You have the opinions of real people like you who are using the services and products of Canadian Tire (Tires) near to the territory of Banff (Canada).

You know that we don't usually stop to give opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Tires belongs to the category of Department store.
All good, its what you expect out of a Canadian Tire
Good to have Canadian tire in town like Canmore, really helps if you are new to town, but they could have a self-checkout because are short staff in busy times long lineups. Prices are a little more than Calgary or other big cities
We went to Canadian tire Today to grab some bike tires and tubes and we were helped by an employee named Adi. He was awesome!!! Customer service was 10/10 and very Knowledgeable with a great sense of humor.
Forgot my 5yr old daughters skates at home and was able to find some here. The staff was helpful. 4 stars cause you have to pay extra to get them sharpened. Usually that is included at all hockey shops I've been to, including sporting good stores like sport chek.
Terrible service staff. Asked for help finding a plumbing fixture and was promptly ignored. The cashier at checkout was rude and dismissive. Returned a few weeks later to return a car camera and was told since the package was dented it was unreturnable. Asked to speak with a manager and after waiting 20 minutes he said the same thing even though I didn’t even open the camera package. Terrible store, terrible staff, if you value customer service and your self respect you will not shop here.
Find most of the poor ratings come from the service department which is not true for entire store. Good prices and great staff. Have bought many household items from here and all are very good quality at a fair price. They have also saved me with last minute purchases on emergency need items on many occassions. Recommend.
Good selection of kitchen gadgets, that's usually what I shop for.
Nice folks, helpful
Great store
Store is awesome... Max Stars Service Department Zero Stars - bring your cheque book and access to your savings account...
I've called this Canadian tire almost 10 times in the last few days, and only gotten through to the correct department 2 times.
Excellent sales staff but my goodness is the owner a piece of work. After damaging my truck the automotive department justified their actions and refused to rectify the situation. Reluctant shopper
We called the store to see if they would price match a product that was on sale with another retailer and were told over the phone by one of the employees that it would be honored so we jumped in the car to go purchase the item. 10 minutes later upon arrival at the store, the manager said the product didn't qualify for the price match guarantee and when we told her the employee's name we spoke to and that we were given verbal confirmation that it would be honored and he came to the service desk to agree with our story, she basically said he made an error and we couldn't get the discount. I understand there are policies they have to respect but we did our due diligence before coming to the store and the manager should have honored the discount as promised to us by her employee and then used it as a training opportunity to learn from the mistake for next time. The entire experience was a demonstration of poor customer service and I'm glad we were able to find an online retailer that honored the discount even though I would have preferred to shop within our community.
$105 to mount 2 tires on rims. What a joke
Small place with less stuff and goods but we got what we looking for.
Super happy fun time
Couldn't find what I was looking for but the store staff were diligent with keeping it orderly.
Good items
They refused me service because I'm medically exempt from wearing a mask. I'll shop in Calgary from now on. Not only that but Canmore Canadian Tire has sold me ammunition without asking for my firearms license on many occasions. Very negligent operation.
I had traveled from Vernon earlier in the day stopping about every 100 km to add air to a tire that the Vernon Can Tire shop had said thy fixed. I was hoping the Canmore shop could correct the Vernon error, what a big mistake that was. I was told that they could fit me in in about an hour. This is no exaggeration, the manager took about 15 minutes to enter the work order. When I said to him it takes longer to enter the WO than to do the work he said it was because of the awkward antiquated computer system. I got there a 3 pm and finally left a 6 pm. During that time I observed other frustrated people trying to get service. In the end I was told the tire could not be fixed so I asked if they had a suitable equivalent, they did not but offered one that they said would work, but it would only work on the rear of the car. At that point I knew I was dealing with total incompetence so I told them to put on the spare and I left. I did get the tire fixed in Calgary, drove to Edmonton and all the way back to Vancouver and the tire is working fine.
Nice store. Had my oil changed while traveling.
Bait & Switch - Once again made the trip to purchase something posted on sale both online and at the online kiosk in the store - 8 in stock Aisle 25. As usual the item was not in the aisle indicated. Floor staff look in all the places you already looked then go into their system, search the stock room then tell you there must have been a mistake. Last time.
The store was very clean. I enjoyed the atmosphere. And, found all the items I needed during my stay in Canmore.
I got excellent service with the vehicle repair people
My wife and I were intending on celebrating our 2nd anniversary by driving to the mountains but had the trip ruined when her tire went flat and became irreparably damaged on highway 1. We got towed to the only tire shop open on a long weekend (this one). While I am grateful that we received any help at all, Canadian tire only replaced the one tire even though I asked repeatedly if we could do all four. I knew this was a safety issue but the person I spoke to on the phone kept declining and I was so stressed out by our circumstances that I caved and allowed them to go ahead so that we could just get it over with. The kicker was when I paid up for the one tire they replaced. The staff at the counter told me I should have replaced all four due to a safety recommendation, to which I responded: "That's what I asked for, but your guy didn't want to do it." His only response was "Sorry I had nothing to do with that" and he wrapped up the conversation. I suppose I should have demanded to speak to a manager because none of these people were interested in taking ownership over the situation, however feeling tired and really down I decided to just cut my losses and leave. Everything my friends have told me about the Canadian tire auto department has lined up with my one personal experience with them.
Smaller store but has lots and lots of product piled high. Aisles are narrow and staff seem stressed. Hopefully it's just because of the current pandemic we are all trying to work with. There is sanitizer at the front. Masks appear to be optional for staff. Seems like a good store to visit for all your household items. Parking is a bit tricky. It's a busy lot cuz it''s a busy store with a parking lot about half the size of the Canadian tires I've been to elsewhere.
AKA Canuck Wheel!
This location definately has an abundance of items didn't from any other Canadian tire that I've been to. Friendly, helpful staff. The location can seem a bit "jammed". This location also had a Mark's work wear inside!
Bought a bike from here. Must have been assembled by Stevie Wonder with his hands tied behind his back. Everything was loose, the brakes were adjusted to a range completely rendering them useless... not to mention the gears won't change. Buyer beware; no returns on bikes.
Allen? Blonde? At the till needs to BE fired! Very unpleasant to deal with and I will never go in if she is working! EVER! All beware!
Got what we needed. Thanks!
If you can't get it at Canadian Tire, you don't actually need it. I shudder to think how much money I have spent there over the years.
Staff weren't productive
Mountain town needs a tire store!
Super job, thank's to all the staff...Zander, Jon. ????????????
Was easy to find what I needed. The cashier was super friendly as well.
Everything smooth. Thanks!
Literally. Has. Everything.
It's too small and packed. But there is a Mark's in it. I love that.
Dont drive you car in here. Even my dog understands cars better
Great Store
Just wanted to give Andy at this location a special shout-out. He checked my tire pressure for me both times I pulled in and was super helpful and considerate of my concerns, as I was doing a long drive from Edmonton to Canmore and back to Edmonton. Thank you so much Andy for all that you do everyday!
Waited for AN HOUR to try and buy 4 tires. I knew exactly which tires I wanted, offered multiple times to just leave my keys and let them figure it out, was told I had to wait. After an hour, asked the manager to cut me some slack on the install or something and was told that they didn't care if they sold me tires or not, and the wait time was just what you get on a weekend. Took my money and left, I'll buy tires from someone who values my time and wants to sell me tires!
great place to shop. has everything you need
Loyal customer
I'd have to say this is my most visited retail store in canmore and the service is excellent and the selection is great
When in Canmore...
It's good. I think that if you need to something you can go here. For fix something. And not expensive
This is a review for Canada Tire Automotive. The Australian dude that "helped" me was very ignorant and dismissive. I came in with a broken windshield wiper hoping to get it replaced. He took a quick glance and said that because of the way the piece was broken I would have to go directly to a Volkswagen and they "unfortunately" would not be able to assist me. He just seemed to be wanting to get rid of me and attend the two other dudes behind me and get it all over with. A week later I went to some random little car shop and the dude simply replaced my windshield wiper in 2 minutes for $30 and off I went with a perfectly functioning wiper.
Friendly staff and has everything you need
Its Canadian Tire....what is really to be expected
We stopped in on a busy afternoon to get the wheels torqued on a tent trailer we had just purchased. The GM quickly directed us and the service team hurried to get it done. Super service!
Never, ever will buy a battery if anything from Canadian Tire. Battery had a 3 year replacement warranty and go to replace it had the receipt too. Told the battery was frozen. How does a battery freeze when it was hooked up in the vehicle? Wouldn't all batteries freeze then if the vehicle isn't running? Come on give your head a shake. Every excuse in the world to not have to. Have lifetime warranty on mastercraft tools. Took an hour to get them to give a replacement on them. Why? They tried saying that they didn't have markings on them to indicate that they were mastercraft maximum. Had to sit there and point out the markings and one you couldn't have gotten more clear the logo on it. Do you call it laziness or ignorance ????❌❌❌
Customer service is quite OK!
