Had my first tattoo done by Rouman, and I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. I was fortunate in that there was a new apprentice watching Rouman work, and I was able to listen to some of the technical explaination that I might have otherwise missed out on. From what I overheard, it's clear Rouman has no problem taking his time and running his machine on slower settings in order to cause less skin trauma (my tattoo healed in a few short days with no scabbing). It's refreshing to see a professional who after being at his craft for so many years, still takes the time necessary to do an excellent job and who is accountable to his work. If/when I get another tattoo, I'll definitely be back.

I would like to take a minute to write about my great experience. I had received a tattoo by Mark Prata on my upper left arm 4 years ago. This tattoo was really important to and he had spent alot of time working with me in creating the perfect tattoo. Now To a more recent date I had gone in to Toronto Ink 3 weeks ago and wanted to expand my existing tattoo onto my chest. Again what an experience. I was welcomed and greeted, offered water and treated so well. I was very particular in my discussion with Mark on what i wanted and he was incredible, with a note pad taking noted and even doing a rough sketch in front of me to make sure he totally understood what i was looking for. He really worked on the drawing to my complete satisfaction and once we got started on the tattoo he had suggested my last tattoo from 4 years ago was done with a different ink then he had now used. and suggested to redo my older tattoo so they would match. At NO CHARGE! this took him an extra hour. Mark said it was really important to him that the tattoo he produces are shown the best possible way. since a few weeks ago I have gone swimming with my son and have played indoor volleyball. when people see my tattoos they are in amazement at the detail and brightness of the colour. I do not want tons of tattoos but the two i have are pretty big and I could not be any happier. I highly recommend Mark Prata he is a true professional and as reviews show the best tattoo artist in Toronto.

My partner and I went for matching tattoos here. We had to wait about 20mins for our appointment since our artist was dealing with chaos at the front counter and taking phone calls. The artist was nice, but seemed nervous and her hands were extremely shaky when she was tattooing. Both of our tattoos need serious touch-ups. She kept saying "You can always come for a free touch-up," knowing that they would need them. Would not recommend. The line-work is horrible. It is just a small tattoo, but she needed to be guided through the process. If artists don't feel comfortable doing small tattoos, they should NOT be booked them.

The fact today is my mother's birthday he worked around his schedule and had an opening ...And that made today even more special!... I had a wonderful experience from start to finish with the staff at Toronto Ink. During the consultation, I found the studio very clean and Mark took time to explain each part of the process. I was blown away by the attention to detail in the sketch, and when I wanted to make a few changes, Mark didn't hesitate to modify his work to make me happier. He spent 6 solid hours on my tattoo and I left feeling stoked! I'll definitely come back for any future tattoos and will recommend them to friends and family.

My wife and I got matching tattoos (a very simple north star) on Aug 17. It was my very first one so I was pretty excited. Unfortunately, both our tattoos did not look like the photo we sent to the artist. Our tattoos do not even match! Also lines weren't clean, the "rays" do not even line up to form a circle since they weren't spaced evenly! They look like it wasn't done by a professional, just not very pleasant to look at! So, the next day, we direct messaged the owner via his Instagram to let him know about our negative experience. No reply. 2 days later, we followed up with another message on Facebook. Again, no reply. At this point, we were annoyed already but we thought with the Covid situation, ok, perhaps he was busy catching up with stuff. Finally, one week after our first IM, there was a message from the owner. But to our dismay, it was a generic reply asking us to tell him about our background, who we are, what tattoo we'd like to get plus a link where we can describe we want to get done in detail etc. etc.! Obviously, this was meant for a new customer and it also made it clear that our message wasn't read at all. Ugh! So frustrating. Lack of customer service, totally unprofessional and just unacceptable! This whole experience has really left a bad taste in my mouth that this will probably be my first and last tattoo. Won't be recommending this place to anyone at all!

