Caleb was friendly and made me feel comfortable during the piercing process. The environment is clean and it's clear that the establishment pays great attention to hygiene. However, one major negative experience I had was with my charges. Originally I had planned to get 6 piercings, but ended up just getting 5. Caleb did not take off the 6th piercing's charge at final payment. I later realized after getting home, but couldn't go back in until a week later due to my busy work schedule. When I did finally return to ask for my refund, Caleb processed it for me and I was again on my way. Just to be safe I double checked once more to find he only refunded me the piercing charge, but not the earring... So again I went back to ask for a refund on the earring I never got a piercing for. Caleb reviewed my receipt again and just laughed about "oh yeaaah you were waaaaay overcharged!" I mean, it's great that I eventually got my refund, but I'm very wary of how little attention to detail the staff pay to their clients' charges. Not only did I have to make a second trip all the way back to get my refund, I also had to remind the staff of my overcharge not once but TWICE about it. It honestly makes me regret tipping, and left anxiously reviewing my receipt again and again to see if I had been overcharged for anything else. Had I not been careful to review the charges myself I would've overpaid close to $100. So yes while the staff are friendly, I also strongly urge those that get services from here to DOUBLE CHECK YOUR CHARGES!

Got 2 piercings done about a month ago. The place was very clean and professional and the staff was great. I was a bit nervous to get them done but my piercer made me feel very comfortable. Went here because my lip piercing was acting up after 10 years of having it (piercing was not performed at this location). Julie was very knowledgeable in her art of piercing, she informed me about external threaded studs which is what I had. Jewelry is responsibly priced, good quality and of course the place was super clean and organized. She did not try to upsell me jewelry when I explained the issue, she didn't say I needed to buy a new stud but I decided to buy one of theirs because it was better quality than mine. She put it in for me no pain or pinching and made me feel very comfortable. Their jewelery has a 1 year warranty and they also have a stamp card for any purchases in their store you get a stamp and I believe either 5 or 6 stamps and you get a free piercing :) amazing place will be going again do very much recommend.

Most professional and clean piercing/tattoo business I've ever stepped into. They are by far the most educated business I've ever come to contact with when getting a piercing. Came here to get my tongue ring bar put in longer because the place I got it pierced put in a bar that was to short. The "piercing master" took care of me and she was so friendly and informative. I showed up as a walk in on a day that was busy, short staffed by about 3 and while in the process of training a new customer agent. I came in thinking perhaps an appointment was needed but I would take a chance as it was for my birthday. Rather than go away, I agreed to just hang around in case they could fit me in. While I waited, I noticed the vast selection in piercing options. The staff was exceptionally friendly despite the shortage. They took the time to review all health and safety precautions and aftercare as well as explain the differences in options and metals. I noted their commitment to sustaining a high level of professional standards; the extreme cleanliness of the rooms, and the level of absolute professionalism and high standard. They remain at cutting edge in standard, variety, and health and safety. I was highly impressed, especially at how they went out of their way to accommodate me at a stressful day and make my birthday exceptional and successful. We had a fantastic experience here today. We took our 5 month old to get her earlobes pierced today. There are not many places that allow a parent to take their baby/child under 5 years old to get pierced. So when we decided to do it, we did a lot of research about guns vs. needles and which is better. Once we decided to go with needles we started to look for reputable places. It did not take long to find WC piercing and ink. They have great reviews from customers and have been open for a long time. Julie responded to all my emails so promptly. When we walked in to scope out the shop, we were very impressed. The shop is immaculately clean and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Julie and Kelly explained everything to us prior to starting, during the procedure as well as post piercing for aftercare instructions. Our baby was not pinned down and we did not once feel scared for our baby. Obviously the baby will cry, but it lasted about 30 secs. Their sterile technique was fantastic, which was the most important part for us as parents (we are both hospital workers and know all about proper sterile techniques). We felt confident with everything and are so happy with our baby's piercing. We would 100% recommend Julie and Kelly to other parents, family, and friends. You will not be disappointing. I rarely leave reviews, but I want to share my incredible experience I had with Westcoast Piercing and Ink. From now on, I will only go here for my piercing needs. I went to the shop just wanting to purchase some jewelry and have it inserted into my tragus. The extremely helpful and friendly staff quickly noticed that my daith that I had pierced less than two weeks ago was extremely swollen and had huge hypertrophic scars on either side of the jewelry. The Maria Tash piece I had inserted was much too small for my ear and required two staff members to safely remove it. This business truly cares about the safety and health of their customers and took over an hour of their time ensure the correct jewelry was installed for my ear to heal. The other piercing shops I have frequented in Vancouver have always had a hard sell approach and have always pressured me into buying the most expensive jewelry. If you are looking for a business that cares about their clients, takes the time to assess your needs, and provide a comfortable and friendly ambiance and experience, this is the place to go. I can't even describe how lovely the staff are. Here is a picture of my ear when I first got it pierced and how it looked 2 weeks after when Westcoast Piercing fixed it for me. What a fantastic business.