Seems unorganized which was kind of stressful. Perhaps too much merchandise.
Whilst not able to get what we wanted the staff helle us find an alternate And really went out of their way. Best ct staff i have ever dealt with
Lots of selection, prices don't seem inflated like most others in this fairly tourist town. Can't ask for much more out of a Canadian Tire.
Friendly people and typical Candian Tire. Always end up needing a something while out camping and Candian Tire always has it.
I've had two different Ford Focus vehicles serviced here over several years on and off. The staff have been courteous, though very busy. I'm not a car person but one day after a harrowing experience coming over the mountains, I stopped in. Tall guy, service manager I think, told me my front brakes were metal to metal. That's apparently not good. I was on my way to Calgary a few hours later. I could not believe the difference. (Get your brakes checked regularly people!). Another time I was having trouble starting the vehicle. Turns out a cap on the battery was missing (thank you oil change place!) and liquid had evaporated away. They had me up and running in a few minutes. Suggested I have the battery replaced. I wanted to go back to the oil change place and get them to put in a new battery. That's a whole other story. Good shop, nice people, especially if you don't know a lot about cars.
This is the only Canadian Tire store in Canada that I like
High prices, BUT check the clearance racks!! Great sales hiding all over the store! I got some great kitchen/camping cookwear for half price! Great selection all around the store. They also had the bear spray I wanted.
Had vehicle towed in for repairs after water pump failed on the highway. Was a weekend and wasn’t expecting miracles, I live in lake Louise some 80kms away.so a reasonable hours drive to reach. Got the call on Monday they had confirmed what I had already told.them water pump is leaking. From the service adviser was told is only the water pump that needs replaceing aprrox $400 dollars for parts and labour. Okayed the work, and the job went ahead.on the Thursday morning. Wasn’t rung until 6pm to say the vehicle is ready.no message left. Had to call back to check on progress or issues. After a semi delay because they don’t seem to able to find vehicles very fast that they have just worked on. Was told good to go,$493 a touch more than estimated. Went in on the Saturday to collect. Checked the vehicle over myself before heading inside to check the invoice. But found a small amount of coolant on the front of the engine. Went I entered to talk to the service advisor on duty( who is not a mechanic) pretty much just read out what I had already seen on the paper to me. So couldn’t answer my questions about.the process his mechanics had been through to find the problem and test the parts for serviceability. Nor if they had even done the head gasket check I requested to see if it was even worth repairing. Emailed the senior manager to which I received no reply.about my questions. BUT. To top of the cake. Soon returing to my home. The new water pump that was just installed is leaking slowly. The coolant is not topped up fully and rather than risk damageing the car more by driving back I asked for them to send the truck since I had already used my AMA on the initial tow. Their response 3 days later when I rang to get an answer. If it’s our fault we’ll fix it if not you pay. Even after I emailed called and sent pictures of the new pump leaking. NOT IMPRESSED BY WORKMANSHIP OR SERVICE CANADIAN TIRE CANMORE
The staff where very friendly.
Friendly, local staff doing the best they can. I appreciate the effort during these hard times!
Armin is the man to see in CT!
(Translated) Worst place to make his oil change. 5 days later, the oil was completely emptied from the engine and we had to call the tow truck to get to the nearest garage. (Original) Pire endroit pour faire son changement d'huile. 5 jours apres, l'huile s'est vidée completement du moteur et nous avons dû appeler la remorqueuse pour nous rendre au garage le plus prêt.
This particular location has a multiple items needed for camping, hiking and various outdoor activities and sports. Not only does it have items for outdoor but for indoor as well, such as coffee maker, pans and so on.
Fairly well lit and usually well stocked. With the odd exception everything is organized and tidy. Unless it's very busy can usually get what you need and be out of the store in a few minutes as long as you know where to find what you're after. Since getting the Canadian Tire app, that's even easier since it tells you what aisle items are in and you can see a picture of it so it's easier to find on the shelf.
Would give 0 star if I could. Had the car booked in for a new set of winter tires this Morning but unfortunately my car was stolen last night in Canmore. Called to cancel my appointment and spoke to Dave the response I got was “ I haven’t heard that one in a while” then Snickered. Don’t waste your time with there service department!
Good selection. Always have what I need. And the staff brought me right to the item.
Well staffed.
. Bad
All the staff members are simply awesome and helpful much appreciated for the team work
Fast in fast out no complaints.
The store itself is one of the best Canadian Tires I've shopped at, but the automotive department is an area I would avoid. On top of high costs ($200 for a tire change), and promised services undelivered (work order said there would be a full vehicle inspection, but none was provided), there was an astounding level of poor management and customer service here. I was rudely and bluntly told to simply 'come back later', after returning 3 hrs later to pick up my car (we were told it would take 20mins). The front desk agent refused to take any responsibility for the employee telling us 20mins. The manager refused to speak with me, and only did so when another customer overheard my conversation with the employee and pointed out the manager. The manager also refused to take any responsibility for his employee and only showed the same lack of courtesy and customer service that his employees showed. Aside from services undelivered, it is the managers refusal of responsibility that motivated this review and will prevent me from further being a customer of the automotive department. That said, the wheels were properly torqued and balanced +1 star. The remainder of the store is excellent +2 stars.
Excellent service. A lot of staff on floor, helpful and attentive! Improvement compared with some Calgary shops or Olds location.
The absolute worst service I have ever recieved from customer service. I purchased a product that was faulty which could have caused serious injury. The rudest clerk I have ever met failed to do her job I would suggest that they look for work in a different industry. The store manager didn't manage much.
Your usual Canadian Tire. The staff, if you can find them, are very pleasant and helpful
Terrible service and training in the automotive department. Don't put someone on a computer to help you if they don't know what they are doing. Completely incompetent. Will not be returning to this location again.
Can be hard to find stuff.
Took my vehicle here because of a torque steering issue in the rear end. Dropped it off on a Monday night, and they did not get to it until Thursday afternoon. After that long of waiting they tried to tell me I needed 4 new tie rod ends. I took my car back after tthey said it was "unsafe to leave the parking lot" and booked an appointment at dodge. The technicians at dodge confirmed my doubts, as all my tie rod ends were six months old, premium, with lifetime warranties. AND those tie rod ends were installed by Canadian tire!!! Maybe they should check their costumer history before trying to get fake work for stuff they had already done.
Honest garage staff, they do their best to accommodate.
It's amazing how many products are available in the store in such a small space.
This store is the best! Huge selection of everyday products and everything you could possibly need. Very clean store and friendly staff. Love buying from a Canadian retailer!
Needed an axe, they had axes! Axe has held up for over a year, so good buy.
Bob and Rob in auto are fantastic at their job and have offered great advice every time! I have been really happy with all my experiences there. Bob once stayed behind 45 minutes to help my change my car battery.
Always have what I need/want staff are always friendly and helpful
SERVICE REVIEW ONLY Bought a hitch from U-Haul and they were gonna put it on for $50 but I couldn't get an appointment that worked in my schedule and I needed it ASAP. Since I live in Canmore, went to Canadian Tire. The instructions on the hitch said it would take 30 min to install by a professional. I probably could have done it in an hour if I had the tools. (drill 4 holes, line it up and bolt it in. I provided all the bolts etc.). The guy at the counter quoted me for 1.5 HOURS. I thought whatever, they'll only charge me for how long it actually takes and sign the papers. I give him my keys and I have nothing to do so come back in less than an hour to check if it's done. I see the car is out of the shop but I wait there until they call me. Which took another 30 min of me waiting. He then charges me for the entire 1.5 hours..... I'm non-confrontational so I pay and leave super upset because I don't have money to just throw away for hours of service that didn't happen. Fast forward a few months. I need to change my tires to winters, not on rims. I check my receipts from the last 2 changes (Fountain Tire: $140, Canadian Tire Red Deer: $160). There's a coupon for $30 off so I excitedly book an appointment for 11 at Canadian Tire Canmore thinking it will cost me $130 for the Tire change. I drop my car off the night before. I get a call at 12 saying the car is ready to be picked up. Grab my keys and pay. I was charged almost $180 for a less than 1hr job. I think he forgot to apply the coupon so I ask.... NOPE. So it would have costed me $210 without the coupon!! I have never had a simple tire change on that car cost more than $160. Just excessive. This is my second time getting service done here. And it will be my last. I have a Canadian Tire credit card and the $6 I gained is not even close to worth the overpriced service specifically at this Canmore store.
Got such a great selection of item, always staff on the shop floor to ask for help asked the interactive system is great! Checkout can be slow but doesn't take away from the experience!
Will never take my car in here again. Got a new set of tires, did not do a proper inspection, and ended up having to tow my car and repair it in the back country. Didn't think they could screw up something so simple.
Big box store with with emphasis on automotive products, camping equipment, outdoor activities, etc.
Store is great. Auto Service is very shady. Some how they did a brake inspection without being able to remove the wheel lock nuts and said it was a fail on all 4 wheels. Upon doing an actual wheels-off inspection, brakes were all fine. I guess they just wanted $900 to replace good parts for slightly newer good parts.
