Kaiti is the only piercer I'll ever go to. Everything everyone told me about my nipple piercing has been far from the truth, except for the pain of getting them done. That said, they were my first piercing anyway. They're healing wonderfully, there was minimal soreness afterwards, and they're very comfortable. I entirely credit this to Kaiti's work. I can't thank her enough. She is professional and was emotionally supportive as well, haha. She is worth every dime and I cannot reccomend her enough.

Sabrina has done two of my helix's & my conch piercings. She took us in last minute, was also very calming and professional. I recommend the ink spot for tatts or piercings :)

I've always been weary of downtown tattoo places, but the gang at the Ink Spot are definitely amazing and the shop is very clean and orderly. I came in today on a bit of an impulse expecting to have to wait at least a few days if not weeks for my small design. When I was told I could come back later in the day to get my ink, I was beyond happy. My tattoo sums up 27 years of my life in one small and simple design, but Kaylie gave me a few minutes of her time and made a BIG impact on my future. I will DEFINITELY be going back to her and the Ink Spot gang for my future work!

I can't speak much to the actual tattoo experience seeing as I never made my way past the front door, however, the experience my mom and I had with Adrian wasn't the best. We arrived to get small tattoos and ended up choosing to leave after we were told that both of us couldn't come into an empty parlor and have one of us just chill in the waiting area while the other was getting tattooed. We're both fully vaxxed and were wearing masks so this seemed silly to me. Secondly, it seemed like Adrian had not taken the time to read the email I'd sent with specifications for my tattoo because he was confused while discussing details. I did make a couple of changes in the email I sent that were different from what I told the lady I spoke over the phone with, but he was very rude when he brought this up and confused, so it came off as him not taking the time to read the email. He also told me when we arrived that he wouldn't tattoo my tattoo on the area I wanted (meaty part of my thumb on the top side of my hand) and when I asked why, he said it would take too long to explain but if I had a sleeve of tattoos it'd be a different story; pretty lame excuse. Overall, it was a pretty bad experience and I wouldn't recommend going here. I do want to thank Shawn, though, for refunding the deposit to me and my mom after we decided not to get the tattoos.

I would go back and request Ben for any future piercings. The environment is very professional and everything is clean. All the staff are kind and ready to help you out. 10/10 would recommend. I got pierced by Sabrina and Ben for second lobe holes and a helix. They were super friendly and always made sure I was happy and doing ok for every step of the process. The 2for 1 Wednesdays are great! I have a very low pain tolerance and they made it very quick and pleasant. It really didn't hurt much (and that's the truth coming from a baby like me). I highly recommend! In the middle of the day on Wed is the best day to go for piercings here.

I got my helix pierced about a week ago, and I absolutely loved the full experience. The process of getting pierced was clean, quick and safe and my piercer, Kaiti, went above and beyond by making sure I could reach out to her after if I had any questions regarding the healing process. It was my first non lobe piercing and she was very thorough in explaining aftercare and how to achieve the best outcome with the piercing (i.e avoid infection or what to do if I happened to get infected). The most friendly people, clean shop, great location and as well professional and personable. I would absolutely recommend to anyone, it was fantastic and I cant wait to be back!!!

A friend of mine recommended getting piercings here -- I was nervous because it was my first time getting pierced, but the atmosphere calmed me down right away. I waited 10 minutes at most and barely felt a thing when I got my double helix, and afterwards Sabrina gave me a full run-down of daily care, a pamphlet. I was shocked at how affordable it was, too. Would 100% recommend for piercings! It couldn't have gone better!

