I went to this B&L store on the beginning of winter 2012 to search for a new winter tire set. They offered me a higher price than their competitors, but the sales person lied to me with a platinum service, where promise to exchange your winter and summer set of tires twice every year as long last the tires you purchase with them. That is a huge lie, because instead of give you the service, they give you a fake 50% off. They charged me today $135.00 dollars for a tire exchange. I don't recommend this place to any situation, even emergency, because they will rob you with their lies.

I always take my mounted tires to Blaskin & Lane to be repaired for leaks, they always do a fast and efficient repair, and they remount the tire and rebalance the wheel, and they call me quickly when it's done, Ive never had a problem with thier service and I will return.

Took my Buick in for assessment of rattling noise in left rear wheel area immediately after hearing noises like a helicopter was in my truck. I thought it might have something to do with the brakes or the wheel bearings. I was about to travel the Rogers Pass and Coquihalla, and wanted to ensure that the car was safe to drive. Mechanic indicated that the noise could not be heard. I was told the brakes were checked and were fine. They pulled the muffler shield off the muffler and thought the issue was just a crazy Dame hearing noises I guess. I got the car home to Sooke BC. The pin on the rear brake caliper had sheared off and the pads and caliper now need to be replaced as well as the brake rotors. I don't know how the mechanic at Blaskin and Lane could have said the brakes were fine when a pin was sheared off? Had this been caught when I took it in the rotors would not need to be replaced. My repair bill has now been quadrupled. PLEASE, when someone entrusts their vehicle to your care, take the time to take their concerns seriously.

Excellent customer service from all the staff we came across here! My kids inherited their grandpas car, which came from a warmer climate. We brought it in to be winterized, meaning get fluids changed and a block heater installed. We were prepared to do all this when the gentleman called 2 hours later and said “good news, car is finished. Already had a block heater in it” Long story short, they tested fluids, rerouted the cord and tested the block heater and charged us absolutely nothing to do all this! We appreciate them being so honest with us. Highly recommend them.

Dropped in on a busy day I realize, and had one single loose tire to flip mount and balance as it was a directional tire. I went in to pick up, and was quite shocked at the cost. I had a long drive ahead to Fort McMurray so I asked if it was possible to mount the wheel on my vehicle by chance. I was met with a sarcastic "No way, That's Impossible!" I like to support local business, but this cost was triple my usual Edmonton tire shop, and I felt the counter guy was actually happy to turn me away. When I got home and installed the wheel, I noticed that the valve stem was not even replaced at the elevated cost. Very disappointing service unfortunately. Since I drive long distances, hopefully a new tire valve will be installed when they are not so busy. ????

We stopped in on our way back to BC on the 20th of Sep, after attending a funeral. We knew the van was due for an oil change, plus we wanted the tire pressure checked so we hoped they could fit us in. They took us right in. They were prompt in getting at it, personable, thorough and added 'extras' to the servicing. The price was reasonable. They have a nice layout to their waiting area and service bays - a nice place to sit and eat our 'fast food' breakfast while watching the progress of the job. I tried tipping, having seen the detailed way the job was done - refused. The service agent said, 'it's the way we do our work.' Needless to say my wife and I headed off feeling very good about their attentive work.

There is a chance I have never had the level of service that I had here. In maybe any context. On the way to our wedding in BC I had a blowout on a Saturday afternoon. I called a few shops who could help me on Monday or later in the week which was not helpful. Orest at tirecraft said he would check if he had our tires in stock. He called to say they did but he had to see if his driver was still working. He called to say that his driver was off but that he would pick the tires up personally while we were on our way into town. Shortly after arrival orest informed us the wheel lock key was missing. Orest could have chosen to say we needed to sort this out later in the week. Instead he called the local dealerships to get a key for our wheels. He ended up getting a shop kit from a dealership and even used his own card to put down a deposit. He also informed us he would return the kit for us as he knew we would be out of town for our wedding. Once he was able to get the wheels off he had extra help for our car to ensure we could be on our way to our wedding as soon as possible. Based on this experience I would highly recommend that you try to use this place for your tire needs. They are friendly and committed to helping find solutions for people. The shop was very clean (we spent time in there trying to find the wheel lock key). Most of the staff were friendly and tried to check in with us to see how it was going. Again, I really think place like this should be supported.