Auto parts service department not helpful or attentive. Will take my business elsewhere.
Good store with awesome deals and an attached marks
My family and I pulled into the auto service area unannounced. The balance was off on our tires, and Sean was in the service bay. He came right over. He was friendly, approachable, and he helped us straight away. I don't know what the rest of the store is like, but t I have to say that I am so impressed that people like Sean just want to help. He tightened our lug nuts, provided some really helpful advice, and we were on our way. Thanks Sean
Do not bring your car here ! Very unprofessional ! The repair took forever and was not done properly ! Never going to bring my car here again !
Nice smiling staff
(Translated) It is a convenient place where you can purchase household goods except food. (Original) 식품을 제외한 생활용품을 한곳에서 구입가능한 곳으로 편리한 곳으로 종업원이 친절한 매장임
Lots of selection.
Very nice looking and well organized location but the staff culture seems quite, well, not appreciative of customers. Bad vibes in this place.
(Translated) Very cool store! We spent some time looking at the various options for items home. The store has so many products that we are half lost. Very cool! Good store . Helpful staff.
Excellent
Nice to have the underground parking for snowy days
The Canmore Canadian Tire management does their best. However, the mistakes sometimes made by the employee team are costly for the consumer and the time devoted to going back and correcting the oversights are irritating.
Not enough service but that's what you get it a small town I guess.
Well stocked store that has everything you'd expect from a Canadian Tire
My first hat after spending 7 years in Alberta. Another great deal at Canadian Tire. It was actually in clearance so that's even better ! What's the best deal you've found at #canadiantire ?
Bunnings meets harvey norman meets kmart
My experience with the automotive shop was fantastic! The car broke down on the way to a ski hill and the guys in the garage were extremely helpful, patient, and funny. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem (alternator belt had snapped) and helped me come up with the most reasonable solution. I was given plenty of space to think through the situation, and they were able to give me thorough answers to all my questions. And in the midst of an inevitable wait they helped us make the most of our short time in Canmore. These guys helped turn a bad start into an overall good day, and I would definitely go back again!! Thanks for the laughs!
Love CT!!
Wow, pretty useless in the auto parts section.
Always a rediculously good sale.
Was traveling through and desperately needed 2 tires for my 4x4 to get home. Told me that being a 4x4 I would have to purchase 4 and they had them in stock. Canadian Tire policy. When I revealed that I had previously worked as a Service Manager at a different CT store and had worked over 40 years in the automotive service business and never heard of such a policy , the Service Manager said there was nothing they could do for me and suggested I go to Cochrane Canadian Tire , which was back 40 km the way I had come and see if they could help me. Called OK tire and Canmore Chrysler , neither had the tires I was wanting, but both could order them in and install the 2 with no problem the next day if I wanted. Canmore Chrysler even suggested I buy the 2 at Canadian tire and they would install them that afternoon. Ended up at Canmore Chrysler and bought just one tire of a different type, I wouldn't give Canadian Tire any business at that point. So drove home with one new tire , two old tires and the manufacturer's supplied space saver spare. That policy of having to have four matching tires is a good practice but not necessary to pass a provincial safety in Alberta or B.C. It will do no harm to the drive train unless the truck is constantly in the AWD mode on dry pavement which has potential to damage the transfer case. I am so totally disgusted in the way I was treated by both the store and the corporation (they took 10 days to reply to my email when their policy is to answer every complaint within 24 hrs) that I'm going to have a hard time to even step into another Canadian Tire store ever again. All I was looking for was some empathy and an apology.
Well they just lost business. Tired calling to book a service appointment with no luck. No one ever answers the phone. In an industry where it is appointment based you would think they would have someone there to answer the phone and take appointments. Oh well....better mechanics in Canmore anyways!
This review is strictly for the Automotive Department/Parts Counter: if you are at this Canadian Tire location for anything auto parts related, you owe it to yourself to speak with Armin. While other employees behind the parts counter come off as rude and impatient, Armin always greets you with a smile, is cheerful to engage with and I have never seen him not go out of his way to ensure he can provide an answer or solution for a customer he is helping. He alone is worth a five-star review for the exceptional customer service he provides and I hope his management team are aware of how lucky they are to have that gentleman representing their store.

Well maintained store,easy access
Always a bargain available great service good return policy
Great deals on toys and cooking stuff. The entire staff is super polite and helpful. The only minus is parking situation.
Massive store, plenty of options so you'll probably find what you're looking for. Unfortunately the staff were generally uninformed and didn't take any initiative to help (e.g. "sorry, I don't know where that is" - maybe you should tell me that you'll find someone else who could help?!?)
Great place. A bit of everything there.
Pretty good has just about everything you could need
You can always count on CTC. Needed an out of province inspection. All other shops booked for a week and very expensive. Zander the service rep was super helpful, booked an appointment for next day, for less money. Work done on time while we waited. Now that is good service. Thx Zander!
UPDATE: Lukas is an absolute super star! It's customer service like that which will keep me returning to Canmore Canadian Tire again, and again, and again. Professional, efficient, approachable, knowledgable, friendly, and someone who seems like they will do everything in their power to get you out of a squeeze! Thank you so much Lukas! Matthew was really helpful today, even though he was clearly busy with other customers and duties he dealt with us quickly and efficiently. At times dealing with customer service and the customer service mechanics too, they have been good. This Canadian Tire offers the feeling and service of what you’d expect from a small family owned hardware store, better than the small family owned hardware store here in Banff. When you factor in the savings at Canadian Tire compared to the local hardware store, it is worth the drive to Canmore every time. Thanks team :)
Great!
The man running the auto shop went out of is way to help us change our flat tire and make sure the air pressure was correct - all after hours. Thanks from a group of East Coast girls, you saved our trip!
CANDICE WAS SUPER COOL :)
In the heart of canmore
Amazing service in auto. Honest manager and good Mechanics. I recommend being a regular here. They recognize their consistent customers! :)
Have been disappointed twice now, will never go back. RIV inspection took 1 hr 20 mins instead of 20 mins. Gave me the wrong radiator cap after triple checking with them, then told me they couldn't take it back because I had destroyed the packaging. Terrible customer service.
Terrible customer service from unanswered phones to taking over a month to make an appointment to get an oil change. Told the shop is booked up solid for +30 days.
Worst store in canada
Good size for such a small town.
They've got lots of stuff. Service is meh.
Average Canadian Tire - big and can be a bit tricky to navigate. Take the time to look up your item at the electronic kiosk ahead of time. The kiosks make finding the item and relevant aisle very easy. If you do need help finding a person can be tricky. Parking congested compared to most other locations.
It has everything and more...includes marks work warehouse.
Great staff in the automotive section. Friendly and helpful.
Typically Canadian Tire is a dog friendly environment so I entered with my dog (Canmore's economy largely depends on outdoor adventure tourism, shoppers with dogs in car is not uncommon). Upon entering I was told this location was not dog friendly. That's fine, this is why I give a one star rating though - I was directly told this local changed that policy based on a SINGLE customers persistent complaints! That's actually HORRIBLE customer service policy for several reasons. There was a sign stating the very new policy change at the exit but not entrance. That's also not good customer service practice. Dog friendly, not dog friendly, I'll make due but changing policy because one single person doesn't like some that benefits so many others is beyond pitiful.
Went in to get my tires rotated and an engine air filter for my subaru crosstrek on a friday morning - didn't have an appointment. Service was fast, friendly, helpful and done in an hour. Great bang for the buck. Total came to $50. Love Canadian Tire! Will be going back after I found out they do oil changes as well!
A Canadian Tire that was both clean and staffed appropriately? I didn't even know that combination existed anymore
Wish they still allowed dogs. Also now they make you leave your backpack at the front. It has gone very downhill in the last year or so, it's not a welcoming environment.
As expected for a CT
Really nice! Easy to find things, fast returns. Love them!
Went in for an oil changed on a compact 2013 Chevrolet Spark, which required semi-synthetic oil. A pricier option to be sure, but I was quoted at $54 dollars. As this rate was significantly lower than GM I decided to go with it. We organized a time for me to come in at a later date (this was not simply a walk in) and I was told the work would take roughly an hour. On the day of, I dropped off the vehicle and proceeded to wait in the auto service department until the work was finished. 4 hours later, frustrated after several attempts to receive the status of my work, demanded the car be released, to find out the work had been done for some time and was in the underground parking bay. When my bill of sale was printed I was charged $168 for the work! The manager on duty claimed that since the quote was verbalized, it carried no weight. I've had several oil changes from other Canadian Tire locations which ranged in price from $65-80, depending on promotion of products. Furious at this gross overcharging I then contacted corporate offices who claimed individual matters such as this were to be nullified by the franchisee, who when contacted was aloof to the matter and made no concessions to remedy the problems. I recommend that GM customers go to their closest service garage and avoid this location.
