After my daughter passed away, I knew I wanted to create a piece of artwork to tattoo onto my arm in commemoration of her. For obvious reasons this was something that was extremely dear to my heart and something I needed to have handled with the right energy and I spent almost 2 years trying to find the right person to create this piece for me. A friend recommended Jacquelina and as soon as I reached out and met up with her I knew she was the one! What blew me away was how she designed an entire intricate half sleeve from my words alone. I explained to her my vision that I couldn't draw onto paper myself and she created it flawlessly and exactly how I imagined it, JUST from my words! The quality and art of Jaqulina's tattoo is one thing... the experience is EVERYTHING. I went to her for my first tattoo for the ink and went back for more because of the ceremony. She has an offering table, hand makes chocolate, drums, cleanses with sage. The light in her studio is beautiful. Her energy is calming. The intentional tattoo ceremony experience - created by Divina Tattoos is out of this world. It is potent, powerful medicine. The ceremony began at the altar to get grounded and set intentions. Then, rattling and drumming to call in the directions. While Jacquie tattooed my thigh with her sacred, channeled art, we talked about our dreams and our ancestors. I enjoyed homemade cacao and delicious herbal tea made by Jacquie with love. Essential oils were diffusing and beautiful music was assisting the journey. During the session I received so many downloads and so much clarity. I’ve been working on a back piece with Divinatattoos since June 2019. Jackie posted a design that spoke to me- I allowed myself to be vulnerable and trusted the process and let Jackie have creative flow. The studio is located in an upper bright studio in downtown Victoria. It’s clean. It’s safe. It’s cozy. It’s calming. Up to safety standards. The whole tattooing process is in itself an experience even before the needle touches the skin! Every penny has been worth it. I couldn’t recommend this studio enough.
