First impressions were that the space was a very clean notable area. I had visited this place six hours ago (March 31 4:30pm), and was certainly impressed by the architecture and interior design of the building. However, this is the only reason why they gained one star from me. I went in at 4:15pm for my appointment, and was called to sit at a chair. After I sat down, I had to get back up and sit back in the lounge. This should have been a red flag, but I guess mistakes happen. I opted for the Student Haircut with a *complimentary wash*. The haircut quality and experience was nice, but some of my instructions had gone unheard. This could have been due to masks, and that is fine. At first, Alan had gone over my sides with one of the lower settings, showing my skin. This was not my style, and I definitely couldn't ask him to fix it. Haircuts can be fixed easily. When I proceeded to pay, I was asked to pay 25 dollars, then 30, then 25 again. Again, mistakes happen. A *complimentary wash* was expected, but I didn't receive it. Again, mistakes happen. All in all, a 25-30 dollar haircut gave me high standards, none of which were met. Although I will get nicks and cuts periodically at my normal barber, their listening skills are far more better than this 25 dollar haircut I got today. Was thinking of changing barbers, but I think I'll stick with my 20 dollar barber, who can take instructions, even with masks on. EDIT: I am certainly amazed by the customer service of the Menzone franchise owners. IThey were able to reimburse me for another haircut, along with a shave. Highly recommended this place, just for the level of customer service.

The reason for giving two stars is, I was booked in for 2:30 on Sunday but had to wait until 2:50/55. The barber at 2:30 decided to cut hair of a senior who walked in out of nowhere. He didn’t even inform me about cutting the seniors hair and if I wouldn’t mind waiting a bit. We all understand senior’s needs but the customer with appointment needs to know. Also the barber had to be told to use the blade for line up after the hair cut. He was rushing through all the time. Not as good as they make it look. PS: that was my second visit. The barbers name starts with A.

My child told me this when I came home, and I was not happy at all. How can you tell the kid it will cost extra money, he should have told me that. Manuel does not know how to cut hair. Tried out Men's Zone in Oakville because of covid so of course, as with any new random barber shop I had the problem/risk of getting recommended some random beginner barber by the receptionist. I was hoping any barber I got would be good considering this place has a 5 star rating, so I just took my chances. While I was waiting I witnessed my barber's customer before me complaining about his haircut, saying that he doesn't know how to do a fade. For some reason, I still decided to give the barber a chance, and it definitely was the wrong decision. I didn't say anything negative to or about the barber because I felt bad for him to receive 2 consecutive complaints, but when I got home and looked in the mirror I got cheesed. One of the most horrible cuts I've gotten; just a complete mess. What pisses me off is that the receptionist told me that the barber is GOOD, when actually he's the complete opposite. Haircut is uneven and just all over the place. As with a handful of barbers I've had in the past I tried making it clear in the beginning that I wanted a LOW fade, and the man shaves up almost to a high fade. All I'm saying is if you have someone that is new or seemingly has no experience, don't lie and say the barber is really good and make a customer pay full price. That's honestly such a disgrace.

Going to post this here as despite sending the feedback directly to the barber shop, they did not respond. This is my feedback on my first (and last) haircut at Men Zone. Wanted to provide some feedback on my latest visit to cut my hair. I visited alongside my son for a 4.30 pm appointment on Saturday December 12th. My son and myself got our hair cut by different barbers, Anwar (pretty certain his name sounded like that) for my cut and someone else for my son (he was wearing a face shield but no facemask, which isn't great, but fine). Despite telling the man who cut my son's hair how I wanted it (to follow the style that his hair currently had and specifying the length), he basically did whatever he wanted, cutting it TOO short on the sides and back by using the clippers and too long up top, without any style or regards to how I told him we combed my sons hair and style we wanted. Fortunately for everybody, my son was happy with his haircut and thus I did not want to make a scene. Nonetheless, I want to express my EXTREME dissatisfaction with how his hair was cut and the disregard the stylist had for my instructions and comments. I hope that the crew at Men Zone start stepping up their game in terms of cutting hair. Cutting hair actually involves scissors and not just using a clipper and getting rid of a customer in 10 minutes or less ( which ja basically what happened with my son and almost with me).

I was a loyal customer of the Mississauga branch but have recently switched over to the Oakville one. It’s a new shop and the owner is pretty great, I’ve had no trouble finding booking slots. What won me over was their attention to detail and the time they put into their craft. This isn’t a shop where you’ll be rushed to stay within the booking slot or 30-minute window, if they see more is required they take the time to deliver customer satisfaction. Staff is great, hygienic and all around great location. Highly recommended.

My Husband came there for Hair cutting. The person who cut his hair, did really bad job. Unprofessional service, don't listen to clients, always ready for arguments. We are highly dissatisfied. Please think twice before going there. They are working like a 15 minute time slots. They work only for 15 minutes per person and if 15 minutes is about to over, they start working haphazardly.

Worst beard lineup experience i've ever had in my life. The guy that trimmed and cut my beard had no idea what he was doing and completely botched my sideburns. Didnt seem trained nearly well enough to be cutting anyone's hair or beard. Would definitely not recommend for beard related services.

Recently got a cut by a barber named Loai. The fade is amazing and the attention to detail on this cut is spectacular. Loai takes his time and is very skilled with the blades! My boyfriend went to his appointment 5 minutes early, and was left to wait over half an hour. He showed them a picture of what he wanted, and explained what length he was looking for and his barber completely disregarded what he asked for and made it way shorter than what he wanted. He didn’t even style it to make it look like what he wanted so he is extremely not happy with it at all. This is the second time they’ve screwed up for him, never go here.

EDIT (editing now since I didn't know how to before): At first I left a positive review (when Oakville just got out of lockdown), but a few days later I realized something: My hair was not cut properly. In fact, a large chunk was left uncut and just wagging there like a dog's tail at the back of my head. I had Loai. He seemed a little unprofessional but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. When his friend walked buy he stopped cutting my hair and got into a conversation and slapped/shook hands. With covid issues, that bothered me but whatever things seemed to be okay. He didn't seem to have full knowledge about cutting hair (it's not something he's passionate about but needs the money, at least to me). He was telling me how the things I was saying wasn't correct or unimportant, which is odd because I go to experts of this field and they've educated me and understand my needs. Loai is a junior level barber from my understanding. I wouldn't suggest unless you're okay with junior. Wasn't worth the money. At least I know to stick with the barbers I trust, and wait on them until they reopen. I can only review this barber- the other staff may be great. The place overall seems nice.

One of the cleanest and well organized barbershops I have been to. This is their second location with another one opening soon at Dundas and 403. They take safety seriously here and do temperature checks for all guests coming in. They offer a lot of services that go from a basic haircut to scalp massage to even laser hair removal. Also one of the best features is their app which I use to book appointments. I can pick who I want to see when I want to and for whatever service I need. I go with my four year old son so I book two appointments back to back and I get an email with a calendar notification and also appointment confirmation the day before. Really friendly staff, prices are on par with the quality and service you receive there.

Took my boys for a haircut twice now - first time was fine. Masks on, not too many people. 2nd time - one of guys cutting hair didn’t have his mask on his nose. When he started cutting my kid’s hair, I asked him to put it on and he did but after starting the cut he only made an attempt to put it back up when he saw I was looking. I also didn’t really see any cleaning of equipment between uses except by one guy who sprayed his hair cutting equipment with something before moving to the next person. I could be wrong about the cleaning as I’m not an expert here but I’m sharing what I saw. Will not go back.