My forward helix piercing fell out after 5 years of staying in early in 2019. I went to the ink spot and had a new ring put in, and another new one put in my tragus. Three months later it fell out. A little annoyed, considering the only time in the eight years I've had my piercings that a ring had fallen and was not taken out was after 5 years, I returned to Ink Spot to get another new ring and have it put back in. I explained the situation to the woman who put it in the last time and was told "I have to tighten it every so often." While that may be true, I never had to do that with my old jewelry. Was offered no discount on a ring or waiving the cost to put the new one in. Three days later, the ring fell out again. Luckily I found it and my friend was able to put it back in for me. This time I was ticked off and officially not going back to ink spot. After a few months of getting both rings put in my ears, the stone started to cloud. This week, the helix fell out again and I went somewhere else for jewelry and to have it put in. Was told right away that the jewelry that was used is cheap, which is why they clouded and fell out so often. I was also told I'm not the first to come from there. While the people there were nice enough, this was definitely a waste of money and time spent at ink spot.

Got my second-ever tattoo (first in over ten years) here yesterday and it was a great experience. I was a little nervous but Matt put me at ease and did a fantastic job with the design. He hand-lettered it and achieved the exact look I was hoping for. It's only day 2 and it's already healing beautifully. Although the front-door service can be a little bit unpredictable, I would still give 5 stars for my experience. Clean, comfortable, and Matt is a very talented artist and letterer. I would come back again!

Got two piercings done on the same ear at once. Dan did a great job, was very gentle, and took very good care of me when I wasn't feeling well after going through old scar tissue. Clean shop, very welcoming. Definitely coming back if I want more done :) Update: I have recently been tattooed by Kaylie, and I am so so so happy with the result. It was my first ever tattoo and it was fairly large (three hours), but she was so gentle and the healing process went very smoothly. I would not hesitate to recommend Kaylie and The Ink Spot for custom tattoos and piercings.

I had a great experience today with Stephanie. Very professional, friendly, and patient. She gave me her opinion on a couple of things to make sure that I would be happy with my tattoo now and in the years to come, which I really appreciated. This wasn't my first tattoo, but I have never done well with needles. Stephanie made sure to check in with me throughout the process. Once it was done I was feeling light headed and sweating like I just did a spin class. Stephanie was super patient, brought me water and candy for my blood sugar and didn't make me feel like a burden whatsoever. Plus, my tattoo turned out great! Also for those concerned, the space is also very clean (Stephanie even showed me everything was coming out of a new package). Thank you again, Stephanie!

Kaiti has done all my piercings (except my first set of lobes) and I don't think I'll ever let anyone else come close to my ears with a needle! Kaiti has always taken such good care of my ears and I trust her completely. If you are in the Ottawa area looking for a piercing, you -need- to get at least one of them from Kaiti, if not all.

Started a head piece today with Stephanie to the smash. Really talented artist. Was greeted at the door by the counter staff. She was very polite, well spoken and had wicked polka dot pants.. irrelevant to the review but I’m writing it so you are all at the mercy of my story/review :). After filing out all appropriate paper work, looking around and realizing.. wow this is a nice shop…. I hand my paper work back over and the cool pants counter girl does the necessary once over and to make sure all is copacetic.. I then get led down stairs to where my session will be.. in one corner the owner.. tattoo royalty If you ask me.. his shop has been a staple of bank street and the tattoo industry for 22 years… amazing.. Steph then leads me to her area where it’s full of amazing artwork that she’s done on skateboards, canvas, etc… amazing stuff. My tattoo experience itself was good.. wait not good.. amazing. Steph is really talented and very funny. The dynamic of the shop and the personalities is really something special. Sat through 3.5 hours of head tattooing.. some spots sucked but overall I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Will be heading back to finish it up in a month. I highly recommend this spot… the ink spot :).

