I enjoyed shopping at this location for my first time. I was looking for a jewellery store which did repairs on-site and found it at JY Jewellery. It is a friendly family run business. Jacob, a talented and experienced jeweller, quickly resized my ring with inside 'grippers' and his brother, John, quickly polished it. Both were done at a very reasonable price. Linda, in Sales, helped me look at other items without the pressure we often encounter at other stores. A big thanks to them and wishing them continued success in Oakville.

The best jewellery store with the highest quality products. I've gotten gifts from here multiple times and it's always been a great experience. Not only does the store have a large selection to chose from making them fully capable of fitting everyone's individual needs and budgets but the staff and owner are the kindest people. They helped me find the perfect gift within my budget, and polished it so it looks extra amazing for when my boyfriend opens it. Definitely recommend this store to anyone in the Oakville area looking for high quality jewellery!

I was looking for a local jeweller as I needed several rings sized and cleaned and found JY Jewellery. I was impressed with the online reviews and went into the store and I'm very glad I did. From the time I walked in I felt very comfortable with the staff and decided then and there to have one of the rings redesigned. They took the time to listen to what I wanted and created a beautiful ring, for a good price and in a relatively short amount of time. The gentleman on the phone was very rude and obnoxious, as a simple "it is easier to do this in person" would suffice. I cant justify supporting a store were basic customer service skills do not exist.

I came to JY Jewellery to get my engagement ring re-sized. They were extremely kind and helpful! The shop owner very clearly cares about her customers and wants what is best for them. Their pricing was more than reasonable and they were very knowledgeable about the process and made me feel good about giving them this precious piece of jewelry. They re-sized my ring while I was still there! Many other jewelers in the area quoted about 7-10 days to get my ring back from re-sizing but JY did it in 20 minutes. The ring adjustment is seamless, it's absolutely perfect!

I found JY when I finally got around to getting a ring of mine resized, as they had really positive reviews. In short they’re fantastic, Christina is not only lovely to deal with but they resized my ring ready for me to pick up the following morning and... it looked better than new and all this for at a very reasonable cost. I’ve since been back twice to get some missing stones in my wife’s eternity ring replaced and to clean some of her other jewelry - she says it’s as if her jewelry box has a new lease of life. And as I said Christina is very pleasant to deal with, I saw her dealing with an incredibly entitled and cantankerous customer with great patience and a good deal of grace, if it were me I might have shown her the door. I highly recommend them for all your jewelry needs.

Christina also helped design BOTH of our son's engagement rings and sourced incredible diamonds at an incredible price. The quality, which is the most important for us , is outstanding!! Our one son wanted his fiancee's ring altered slightly and Christina was very patient in making any changes to make our son happy. When our third son gets engaged, JY jewellry will be.our place. I came to JY Jewellery needing to purchase a pendant and have it engraved on very short notice (within a day) for my girlfriend's birthday. I had tried other places and either a) could not find a suitable gold pendant for a great price or b) engraving services within a reasonable time. Christina was extremely polite, helpful, compassionate and fair when working with me to find the best solution-- in this case a gold heart pendant, and at a great price. When asking her about engraving services and timelines, she told me they could try to have it done by either the next afternoon or the first day of the following week (latest). This was an outstanding timeline, considering everywhere else I went said 2-3 weeks minimum. I asked if they could try to have it by the day after if possible since I was in the area, and to have both the initials I requested and a # all put on a tiny heart pendant. She said they would do their best. I then got a call the next morning--they were able to engrave the initials and number I asked for and make the pendant look fantastic, all by the following afternoon. Very impressive! I am extremely grateful and will be coming back here for any Jewellery-related products and engraving services moving forward. I highly recommend this place for any Jewellery or services anywhere within the GTA (but especially the Oakville area). You can tell that they are nice, honest people running an honest business who are willing to work with you to provide fair prices for their products and any advice that you need to help lead you to the the correct decision. I would not recommend it as it is over priced. I altered couple of Jewellerys at his places but Their work is not so clean. Another thing, I don’t think they actually know what they’re doing because I asked the to fix a thing on my necklace but she rejected saying that it is so fine. Generally, something I noticed that they are OVER PRICED and their work is not worth the money they ask for.

I stepped foot into a warm friendly business today.....Jy Jewellery! I was in Oakville running some errands for my mom when she told me she needed a battery changed in her watch. I pulled up to this location just after close to find the doors locked. As I walked back to my car they tapped on the window and motioned me to come in! They graciously changed the battery while I waited. I didn’t know the closing time, I was fine with having to go somewhere else but because of the “customer first” approach from these owners...I didn’t need to! I am updating my review as a result of my most recent experience. I thought i had a good relationship with the folks at JY but it appears i was wrong. I like to give my business to smaller shops as i am big promoter of local businesses in the work i do. Recently i went in for a repair, the belt loop that holds the band of the watch after you put it on, fell on the floor, i gave it to them, and now they say they dont have it. i could also be wrong but i said ok no problem, and i asked if there is anything they can do to help me out. As i had been there already 4 times before for other work. I asked if he could put any old loop on my watch, he said he didn't have any but he could order one if need be. But then he came out with a bunch of watch band kits with loops in them.The owner John tried to sell me more product. he wanted me to buy an entire watch band kit just so he can use the loop from that kit for my watch. The rest would be throw away. In all my life, and i own expensive watches, i have never seen a a watch shop that didn't have spare parts laying around. Or make an attempt to retain your business. So now i know where their priorities are. They rather make $10-15 on a product you don't even need, instead of retaining you as a long term customer. This is the kind of mentality you are dealing with here. I just left Knar Jewellery on Cornwall road and they didn't hesitate to give me the free loop for the band.. So i will be returning to Knar for maintenance on our Cartier Tank and Schaffhausen Aligator watches. I hope everyone considering JY learns from my experience. Shame on you JY Jewellery.

I was searching for a jeweler to create a custom engagement ring for my fiancé and stumbled across JY on a google search. I have dealt with other local jewelers in the past, but the reviews of JY seemed very good, so I decided to visit them. I am so happy that I did. Don't judge a book my its cover. The outside of the building is nothing spectacular, but Christina and her team were absolutely amazing. Not only did Christina help me in the design of the ring, she gave me a fair price, made me feel very comfortable and no BS. Christina made a wax version of the ring, so I could see the design in person and not just a sketch. The ring turned out amazing and was made well within the timeframe she indicated. My fiancé was so happy with the ring that we decided to also purchase our wedding bands from them and they also turned out very well. We couldn't be happier with Christina and her team. Customer service: 10/10, Product: 10/10, Value for your money: 10/10. Thank you so much Christina for all your help!!! (and by the way, she loves the pearls too!!!)
