Worst customer service. I generally like fountain tire but this location has the worst customer service. I have bought two sets of tires through them and they wont even offer a complementary seasonal change even though the Edmonton shops will for customer loyalty. I am very disappointed.

* The technician was able to come early so he called ahead to make sure that was okay. He was very friendly. Even though it was raining, he went right to work without delay and got our tire fixed quickly. He explained what the issue was and made sure we were aware of what can cause the issue so we can prevent it in the future. I highly recommend Spruce Grove Fountain Tire. This is the second time I needed their services in the last few weeks and each time, the service was top notch. In fact, they got the second call because of the great service the first time. Literally highway robbery. I brought a set of four tires in my car to just get balanced. Literally a quick spin on the machine and some cheap weights. They charged me almost $130 for a mount and balance. (Basically was charged to hoist my vehicle, remove the wheels, balance them and then put the wheels back on my car). All the did was balance them and I even took them out of my vehicle and rolled them to and from the machine myself. The “tech” told me it’s expensive because this machine services Audi and other expensive vehicles. LOL. I worked in the automotive industry for years. Nice one there bud. I paid for it and said nothing but I’ll never use these crooks again. My advice is ask for the price before you get the service.

Update: Downgraded from 5 stars to 4 stars due to recent negative experiences. Quotation on tires was given with no mention of having to pay a deposit, and therefore tires were never ordered and not available when I needed them. Pricing was much higher than competitors for a tire in the same class which was rated slightly better. Attitude was a bit condescending, unhelpful and unapologetic.

I have had a terrible experience with Fountain Tire Bowness. I had them put on my summer tires and the technicians didn't bother to check that the 4 tires were the same! One tire was a completely different size and brand that belonged to my mom's car. She had taken hers to Bowest motors, who also installed one wrong wheel. The result has been completely dangerous and frustrating. I have been driving in a very unsafe vehicle for the past few weeks and I have had extra expenses to switch in the correct tire. They were not even open on Saturday on the Canada day long weekend to fix it for me so I went to Canadian Tire instead (at the Richmond Road location and got great service). I am not impressed whatsoever. Do not go here for tire needs as their technicians do not pay attention to what they are doing. I called John and he said "they probably should have checked that." Yes, they should have checked that the tires were the same. Never coming here again for any of my tire needs.

i was charged 140$ for diagnostics. I was not told this would be the cost before it was charged. It was an upsale to try and get me to purchase more services. The broken rim was also not disposed of, they left it in my vehicle, even though they said they would get rid of it for me.

Been going to this shop for a few years and have had good experiences. Recently after a repair there was a mistake made and I had no choice but to get new tires. John did not hesitate to take responsibility for the mistake, repaired the original issue and replaced my tires free of charge. Mistakes happen and this is the first that time I've had a repair go bad. So I commend them for their handling in this issue. Thanks!

I'll be honest, my experience with tire shops has been limited until now. I found this particular Fountain Tire to be fantastic. I called them this morning, dropped the car off within an hour, and had my car back within a couple hours. It was all painless. They gave me a ride home, and paid for my cab back (the shuttle was occupied). I was so happy with the staff and their professionalism right down to the shuttle driver. I would say the only problem with the place is their location but because they gave me a shuttle ride I didn't need to worry. Use these guys, they're fantastic. PS I dealt with Robin.

dont go to this shop whatever you do. dont trust this shop to touch your vehicle.. got an aligemnt done and the front left tire was way out....the camber was -1.6 on left and - .5 on the right! i was told they could not find the problem and they charged me full price my car was pulling to the right HARD... complained to owner and took car to other riverbend edmonton location and they made my alligemnt perfect..... the teck at the spruce grove location did not know what he was doing did the job wrong and tried blaming it on my car and my slightly lowered suspention.... the worst part is they tried blaming the problem on my .5 inch lowering springs and gave me attitude when the acuall problem was the teck had no idea what he was doing.... the owner did get me a free aligment at another location but i woulnt not trust the technicians at this shop at all..