Got a screw in sidewall of my tire. Happened after work so stopped in to get help..any help and was refused!! To busy. I have purchased a few sets of new tires from them .Wont ever again .I was basically stranded and guy at sales desk was not willing to even offer any solution and was rude to boot. I went in because I needed new front tires. Service was friendly and we got some new tires ordered in from the warehouse. They had my car done within the time expected, but installed the wrong tires even after myself and the salesperson decided on a specific set. The response I got from the sales person was "Well you got a good product anyways." This is the last time I ever shop at Blaskin & Lane.

They did a good enough job of changing to winter tires for my car, however, I got a bad vibe from the moment I walked in to pick up my car. The guy at the counter was barking at the techs to get back in the garage, the service was overpriced (I called Fountain Tire after to hear their all in price being $60 lower for the same tire swap), and they didn't need put my lugnut covers back on. They were left in the front seat for me to do when I got home.

Everytime you go here they find hidden charges. The platinum warranty they sell you is not worth it, they tell you you get all these services included with the package and 50% off others but then they find exceptions that they swear they "told" you about but is not in the actual warranty wording anywhere. Just tried to drop off my car to have my winter tires put on after trying to call to get an appointment earlier this week. Gentleman was rude, and abrupt that they open at 730 and should have been there to get in the line up! Had I been told when I called(earlier in the week) be there by 730 or else, I WOULD have. Meanwhile there is a gentleman in front of me and he promptly gets his service by the end of the day after walking in in front of me, no appointment necessary. Maybe I should have had my husband come in with me, and I would have been treated with the same respect and attention. It was a different story earlier in the year when I purchased tires from them! Just lost a customer. Maybe I should have mentioned that we own a business that purchases thousands of dollars in tires/year?

I took my 2006 Audi S4 to Blaskin & Lane on 16th Avenue to get new tires put on. I have $3,000 19" OEM Audi RS4 rims on the car. I called ahead to make sure their machine was touchless and told the manager when I got there that the rims were like new with no scratches of any kind on them. When I picked up the car nothing was mentioned but I inspected the rims before I left. Three of the rims had 0.5" x 0.5" chunks of paint missing on the lips and one of them had 4" x 0.25" of paint missing along the edge of the rim. All of the rims had swirl marks in the face of the rim and gouges deep in the metal in the bolt holes. I have never seen anything like it. I asked the manager to look at it and he said "the paint just popped off" when the tires were inflated. I showed him the gouges in the metal under where the "paint popped off". It was obvious that they were tool marks. To their credit Blaskin & Lane did pay to have the rims repaired but of course they will never be like new. Another pain in the butt was all the glue that was left on the rims from the old weights. I finally got around to cleaning it off today and found Blaskin & Lane uses screwdrivers to remove old weights. It’s nice to have the glue off but the big gashes in the paint and metal are pretty noticeable. If you own anything you care about take it to Fountain Tire, Blaskin & Lane are butchers.

I needed new winter tires for my 2020 SUV and shopped around online for the best price on Michelins. I have always bought Michelin X-ice for my other vehicles and trust them and was pleased to see Tirecraft had the lowest price compared to all the competition. But Dave at Tirecraft convinced me to look hard at the TOYO winter tire which was a bit cheaper plus it had a $70 factory gift card offer. I went in to have a hard look and Dave took the time to explain the different tires and was not pushy at all. I wound up buying the Toyo's with new rims and sensors and I cannot be more happy. The ride is much smoother than the all weather Continentals that came with my SUV. On Nov 7//2020 Spruce Grove got the first big snow storm and driving around was magic with the Toyo's. Acceleration, stopping and turning on the icy and snowy streets was a no brainer. It was like driving on dry pavement. Thank you Dave and Tirecraft for your excellent service and products. I strongly recommend this firm.

We had taken our car in to get a tire repaired-same tire they repaired a week earlier has a leak again-dropped it off first thing in the morning and the Asian gentleman told us to leave the car for the day and it would be ready for pickup by 5. We were driving by and saw that the car was moved so we went in to pick it up-at that time my husband was told the car wasn't ready to which my husband asked who drove it then, why was it moved-the guy behind the counter started arguing with my husband that no one drove the car, my husband was getting frustrated and walked out where the Asian gentleman followed him out to our truck arguing all the while. My husband said it's ok-drop it and asked that our car get looked at as promised. As we were driving back home from the tire shop-the Asian gentleman called my husband again to argue about no one driving our car, he was rude and belligerent. I took the phone from my husband and took over the conversation to which the tirecraft employee was arguing his view-I said it doesn't matter any more-will our car be looked at today...all he wanted to do was fight about no one moving our car which didn't matter at this time and I said that. I asked him if he felt this was acceptable customer service, and I asked if our car would be ready that evening. He THREATENED me that because we were not good customers he didn't know when they would look at our car-at this point I hung up, we turned around and I went in to get the car keys. I asked for our money back from the initial repair (yeah right) he refused and said he wouldn't do anything-he screamed at me in the showroom as he was waking out to get our keys...I could go on and on...but long story short tirecraft will never get any of our personal or commercial business again...this could all have been avoided by him not arguing and calling us to fight.

