I brought my four year old daughter in to get her ears pierced and would recommend Elemental to anyone looking to get their kid's ears pierced. Their consultation was super helpful in getting my daughter prepped for the actual piercing, which we came back for a week later. Corey, and Jocelyn, were awesome in explaining everything in an age appropriate manner and with the two ears getting pierced in tandem my daughter's only reaction was going wide eyed. No tears, and lots of big big smiles upon seeing her ears all pierced.

How to improve your service is self evident if you really want to! Original post: Corey helped me pierce my earlobes - friendly and professional. The piercing and healing went smoothly. 2 stars are given to the lack of clarity of pricing and instruction from the front desk, as Corey only did the piercing and the rest of the communication was with the front desk lady. I told her it was my first time to pierce my ears so I was fairly inexperienced. But despite that she let me pick the ear studs for the piercing and included the jewelry in the total “tippable” amount!! Without mentioning it at all! Therefore without realizing it I tipped 20% which was $60, since I picked two fairly expensive ear studs!! She also told me that they were not piercing my ears and sending me away - I was welcome to come to them if I needed help. So I thought fine with those tips I want reassurance. And now, three months later and my ears are healed, when I phoned in and asked if they could help remove those old ear studs (cuz they are special ones for piercing), they still want to charge! I told them I wouldn’t want to go if I was gonna be charged for a simple removal based on how much I tipped. She said:” Ok I can cancel your appointment then.” End of the story. So much for the high quality and responsible image that you guys are trying to create. This business can be a rip off if you are inexperienced, nobody remembers who you are, and nobody is trying to really advise you on the best options. I would not recommend this business to any friend.

I got my septum pierced here by Alyssa and it was incredible! I hardly felt it (which is how I can tell it was done correctly) and I couldn't be happier with the results! She did such an amazing job as it is perfectly straight and the jewellery size she chose fits my nose perfectly. the pricing is a little more expensive than other places, but in my opinion its completely worth it. Everything was very clean and professional, and Alyssa was so friendly and walked me through the entire process very well. the shop also has a very nice environment, and isn't as intimidating as other shops can be. Everyone there is very helpful, informative, and kind. All their jewellery is high quality and beautiful. My friend also got her helix done by Alyssa and had a great experience as well. I would highly recommend this shop for anyone looking to get something pierced.

Some good and some bad! I really appreciated the cleanliness and care of the studio. (Mask wearing, sanitation, physical distancing, appointment only). But I did have a slightly uncomfortable experience and I have a suggestion to management. I had gone somewhere else to get a piercing a few days before, and had booked a jewellery change at elemental. I was ridiculed for going somewhere else because the employee did not think the piercing should of been done the way that it was. Additionally, was not happy that I had some cheaper jewellery in my ears. My suggestion is that the management should be more mindful of people who are intimidated by piercing studios and don’t know much about it! You are the professionals, and you absolutely know best - but I don’t want to be ridiculed when I go into the studio. I think a kinder approach could of made this experience wayyyy better.

Really bad customer service and attitude from the shop assistant. It was remarkably bad. To just look at the earrings and studs you’re required to book online and pay for a consultation as advised by the assistant over the phone. When there, I requested a refund as we simply wanted to look at the jewellery which was unsuitable and overpriced and the assistant refused. She said “we won’t refund as we need to pay for our covid sanitiser and gloves… I need to spend time cleaning after you touched our jewellery”. I said, “it was very bad service” and she replied, “well, you don’t have to be here”. In addition, no prices are visible in store so it appears that they’re just made up. Beware.

I've had several piercings done here but just recently had another one and decided to leave a review. All of the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and happy to help you in any way they can. They also help ensure your anatomy is suitable for the piercing you wanted and offer suggestions to ensure you have the best experience with your piercing. LGBTQ friendly environment. One of my friends said the piercer who was helping me seemed rude because they refused to do the piercing I originally wanted, however I found it really professional that they refused to do the piercing considering it would be uncomfortable with my anatomy (my tragus are too small to pierce). They genuinely have their customers' best interest in mind, which cannot be said about all piercing businesses in victoria. Its expensive, but frankly I wouldn't want to cheap out on body modifications. Their studio is very clean, and their piercers were well trained with sterile technique, as well as helping people like me who hate needles stay calm and have as little pain as possible. I'm a nursing student, and I was impressed with their sterile technique and therapeutic reassurance. I will forever recommend elemental to anyone who wants a piercing and will go no where else for a piercing myself! Keep up the good work. (I've had my lobes, septum, and daith pierced here, as well as witnessed lobe, nostril, and cartilage piercings done here)