I asked to talk to someone about a tattoo I wanted, the guy who came and spoke to me was very rude and told me it would be $500 for something small I laughed and walked out. A few weeks later my friend showed me his tattoo that they badly messed up. I went to my now artist who only charged me $150 for that tattoo I wanted. So unprofessional I don't recommend this place at all and now that I have a sleeve everyone asks me recommendations on tattoo places and I warn them about this place. Horrible.

Toronto ink has great artist but their price range is unbelievably expensive. I was charged almost $300 for two small writings and that's not right. I would not recommend this place for that kind of price.

Made an appointment for a consult with one of the artists, she booked me in for a Tuesday at 630pm. When I got there, the place was closed. When I contacted her about it, she claimed the manager never added me in the schedule. She rescheduled me in for the following Saturday at noon. The Friday before my appt, I noticed on Instagram that the shop would be closed for the long weekend. I emailed her that night, she responded the next day around 10am, saying she forgot about the closure. For a shop that’s highly rated, I found this unbelievably unprofessional!!!!! Couldn’t believe it! Been spreading the story to everyone that I know! Disappointing!!!

I've been coming here for a while now, and I always get tatted by sarah, she is extremely talented and has a eye for designs, on my last visit she fixed up and added to my chest piece I've had for years and it honestly looks like a whole new tattoo' I'm honestly amazed. Shes very professional and straight to the point. I highly recommend get work done by here, so book in advance as her availability gets filled up quick. Mark did my first tattoo ever, and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole experience. I was super nervous at first, but I had no reason to be concerned. The shop was cleaner than my doctor's office, which was a relief. He took his time to make sure he got the sketch right, tweaked my initial design so that it would fit better on my back, and did an awesome job on the final product. i will be returning for all of my future tattoos, and you should too.

First impression is the most important. The man at the front desk who was training the women was extremely RUDE. I asked him a question and he give me so much attitude for no reason. I waned to cancel my appointment because he was so negative. I hate to bring race into the factor but another person who was not the same race as me came into the shop and asked him a question and he was so pleasant. I have wanted to get a half sleeve done for about 5 years, but for various reasons I kept postponing it. Mark was able to take my concept and provide me with an awesome visual rendering and put my ideas to paper. I've been to this shop twice. Once in late 2008 with an ex boyfriend who recommended me to this shop. I had some handwriting I wanted tattooed. The artist was late to the appointment and although I had given him the writing a week before, he hadn't drawn anything up for me yet. It only took a few minutes but he wasn't prepared. About six months later, uneducated about other shops, I returned to get two small tattoos on my wrists. I did not have an appointment but went to the shop for when it was supposed to open. Nobody was there. I came back a few hours later and the artist wasn't there but someone else was. He had to call him to ask if he could come do two small tattoos for me. So I waited and he came not too long after. I had the script ready so he made the stencil and got to work on me. The experience was nothing special. I would've returned to him if I hadn't become more educated on tattoos. Turns out, he blew out both of my wrist tattoos (he had gone too deep with the needle and they now look blurry). I've since had them covered up but I was very upset that my tattoos came out so terrible. I've seen his other work and he is a talented artist and maybe things have changed since then, but he was very disorganized when I saw him. I think maybe he didn't really care about my tattoos because they were on a smaller scale. It's too bad because my 14 tattoos that I've gotten since could have been business I gave this shop. I will definitely not return. I now go to a shop that treats me like a friend regardless of the size of tattoo I get.

No anxiety investing

I came in for a large back piece with Mark. I brought in some print outs of ideas I liked and he made suggestions then drew it all out nicely to fit my back. This back piece is my largest tattoo to date and has been the most painful. What was nice was Mark's understanding of my pain tolerance, he didn't mind breaking the work down into smaller sessions that were more manageable for me. Its healing now and looks really great.