New facility. Looks good
Helpful staff very fast check out
Poor experience. Rude staff and not helpful
Nice store, proudly Canadian, have bought 100s of stuffs for variety purpose, great promotional prices
Great sales, great warranty, great service, great products!
What's really to say, it's Canadian Tire. It has everything under the sun plus a work ware house and a damned good garden centre. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

(Translated) Friends who need daily necessities can basically buy everything here, but I feel that the price is not particularly cheap, I welcome everyone to compare and start. There is also a clothing store in the shop, and you can take a look at the clothes after shopping for home appliances. (Original) 需要日常用品的朋友基本上能在這裡買齊所有東西,但我晃了一圈覺得價格並不特別便宜,歡迎大家多多比價再下手。店裡還有間服飾店,逛了家電後還可以順便看看衣服。
One of the more pleasant Canadian tires out there, great staff
Good price and good selection of outdoor products
I give 0 star to this specific young white lady at the customer service when I went to pick up my item today, I went there around noon and I was standing in the line waiting for my turn, she seemed to be totally indifferent and ignorant at first, then I stepped in myself, she asked in an unfriendly manner how she can help me and asked for my email confirmation which I didn't have it with me, because I ran out of data on my phone and couldn't check my email, she spoke in a very unpleasant tone saying she needs to see my email confirmation otherwise she can't find my item, this was not my first purchase online, I had experience before that they searched me by my last name, finally she got my item by searching my last name in 2 seconds, however she was speaking so unpleasant that everybody was looking at us as if it was my fault, finally when I received my item, she was so rude and told me with her unpleasant tone that next time be sure have my confirmation, THAT WILL MAKE MY LIFE EASIER, I'd never heard this sentence from a customer service representative, I work myself at the customer service, this is not the way we deal with customers specially locals every day, may be she is a new employee, maybe she was not in a mood to work today but she has to work on her attitude and improve it no matter of what, there were two other ladies there (an elderly and a young lady that I think she is philippino ) which I know them both and they are both friendly and professional all the time. So I appreciate if the person in charge follow this case, because we don't want to see these kind of behaviors and attitudes in the future when we visit our favorite stores as we are a small community and don't want to see these dramas anymore.
As a Canadian, I love Canadian tire.
Super helpful staff Chilliwackstore could take lessons from this staff. Got a great deal on a Flux welder. The cashiers were very friendly
Thanks for the bathrooms.
Went here for supplies for the new house, and to get winter tires out on. They were out of the tires we needed so they CALLED US and ordered them in! Was a lovely gesture. All the staff we dealt with were helpful
Great store always clean and stocked full
I brought my fully functioning car in to the shop for an oil change. after the oil change they informed me my lower control arm bushings were starting to go. the moment I drove the car there was a violent knocking from the drivers side front wheel, so violent it shook the car. the suspension also creaked loudly when I stopped. I brought it back and they ended up fixing the car free of charge, which was kinda cool, they told me it was loose lug nuts and that it was my fault, claiming they never touched the wheels, even though they are the only ones who have worked on it. but then who loosened the lug nuts if it wasn't them? because I haven't touch the lug nuts for the two months I've owned the vehicle, and it never had any problems before, but the moment they touched it the car was almost undrivable above 40km/h. please don't bring your car here unless you want them to break your car and lie to you about it. they do have a Mark's inside which is kinda cool.
Always great deals
I would never go to this auto service again. Left with stress and false advice. Our first visit - was a good experience, Rob at the service desk was helpful and friendly, he explained things easily and we selected tires and book in our change. The day of our tire change - after the tire service we were advise that the nuts and stud on all our tires were struggling to fit. They said it was probably due to the previous owner over torquing it, and if we were to take the tires off again we would not be able to get them back on because they are wrecked and needed replacing. Next day - we called for further explanation and a quote. We were told it would be more cost effective to change the entire hubs than replacing the stud and nuts, the quote came to $1000+. As we have left Canmore and are now in Kimberley BC, we got a town trusted mechanic to look at the problem, in the end it was only one stud and nut, not all of them, it cost us less than $200 to fix. I confirmed with him if the rest were ok for us to physical take on and off, he assured us we would be able too, so I am wondering why Canadian tire struggled? Inexperience? Or they had the case of I can't jam it on it's broken? This entire situation has left me infuriated. As a normal person who knows nothing about cars, you pay for a service and trust people to know how to do their jobs, to find out, they do not know how to do their jobs. Then you get the thought of how many people have been in the same situation and trusted their cars to Canadian tire to have paid $$$ to have "problems fixed" when there was no problem. Employ mechanics that know what they are doing / do not offer advice you do not know anything about. Worst service experience in my life.
Good shop, I found there everything what I needed ????
Not good. Either they are terribly understaffed or they just don't care. Seldom are you able to find knowledgable staff. Tried to make an appointment for an oil change. It took forever to get through by phone. The guy that answered was unable to make an appointment. He promised a call back that never came. Bought the Roadside Assistance online. We were charged for the Muti vehicle plan but only recieved single vehicle civerage. Still trying to sort that out. Never did get a second card.
A few weeks ago now.. it was -27 out and I had a dead battery in my Pathfinder and my toddler with me.. was able to get a jump to get it to the store. They replaced the battery but then told me the alternator needing replacing. They couldn't get one in til later in the day, it would cost another $500 or so. I said I couldn't wait since I had my baby with me, so I took the vehicle. Stressed out about breaking down on my way to Vancouver with my family in the car, I was able to get a hold of a voltmeter, and the alternator passed the test. Drove the 900km home and been driving the vehicle every day since with no issues. I also looked through my receipts and found out my old battery was only 2 years old! All it probably needed was a charge due to the cold weather. Very unimpressed.. with our so called iconic Canadian institution!! Trying to rip off unsespecting travelers like myself and my family.
I came in to purchase a fan for my husband for Christmas. Jonas went out of his way to find what was in stock and when I found the one I wanted, it was of course way up high on top of the shelving unit. So he went out of his way to grab the lift and get it down for me. He was a very courteous gentleman.
Great prices.
Got the bear spray we needed & the cashier who assisted us was a real gem (older lady). She had lots of tips/advice, and was very friendly.
Neat little place, very excellently organized, good staff willing to help at any moment.
Great store to find your small hardware needs.
Great overall
Typical Canadian tire. Friendly staff. Has a party city balloon section now due to the closure of the Dollar Store in town.
Great customer service at vehicle counter, did explain in detail about any product you are not sure about.
I know one of the managers there - she is pretty hot..
Everthing
Looking for help with our rv ( 5th wheel). They could not help.
Service is awful. Don't try and order online for pick-up! Super slow and 8 times out of 10 the product is either out of stock (even though online it says they have) or they can't find the location of the product. Probably the worst Canadian tire I've visited!
I am so grateful to have been able to receive exceptional customer service from store manager Deb this morning. She showed so much care and compassion and professionalism in processing a return. It feels great to be able to shop here with confidence. I lost my wedding ring and was hoping a metal detector would be the solution but they were inadequate. Even though the product was a disappointment the customer service was great. I would highly recommend this store to friends and family. I will be back to shop at this store.
Selection is great!
Aisles were very crowded and narrow.
Staff was not helpful at all, was looking for a bulb for my back tail light. He tried to sell me a whole new back light that you install with the plastic cover and all. Have not gone back since.
I had terrible service here. Very unimpressed with the girls working at the party booth. It took me over an hour to get 12 regular balloons for over $25 - all of them poped within 18 hours. They did not treat me nicely and were not helpful whatsoever. I would even drive an hour to Calgary to not have to go back again. Would not recommend.
Classic CT
Shop here all the time, very handy in the Bow Valley
One of the nicest Canadian tires going
I managed to bought what I am looking for upon store visit. However, this store is very compact compared to other Canadian Tire store. May be due to size. It is very confusing to find what you are looking for without asking help to a worker. This is just my experienced not representing others. Thanks
I had my tires rotated at this location. When I came back, as directed, to get a simple re-torque, they could not be bothered to take a half a minute or lend me a tire iron. My family and others depend on having my vehicle safe for the roads and they were not able perform a very simple but important task. Very disappointed in customer service at this Canmore location. Do not get your vehicle serviced here if care about your family’s safety as well as others on the roads.
Come here for almost anything. It can be difficult to find a staff member (it is a big store!) But they are usually very helpful when you do.
Auto staff was not that helpful..
This store had everything one might need. Great service too!
All the amenities of the big shitty in our small mountain town.
A lot of choices of auto related products at reasonal prices.
It looks like to me they have just about anything a man can want or woman
Rob in automotive was most helpful and got me a better deal on tires and followed up with me a couple times before they came in and when they arrived. He was great!
Had a flat tire and Canadian tire was fast and efficient. Thank you.