I got an industrial piercing by Kelly today. The place was a very clean, professional, and the staff are happy to answer any questions that you have for them. I typically get a lot of anxiety when talking to people, but Kelly was so friendly that my anxiety melted away. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey in comparison to other places. However, you are getting your moneys worth with the time that they give to each of their customers, cleanliness, and professionalism. There are also a lot of cute and cool pieces of jewelry in the store too.

Been going here for years. Initially, I was wary of going to a piercing place in Whalley... but the second you step inside, the exterior location does not match with what's inside at ALL. Extremely professional, clean, and amazing customer service. Even though they're always always busy, they've never made me feel pressed for time or as if I'm holding them up. They always take the time to explain or give opinions on which jewelry to pick (I'm very picky) and make each individual feel like their number one customer. I had Evelyn pierce my tragus, daith and nose 2 years ago. She is extremely sweet, patient, and calming. I had no idea what I was doing and she gave great suggestions and educated me on the differences in size, shape, piercing standards, etc. She's amazing! I got refitted with new jewelry last week with Caleb. I was switching to the smallest stud possible, which is very hard to work with, but he was able to screw it on painlessly and quickly. Both jewelry changes were gentle and I barely felt a thing. He's so friendly and fun to chat with, and is very knowledgeable about his craft. I'd come back in a heartbeat! Thanks guys!

If you're looking for quality piercing AND high-quality jewelry ,this is the right place. This was my first time here and I was throughly impressed by selection, cleanliness , friendliness and education. Caleb did my septum piercing and he was wonderful, through and gives lots of options for different jewelry styles and what will work with your anatomy. It's an experience which is hard to come by. The cost of a piercing here is more expensive then other places ,BUT what they carry is some of the highest jewelry brands on the market. I have had my share of piercings and this is the first time i've come across a shop selling BOTH anatometal,Alchemy and BLVA. The brand BLVA is very exclusive with who they allow to carry their jewelry which alone should speak volumes about the shop. You are not going to have the worry of irritation from improper or low quality jewelry here and their sterilization/sanitation is top notch. You can tell just by walking in how clean it all is. All and all. If you're looking for high quality, low irritation jewelry, proper cleaning and a great piercing experience, this is the place.

I went into Westcoast to see what they could do about helping me fix my very uneven and poorly done piercing gun ear piercings from 20 years ago. The guy at the counter (whose name I didn't catch) was super helpful in working out with me the best way to re pierce my ears to balance out the unevenness, as well as gave me info on how to get the really bad hole fixed. We decided on doing a double lobe piercing on each ear, keeping one of the original holes that wasn't too terrible. Evelyn was my piercer and was METICULOUS at making sure the holes were evenly spaced and balanced on both sides. I'm so glad I popped in on a whim, and excited to finally be able to wear earrings again :)