What a fantastic experience! I decided to get a nostril piercing and decided on elemental body adornment after hearing good reviews. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The shop itself was very clean and displayed many certificates on the wall which is always a good sign. Both of the staff members were very welcoming and did a fantastic job of answering any questions I had. Corey, my piercer, took time to really explain everything at each step of the process, and went over how all of the equipment was sterile. The piercing itself is exactly where I wanted it and they brought me a drink and candy afterwards, because I infomed them that I can sometimes get dizzy. Corey has also been very helpful in answering my questions that I've had since leaving the shop. I would recommend this shop to anyone and I know that if I want another piercing I'll be returning there!

I'd had a helix piercing done 8 years ago in a grungy piercing shop in the US. Ended up having to take the earring out after 1 year because it never healed due to their poor work and aftercare instructions. Having done my research this time, I expected Elemental to be more professional/higher quality but didn't expect much more beyond that. Well, I was pleasantly surprised and blown away with the whole experience. The shop is immaculate - minimalistic decor and beautifully displayed jewelry in cases, and it even smelled amazing inside. The rooms where the piercing is done are extremely clean and modern as well. Their COVID protocols are top notch. I had Alyssa as my piercer and I can't say enough good things about her. She was so incredibly nice and personable and provided great suggestions for my double forward helix earring choices. She made the piercing experience very relaxed, and you can tell she really knows her stuff. I was initially worried about the aftercare and pain, but 5 days later, it's not hurting at all, and the cleaning regimen is minimal and super easy. The price is certainly more than what you'd probably pay elsewhere but you get what you pay for! For my first (failed) helix piercing I paid $40 total, and for this one I paid 10x that, but I had two piercings done and it depends on the exact jewelry you choose. It's worth the price to have the peace of mind knowing everything was done correctly and safely and that what you've had implanted into your body is high quality and will reduce the risk of infection. They also encouraged me to call if I have any issues or questions that come up, so they don't stop caring once you pay and leave. I highly recommend Elemental and Alyssa. 10/10!

I honestly can't say enough about the level of professionalism at Ornamental Body Adornment. If you have a child who's intent on getting their earlobes pierced, this is the place to go! As far as I can tell from my research, this is the only piercing studio in town that does tandem ear piercing for children. We had a 20 minute consultation with Jocelyn initially, and then booked the piercing appointment with both Jocelyn & Corey, which is booked for an hour. At first, I was skeptical about the hour-long appointment, as I didn't understand how it could take the full hour. But we ended up taking every minute of the hour appointment, as our daughter turned out to be quite phobic, despite desperately wanting her ears pierced. They were gentle, patient and never put any pressure on my daughter to either proceed or withdraw from going ahead. The jewellery is beautiful and top quality and will last for years. The professionalism, time spent and quality of the jewellery makes Ornamental Body Adornment worth every penny. My only regret is that I didn't know how much to tip and should have done more!

Elemental is a gem! Pun intended. I've been here many times, and brought friends here many times, and have nothing bad to say about it. Their alt jewellery selection is fantastic, and they will order in custom pieces for you if you want something they don't have. I have been pierced by Hannah several times, and trust her implicitly. She has the best bedside manor of any piercer I have been to, and is very well informed. They were also very helpful to me when I was dealing with a difficult piercing that didn't want to heal (through no fault of theirs) and offered to clean it for me as often as I could book in. I had a piercing party there once as well, and they were very accommodating of all of us in their little space!

