the vehicle would be held for me to see it and then decide. A few days later, I get a call from Canmore Chrysler saying there was a buyer that had been approved for financing of the vehicle I had put a deposit on (the buyer had already been approved for financing BEFORE they spoke with me), and I needed to confirm purchase immediately if I wanted this vehicle. I was appalled!! I declined the transaction, since there was no way I was going to buy a vehicle that I had not seen. I did receive a full refund of the deposit. To me, this was very shady business practice, and showed me that THEY DID NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS, JUST CARED ABOUT A SALE. Rob had the nerve to call me just now (over 3 months later) offering others of the same vehicle, which reminded me that I had not yet left a negative review.

Best dealership I have ever purchased a vehicle from....I'm 56 years old and have bought over 26 new vehicles in my life. I spent a year looking for the perfect Dodge Challenger Scat Pak Shaker.....I wanted it loaded and in purple. Canmore Chrysler had a 2014 used Challenger in purple and I purchased the car over the phone. I sent my deposit and the finance department got me better financing that I could get at my local bank. When the sales person"Jordan" realized it was missing a key option that I wanted, he informed me after we had completed the deal, but I had not taken possession. He was willing to forgo a sale to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. His integrity and honesty was a totally new experience. As the last car I bought at a Chevrolet dealership, they forgot to tell me the car was from the US, had been in an accident and was void warranty with 32,000 kms and two years old. Because of that experience I was very apprehensive to trust a dealership. Canmore Chrysler is not the largest dealership I shopped. But they were by far the most professional and courteous. They located the perfect car for me, and I have never been happier with a new vehicle. Enjoy the drive to Canmore, and if they do not have the perfect vehicle they will find it. My friend and co worker bought a brand new jeep jl from this dealership. After 38000 km the engine is toast. They will not give him warranty because he did his own oil changes. He's a journeyman mechanic. They also charged him to get his jeep back in peices. While assembling his jeep he found stripped bolts. Absolutely ridiculous how a dealership would conduct "buisness" like this. It's a small town guys. Word is going to spread quick.

If i could give this dealership a 0 star i would. My jeep went in for a new transfer case under warranty. ( i have extended warranty) They quoted around $300-$400 with the diagnostic and my deductible. Which i agreed too. Later to find out they charged me another $300 because "it took longer than they though it would." Few days later i noticed my jeep being louder than usual. My boyfriend looked under the car and noticed i now have an exhaust leak from Chrysler from doing the transfer case. I brought in my jeep for them to fix the issue with the exhaust leak. later that day I picked up my jeep thinking all is well. looked over my jeep while still in the parking lot to notice that the passenger side door had a dent and a blue scrap mark that wasn't there when i brought my jeep in earlier that day I was extremely disappointed with the service that i had received. In the future i would definitely reconsider bringing any vehicle back to Canmore Chrysler due to the experience i went through.

Had the worst information given to me about getting my jeep serviced. Called in asked what I needed to have to get a loaner vehicle they said I needed nothing, when I got there and tried to get a loaner they told me I needed to have a credit card which I don't have. I called a week in advance to book my appointment to get my power steering pump replaced and went in and they didn't even have the pump there to fix it. The person I had on the phone never once told me that there was a possibility that it wouldn't get replaced the day I brought it in.

If i could i would give the place a 0/5. The whole process of looking and buying a vehicle from this place was a horrible experience all together. For the sake of whom is reading this i will keep it as short, simple and to the point as possible. The sales man KEN lied to about the price of the truck to get us to drive all the way from Edmonton to Canmore, knowing we had a budget and wanted to keep it with it, but when we got down there he said he couldn't keep the original deal that he said he would. The sales man, finance, and MANAGER were all rude to my fiance and i, the left us waiting for service for 45 min, ignoring us, and talking to other customers that came in after us, just to tell us they are not going to move on price still. At that point we just took our keys back from the sales guy and just left. The next day my fiance and i still really wanted the truck and were able to find a way to sell the vehicle we were going to trade in ourselves (because the dealership was lowballing us) and told them if they can honour the deal they originally got us to come down it will be sold 100% and that we were very disappointed with our service that we got, the sales guy was very rude to us and told us that he would "sue us if we left a bad review about him on social platforms". Unfortunately it was such a good deal on the truck we didn't want to leave without it so we decided just to buy it, when we were talking to the finance guy he was rude, pushy and didn't apply the NURSE and OIL FIELD discount the my fiance and i qualify for and were also promised, and he added on extra charges that were not discussed. Once we finally got in our new truck we seen that it was not detailed, there was dust on the dash and seats, streaks on the windows, and they didnt fix the problem we had asked them to fix before we bought it. There is more but these are just the big things. After all of this we never got an apology, or a thank you for even buying the truck. Overall this was the worst experience buying anything ever and i really wish i bought a vehicle from a more deserving place in these times. Would ABSOLUTELY not recommend this place to anyone.
