Unfortunately attempted to have a Monroe/Madonna piercing and had the worst experience of my life. (I WISH I WAS KIDDING) The first piercing , the placing was incorrect. Sarah had asked to do it again....we both agreed that she could try.... although she was the professional piercer. Not me. And she attempted again and my mouth swelled up so bad and I bled like crazy. Inside my mouth and all over my clothing. She felt terrible and she had another woman there with her to help . They tried to rectify the situation. I'll give them that. Just left feeling very confused. With no piercing and a fat lip that was blue and purple and a disgusting amount of blood in my mouth and stomach. I am not one to review badly .....but this was NOT RIGHT.

I recommend this place! I went in for a walk in and they took me in!:) Tattoo looks great, especially with all its little details. They are a super clean place; you could smell it when you walked in! They made my first tattoo fun and laid back! I had Kris and he was super easy going and played some cool music while doing it! Great guy! Price was good and company was good! Going to the Art Crypt, for me, is like visiting family. As a long time client, I can say, unequivocally that Billy, Kris, and Rawbie are devoted to making your body modification experience the most comfortable it can be with access to various media and streaming services. You can listen to your favourite playlist or catch up on your favourite Netflix series. More importantly, they look like they're going into surgery when they're about to tattoo. Full protective garments are worn my the artists making the chance of cross-contamination and infection as minimal as possible. There are many talented artists in St Thomas but the Art Crypt is like coming home...where they wear blue gowns and face shields.

Went in for a walk in tattoo with my mom today, and Kris was available so he did both of them! He was very professional, he did exactly what we wanted. It was really clean and everything was sterile. We watched him set up and could tell that he puts a lot of care, time, and effort into ensuring that everything is 100% clean and sterile and made sure we knew what he was doing and why. We will definitely be back in the future!!