After being ignored through a series of calls for 15min I got up and left, taking my purchase of two sets of tires and a set of rims with me. My husband and I were heading to the mountains for our anniversary when we got a nail on our tire. We stopped into fountain tire hoping we could get fit in. Not only were we able to get in right away, but we found out our tires were dry rotting. Instead of 1 tire repair we ended up having to replace all 4. The customer service was absolutely amazing, they went out of there way to help us and even brought us coffees and drove us to the mall. I called ahead to order a pair of tires and have my wife’s SUV booked in for tire replacement and balancing. Dean gave me a call shortly after I had dropped it off and let me know that I had unfortunately told him the wrong tire size (which I had) and the tires might not be ordered in and swapped until the next day. Which was of course acceptable, I had ordered the wrong tires... Two hours later Dean called back and told me that they had been able to run out to the warehouse and get the proper tires for me - but advised before putting them on that we needed brake pads and rotors right away. I asked that Dean mount the tires anyways and I would take care of the brakes myself to save some money. Dean made sure I understood what needed to be done and that the brakes were in rough shape and I should work on them as soon as possible - But he was not at all pushy for me to leave the vehicle with him, as many mechanics often do. He gave me props for being able to do the repair myself and save some cash. I really appreciated that. Aside from the great experience the price I was given on the tires, mount and balance was very fair. Hoping I don’t have a reason to go back in for service for a while, but if I do, I’ll be going to Fountain Tire to see Dean. Thanks a lot! - Jarrett

FT fit my van in, no appointment. They repaired a slow leak that Kal-Tire apparently couldn't handle. I bought the tires from Kal-Tire, so they should have fixed it. I'm told the wheel/rim was rusty and needed a good grinding/brushing. I suggested I buy a new wheel, FT said not necessary. I was assured no more leak. Quick service, friendly people, no up selling. I recommend Fountain Tire.

Friendly and professional service. We needed the tires of our trailer replaced. They did not have them in stock, but had them by the end of the day. I have been dealing with this shop for many years. It is because of John's honesty and Customer Service approach I return. He never says this needs to be done unless it is a safety issue, but, he does recommend when worn or maintenance issues have been detected. Because of their attention to detail, they do discover other issues along the way. You may have thought there was only one issue but, because of the expertise of the staff, they may detect oncoming issues. The main thing that Fountain Tire has been able to uphold is Customer Service. Calgary has become the worst for lack of customer service because of the all mighty dollar. When economic times turn, remember why people frequented your organization, well Fountain Tire has in my opinion never forgot about this. They are honest, they are to the point and top notch work unlike other shops. I recently took my truck to another organization out of convenience and Customer Service was weak, the workmanship was and is absolute lowest quality ever and unfortunately Fountain Tire is now fixing their substandard work. So I drove all the way across town to pick my tires up and drove back to fountain tire, just for them to tell me that they cant take my car in, and basically telling me I was lying when in told them I had just called and was instructed to come in. Then claimed they drained the oil befor the approvel/denial for work order came back so they could still charge for an oil change even though that was part of the declined appraisal. My fiance and I had a great experience at Fountain Tire changing over our winter tires. We picked this place because we just moved to the area and are able to walk to this location. Lucky for us it's also the best price I've ever had on a tire change. The service was quick and top notch. They found a problem with my tie rod end and called me to discuss the costs and risks, they were clear and honest with me. I wanted the repairs done at a different time then my tire change and they gave me all the information I needed to plan for this maintenance and helped me understand the safety aspects without using the fear factor to up-sell more repairs right away. Really rare to find such an honest and dependable shop like this! Highly recommend! Take your car here to honest straightforward professionals!

Went in and tried to get a flat fixed and instead they cut the tire off of tire rim leaving remanse of the tire on the rim so you could tell what they had done. They then said the tire was not repairable not even showing us or returning to us obviously because they had cut it off. They then tried to sell us two over priced tires.

Thanks to the entire staff, especially John DuMont, at Fountain Tire. On a hot Friday afternoon, my elderly mom's car overheated in heavy traffic at the COP interchange (under construction). John gave her a bottle of cold water, settled her in the waiting area, and asked his guys to look at her car immediately. They had her back on the road in a relatively short time - but had offered her a ride home if it was going to take longer to fix. The entire staff were pleasant and helpful. Thanks very much!

Huge shout out to the staff at this location. Last week well driving home our tire started making a weird noise when we got out look at it we realized that we had a scaffolding spike embedded in our tire. We had a friend put on our spare tire and thought we were good then yesterday morning we went out and found that our spare had gone flat. We called this location hoping to find a used tire that we could put on that would get is by until we could afford to put a full set of brand new tires on. Not only did they have a used tire but they were also able to get us in that same day. That's not the best part though they actually took the time to check out both flat tires and realized that both could easily be fixed saving us a lot of money. It totally made our day.