Brought in my 5 yo daughter for ear piercing. I LOVE their system for ear piercing minors - it was fantastic! My daughter met Kasi on Monday for a consult and got to chose earrings, see the room and Kasi talked her through what piercing would be like. They gave me a quote and my daughter said she’d like to think about it. At home the next day she decided she wanted to have it done so we booked our appointment. Kasi and Jocelyn were the two piercers and they were so calm, encouraging and patient with my daughter. They did a fantastic job and the only pain she had was the initial poke. Around 2.5 months ago I got snakebites here. They are EXTREMELY dedicated to cleanliness and sanitization. They are extremely knowledgeable and answered every question I had. The piercer changed gloves a couple times during the process. She cleaned my skin with iodine and had me use some mouthwash before marking my face with a surgical pen, giving it to me to keep, as they use a new one for each person. Once the dots were marked she placed some rings on them and asked if I was happy with the position. The actual piercing part took about 5 minutes and felt like a little pinch for each side, afterwards she instructed me on how to clean them and keep them from getting infected. I returned a month later and they gladly took a look at the piercings and told me how to continue healing them. This place while on the more expensive side, is worth it for the care and safety of your body.

I wrote that while looking around, and yes, I was a bit shocked on the prices bow compared to when I was younger. After looking at a few other places, what they were charging and what you were getting, the $170+ at Elemental was a steal. The shop was spotless, the staff was amazing with my 6yr old daughter. My six year old decided she was ready to get her ears pierced. I'd long intended to come to Elemental when it was time, based on many recommendations. I chose Corey to meet with as he had so many reviews about how great he is with kids. During the initial consultation he was friendly, engaging and fun, and made sure my daughter understood the procedure and how to take care of her piercing. We went back last night to have her ears pierced. The front desk staff were fantastic and friendly while we waited for Corey to get ready. Corey was amazing with my daughter and respectful as after the one ear she didn't do the other- we thought she would be okay-she wasn't. He spent a long time talking with her and trying to get her comfortable and excited again but she just wasn't. That was okay- its her body. Front end staff definitely need to inform people better about things. I had been told they do not book tandem piercings (previous to today's call) as if the kid backs out they have two pierces out a slot. I didn't understand today why Cory mentioned that he had another piercer coming at 4 today until after I heard it is their policy and they do tandem piercing as we could have waited another hour. I also didn't know they usually want at least a 24 hour wait period before doing a piercing until I was there for the consult. I probably would have gone elsewhere if I had known. I was on the hook today as it was my daughters birthday and I had promised. Over all 5 stars because Cory was awesome and so patient and compassionate to my little one.

At first they seemed like a great place to get a piercing done, a little expensive for the available jewelry (high quality metals) but knowledgeable and friendly. Girlfriend went in for piercing and bought a pair of $200 studs. Here is where the cash grab started. At the cash registered they added both the $50 piercing and the studs on the same tab so when we did the tip out at the end it was on 250 instead of the flat $50, granted partially our fault but still not nice of them to just take the essentially 100% tip without saying anything. Now when she wants them to take them out as we were having difficulty remembering how, they want to charge another $10, despite promises of "helping her through the journey". She called in again to see if they could drop the charge seeing as she paid so much the first time and they decided "Okay we will just cancel your appointment". I have no idea how they have a 5 star rating because apparently after they have your money they don't care about you.

Quite professional and personable the first time we went in, we loved Alyssa but $130 for a single nostril piercing? I get the quality of the jewelry is kind of the stick at this shop, so great if that's your thing but no thanks. The second time, about half a year later going in to swap some jewellery, the dude at the counter couldn't give us a straight answer about it whether he could do it or not and eventually excused himself, saying he hadn't been on his lunch break. Fair enough my dude, we all gotta eat and retail work is tough but not really something that you complain about to a client. We found it lame and won't be back.

During a hair appointment, my stylist accidentally ripped out one of my piercings. I’d only had it for 9 months and I was worried the hole would close so I went to Elemental to see if they could get an earring back in. They didn’t have any space however Kasi (a piercer there) kindly said she would squeeze me in so my piercing didn’t close. Luckily it all worked out and I now have a new earring. Kasi was so nice and knowledgeable. The piercing that got ripped out was a ring and Kasi advised me that rings aren’t good for new piercings. I plan to get more ear piercings and I will definitely be getting them done here!

