Hard to find staff to help find things in a store that is packed with merchandise. Getting around with a cart is difficult when the store is crowded. The more Canadian Tire changes the more it stays the same.

i went to canadian tire this morning with all intentions of buying 4 tires for my car, i went the service desk where i seen one employee trying his best to look after 6 customers i counted , i went to the tire counter and waited about 10 minutes without any service, i went over to the young fellow i seen at the service counter and asked is there anyone to help me are the tire counter and he said yes, me .i felt bad for this poor young fellow trying to look after the service (parts) counter and the tire counter. absolute shameful on canadian tire to have 1 employee looking after 2 departments,can,t redone, I WENT ON TO ANOTHER TIRE STORE AND GAVE A $520.00 sale to them.WAKE UP CANADIAN TIRE CHEAPIN OUT ON LABOUR IS COSTING YOU SALES AND PISSIN OFF CUSTOMERS.

I love this store! It's a bit smaller that some of the newer, bigger Canadian Tires - but they always have great stuff. I'm mainly interested in gardening supplies. And I find the staff super friendly and helpful! I live an hour away in Witless Bay and some days I just go for the drive to go to this location because it's one of my favourite Canadian Tire stores! Today's treasure is a seagull statue that wasn't available anywhere in Stl. John's!

I've been in Canadian Tire stores all across this country, and this one is by far the worst. Clerks who run in the opposite direction when you want help, that is if you can find one. Clerks who argue with you when you know the product you wish to buy. Clerks who chew gum while they serving you, and can be bothered to return pleasantries because they are to busy chewing their cud. Avoid this Canadian Tire at all costs.

I dont reccommend buying tires online! Online inventory doesn't seem to be updated in time of purchase. Went to reorder for a second time after changing the store pickup location before paying and they still send it to the wrong location..other than that good customer service but yea dont expect it to be there if you pay online..Please update your website!

Hard to find someone to talk to about service because everyone on lunch. My opinion, not everyone should go on lunch at same time. Or at least have someone cover desk.

Very unprofessional Management in auto department, had to call corporate office, to get an issue solved for a brand new tire, warranty issue. Manager should be thaught better people skills, only 1 person on staff trained to deal with warranty paperwork. Lost an 1.5 hours, waiting to be served.????

This is the worst Canadian Tire store I ever was in in Nl. I stood in line for 45 min to return a product. I was the second in line. The manager wouldn't put someone there to help the girl. He said they couldn't because they couldn't pay anyone extra to go there. Every where you look there was employees walking around doing nothing. This store needs to remember that customers are very to them . The manager was very dis respectable. He just ignored me and the other customers that were behind me.

Much like other locations. Just a little smaller and not so modern. However offers a good selection despite the size. Most aisles are full of stock. There isn't a huge amount of empty floor space and navigating can be tricky when store is busy or other shoppers are in the lane. Check out is usually pretty quick.

A little slow not enough workers, Went there twice in the last couple of months with mastercraft tools and they told me l have to have a receipt for the tools in order to exchange it, mastercraft is there own tools nobody else sells it only Canadian Tire why should I need a receipt.l think they make up the rules as they go, won't go there to get anything else you are sure to leave disappointed. Go to town sure to get it exchange no questions asked.

I went to Canadian tire today to try and buy 4 tires and make an appointment to get them put on. The young man at the front counter went back and asked the mechanic when I could get an appointment, only for the mechanic to swear at him and tell him he didn't know while the other customers at the counter watched. So the young man came back and told me "I don't know" Safe to say I left with no tires and no appointment. Stay clear of the tire department. It doesn't even deserve 1 star, I'd give it 0 if I could.

I would like to take this opportunity to share my customer experience at Canadian Tire in Carbonear. After the Santa Clause parade today in St. John's, (I was there with my granddaughter) I went to Canadian Tire to look for a log splitter for my son for Christmas. After visiting Kelsey Drive store I leaned none of the stores in St. John's had the one I was looking for however Canadian Tire in Carbonear, I was told had several. I dropped my Granddaughter home in Mount Pearl and came home to CBS to get my brother. It was now 4pm so I had an hour to get to Carbonear as they close at 5pm. I am working the rest of the week so thought I would give it a go. Anyway wet snow and dark I left hoping for the best. I made it there by 5:05pm and was met by Steve who told me the store was now closed. I quickly told him I had drove from CBS and he was kind enough to let me in to get my purchase. Two of your young men put it in my car - thank you so very much. I left delighted and mission accomplished. I work in customer service and know how important satisfying a customer is. So again, a big thank you Steve and the two young men you made my day. The great service will certainly be shared. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Went for 4 tires for vehicle. the weekly flyer said were on sale.No tires of any in flyer and cheapest one they had was 300.00. plus waited at service counter for long time for anyone to show up. I went to mount pearl store got the 4 tires less than 180.00 a tire. Carbonear store needs help in all aspects of a business.

I brought a car battery back to get replaced. It loses its charge in a day or two if the car isn't used. Car and battery were checked by my garage and determine that the battery was definitely the problem. Store said it is fine. It loses charge in a few days even if not in the car.