I had a forearm tattoo done by Roumen a month ago, and the entire experience from beginning to end was incredible. First off, his artistry is top-tier; he was able to turn an old photo from the 50’s into a highly-detailed tattoo. His line work and realism are unparalleled. Secondly, for the amount of detail he put on my arm, his touch was comparatively light. He works quickly and completed my tattoo in just over 2 hours (he originally quoted 3+ hours, so you can imagine my joy when he said “all done!”). It healed faster than some of my other tattoos, and definitely has more detail. Lastly, he put an incredible amount of time, effort, and skill into redrawing the photo I came in with, editing portions of it, and redesigning portions of it so that it would flow well and have the impact I wanted. When I came in for my appointment, his first stencil that went on was perfect and we went with it. With his level of quality work, that just solidifies how much time Roumen puts in behind the scenes. I will absolutely be coming back to Roumen as well as referring everyone to him who is looking for amazing black and grey realism tattoos. Toronto Ink is a sparkling clean shop, and the shop manager/receptionist, Kelsey, was wonderfully helpful and easy to communicate with. She even tried to get me into an earlier appointment. All around, an amazing experience. Thank you so much for my meaningful artwork!

I will not be coming back nor do I want anyone with ignorant negative unprofessional attitude to work on me period. I will not recommend thieves ???????? What a horrible experience first there was a lack of communication among the front desk as to want I wanted. I had a consult to discuss the design of choice weeks in advance I sent in pics of another design that I wanted instead which was not a problem I sent the pics a second time to confirm that they got the first set photos they told me yes they got it ...on the day of my appointment just to find out that the tattoo artist Rouman didn't had any idea this took place then he blamed me the costumer for this matter after I had email twice in advance and the answer was yes we have the new photos they took my money I didn't get any work done plus if I wanted to rebook I had to pay another down payment of $400 to get another appointment what a disgrace there costumer service is stink rude and they are races thieves .. Don't go

I have been tattooed 3 times at Toronto Ink. Each and every time the busy receptionist, Paulina, still took the time to greet me with a smile, and she was very helpful also. There are three artists that tattoo here; Mark Prata, Stepanie MacDonald, and Roumen Kirinkov. There are also Laser Removal Services available, The Artist I have had work done by is Roumen Kirinkov. His portfolio is incredible and you cannot beat his attention to detail. He went above and beyond to ensure that my portrait tattoo if my deceased Father was nothing short of perfect. I receive compliments on my tattoos everywhere I go. The shop owner Mark Prata also made an effort to stop and chat with me, and he could not be any nicer of a guy. The entire staff should be commended for their positive energy, and impeccable customer service. My experience here has been so great, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for high quality custom tattoos. This shop also hosts events like $50 Flash theme days, and awesome contests! It was a very clean, relaxed, and friendly environment, and I hope you check it out!

I came in for laser tattoo removal with Lorraine. Really dark tattoo with a lot of heavy line work and I have medium toned black skin which makes removal really tricky. I understood that removal is a process. There is no such thing as one treatment and done with laser (sorry to all of those who have heard different). I came in for about 10 sessions over the course of 2 years. Took a break after about 6 and gave my body a chance to heal and some of the tattoo to fade naturally with a few summer tans too. The results were amazing. Faded to the point where it was barely recognizable in most spots and Roumen was able to do an awesome cover up and tie-in to a huge piece we started before I started laser. The original tattoo was a huge zodiac for Aries stretching from lower biceps to over my shoulder. Lorraine got rid of my unwanted tattoo and was simply awesome! Everyone at Toronto Ink is! My adivce: listen, have realistic expectations, and remember that everyone's skin reacts differently to laser.

Let’s me start with saying I have a decent amount of tattoos on me. I had my tattoo done Feb 2020 with Courtney , the tattoo was done with straight lines but my gem was unfinished. I was in the bathroom for awhile and my bestie knew something was up since the artist was in a hurry to leave my bestie told me to just leave it and they could touch it up once I came back for my touch up. A few days in my family and friends noticed too it wasn’t fully complete. So I contacted Courtney she claims it was rendered as the photo which in most part it was. She claims the white parts where done but you CLEARLY could tell there was zero white in the gem I have white in my other tattoos and this one just had my skin colour. I even sent photos, as an artist you should have your client satisfied but she wasn’t even attempting that just talked down to me like I was some newbie. Frustrated and upset I decided to contact Mark the owner of the shop explained the situation at first he was super nice said he would contact me when he got back from his trip. Then the lockdown happened and said we will be in touch fair enough but once shops re opened again he pawned me off to his assistant claiming he was too busy. Guess customer satisfaction isn’t their priority. It’s like this shop does not want to keep their customers satisfied. I never got my touch up due to the pandemic, I have a unfinished tattoo that needs filling in and if it was finished would be gorgeous sadly I tried to keep it hidden but it’s in a spot that is hard to do. As talented as the artists are customer service is severely lacking and I wouldn’t recommend them.