I am an “Airmiles” above all type of guy, and when the 750 bonus on a set of tires popped up (until December btw), I started calling shops regarding the promo. The first 2 fountain tire shops I called had no clue about the promo, or which tires were part of the promo. They told me to research which tires were part of the promo which told me one of 2 things, that they had enough business to not care, and if they didn’t care, odds are they would “forget” to enter the proper code for the 750 Airmiles bonus, (the main reason I’m shelling out $1000) or not care at all to make sure the tires they put on were part of the promo. That is until I called fountain tire at 6931 32 Avenue NW behind the Rona (another Airmiles sponsor btw, :-) off Sarcee. I spoke to Joe C initially, and he heard of the promo, but didn’t have the code on hand, so he asked if I could hold for a minute, he retrieved the email and information, which tires qualify, and which was the best deal as far as rebates. If that’s not servicing a customer and guaranteeing my business, I don’t know what is. Great job Joe C on closing the deal and ensuring I went straight to your location to spend my hard earned dollars and collect my most addictive Airmiles. Tires were awesome and the 750 Airmiles bonus were delicious. Fountain tire at 6931 32 Avenue NW off Sarcee Is my go to for tires and future car needs. If you need work done on a TESLA, come here first. Moved back to Calgary and needed an out-of-province inspection done on my Tesla Model S. Tesla's own service centre turned me away, and said they don't do them. The place they referred me to had a broken website, I couldn't request an appointment online, and sent me back to Tesla when I spoke with them on the phone. Three other garages I tried all said they could do it over the phone, only to waste my time later telling me to go somewhere else when they discovered they didn't have the right tools/training/equipment/whatever. Finally tried here and John and the team were amazing. They went WAY out of their way to help me get my inspection completed, dealing with AMVIC, AB Transportation, Tesla, and others to help me finally get it completed after months of frustration with several other shops. The service was outstanding, they even went out and purchased specialized Tesla tools and equipment just so they can help other Tesla owners in the future. I went in to buy winter tires to be installed on new rims, which I paid for in advance. When I picked up my vehicle, they had installed the winter tires on my summer rims instead of on new rims I had paid for, and placed my unmounted summer tires in the back of my vehicle. INATTENTIVE EMPLOYEES. In the Spring, however, they did mount my summer tires again and mounted my winter tires on the new rims for free (since I already paid for the new rims),. The following winter, my Nissan dealer informed me that Fountain had failed to install the tire pressure sensors in the wheels, so I will be getting a flashing warning icon in my dashboard panel. Fountain had not advised me that the wheels have sensors that should be installed. They should know this! So now I have a flashing icon on my panel. I will get Nissan dealer to install the sensors next winter. In my experience, Fountain Tire is inattentive and the lady at the front was somewhat rude and indifferent in how she interacted with me.

Drop a tire off to get a slow leak fixed (losing about 5 pounds per week). Got a call that after the tire now had a bulge in the sidewall and basically to go to another shop to get a new tire. When I asked what the hell happened, I got a rude explanation along the lines of we fixed the leak and then filled the tire with air and it bubbled. The tire was pretty clearly damaged by a tire tool. Picked up the tire, charged $40 to get them to put a bulge in the sidewall and am out an additional $250 for a new tire. Thanks a lot. Needless to say, don't go here, ever.

I was told by father-in-law that this place had ripped him off before, this was after I booked so I was concerned going in. Manager gave me a hard time about not wearing a mask even after explaining that I had medical exemption, this triggered me into an agitated state. I had to ask if he was discriminating against my medical condition... After this I remembered my father-in-laws situation and said "I've heard you have nickle and dimed people in the past for unneeded work, can you please make a clear note on the file that I ONLY want the wheel alignment". They made the note on the file and let me know that they would inform me before doing any other work, which I was happy with. My ride arrived after a uncomfortable wait due to the original mask situation that was so poorly handled. To make things worse the manager didn't have the guts to tell me that he wasn't doing the work because I hurt his feelings about overcharging people until after I got home. At least he paid for the cab ride there. To top it off when the manager gave me my keys he stood less than 6 inches away and stared me down, breaking the by-law that he was so concerned about that caused this whole dilemma... I'm annoyed at this hypocrite now and call him out by saying "grow a pair and tell me before I leave next time", I also try to politely ask him to "do his own independent research on the global situation" and he just called me a flat earther.. Even more annoyed I tell his waiting customer that the manager refused to do the work on my truck because I called him out on nickle and diming people before he could nickle and dime me so he was upset. For some reason he then told ME to call my lawyer, maybe I should after this bout of discrimination. I could have handled it better but I'm not the "paid professional"... His employees seemed pretty nice at least, just so no one tries taking it out on them! Avoid this place at all costs IMHO...