It affects the experience when you’re paying hundreds of dollars in repairs. The price of a basic inspection was also a bit high. Otherwise, they’re quick to get you in and stand by their work.

After being a customer for over 20 years I had a VERY unfortunate experience today. It's a Saturday and I brought my car in at noon, received a call (according to my call records the call came in at 3:53) to pick up my car. I did make my way to the shop, but they were closed, they close at 4:00 on Saturdays which I did not know. So basically that's giving me 7 minutes notice prior to closing. The second call from them was made at 4:15, when I was on myway however they were closed when I had arrived. What's upsetting is that after being a loyal customer for 20 years my car was parked INSIDE. I could not even take it and leave payment in the slot where keys are dropped off (I knew the amount because I signed earlier and saw) or pay for it on Monday. I have never been late nor have I ever not paid. Tomorrow is Sunday, I need it early Monday to go to work. This is so upsetting because each time I've picked up my car it's been parked outside. Now the lot is sparce and my car is inside. This feels like unacceptable customer service given my history with this establishment. Great prices and honest people. I agreed to pay one price for a set of four winter tires plus having them studded. When I came back to pick the car up, they told me my final bill was actually $100 LESS then what we agreed upon because the tires shipped in already studded and they did not have to manually stud them. I would have never known the difference. Their honesty gained a loyal customer for life.

Did my tires brakes brake fluid flush routers windshield wipers transmission flush differential flush serviced transfer case had no problems . They changed the fluid in my transmission and I had asked them to make sure the transmission wasn’t slipping first but they checked after , they didn’t top up the washer flluid . On one of my bookings I wanted the windshield done but it was forgotten so I had to book again . I noticed on one of my receipts that it said loyalty number ?!?!? And no one has said anything to me or my dad who has got a lot of work on his truck and trailer of anything about saving money haha , my dad was a bit upset about that , I mean it’s just thousands of dollars. But it is good work and fast and if you have questions they work with you . I’m calling to get a hitch kit installed and I’m getting them to replace a back hatch .

I went to Blaskin & Lane on 16 Ave NW , Calgary because I had a screw in my tire on my vehicle and was losing air. It was 2 pm on Saturday. The service rep who attended me told me that I would have to make an appointment to get my tire repaired. I told him that I had bought these tires here and expected better service. He shrugged and said I would have to make an appointment for next week. I drove accross the street to Kal Tire (Sears Northill Parking Lot). Kal Tire apologized because they would have to keep my car til 5 pm to get it done. I apologized because I had bought my tires at Blaskin & Lane. They gave me the repair for nothing! The service people at Blaskin & Lane recognized me because I have bought 3 sets of tires from them over recent years! That clearly wasn't enough to get good service. Avoid this place if you value your time as much as they value theirs. Because things are going to happen on their time.

They offer free repairs when you buy from them but every time you need a repair they want you to leave it a minimum of two hours. Jeff in service is awesome, his co workers and manager should follow his lead.

Just like the Kal-Tire's that I have been to, these guys can't even do a rotation properly. They almost always lose at least one lugnut and always lose at least one plastic cover. If they're messing up such simple things, then how can I trust them with doing something more involved? I really liked Pit Stop tires, but going to Blaskin & Lane now for warranty work sucks.

Very friendly guys at the front desk but they have young staff mounting tires and they installed 3 of 4 tires incorrectly on my vehicle (inside of tires facing out). I caught it when I got home and had to go back again to have the tires remounted. They got me in early the next day which was nice, but there are a lot of tires shops in town so I probably won't go back.

If you want an honest mechanic look no further: I was waiting in the lobby; overheard a lady requesting to have summers swapped for winters and two new winter tires. About 10 minutes later the manager approached the woman telling her that she could easily get another winter out of the two tires she wanted to replace--he recommended not buying two new tires until next winter. Keep in mind that this is a tire dealer--look no further for honesty.