I got both of my tattoos done by Miranda; First tattoo: 0/10 experience; couldn't eat for 3 days because I stared at it all day. I couldn't do anything else. /j Second tattoo: 0/10 no return policy. /j -------- Jokes aside. Everyone I met there were super chill. For my first tattoo I had pretty bad anxiety, (due to lack of experience and generalized anxiety disorder ????); but they ensured me, and made me comfortable. Miranda is super friendly, and her work of art is nothing short of elegance. Benny, who I havnt had the chance to work with [yet] is also super friendly and chill; And nothing short of professional.

Miranda has a very light touch and incredible ideas. I cant recommend her enough, especially when you know what you want, but have trouble picturing it. The shop was very clean, had great music, and very friendly atmosphere and staff.

I recently had an appointment for a cover-up with Mark Prata on June 17, 2016. What can I say, he is one talented dude! Not only did he draw something amazing for me from the, very little, information I gave him but the final outcome was awesome. I'm so happy I decided to do the cover-up and that I picked Toronto Ink to do it. I'm extremely happy with my new tattoos! I couldn't picture in my mind how great they would be and he delivered times 1000! Awesome shop, great vibe there, very inviting and professional. Didn't feel out of place what-so-ever. He even offered me pizza! Seriously.....best thing to offer somebody! I highly recommend Toronto Ink to anybody thinking of getting a tattoo. You won't be disappointed. I will be back for more!!

Absolutely amazing is how I can best describe my tat and overall experience from start to finish. I def want to thank Mark for his guidance, ideas and patience with this piece. It took me a very long time to decide on what I wanted but most importantly who I would choose to do it. Mark Prata's work is dope. My rating is strictly for the laser tatto removal. Definitely do not go here for any Tattoo Laser Removal treatment. My girlfriend has received SEVERAL treatments at this location and there's barely ANY difference. Either they purposely take their time so they can charge you more or they just aren't capable of providing effective laser removal. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE FOR TATTOO LASER REMOVAL! Update: I appreciate your detailed feedback, thank you. But I would not write a negative review if I did not feel it being valid and without doing prior research. My gf has actually been removing 2 pieces at 2 different Laser Removal locations (I won't mention the other business as it's not appropriate). Both tattoos were done by same artist, same time period and black ink. After SEVERAL sessions at both businesses for both tattoos, the other company shows SIGNIFICANT removal and there is no comparison. You are right that I should not assume your business is manipulating the process and therefore charging more but I have proof that for whatever reason, the other laser has been able to remove more at almost half the amount of time.

Today was my first tattoo at this shop done by Mark.. More than exceeded my expectations. Super friendly and talented to say the least. He made sure everything was to my liking and made me feel super comfortable with the process. The shop is very clean and amazingly maintained. Got my first tattoo done here, and I decided to make it a double. I got work done on both forearms and I'm very pleased. I consider the work very well done, and Stephanie took my advice to heart and created something great. She also supported me throughout the appointment by making meaningful and entertaining conversation. I paid $300.00 and I feel that this was a fair price for the overall experience; clean environment, funny and skilled artists, and guidance. I walked out with some great artwork and a new friend, and I plan to always come here first for anymore tattoos.