I ordered winter tires and wheels from them on Wednesday and was told they wouldbe put on Thursday or Friday. I called on Thursday and was told the wheels had not arrived yet. Then I called on Friday and was told they wouldn't be in until next week. I told Susan that I had been told by Steve that they would be in Thursday or Friday. She then said that I had ordered a whole different tire with her previously which was absolutely not true. She had no record of the tires I wanted having been ordered. They listen terribly, lie outright, and fail to order things you ask for. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, DEAL WITH THEM IF YOU CAN HELP IT. You will regret it.

I called on way home from work to ask how busy they were and was told I could be accommodated immediately. Within minutes of arriving my truck was in the shop to have a nail removed from the tire. While waiting (the short 30 minutes it was) I was offered coffee and or hot chocolate. I was also advised that the tires on my wife's new vehicle were not as bad as I thought (even though were not the Goodyear tire, and were a competitors). When I inquired as to winter tires he also advised me to wait till the fall 4 for 3 special and let me know when it starts. Great service and great attitude

To say that the staff at this business are outstanding is a gross understatement. On our way from Hinton to Edmonton, we blew two tires on our vehicle hitting a pothole and required a tow to their shop. It was late afternoon by the time we got there. They had sourced the tires for our car but would not be able to get them until the following day. By that time, one of the two rental car locations in Spruce a Grove had already closed and the other had no vehicles available for rent. of their staff members offered to drive us to our hotel in Edmonton, despite it adding considerable time to his commute!!! The following morning I called to ask about the status of the repairs and was astonished to be told our car was ready, as there was some question whether they would even be able to get our tires from their supplier b4 late afternoon (if at all). On retrieving our car, we were told that Jamie, the same person who had driven us to our hotel, had driven into Edmonton to their supplier and picked up the tires, as they would not have received them otherwise until late afternoon, and they would not have been able to have the car ready for us on that day. There are no words that can even begin to say how thankful we are at the level of customer service we received from Jamie and the rest of the staff at Fountain Tire.

So Dec 23rd 2021 I was coming down a hill and hit the guard rail which blew my tire and damaged my rim. I managed to put on the spare and make it down to Fountain Tire Bowness. Not impressed!! Rang to get a price for a set of tires. Four new Goodyear tires at the price I was expecting to pay. The guy on the phone put me on hold so he could order the tires for me, five minutes on hold and he gets back on the phone and says yes I have them ordered and they'll be in tomorrow. Great stuff dropped it off on the Saturday morning for install and this is where it goes to HELL!!!! Arrived to pick up the truck and see that they went and put a completely different brand of tires on the truck, after being told that they were ordered to see this starts to boil my blood!! Went in to find out what is going on to be told by a rather smug guy behind the counter "oh there is none in stock anywhere in Calgary" LIAR !!! And when I pulled him on his lies and repeated back what had been told to me on the phone that they were ordered I could see him realize that he was busted. Then he pulls the old we tried to ring you and let you know, my phone is set up to send a text for a missed call I got no text. And they didn't even have the decency to inform me this morning when it was dropped off that they couldn't get the ones I had been told were ordered and to recommend a different brand and let me the CUSTOMER decide what I wished to do!!! Stay away from this place and the lies that they tell. Disgusted with them and will never do business with them again!!!

$45 just to have one tire balanced, not mounted just balanced! And I brought the tire in off the vehicle. I may not have thought this was such an exuberant cost, but I just had two tires mounted and a third balanced at a different shop for a total of $80 dollars for all three. As well I have priced out their prices on tires, and I can assure you, it will save you lots to shop around because this shop is over priced for everything they have to offer!