Terrible experience. We went to Canadian Tire because our engine light had turned on to ask if they could turn it off for us and run a partial diagnostic as we were fairly sure it was something minor related to our gas cap. The diagnostic was done and we were charged, but the engine light was not turned off and we were not allowed to speak to the mechanic directly. Although the girl at the desk was trying to be helpful it was clear that she did not have a clue as to what the problem was resulting in an overall negative customer service experience. We left without our problem having been addressed being told that we had to take our car to the VW dealer. The kicker is, we then went to another mechanic nearby who was extremely helpful, had the engine light off in 10 minutes (it has not subsequently come back on - it was just a minor issue as we suspected), and charged us a fraction of the price.
(Translated) Far too long for a simple oil change, and very poor customer service. I do not recommend. (Original) Bien trop long pour un simple changement d'huile, et un service à la clientèle très moyen. Je ne recommande pas.
Got more than what we came for. Hate it????
Generally clean, helpful staff, great selection of just about anything you need.
A little different setup for a Canadian tire store. Hard to find things.
Horrible!!! I wouldn't give one star but zero isn't a choice. My husband and I went into the Automotive Department to make an appointment to purchase and have winter tires installed. We told them what tires we wanted, they said they had 4 in stock and wanted to go make sure were actually there. We then waited 30 minutes only to have the person come back and say they couldn't find them but not to worry. They would order then in and make sure the tires would be there for our appointment 2 weeks later. We don't live in Canmore. I was coming out of Kamloops, grabbing my husbands truck from his job site outside Banff and taking the truck to Canmore for the tires. They knew this. I called the day before and the person who answered the phone said they would go check... here we go again... I was on hold for over 15 minutes when another person picked up and said they'd check. Another 10 minutes and I hung up and called the manager of the store. I explained to him that I was coming in from out of province for an appointment I'd made 2 weeks before and that the staff still couldn't find the tires. He said he'd get right on it... and have them call me right away. Two and a half hours later I received a message saying they had 2 of the tires and would call me when 2 more came in. We could then make another appointment. They would have to reorder them. My appointment was for the next day. No tires. Now it's 10 days later and I still haven't heard anything about the tires they ordered in. Horrible service from management down to the floor staff. I definitely would NOT go to the Canmore Canadian Tire for my vehicle needs.
Long overdue review - arrived mid September 18 & Winter had arrived the day before, a month early & we were quite unprepared especially in he feet department. There was snow all around. After being told to buy boots from Canadian tire, all the stock was still on the higher shelves, so a lovely man got the driving crane machine & got many pairs down for us to try. 2 adults & 3 - 12 year old triplets - took him 35 minutes - only half was through his help I realised he was the actual manager/owner, I told him we didn't need the owner to help, but no - he knew we would be walking all around Banff, LL & Jasper for 10 days and wanted to make sure we had OK boots. We did get great boots and we went on many amazing walks. The staff lady at the check out, (who was just a nice), said 'yeah - (he's a great boss)- well done to you two at Canadian tire - service over and above & we brought the kids boots home to Australia, they wanted to keep them because ' that lovely man got them for us !!" Fantastic service & another reason we want to return to fabulous Canmore
Great selection of products. Seasonal sections have a good variety and are well organized. This location has helpful friendly staff!!
Just wanted to mount a tire on a rim. Brought them in, was told it wouldnt be too long and they'd call when it was ready. Waited an hour and a half until we went back in and the first clerk hadn't put the work order through so nothing had been started. The second clerk was very nice and handled the situation very well, but after wasting two hours of my day and being told it would be another 30mins I took my business elsewhere.
11month old automotive battery with 4 year warranty failed. Denied warranty due to battery may have frozen... In Canada. Will not buy battery from them again. Waste of money.
A little bit smaller but still great to have a CT in Canmore!
Not in Canmore I don't. It's like asking a wall for help.
Amazing service! Jonathan was super helpful at the auto parts section. The best Canadian Tire I've been to ????
Expensive
You feel like you are in a different town rather than Canmore when shopping here. The customer service is so bad it's worth checking out. They could do an MBA case study on it.
Great service and friendly staff
DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. I could not state that any stronger. Incompetent mechanics unable to perform simple task. Management will not own up for there mistakes costing us alot of money with zero to show for it. They claimed to be able to fix parts for a set price. they tried to charge us more to have that work completed, Leaving us with half finished work on our car and out of pocket. Then more problems arose from the work that they claim to have done correctly weeks later. leaving us to get towed and pay the bill at another mechanic to have the same work done over again. over $2000 out of pocket from a $800 job.
Terrible service, left me waiting after they couldn't" fix" the problem and wouldn't call to give update when it is literally 15 min to patch a tire. Took 1.5 hours with me pestering only for them to try to upsell me when I had other tires at home. Go anywhere else if you can.
Whatever blonde young adult is working the curbside pick up today, you don't just yell YO behind someone's vehicle. Also, you gave us the wrong item. They are completely different, not sure how this got through more than one employee. Smh
Lots of choices on item
I should have read the reviews. Before I share my story, I must contextualise that I am a "backpacker" with a rather narrow budget, and made sure to get that idea (and respective needs/preferences) through, as I booked in for a very necessary oil change and tire rotation. I booked it at 9 am, worried that I couldn't make it back from my graveyard shift earlier. I made it back to Canmore at 8 am and they readily accepted to get started on it early, the "mechanic" being available - upon which I decided not to take the bus home and instead wait in the supermarket next door for an hour until it was done. An hour later I got a call saying they'd had a hic-up and hadn't even rolled in my car yet. Took the bus home, got a call 5h later notifying me that it was ready. Arrived in the store to a 175$ bill for: oil+filter change (120$), fluid check, air filter change (25$, unrequested, unless really necessary), tire rotation(30$), battery check (unrequested and unnecessary, since it was a week old - with this the mechanic damaged the cover of the terminal). Paid, got back to the car and noticed the Maintenance Required light hadn't been reset. Walked back to ask whether this had been overlooked or whether it was meant to remain lit - guy seemed confident and helpful at first, but the tricks he had up his sleeve didn't work. Went back in to check with the veteran mechanic, came back with a google search page and new ideas, to no avail. He told me to come back the next day so one of the veteran mechanics could turn off the Maint Req'd warning light. Drove home with peace of mind, clean oil and tires where I wanted them - so I thought. Got home and looked at the tires, only to realize they hadn't been changed. Drove back to the store, told the front desk lady the tire rotation I paid for hadn't been done, upon which she asked "how can you tell?". I should ask, how can so much go wrong in the most basic of car services? 175$ and time frustratingly wasted for... an oil change. Hopefully nothing goes wrong when I go back there tomorrow.
Total rip off. I was on a cross Canada trip towing a trailer when I developed a noise in one of my brakes. Went to the Canmore CT to have it inspected. They removed all four wheels and told me I needed $1100 worth of brake work. They tried to scare me by telling me that it would be extremely dangerous to drive in the mountains in this condition. I had previously had the brakes inspected by a Ford dealer before I left and was assured everything was OK. I did not proceed with the work and went to the Ford dealer down the road for a second opinion. I was told by the Ford dealer that the inspection revealed no issues with the brakes. Later in the trip a 3rd inspection by a Ford dealer revealed no problems with the brakes.
They need to have more service shop staff and mechanics on duty on weekends. Like many of the other reviews mention, lots of out of town visitors pass through here and may run into car troubles, especially at the beginning of a weekend, yet the auto service department was completely overwhelmed with calls, lineups, etc. Neither the service advisor nor the general manager seems to have any empathy for customers in a bind. A second mechanic should be on duty to service walk in clients. At least 2 other customers were in a similar situation as me - in a car unsafe to drive, somewhere to be, and no other shops open in town. Lots of stress with no sense of understanding or customer service from the staff at this location. I would be willing to pay a premium for emergency service and I bet lots of other people would as well.
Ok
Very bad customer service. We were traveling to banff with our small child and in Canmore had a tire puncture. Reached this Canadain tire on Sunday evening and they refused fixing the puncture saying " we are busy till next friday ". They had " Good luck " to say to us Not at all expected from a brand like Canadain tire
(Translated) I went to Canmore with the rear bumper broken and broken in one corner. I wanted them to help me solve it efficiently and economically ... I saw with my own eyes when an employee threw the bumper down and opened the corner .. I do not seem at all reliable! If you go, do not leave your car .. let them know about your bad reputation and that you will look at everything they do.
That shop sells all manor of things.
Kool place
Helpful staff. Lots of useful camping product
Had everything I needed easy to find. Plenty of car parking spaces.
Staff need to realize their job is customer service, looked online before going into Canmore and it said plenty of stock for the item I was looking for. Went to the aisle nothing there, tracked down a staff member who looked on the shelf where I said there wasnt any and said well I guess we don't have any. If your stock levels are off correct them and inform your staff that overstock rooms exist for a reason and to use them, customers should not have to request that staff go look for the item in the back, that is just laziness and a lack of customer service.
The manager at the auto shop was great really helped me out with a dodgy break light connection it just needed an experienced hand to fix it wish I knew his name so I could give him a shout out!
If you want to be in the canadian tire waiting room for 2 hours and leave at 4:30 when your appointment was at 2:30 for a 5 minute job, you're in luck.