Disappointing experience - in fact a complete waste of money and time for my wheel alignment. Was told that everything was 'perfect' but when digging deeper it seems something was seized in the rear so it couldn't be adjusted. The back end is where I was having the biggest problems with tire wear. No attempt was given or quoted for to fix the problem, I was just sent on my way with the job paid for but half done. Now I have it booked in elsewhere to finish the job.

I really want to give a HUGE shout out to Tire Craft in Spruce grove. While I was making some deliveries in town today, I discovered that a bolt on my tire had broken off and 2 other bolts were so loose I could turn them by hand. Not only did David fit me in on the spot for a repair, but he very kindly stored my remaining delivery boxes inside their air conditioned building so that my candles wouldn't melt in this heat. I took my truck there, after an inspection they said that they stated a few things need serious work, brakes etc needed replacing. I told them I was going to do the repairs myself and they stated technically they could “impound” my truck as it was a safety concern. After an argument they gave me my truck back and I did the work for less then half of what they quoted. Never going back Update I see they have changed their name, trying to get away from all the bad reviews. I would do the same. Let’s hope they change the way they do business and not just the name!

Was in the market for a specific type of Toyo tires. Figured that all the tire shops would be pretty close, given price transparency these days. Not so. I checked 3 toyo tire dealers and Blaskin quoted the lowest by $100 (10%) for the set. So i spent the diff on a protection plan and wheel alignment (spent more!). I often buy tires at costco but costco doesn't carry toyos and moreover doesn't do wheel alignments, which is important for a new set of tires. Given Blaskin's competitiveness I'm pretty sure I'll be a repeat customer.

Edit: Tirecraft just responded to my review. I left this review originally in late 2016 or early 2017. The car is long gone. Booked in requesting an alignment check and suspension/steering component check. The guy at the desk was abrupt and made me feel stupid for even asking to have the steering/suspension checked and then said it would be impossible for their “mechanic” to align without first checking everything. Okay, fine, I just wanted to be sure they would check. Had alignment done and they said front end was all OK, but when I drove away the steering was still pulling. Went underneath the vehicle myself the next day and straight away saw one of my front control arm bushings was was falling apart. The control arm could move around freely, causing my pulling issue. 2 stars rather than 1 because they re-did the alignment for free after I replaced the bushings. I don’t think I’ll be back.

I am new in town so I used the BBB to get a mechanic to do some front-end work. These guys had the very best BBB reference: it was old, which is exactly what you look for. The FBN (fly by night) shops can't keep a BBB rating of any kind for more than a couple years. At any rate, while I was waiting to have my work done a young lady came in to have winter tires mounted and she wanted to buy two new winter tires; the sale fellow came back a few minutes later and told her she could wait until next season for the new tires. The sales guy . . . Well, that cemented it for me; they do live up to their rating. You want honest, try these guys.

I would warn everyone before going to this shop. NEVER GO THERE EVER! They will provide you with the cheapest price when you call on the phone. However, they always have hidden charges (extra work, workshop supplies, hard-work...etc). I went there to unlock tire lug-nuts. Peter, their sales guy, told me that each lug-nut will cost $10. After removing only one lug-nut I realized they charged me $33 for one lug nut removal. They used a chisel to break the nut instead of a proper tool to remove it. On the other tire, they damaged the other rim, nut, and stud of the other tire. After doing all of that damage, Peter told me to come the next day to remove the lug-nut but they will have to charge me $190 to remove it. Not only did they damaged the rim, they also want to charge you for the damage they caused to my vehicle. I would never go there again... PHOTO: is for the remaining Lug-Nut they broke and never removed. They want extra $190 to remove it.

Came here after an awful experience at the North Hill Kal Tire, and this place was a ball of sunshine. The staff that work there are so cheery and easy to talk to. Edit: Thanks for trying to discredit my review, you will hear from me Update: Talked to the manager who told me that they can charge this insane price because "we're a shop" and condescendingly followed up with something close to "you can buy an OBD reader at Canadian tire next time" and I will. They also did not "contact the customer for approval" or I never would have approved it.