Kaiti is fantastic!! Ive gone to her for 3 piercings and she was so so helpful! Everyone in the shop is so nice and always makes me feel comfortable whenever i come for an appointment. Ive had to reschedule multiple times due to my busy schedule and they're very accommodating and helpful. Prices are very fair and Kaiti’s aftercare instructions and tips have helped so much, my piercings have healed beautifully. As someone who is a piercing fanatic, I am so glad I found a quality piercer whom I can trust will always kill it each and every time! :)

Came in two weeks ago to get my philtrum pierced. Sabrina did an awesome job! She made sure the piercing was centred and also explained to me the procedure. After I was pierced, she explained to me the aftercare process. Sabrina is very professional and a real sweetheart . I had been following her on Instagram for about a year now and I’ve always wanted to get pierced by her . She knows what she is doing and she’s very talented at what she does . My philtrum piercing is healing very well and I have had no issues with it whatsoever . I am very happy with my piercing and with my overall experience at the shop. I wish i had wrote this sooner but back in 2016 or 2015 i got my bottom lip pierced by Dan. It was amazing and wonderful work and he gave me much information on after care etc and im so glad to say i followed everything he had told me and it never got infected!! Customer service was amazing! The employees were so enjoyable and fun and very friendly! While waiting i was watching someone else getting a tattoo and their care for thier customer was outstanding asking how they were feelinf and if they needed a break! Got my second lobe piercing almost 2 years ago now and it still hasn't healed properly. The piercings are also not lined up with the other ones I have. My friend also got her cartilage pierced about a week before I did and it also hasn't healed. We've both taken care of them well and have other piercings yet the ones done at Ink Spot haven't healed.

Super friendly folks who do an awesome job! They made me feel safe with their COVID-19 measures (which they followed to a tee). Excellent communication when booking the appointment, super clean at the appointment, great information to take home afterwards with care instructions. I had four lobe piercing repierced in what seemed like the blink of an eye while we had pleasant conversation. Loved the whole experience and will definitely go back again next time I decide I need some more bling in my life or some ink!

Service was nice and friendly. I got two piercings done on their two for one Wednesdays. Mine was done by Sabrina, it was okay. I'm super happy with the tragus piercing, but a little less happy about the Naval piercing, it's not as straight as I would have liked but whatever... She was very informative about the aftercare but forgot to tell me I couldn't swim for two months, I had a friend inform me (thankfully). I'd look for another place to get my next piercings especially since they cost fairly the same, and other places also have the two for one deal. EDIT (Response to Owner's Response): I really don't appreciate being spoken like that and I definitely won't be returning even with the promise of it being free of charge simply because of the hostility displayed here. I much rather take my business elsewhere and get it redone even if it costs me. Perhaps FreeWorld, or Future Skin, I've heard some good things about those two. Future skin has plenty of deals on piercings, and I'm sure it'll be nicer than this. Why would I let a such a hostile business pierce my body, a second time? I now see that it is not nice and friendly, at least the owner is not. For your information, I do still have the pamphlet. I regularly check my email and I didn't receive one from the Ink Spot.

spent about 1500$ here. cover-up was INCREDIBLY overpriced you would think you’re in toronto. the art didnt really look good either when finished and i have to get some pieces lasered (funny because that’s what i was trying to avoid with a cover up). stephanie didn’t do the best job either and many of the lines are crooked. honestly felt like a money grab. the alignment on my arm is also poor where one side is longer than the other. poor communication and not innovative. don’t recommend to anyone and i have over 15 tattoos from different sorts of shops.

I was able to get an appointment within a few days of calling, from what I saw the shop was clean, Covid related procedures were being followed, and the price was very fair. She also knew that I had dainty style and was willing to work with me to make sure I was happy with my earring choice and placement! I went in on July 17, 2019 to replace an earring I lost for my inner helix. The lady helping me was knowledge and friendly and I went with the earring she recommended. For an extra $7 I had her put it in for me. On July 23, 2019, just 6 days later IT FELL OUT and is LOST. I am so disappointed because otherwise the experience was good but now I am back to square one. I will have to try somewhere else

This has been my go to place for tattoos and piercings. I went in last Friday to have my third tattoo done which was a verse that ran all down my spine. Shawn did an incredible job. You can tell that they are professionals when they take the time to perfect the placement so that you are completely satisfied. He was very quick - I was surprised at how little time it took and he also touched up my old tattoo on my ribs. Will keep going back here because they are really good and the prices are very reasonable. :)