James (GM?) Was super accommodating and helpful. Deborah provided superior friendly customer service paying attention to every detail and Sonja (customer service) was also friendly and efficient!
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a vehicle service shop. Long lines, not enough knowledgeable staff at front desk, even less staff in the shop, no mechanics in on weekends, no call backs as promised etc. etc etc. Promised service completion times missed - not by hours - but by days!!! Forget about talking to management - they think there is no problems?!? This whole place needs an "overhaul"!!
Great Service in the RV department
Bought something and realized after that we were overcharged. Immediately went to customer service and with only one person working took almost 15 minutes to figure it out. Not the cashiers fault but at the end of the day when you have a line up at customer service you should have a second person to be able to provide at least prompt customer service! Overall products in store not priced properly and inadequate customer service.
Service department was amazing! Our family was driving back from Kelowna to Saskatchewan, we blew a tire on the highway and they looked after us promptly!
Well stocked store, their app worked perfectly on inventory and what aisle I would find what I was looking for. Staff were busy but friendly.
Helpful staff at a Canadian Tire! Friendly and answered questions. Beats the service in any other branch easily.
I went there because I had a headlight burnt out the guys were going to go for lunch but they stayed and changed the bulbs for me...Thank You
Good selection
I have given this business many chances as a customer because I want to support my local stores in Canmore but it just keeps getting worse. Very rude and terrible attitude from automotive staff that just makes you question why you even go there. Also, they will try everything possible to make something your fault despite it being clearly not just to avoid giving you a refund. You have completely lost my business. I will buy from Amazon or go elsewhere going forward.
Service is really nice
Amazing
I have given myself 3 days to wind down from a disappointing experience at the Canadian Tire Auto Repair, and still feel this review is warranted after this time, so have decided to post. I booked my car in to have new summer tires and rims fitted. I was given a quote which I felt was reasonable, and booked my car in. About an hour later, I received a call to discuss adding tire pressure sensors, which were installed on my winter tires and a function of my car. I was advised by phone that a set of 4 would cost me a total of $52, and I agreed to add them to the quote. I arrived on the day and found that I had been misquoted, it was $52 per sensor, not per set. The person I had spoken to over the phone was there and apologetic, saying he had misunderstood and misquoted. No problem - he was a new staff member who made a mistake, I totally understand it happens. I discussed with another staff member whether I would need these sensors for the $208 it would cost - the only issue if I didn't have them would be I would have a warning light on my dash saying low tire pressure. I was 50/50 whether to take them or not, but decided to go ahead with this purchase. When I returned to pick up my car, I had been overcharged $76 (after taxes). I reviewed the quote and the invoice, and found a more expensive set of sensors had been installed - despite no contact with me or authorization by me for this to happen - and I was expected to pay the extra charge. Canadian tire had my contact number, they just made no effort to contact me. I was informed that the sensors I had been quoted for were not compatible with my vehicle (which is a VERY common vehicle in the Bow Valley area), so they had installed a more expensive set of sensors. Having already questioned whether I needed these for the initially quoted cost, I asked why I had not been contacted before a more expensive product had been installed in my car. I was simply told 'The motoring authority allow us to charge up to $100 more than quoted'. Simple as that. I suggested we work something out, as I had not agreed to the extra cost. I was told 'If you don't want them, we will take them back out - but you will have to wait around for the work to be done. It will be about 45 minutes'. I explained I had plans that afternoon and did not have time to wait this long. The technician simply shrugged as if to say 'Not my problem'. Not wanting to cancel my plans for that afternoon, I was left with no option but to pay the extra cost. Had I been contacted and the options available discussed BEFORE they were installed, I may not have chosen to install these sensors, an extra $76 after taxes - costing nearly $300 in total when I walked in having been quoted $52 by phone. I was left angry and let down by my experience with Canadian Tire - not so much at the extra charges I had to pay, but by the uncaring attitude of the staff member I dealt with, and the lack of integrity shown with regards to their customer service. I would have been happy if we could 'meet in the middle somewhere', which I had suggested, but they were totally uninterested in a mutually beneficial resolution. I left having paid the full price on the invoice, but needless to say, I will not be returning, preferring to take my business somewhere else where more integrity will be shown with what they do. I have heard similar reviews regarding the Canadian Tire in Canmore - I would suggest others take their business elsewhere too.
The customer service here is terrible. We checked online to see if they had the wheels we needed for our car, called in to ensure they were there and then drove in to Canmore, where the service agent either couldn't find them in their own stock room or had inputted the wrong number in the system. Since they weren't at the store, we ordered them to be shipped to the Canmore location and waited three weeks for a call to let us know they were in. Eventually we called them only to learn they had arrived and we had just never been contacted.
So we hit a curb and popped the side wall of our tire on a Sunday so we had slim pickings of where to go. Luckily Canadian tire was open and Rob was working. He went above and beyond what he had to do to get us back on the road again. If you're ever in an emergency with your car I would 110% recommend this candian tire location.
To the vehicle service side Went to get our vehicle serviced and a insurance inspection completed here due to a humming noise coming from the drivetrain. was told we needed to CV joints after a $1000 bill we where happy until we drove out. Drivetrain still humming. Obviously no one checks their vehicles after being worked on. Went to a different mechanic and was told our wheel bearing was shot. The fact that this was also for an insurance inspection is appaling. You can't charge for the same as other mechanics in town when you aren't competent. Thanks for wasting my time and money will definitely never be back!
Clean well stocked, knowledgeable staff, friendly, locally owned.
Not allowing dogs
Arie in the balloon ???? section is super amazing in customer service ! (The review comes from a hotelier with 15 years plus experience with reputed hotels worldwide ). Please compliment her service ! (I think she’s from New Zealand, just to clear any confusion if there are more than one Aries)
Worst Canadian tire I’ve ever been to. Limped my car in and they couldn’t even look at it for me or help me remove my battery to test it. The poor girl at the front had to go to her car and get a wrench!!!! At a canadian tire!!
Canadian tire, is what it is. Smaller than some
Service is good.. and it's close to other services..
Friendly staff, were nice enough to recommend restaurants to us from out of town.
Always great service!
Great staff great service
Great for tires and great for canadians
Tried to get my vehicle inspected, was called 10 minutes after I dropped the car off because the technician couldn’t get the car to start. This has never been an issue with my car, I went back and started the car immediately. I showed the technician who was obviously very uncomfortable being shown by a woman what to do and had a very bad attitude about it even though I was very polite. Left the car running and got a call later saying they had not been able to start the car for an hour and that they could no longer do the inspection. When I went back the car started straight away again for me and was in the exact same position where I left it. The guy obviously turned the engine off as soon as I left and pretended it didn’t work. The guy also didn’t latch the hood of my car which I didn’t notice and it flew up on the highway and I almost crashed. I can’t help but feel like he did it on purpose. Major incel vibes! Would definitely not recommend any women to come here, I am very shaken up after this experience
Love Canadain store
Not the biggest store but the staff are friendly and helpful.
Good supply
Very Conjugated store with Mark work house
We had a flat tire and needed to go back to Edmonton, the service we received from Bob was outstanding he had us back on the road within an hour.
Was on the road back to Vancouver and had a flat tire. Went to the store at opening and was informed that they were all booked up until 3:00pm. I was then told that they couldn't replace just one tire, they had to do at least two and recommended all four. I had to get to Vancouver that night so I agreed and pleaded with them to do it as soon as they could. They said they were all booked up. I wandered around town for 2 hours and ended up finding Can-Bow motors. They told me they could do it right away and they would only charge me for one tire. I went back to Canadian tire and a different clerk asked why I was leaving when it would only take them 15 minutes to complete the tire change and that they would do it right away. I left livid. These people are crooks.
I've heard many a horror story about the auto department, but in the main area we had 2 very kind women help us, without even asking. They were kind and friendly and the store had everything we needed!
Decent
Thank you to the young man at the auto parts counter Monday January 18, for helping find the right fuse needed for my vehicle. There weren't any out on the shelf or in the back but he went out of his way to find me one. Thank you for going the extra step
Terrible all around service!! Went for a simple seasonal tire change today, waited an hour and ten minutes. Then asked to cancel and leave due to how long it was taking. Customer service lady told me she would get it in right away for me as it was still sitting in the parking lot... 20 minutes MAX and it will be ready to go. So i gave it another chance. Sure enough, im in line again 40 minutes later to ask hiw long my car will be. The man notices it has been ready for the past little while as it was sitting in the check out box already. He passed me off to another lady to pay and i had to ask her to hurry because she was also very distracted. This whole experience was a horrible waste of time and a rip off. I would never have refered anybody there in the first place, but even something as simple as a seasonal tire change . DONT GO TO CANADIAN TIRE!!!!!
Terrible pick up service, unhelpful staff.
Very helpful staff. Easy to find what I was looking for
No stocks
Store pick-up is faulty, did not receive email confirmation on the order and did not receive ready for pick-up email as well. My order got cancelled without me knowing and only thing they can tell me is they're having trouble with their system. The store-pick up system is so slow that I'd rather go to the store and buy it myself.