Amazing Shop, with amazing artists! Friendly, Professional, Clean talented, everything you could ask for in a tattoo shop. I'm currently getting a sleeve done by Ben, and he's done nothing but go above and beyond what I've expected, even to go out and get books based off the theme I was looking for, to give me exactly what I wanted and more. Professional, Friendly, hard working (we put in 8 hours on Friday with only so much as maybe a half hour break. He was ready to go as long as we needed to until he got done what he wanted to get done, which was fine by me). While looking for a new tattoo artist I was referred to Toronto Ink by a close friend of mine. I had an idea of what I wanted, old school playing cards in the dead mans had, and Mark Prata did an awesome job. I went back to Mark to get a half sleeve done, an Evil Dead themed, and his work was more than I expected. I constantly have people coming up to me and telling me how much they love the tattoo. Mark was very professional and friendly, the shop is probably the cleanest shop that I have been into (which is a huge bonus) and the rest of the staff is extremely friendly. I have been tattooed by the other two artists, Steph and Roumen, who showed me the same courtesy and professionalism that Mark did. Their receptionist, Paulina, no matter how busy she is always takes the time to greet customers cheerfully and politely. Their lazer removal tech, Lorraine, is always willing to help with any questions and has been helpful with any questions I have had about a removal of an old tattoo, that I'm now in talks with Mark about getting covered! I have recommended many friends and many people that ask me about my tattoos to this shop and will continue to do so!

Recently I had something done at a Guelph shop w my sister (her choice of shop/artist unfortunately) & it turned out terribly! Mark was willing to fix this other guy's work and made it so much better! For an artist to do such quality work & for a reasonable price is amazing & I'm ecstatic I could get it fixed! I’ve only been to two Tattoo shops for my three tattoos. Toronto Ink was a tattoo shop I will not be returning to for future tattoos. Other than having to pay over $100 for an outline of a heart smaller than a quarter the quality does not reflect the price. I contacted the shop to let them know my disatsifaction with my tattoo and they said to put polysporn on it. The artist was too rough and actually dug out some skin causing my tattoo to have an indent. Their mission statement is quality tattoos you will love guaranteed. That was not a guarantee for me. They only seem to offer a touch up, which is free in the first 3 months anyways, and I am uncomfortable going back after my first experience. I will be paying for a touch up at another shop.

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to write this one. The whole purpose of working with Mark was to touch up the very first tattoo I'd ever had done. But due to some fuzzy brain syndrome I actually missed an appt with Mark because I had mixed up the dates. And throughout the entire process Mark was exceptionally respectful and understanding. Mark took the time to reschedule me back in as quickly as possible. On July 20, my second meeting with Mark, he upheld the standard of being genuine and professional. During our second meeting, the tattoo session, Mark was able to recapture the tattoo's originality and improve on something that was already amazing. He took a wilting flower, watered it, and it grew into something of perfection, vibrancy and beauty. Mark is an incredible artist and a great guy. He definitely made me feel very comfortable, and I will absolutely go back to him for future tattoos. I would highly highly recommend Mark! Also, the customer service in his shop is amazing! Everyone in the shop was great!

My partner and I went in for the shop’s matching tattoo special in February. We were booked with Miranda, and told she would do “an amazing job with these”, small crescent moon tattoos on our fingers. The shop was pretty hectic, we waited roughly 20-30 minutes for our artist as she answered phones and moved around appointments for other artists and clients. During my tattoo, I felt pretty uncomfortable with the artist, as she was shaky and did not seem comfortable tattooing hands (moving around a lot to try and find an angle to be able to tattoo at). This was my first hand tattoo so I wasn’t sure if that was normal or not, however the quality of the tattoo tells me it is not. My lines do not match up at all, none of them are clean, the stencil was not followed, and now I am left with a horrible tattoo on my finger. My partner, who’s tattoo is in worse shape, as it’s bled out from poor application, contacted the owner and notified him of our dissatisfaction. He professionally replied, offering to fix the tattoos himself. He also replied to her review, saying that steps have been taken in the shop to prevent things like this happening in the future. We have declined the offer, as we do not feel comfortable getting tattooed here ever again. I am also extremely disappointed, that two days after our complaints, the artist is posting pictures on her instagram, taken by the owner, of her tattooing more hands. 0/10, would never recommend. and yes. When you mess up two different peoples’ tattoos, both people are entitled to leaving a review and stating their issues.