I recently had my navel redone as another piercer had erred and blatantly denied it was crooked. Kelly pierced me that day and explained the choice of jewelry he recommended, procedure, placement and healing process in detail from beginning to end. After spending a good amount of time looking for the navel bar that I wanted with zero complaints we went ahead with the piercing. I knew, he knew the piercing marks were perfectly positioned yet he was humble enough to ask me my opinion and if I liked it. Evelyn and Caleb are knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and comforting as I had so much anxiety prior to a daith piercing. Piercing was done quick and I did not feel any pain post piercing, except a couple hours later there was intermittent pain for approximately 2 hrs but I'm all good now and glad I had it done. I've been here for many piercings! I got 3 of my piercings done by Evelyn and she is SOOO gentle and does a great job. I got my rook, conch + tragus done by her. Everything healed well. I went recently to get my posts shortened, and Caleb helped me out. There was a slight miscommunication, and after calling them, I came back and he sorted everything out for me and issued a refund and a few other things. I was so thankful and happy. Extremely over priced and worst customer service. I came here with my mom to get our helix pierced and we had the worst experience ever. I chose my piercing that was priced approx. $65. However, while I was already laying on the chair to get my ear pierced, the lady doing my piercing stated the stud earring that I chose was too large and asked me if I would mind if she changed it to a smaller one - which I agreed to. The lady DID NOT tell me the price of the smaller stud was $120. The total cost for me and my mom was a ridiculous $350 - for 2 helix piercings. I feel like I have been completely scammed and am so frustrated that the lady was not up front about the prices before piercing my ear. We came to this shop after a few months again because we wanted to change our studs, but we were unable to take the piercings out on our own at home. They stated that it will be a $10 service charge per person for them to help take out our piercings even though we were their previous customers whom they’ve btw already ripped off. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If I could give this store 0 stars I would.

This place is horrible. I made an appointment for my 14 year old to do her ear piercings. When we got there the door is locked so we stood staring at each other for 10 mins till she opened the door. The older lady was extremely rude!!!! And she basically told me my 3 year old could not enter implying to leave her outside. I don’t know why I just didn’t stick to Pauls piercing! I had a bad experience here. My mom and I came with my younger sister who’s NOT a baby she is a 3 year old. Arrived for our appointment and the lady who answered the door was rude.. but I guess in this companies eyes she was extremely professional (eye roll) she did not give us other options… she just said you can’t come in here with a kid. We did not storm off the business is lying we sat there and my mom said what should we do? My mom can’t leave my TODDLER sister outside? And the lady just sighed with NO ANSWER as other options. I’m not sure what her answering my moms questions on a live chat hs to do anything… that is your customer service job to answer questions regarding appointments … if you don’t want to chat on live chat answering questions than why have a live chat? They have barbell sizes that are hard to find in stock at other online shops. It comes sterilized, which is usually an extra cost elsewhere. The only downside is that shipping is expensive for the size of the package. It was $30 to ship two barbells from BC to ON.

I got my nose pierced here about 4 months ago! They are really great and the employees take the time to answer your email questions and stay in contact if you so choose after the fact which I found really nice!! This is not the place to go if you are looking for a quick, cheap piercing. It's definitely pricier, but in my opinion, totally worth it - the time and care they take is worth - especially if you are getting a more complex piercing. Also do not be fooled by the outside, it looks sketchy as hell but as soon as you walk through the doors you are greeted by an upscale, beautifully decorated and clean piercing studio. My only suggestions for the place would be to hand out an aftercare pamphlet rather than just verbally tell the customers. Other than that, I was very happy with my service.

I adore them. They have a cute little family like environment and they're genuinely warm and welcoming. They've been super patient and calm when my wife has gotten piercings in the past, and she's terrified of needles. I will always rep them!

My wife went here to take our teenager her experience was horrible. You would think the business would not address the situation by arguing and fighting but being professional and trying to understand the situation and try to move forward on how to make sure miscommunication doesnt happen again. Instead they want to argue and fight and leave it as the customer is lying the costumer is wrong. Anyways I told her to just go to Paul's piercing which has been around forever but she wanted to try a new place for our teenager.

This was my first time visiting the shop, having many other piercings at other places. I decided to come to West Coast based on the google reviews and their website. First off when you walk in to the shop, you can tell the cleanliness just by the smell. They have a large inviting reception area I would call it, with all their jewelry displayed. Julie and Kelly were both working, and both happened to be piecing someone at the same time. I had Julie. While the piercing I was having done, was super awkward and someone uncomfortable Julie made me feel at ease and comfortable. I could hear Kelly talking to his client and sounded like he was doing the same. You can tell they are both very into what they do, love their job and are enthusiastic about it. I didn’t ask anything about pricing as I had seen how much the piercing was going to cost online and I didn’t ask about how much the jewelry would be because I was willing to get it no matter what. So better I not even ask and just pay lol. To negate some other reviews, anyone who has done research or has been pierced before should know that high quality jewelry comes with a price tag. If you aren’t willing to pay maybe you shouldn’t be getting pierced in the first place. Would definitely recommend this pace to others.