Sold HDMI cables.
Got what I want here, and no where else, I was looking for hose in Jasper, Banff and everywhere finally got here Thanks
Tried in store pickup, was ignored by multiple staff for over 20 minutes. Told it was because I was making a return, I was not. Cancelled my order and left. Beautiful store, terrible service.
If only i could give this dump 0 stars. Terrible customer service, shoddy workmanship, dont take your vehicle here. Please go elswhere, you have been warned
Good selection,
No one around to ask for help finding stuff but the lady at the till did help me out
Terrible auto parts and service. Lost the work sheet for our vehicle which left my wife hanging around for hours with 2 kids. They don't communicate very well.
(Translated) They wouldn't trade me for a $ 15 curtain pole that was too small, because the plastic / package was open. I bought it yesterday with an invoice for $ 700. I was very unhappy (Original) Il n'ont pas voulu m'echanger une pôle à rideau de 15$ qui était trop petite, parce que le plastique /package était ouvert. Je l'ai acheté hier avec une facture de 700$. J'étais très mécontente
Just an other normal Canadian tire staff very friendly
Nice store had everything I needed
Poor work quality
Functions as the big box store for the area, also one of the few affordable clothing options (Mark's). It's relatively small so the shelves are really high.
This the worst managed store that I have ever come across in my life. NEVER stepping foot in that garbage place again! READ THIS. The GM (James) and owner (Pat) are dreadful!!! I went to the store to buy a few things. I was looking at vacuums on Amazon but noticed a good sale so I took a closer look. There was a sign saying returns on used vacuums are only acceptable if it is defective. So I confirmed with their staff who informed me that I can return the vacuum for a "refund or an exchange if I wanted to" if the vacuum is defective. So i decided to buy the vacuum. Within a few minutes of using the vacuum the next day it began smoking and smelling like something was burning and it stopped picking up any dirt. So, I called the store again and I was again told that I can return it and get a "refund or exchange it for something else" since it is defective. I returned to the store with the defective vacuum a few hours after speaking to that staff member and went to the customer service desk. The lady at the desk called the store manager for the return. This is when it all went down hill. The store manager was extremely rude and was only looking to create conflict and argue. I told him that I spoke to his staff who confirmed that I can get a refund and that I have a phone recording app so he can hear the conversation if he wanted to. I played the recording for him and all the staff around him on speaker phone. Once the call was over, this combative manager accused me of turning the volume down so that his staff member's response could not be heard! I explained to him that phone recording apps don't always record the sound of the other party as loud as the person who is making the recording. I re-played the audio, showing him that the volume was on max, and gave him my phone to put close to his ear. He did so and later confirmed that he heard his staff member confirm several times that I can get a refund for the defective vacuum. You would think that at this point someone would apologize but not this guy, he kept arguing trying desperately to be in the right and refused to issue a refund despite agreeing to it moments earlier when he threw his hands up and said that he will issue a refund since I was "not listening" (he kept interrupting me and then asking me to let him finish, called me stubborn for asking for what I had been promised, and just finished accusing me of putting the volume down to insinuate that I was trying to cheat them of something - in front of the entire store! ). He denied knowing anything about the sign in the vacuum isle. So, after the refund was issued, I walked back to that isle and took a picture of that sign and showed it to him. He immediately stated that the sign should not be have been there and that he understood my point better but when I asked him if he was at any fault for what I just went through he began backtracking so i just left. When I was outside 2 different customers came up to and told that I handled that well and that they were so bothered that they wanted to file complaints. I called the General Manager who was by FAR, was the WORST excuse for a GM I have ever seen. This guy, James, made every excuse in the book and blamed me for "not reading the receipt" despite telling him that I inquired with staff BEFORE i even made the purchase (and after) and was told that I can get a refund. He made several insulting comments and I told him that I was recording our conversation to which he said that they were too. I filed a complaint with corporate and spoke to the store owner Pat the next day. The incompetence and disrespect runs at the highest levels of that store. Pat was extremely rude telling me that I was making accusations right off the bat. I asked him if he listened to the recording and he denied that his GM said that to me. I told him that I had that entire call recorded. He got irate and asked if I was recording this call as well to which I said yes. Pat told me that I couldn't do that without his consent which I told him was not true but he kept yelling and that was it.
CANMORE Canadian Tire Auto - they saved us from unnecessarily spending $1360 on a part and repair that was NOT needed at all! We just moved to Alberta from BC and our car had to undergo an OOPI. We did it in one of Banff shops and were failed and quoted $1360 for fixing an apparent leak. We knew something was off as we did a pre-OOPI back in BC a few days before we left to see what we need to be prepared for and a tie rod leak was none of the worries. We even called our mechanic back in BC (SMD, if any of you ever move to Whistler - they are awesome) after we got our OOPI results and they confirmed they did not notice anything. We popped in to Canadian Tire in Canmore on Friday evening, like 4:40pm so almost right before they were about to close and explained the situation. Dave, CT Auto in Canmore manager said they could perform a quick check on our car right away and afterwards he said it looked like an old residing oil not the power steering fluid at all. We booked an appointment for a proper check and clean up and re-inspection on Monday and just like Dave suspected and what we suspected (we had an oil leak from the pan when we bought the car - it was fixed but apparently not cleaned up) and what SMD suspected back in BC - there was no leak from power steering components! You guys saved us from spending huge amount of money on something that was not even there. Thank you!
Huge shout out to jonathan from auto parts section very knowledgeable and helpful he spent 10 mins to explain everything and had answers to all the questions …
Great staff especially at the parts and service counter.
CT is fantastic I always love just walking threw the isle it's so funny how many times I've been stopped tho.... Do you guys get stuff stolen alot? Almost every time I'm in I have to leave my backpack (it's my day bag, it's full of stuff including my wallet....) If I walk threw a CT I get asked almost Everytime to put my bag at the front. I could understand if I had a empty bag or a bag that could fit something from ct, but I carry a 10L day bag it's not big... Yet Everytime I come in or am walking around they make me feel like I'm stealing..... Not cool
Great experience with honest, knowledgeable and friendly staff. In particular, Armin was a big help. I bought a set of tires and had them in stalled & balanced. Having just bought a used Nissan Rogue with 69,000 km and largely unknown service history I inquired about servicing the transmission, brakes & fluid, engine coolant, etc. I was set to spend quit a bit of money, but Armin and the guys inspected my car thoroughly, checked out the specs and recommendations and told me I did not need to spend another penny on the car except for an air filter, which they installed with no extra labor cost. Very honest and the cost was reasonable. Highly recommended.
Have to say this Canadian tire has really great customer service
Actually, I have been going to this place for years and never had an issue. However, yesterday one of his employees was nothing but rude to me .I guess he was just too lazy and grumpy to give the proper customer service. He got annoyed when I asked him politely if he work there and could help me to find a particular product. Then after I politely insisted ,he showed me and took me to the aisle where the product is.However, because my eyesight is not the best and I was trying to find a specific product that I could not see it at first sight,I tried to ask one more question..and his answeer was like.."what else do you want ,I just showed it to you "in a rude way before I could explain myself clearly.Obviouly this gentleman needs to put away his personal drama when is at work.No need to act in the store like that because he os not giving a good image at all.
The store charges $10 to have your wheels retorqued. Ridiculous!
Nice hunting section

I was driving to Jasper from Calgary and noticed my windshield broken. I passed by Canmore Auto and the CSR helped me with it. I thought I got the wrong product because I can mot install but he came out and helped me. Oh what a man! I greatly appreciate that man. It made my trip enjoyable specially with that rain on the way.
They don’t call you when works done
Wonderful place
Really absent customer service. Seems severely understaffed as well.
Instead of just telling us they don't accept returns/exchanges of plants (another staff told us they do), we were insulted with "first of all, you bought these from another store so that's fishy. And if we accept these, then you'll just return them again when they die."
The Canadian Tire in Canmore was very good and the service was great
Tried calling the tire center multiple times, to be hung up on twice, not answered and then sent to different departments, worst customer service!
Great service
Underground parking, Free WiFi, Big place, living the dream.
Just passing through Canmore, and my car started making a very concerning noise and I wanted to get it checked out asap in case it would cause serious damage. Tasha at the Auto Service helped me out enormously and squeezed me in to get my car looked at. It ended up being an easy fix and she charged me accordingly and fairly! It was such a relief to have that sorted and with great customer service as well!! Thank you!