Took my car there for four new tires and when I picked it up, the drivers side door was all dented and clearly was hit. My car was parked on the road, so yes it could have been someone else however why was it parked on the road and not in your lot? Your lot is quite big. When I was upset and concerned they shrugged me off and basically said oh well. When I had to walk back in there after forgetting my keys they were clearly ‘giggling’ about it with other customers. Not happy and I’ll never go back there.

I had been taking my vehicles here for years, and they have always been good to me. That is until today! Today was the first time I had dealt directly with the owner Jon. He was the worst! I had an appointment to have my truck looked at for Tue and brought it in tue morn. When I hadn't heard back from them by 11 on Wed I called. I politely asked if they had gotten around to looking at my truck. I was put on hold and shortly after Jon picked up the phone. Completely uncalled for, he was very rude and disrespectful to me. His actual words at one point in the conversation were "if you're looking for someone to look at your truck right away, I'm not your guy". What?! I didn't know what to say, other than explain to him I had made an appointment for tue so I thought it would have been looked at on tue. I even gave them until the next morning before I called. I will never take any of my 3 vehicles back to this shop. Jon the owner had terrible customer service, is extremely rude and on top of all that he tried to tell me it was going to be a big expensive job before he even looked at my truck. When in fact the problem was under warranty from sevice they had performed on it in the past. I don't recommend this shop because of how Jon spoke to me. Which is too bad, because in the past I had been pleased with the service dealing with who I believe was Darryl at the front desk.

A couple months ago we purchased brand new tires from this location and had the car serviced. Ten days later we returned to make sure the tires were secured well- as per the company’s suggestion. A couple weeks following this while driving downtown the whole tire flew off and shot across the street. We returned to this fountain tire to get this fixed. The company said “this happens all the time”... and then continued to make us pay for the replacement tire. We then spoke to The insurance company and they said this almost never happens and the company should cover the damage. Unfortunately we were left to pay crazy fees and the car is still left with major damage to the siding. Would not recommend this place.

So, we were heading out of town in August and as we hit the west side of the city the engine light came on. We stopped at Fountain tire on 32 ave NW and asked the 2 guys standing around behind the desk if the shop had a code reader (there were no other customers in the foyer and being a power-sport mechanic myself I know it only takes 1-2 minutes to check the fault codes on a vehicle) The first guy said that, yes, they do have a reader. I asked if they had a couple mins to check for us as we were just leaving and wanted to know if it was a serious fault or not. He then said he had about 800 minutes until the shop closed and we could "leave our car there for them to check" as in leave it and I guess get a cab home until they have the 2 minutes needed to check the codes. We just left and called Napa in Cochrane and they said no problem come on by and get the codes checked ASAP. Bottom line for us, this place had terrible customer service, 0/10 would recommend. EDIT: Did in fact try to follow up as requested 2 months ago, as of Dec 2018 no reply from them. Followed up again summer 2019, as of Jan 10th 2020 no reply from them.

I brought my car in because it was showing an engine light, but I had already scanned the error code to see it was an oil sensor fault. I figured I'd take it in to see if the fault was caused by anything else just to be safe. After half a day in the shop I get a call saying they are not comfortable looking at the problem because there is a "big crack" in my intake, and that repairs would cost around $1900. They also rescanned the error even though I had already given them the problem to check. They proceeded to charge me for troubleshooting which cost me $150. When I checked the intake manifold I found a very small split where one of the bolts fastens it, which was obviously not a problem. I removed it and did my own replacement of the sensor for $140 and an hour of my time. I've since cleared the error and all checks have gone through. Due to the pretentious attitude of the mechanic I worked with I have good reason to believe they simply wanted to charge me without doing any work. The other staff seemed nice at a glance, but I can't recommend going here due to this experience.

I needed trailer tires removed and new tires put on. I checked on where I needed to park before trying to maneuver my truck and fifth wheel into the lot. John showed me there is a convenient back alley entrance which allows you to get to the correct bay quite easily. Prompt efficient service as well. Recommended for anyone needing to get trailer tires replaced.

Great Service! I dropped in there with a low tire concern after days of -30. They took me in right away and checked all 4 tires (which all needed topping up). John explained what could be done if this continued to happen. No high-pressure sales or hidden costs. In fact, he didn’t want to charge me for the tire check and top off. True old-school service, which will bring me back there if I have tire issues again.