Fantastic piercing place! I was a little hesitant to come to the place due to the high prices but it was completely worth it! Jewel is incredible knowledgeable about everything piercing related. She spent the extra time to explain what jewellery would fit best for my forward helix piercing and then made sure to explain each step during the piercing. Completely sterile process during the actual piercing with sterilized packaged tools that she opened in front of me. Great infection control. From what I understand, the staff here attend classes and conferences for most up to date piercing information. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a piercing. Be sure to make an appointment or be ready to wait though because this place is busy!

Extremely clean, professional atmosphere with highly trained staff. Jewels was super intelligent and kind and made my piercing as quick, hygienic and comfortable as possible (she changed her gloves A LOT during the entire process). I'm so over-the-moon with my piercing and will definitely make this my go-to. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Today was my second visit at westcoast piercing and I would say best place to get the piercing done . They are so professional and always keep up with the sanitization and always friendly behaviour. My nose piercing was done in less than a minute and it was painless . I would 100% recommend this place for piercing.

I decided to look for shops outside my city area after having repeated bad experiences at our local shop. I found Westcoast Piercing and Ink through good reviews and website pricing. I made an appointment quickly. I brought my own dermal jewelry as it was the matching pair to the surface anchor that did not reject on my back. They were hesitant at first, I did not understand why but they explained it all to me. The jewelry needed to be checked for micro scratches and the metal confirmed to be untainted. I am unable to hold mixed metals in my skin and luckily I had been holding the anchor in a tiny plastic bag. After checking it over, they told me it did not need to be polished but needed to be sterilized for 24 hours (it was gross and the cleaning was very cheap) so I rescheduled the appointment for a different time the next day. When I came back, all my questions about jewelry were considered carefully and answered with specific details about my piercing location, size, and shape. Very professional shop, genuinely nice people. I had my septum and dermal done, you get half off your second piercing. The pricing was too value, lower piercing costs and slightly higher jewelry costs but you get what you for no doubt the value holds up and you are given 1 year warranty. They had sales on some brands too, very reasonable. They have a stamp incentive, buy 5 get the 6th free! This has also been the fasted and easiest healing I've had, this is the third time I've had my left side dermal done and the fastest it has healed. My septum is almost completely healed after two weeks as well!

I had ripped my fresh new nose ring out ( got it done at a different place ) and came here to get it looked at and hopefully fixed from the ring I had thrown in until I could get in…. Kelly amazed me so much! He was so knowledgeable it made me instantly trust him! If you have anxiety around piercings, request "Evelyn" (I think that's her name), she is SO calming, reassuring, and gave me multiple suckers and a water bottle before my piercing and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I wish I had tipped her more, but the jewelry and piercing was expensive. she was awesome.

10/26/2019: Sanitary, professional, and knowledgeable are some words to describe the people working at WestCoast. It was a great experience and I felt at ease getting my piercing done. Kelly puts effort into ensuring clients are comfortable and calm before, during, and after the entire process. Would come back again for sure, and highly recommend!! I just wish I was told it was going to take nearly two hours for the whole process, I would’ve come prepared for the length of time. Otherwise, this place is awesome! :) UPDATE! 02/18/2020: it has been approximately four months since my rook piercing was done and it has healed beautifully. Will definitely be coming back!

Went in to get my cheeks done. Ended up with two microdermals instead. Which I love! The piercer. (The manager I forgot her name ) spent the time to go threw both options clearly well over a half hour and told me the risks and benefits of both options honestly . And put me first and what would work for me not to just make quick cash. She also double checked with someone else that they were even. Super educated staff and I will definitely only be going to this shop from now on and recommending it to everyone . Also the sanitation was beyond anything I’ve ever scene !! Day 3 and my piercings have no issues so far. No pain. No swelling . The manager actually cared. Which is a rarity now days. Could not be happier with the service I received.