Same as any store
Regular Customer. I frequent this location. If you're not familiar with CTC; here's a few quick pointers. Most employees are part-time with no motivation. Good Managers are hard to find. If they're truly dedicated? They're working somewhere else, getting paid more. The good ones at this location should be treasured by upper management. Auto Service here has recently taken a 180 with a manager that actually gives a damn. Her team is somewhat crackpot, but what do you expect for minimum wage (or damn close to it). Especially in a town that you can't find a room for cheaper than $1200. That's a single paycheck for most of these employees. Regardless, if your a prissy Benz or BMW owner? Go take your car somewhere else. If you're a know-it-all with not much time ("I could've done this myself, in half the time") there's the door. If you're a patient person who just needs a bit of help; you'll find somebody around here to do just that. Trust me other locations are bare bones with no staff to be seen for miles. Not saying you won't end up with a few grease smudges on your steering wheel. But, just think how motivated you would be for minimum wage. Get the picture?
I needed help with their online shopping and the management staff of both Linda and Matt were stellar ! I hope to make more online purchases in the future. Thank you again so much Linda and Matt ! Best, Sue in Banff
(Translated) Very bad experience, I would have given 0 stars. I brought my vehicle for an unusual noise related brake inspection, then the inspection took 3 hours rather than 1 hour and my car came out in a much worse condition than it was. The sound my car makes is made terrible, even 1,000,000X worse than it was. The mechanics did not want to assume their responsibility, then when I asked the manager for assistance, he was of no help. The manager only followed me to listen to me speak with the mechanic and then concluded this terrible experience with a simple "sorry". I was able to drive my car to the Canadian Tire without a problem, but I'm afraid I will have to leave with the tow truck ... Very very very disappointed and their manager really does not manage much. Experience 0/10. The noise my car makes is excruciating, everyone turns around and people even looked under our car while we were driving, they were so in shock. Oh and I forgot! they left the driver's door unlocked while my car is my mobile home for the summer so with valuable goods in it .... 0/10 once again (Original) Très mauvaise expérience, j'aurais donné 0 étoiles.
Very clean for A Canadian tire
The Canmore store was a fantastic. I drove all the way out from Calgary for my item that no other store had. The people were super helpful.
Was at Canadian Tire today trying to find new life jackets for my 4 and 6year old who happen to be in between child and youth sizes. We were helped by a young man by the name of Jonah who went above and beyond to try and meet our needs. Very impressed with the level of service with a smile he provided.
Service department was very slow needs more staff
Had a issue with my truck. Got me in right away while on vacation. Great service at there auto department.
Five star staff and service! Armin at the auto shop was so friendly and helpful, checking in to ensure I was all set in the waiting room. The service manager made sure I was getting the best deal possible and truly went above and beyond to help. Fast and efficient, highly recommend!
Great place to shop, have everything I require
I drove in to Canmore from Lake Louise to get a new battery for my car. I went to the auto section and was immediately greeted by Xander. Not only did Xander price match everything and explain the details about the battery he went one step further and grabbed me his tools from his car so I could install the new battery in the parking garage below. I had dislocated my shoulder 3 weeks ago so trying to install a new battery was extremely difficult. 30 minutes to an hour later I returned the tools to Xander who was nothing short of polite and genuine. When I went to leave the parking garage I noticed that my right rear tire was flat.... Up to the store to see Xander again. He took me to the air pressure section and explained what I should do and how to do it. I went back to my car to put my spare on and he had followed me down and told me he was here to help. Xander did the whole thing while my girlfriend and I just watched and cheered. He continued to make us laugh while changing the tire and giving me some advice on what to expect. Xander, you saved our entire night with your generosity and kindness. Regardless of the Christmas season you treated us like family. Thank you for all your help and thank you to Canadian Tire for hiring him. Enjoy your holidays!
Never any issues here
Great service showed up with a broken belt in my tire at 15 to shift finish on a sunday and got it reolaced no problem.
Decent setup considering Covid precautions. Staff is carrying very positive attitude.

Good tool shopping
After researching winter tires for our 2 vehicles, I had decided to order them from this location as it is my local store. I had found 2 full sets, which stated they were in stock at this location. Other sets that I perused here, would say out of stock, please check other stores. I purchased the tires, $1700.00, on October 24th and was emailed back that they would be ready for curbside pickup on October 29th. When I called them October 30th to see if they were there, the person told me he was too busy and that he could call me back or I could come into the store to inquire. Today is November 2nd. I went into this location, spoke with the front counter gentleman, he looked up my order and stated it was in transit. I asked if he could provide an ETA as I had upcoming appointments to get the tires put on rims and balanced, based on my confirmation to pick up the tires. He simply stated, no. I asked, could it be a month, a week or a day or two, and he stated 'yes. I then asked him why I had a confirmation for my purchase for the 29th of October for pickup and that when I purchased them on the 24th of October, they where in stock at this specific store. He told me that they may have sold them. I had purchased 2 sets of rims at the same time and picked up over a week ago from Canadian Tire. I will be returning them this week and find them elsewhere.
Armin at the automotive desk really saved my bacon today. Was able to find a set of hard to find tires for my vehicle and even saved me me alot of money while doing it. I'd rate the customer service here 15/10 if I could. Me and my Volvo couldn't be happier today. Thanks Armin! I assure you I'll be back again soon.
Don’t go near automotive, lined up for 20 minutes and the “automotive service advisor” was clueless about automotive parts. Finally found the part I needed after asking 3 other staff members. Said there was 3 in stock then went looked for the part came back 20 minutes later saying none in stock... what a waste of an hour! Went to Napa had the part in 5minutes
Poor
Great service and really good food. Love their burger and beer special...
Overpriced service department. Most expensive labour rate at $140. They charged me $40 in labour for a headlamp replacement - something that would take me 5-10 minutes to do myself - Absolutely ridiculous! Go to the other local auto service providers in canmore or drive to Calgary. Straight robbery
EDIT: 3 days later after a conversation with one of their "we Care" team members my issue was resolved beyond my expectations. Thank you Canadian Tire. Sold me a bad automotive battery, wouldn't warranty because it is frozen (of course its frozen, its -30 outside and it wont hold a charge). Wont go back!! will take my business to Home Hardware.
Staff aren't productive
It took 5h to finish my changing tires... Which means left this full term pregnant woman with 2 young kids for 5h without car. I dropped my car and went back in 2h as a guy told me. My car hadn't move one bit, and tried to find out what was going on. It took me 30min to talk to somebody at auto centre. Then they told me my form was not in a bin. Even the engineer couldn't tell where my tires were even though I ordered at their store. They don't communicate each other at all. Their computer is always slow and their customer service is terribly slow too.
Boosted my car, and gave me some helpful advice
Jennifer who work at the desk is super friendly but the guy who try to fix my radio is incapable and incompetent.
Canadian Tire
(Translated) The staff is very rude and gives only very short answers / information. Actually, it's a do-it-yourself business where you have to do everything yourself, which takes a lot of time. In the end, we even had to take a ladder to take our wanted product off the shelf. Even the employees who had previously "advised us" ran past us. (Original) Das Personal ist sehr unfreundlich und gibt nur sehr knappe Antworten/Auskünfte. Eigentlich ist es ein `Do it yourself` Geschäft, indem man alles selber machen muss, was viel Zeit braucht. Wir mussten sogar schlussendlich eine Leiter nehmen, um unser gesuchtes Produkt vom Regal zu nehmen. Dabei lief sogar die Angestellte an uns vorbei, die uns zuvor "beraten" hatte.
Excellent service!

very bad auto service. i took for the oil change I was charged but the service was not done they apologize and did the service again but I lost the confidence
Good vibe, helpful staff
I was fortunate to find an air conditioning system before the heat wave was truly underway . And I had help putting it on the back seat of my car
This store carries everything! And the employees are so helpfull. The Marks in the store is a great added bonus. Easy fast check out is always nice.
Well set up.
Came in for tire change and rims switch. Bought steel rims for winter tires asked if since they were switching those rims if they could just add those rims on. They said no. They told me my summer tires had weather cracks in them but couldn’t tell me any reasons or conditions rhat may have cause them. The tires were 2013 but only used for 1 year in the road and stored indoors so I’m not sure how that can happen. Forced to buy new tires there because they already had my vehicle hoisted up. Asked if they could remove one of the rim Inserts in 4 tires since I bought new rims and tires now and they said no. So now I’m well over 1000 dollars in rims tires and services all for comming for tire changeover. No Empathy whatsoever from the service team and no explanation for the causing of the weather in, even though they switched those tires for me in December and didn’t mention anything. Please avoid going to this Canadian Tire for vehicle services because they will charge you as much as they can because they can. Will never do services here again.
I had the Sports Supervisor served me and was so impressed with his service. He brought my item to the service area and after I cashed out, he offered to do a carry out. Highly recommend
Good.
Nice staff and has a marks work Warehouse inside
Terrible experience with a blonde manager
Faster to drive from Banff to Canmore to ask them a question than it is to call. Not that you'll get much help once you get there either.
The one star is purely for the auto service. My experience was horrible, it cost a fortune, they lost parts, and in the end I had to take it somewhere else. Very difficult to deal with.
This is place is usually on point, but i dont know if they got new staff and i have a 4 or 5 cars to bring in. Brought the first car in, not happy with the communication or timing. I dont think ill go with someone else for the rest of the vehicles.
Worst customer service ever!!
