I just wanted to give a big shout out to Barry! I had a piece of jewelry break half off last night and was really worried it was going to close up if I didn't do something about it fast. I told Barry what had happened and he met me in his shop to change it for me at almost 10:00 pm on a Saturday night! This was a piercing I had done elsewhere so in theory, wasn't really his responsibility but nonetheless, helped me anyways. Wow, if that doesn't scream amazing customer service then I don't know what does! Highly recommend him to anyone!

Extremely clean, professional place. I’ve got a few tattoos at a few different places and I’d have to say I felt the most comfortable here. Chelsea was my artist and she’s phenomenal. She took the time to listen to me & create what I really wanted. She worked around my schedule to fit me in and finished my piece in one sitting. Very precise, beautiful work. Will definitely be going back to her!

Crappy experience. Not impressed at all with the artists attitude. Made me feel like he had better things to do every time I went in there. His attitude sucks and I will never be going back. I'd rather pay someone else to do my touch ups and do my colour the way I actually waned it. Take some pride in your work buddy, regardless of it interests you or not. This is on people skin forever.

Got my tattoo done by Oscar, and wouldn't have it any other way. He truly is an amazing artist. He dealt with my pickyness without problem and redrew my tattoo idea beautifully. He also made sure to tell me exactly what he was doing and explaining that all the tools were clean and safe which eased my anxiety alot during the pandemic. Everyone there was welcoming and an overall great atmosphere

We had the most wonderful experience today at Dark Day! My 6 year old had her ears pierced, and Jessie and Barry went above and beyond. Clean, professional, mindful, caring and wonderful. Covid protocols were clear and concise. My daughter felt cared for and trusted both her piercers! They discussed consent, autonomy, respect and visualization. I won’t stop raving about our experience for months!

I got pierced here with my husband and we went back to get it changed to shorter jewelery. My husband's healed improperly and was told by the guy he could get it fixed for free. Then the women with her kid with her at work throwing airplanes, was rude and wouldn't offer to help him. Wouldn't offer me jewelery that was shorter

First time I went there some little douche at the front desk sat there and talked on the phone while I stood in front of him for 20 minutes, never once even looked at me. I just walked out. Second time I went in, quick, clean, friendly service. So I guess it's luck of the draw. I find alot of shops in Alberta are staffed with diva's. If yer a rude little dink why would I let you mark my flesh?

Update 2021: still the only place I trust to do my piercings... my sister and I got our noses pierced here recently and the level of professionalism and friendliness still holds up. Do yourself a favour and get your piercings done here... Barry and Jesye are the most professional, kind, caring and genuine people I've ever met in this line of business (and I have a lot of piercings). They do things very differently at this shop and it made for an awesome experience. As a health care professional I also appreciated the level of hygiene and sterility they used during the procedure. Honestly can't recommend this place enough.

I've never been to Dark Day Studio but my pal Oscar works there so it must be a 5 star establishment. Oscar is very meticulous, scrupulously clean and a great tattoo artist. He takes great pride in his work and I like his hyper realistic style. Definitely check the place out, you won't be disappointed.

I was so impressed with the service received here. We had a horrible experience at Expert Body Mod, so came in for some advice to fix my 9-year old daughters piercing. My daughter had major anxiety about having the piercing fixed, but we were both pleasantly surprised at how quickly and gently it was removed. We regret not coming here in the first place.

I love this studio for any body modification as they are always professional and clean. I recently got a tattoo done by Oscar and he was incredible to deal with , kind, patient and so incredibly talented. I had to look down at my tattooo during the process to see if ink was even going into my skin because he was so gentle.