I had an appointment scheduled for opening time at 12 noon. The doors didn't get unlocked until 12:10. That's fine, we all run behind schedule sometimes. However, when I booked my appointment, I found nothing on their website regarding them refusing to pierce my ear lobes if I was nursing. After going through the rigamorole of downtown parking, and showing up on time (early) for my appointment to be respectful of their time... I filled out the paperwork, picked out the over priced simple jewelry, and THEN, they let me know it's not something they'll do. Thank you for saving me $220 for a simple ear piercing. Yeesh. For wasting my time like that, I'll never darken your door again. And now I understand why the earring prices couldn't be found on the website. 50 dollars for a piercing, minimum of 150 for ridiculously tiny plain studs. I see you have high rent to pay.

Elemental body adornment was one of the most positive experiences I've ever had in a piercing studio. I found a reference off of Reddit Victoria about their thoroughness and professionalism. The shop itself was not over whelming but rather a calm, cheerful space. Right When you walk through the door you can tell they take pride in their work and the appearence of their shop. Everything was very clean and well kept. With my experience it was emotional because it was something I had wanted for a long time but never had the courage to go through with it . Hannah was my official piercer however, Corey also assisted. I've never felt more comfortable about my body especially with strangers but both of them made me confident with my decision and with the procedure itself. Obviously it was going to hurt, its metal bars being punctured through my body, but they went through the entire procedure from sterylization to the actual piercing process and I felt entirely comfortable. Today I went in to get my second lobe piercing on each ear and my helix done with Jocelyn. I haven’t had a piercing for quite a few years and I had such an incredible experience. There was a really large selection of beautiful jewelry to choose from and I was able to choose the studs that I loved. Unlike other places where the selection is poor and so you want to change the jewelry earlier than you should. Jocelyn was so amazing and walked me through both types of piercings and was so calming and great at her job. I was nervous for the cartilage piercing but Jocelyn made it an absolute breeze. She was stoked but nervous after choosing her favorite pair of earrings. Vicki (owner) was entertaining, patient and funny during the choosing! Despite a total commitment and the most extensive orientation to what was happening by Corey my dtr had a complete panic attack on the table. Corey and Jocelyn were kind and patient and immediately got her up off the table and allowed her the time to settle. I went to Elemental a few years ago for my rook piercing and recently went back to get my nose pierced and was lucky enough to have Alyssa both times. She makes you feel comfortable right away, is very professional and amazing at what she does! The studio itself is super clean and they have great options for jewelry. The whole experience was perfect, the atmosphere was amazing and the staff was very kind and never made me feel awkward or afraid. Jocelyn did my ears and was very professional, respectful and courteous, was a joy to deal with and did a fantastic job. What a lovely experience! My piercer, Ryan was extremely informative and very friendly! I'm from Ottawa and he even recommended me someone from my city to help change my piercing to a smaller bar after 3 months. The overall atmosphere was very welcoming and well put together! I got my nose pierced here in Sept 2019. The piercing experience itself was really good - fast, clean, professional. There was a miscommunication about the pricing - the total cost was around $50 more than I had been originally quoted (same jewelry) as they hadn't informed me that the backing of the piercing had to be purchased separately. I don't understand the reasoning behind this and really think they should lump the front and back of the jewelry together for clarity. This was pretty frustrating (especially as a student), and I almost cancelled my appointment at that time... but I went through with it. I love my nose piercing and it healed very nicely so I booked a "jewelry purchase" appointment a couple weeks ago to look at their jewelry, get price quotes, and potentially book an appointment to get a couple ear piercings. I felt like the staff member really didn't care if I found what I was looking for or not. When looking at jewelry, you have to ask for a quote for each individual piece of jewelry and then they go to the computer to look it up and quote you the total cost. Personally, I would find it incredibly beneficial to have some (if not all) jewelry prices displayed in store or online, or even a price range per jewelry maker/display shelf (ex. $25-50, $40-90), so that customers can get a sense of what to expect, and can request a quote for jewelry within their price range, rather than having nothing to go off of. Not everyone feels comfortable asking for the price of every item. The prices themselves are reasonable - the jewelry is high quality and the piercing services are the best I've experienced. But there is a pretentious atmosphere in the studio, and it feels like they don't want to make their services accessible. I haven't decided if I'll go back to get my ears pierced or not, but the jewelry purchase appointment (my reconnaissance mission) left me frustrated and not any more knowledgeable about the jewelry options available. I would really appreciate if the studio made a little more effort to be transparent with their prices.