I spent the previous night shopping around online for a set of Firestone Destination A/T's. There was a great deal (I thought) online at quattro tires. I was going to order however, since they obviously can't install them I though I'd try Kal & B/L to see what the cost would be. Like most, I expected the price to be substantially higher than I could get online. No way. Here's what I paid for some awesome all-terrain/all-season tires for my 2015 Cherokee Trailhawk, Blaskin & Lane, $721.52 (all in; GST, install, recycle & disposal fees) Online, $658.10 (all in; but no install ) It's just not worth ordering online. I'd save $40 but then it would cost me at least $60 - $80 to get them mounted, balanced and Installed at a cheaper garage. B&L is now cheaper plus I don't have to wait, meet the delivery guy, etc. And since they sold the tires they do put in the extra effort to support the sale, i.e, coming back to re-tighten the lugs, drop-in if there are balancing issues. So far my tires are great! I called and dealt with Peter who told me the all in price so I had no surprises. They booked me in within a couple hours even though they had to get the tires delivered from another store. The call took all of a few minutes! Quick, easy, and the price was really low. I will be a repeat customer!

Amazing service. My young family and I were about 500kms from home and got a flat tire at about 5:00pm on our journey. I installed the donut tire and backtracked 15 minutes to Spruce Grove. Tirecraft staff assured us on the cheaper tire repair instead of the expensive replacement and had our tire off in minutes and stayed late to get us on the road by 6:15pm. We put on another 1500km over the next 10 days and had no issues. It really could have put a damper on our vacation and I was worried we would have to try Canadian Tire and spend the night...but Tirecrafts great staff saved the day for us. Thanks a ton Tirecraft. We will be regular customers after that experience.

I was really impressed when I took my car in because of a flat tire. I authorized them, at the time, to replace all 4 tires if they felt that was necessary. I came in and was presented with a 30 dollar bill- the cost of the tire repair. I would not have questioned them if they had charged me several hundred dollars for a new set of tires. I am extremely picky about my cars, probably because I have been a technician for over 22 years myself. Nevertheless, my vehicles get serviced and repaired at the dealer because it's just who I believe does good work. But I happen to know Jeff, one of the technicians at this B&L location and once in a while I bring my cars here to get serviced and/or repaired, because usually they get me in a lot faster than the dealer. This last experience I had was good. We had an issue after they did a fairly large repair for me, and I was wondering if they would help me out thereafter, but I called to tell them I had a concern, they got the car in right away and fixed it the soonest possible time to my satisfaction. I gotta give them credit for trying so hard to please me even though I realize I can be over picky about quality. It was not something they couldn't handle. Bought 4 new winter tires in November, had a slow leak in a tire on Monday, my only day off, went in to get it repaired, expecting a bit of a wait, they wanted me to leave my vehicle there all day to repair a tire. Ready sometime before 6pm. I explained it was my only day off and I needed my car, they had no care, talked rudely, I am sad I gave them my business in the past. I went to OK tire, they brought my car in and had the tire repaired within 45 minutes. I had plans of buying my all seasons at Tirecraft, as they handled my winter tire purchase, now, I wouldnt give them my business at all, nor will my kids when they purchase their all seasons this year. It will be OK Tire. I was going to leave one star for this review, but the sales guy I bought my tires from in November was a very nice guy, sadly though, he cant carry the business on his own, and his coworker , manager I beleive, who works the other service counter, who took my call on Monday, maybe he should just stay in the back and not deal with customers, he cost tirecraft 3 sets of all seasons, and 3 repeat customers.

Really DISAPPOINTED with service provided by PETER. I am from BC and needed immediate assistance as there was some issues with my Front Tire. I called them to ask about it and Peter picked up. At first he greeted me and when I was going to ask for help, at first he hanged up on me and when I called him again he put me on hold. "WORST EXPERIENCE EVER".

Great service! Very professional, fast and reliable. I dealt with Peter at the front desk there. I called in at 3:30pm on a Tuesday to check if they had tent trailer tires in stock. He ordered the tire from their warehouse and go it delivered and installed the day after by 11am.

Stopped in had a screw in my tire. My car was taken in right away. Not from town so I sat and watched through the glass as my tire was removed checked and out back on. Apparently the screw did not puncture which was good news. Bad news I got the old you valve stem had a leak we had to replace it....yup the old trick if there is no money to be made replace the valve stem...no it wasn't I watched the whole job. But I paid the 30+ dollars with a smile because if you needed the 30 dollars that badly instead of a customer you can have it. 1st and last time customer. P,S also a fleet manager and would never recommend your store ...all over 30 bucks

Great service and knowledge. Ken, Peter, and Darren have been taking care of my vehicles for 10+ years. Never been given a run around or upsold on anything that wasn't req'd. It was these guys that made me realize I was over spending at my previous auto shop getting things repaired/replaced when there was no reason to do so.
