Was on vacation in Halifax from Montreal. Booked an appointment with Andrew over a month in advance for an idea I thought he'd be perfect for. I asked to have the artwork sent in for proof because I didn't want to show up and not jive with the art and waste a bunch of time I didn't really have. I was told by the shop receptionist that they won't do that but not to worry cause any and all changes could be done "on the spot". I showed up and the art wasn't quite at the point where I wanted it on my body forever and was told I could go do something and he'd give me a call in 2 hours or so once it's redrawn. I didn't really have the extra 2+ hours to spare or want to waste Andrew's time in case it still wasn't to my liking. Really disappointing, since it seems to me the whole situation could have been entirely avoided by sending in a proof even 24 hours in advance (which every shop I've been to has done). Andrew was super nice and I dig his work. He gave my deposit back, no questions, but I was stoked to have the piece done and instead it was just a really disappointing experience. Hope the shop will consider revising their policy, if even exceptionally for people visiting.

Could not have asked for a better first time tattoo experience. Cassie Crimson was very accommodating to me and answered any questions that I had over email. When I went in for my appointment the receptionist (Shandi) was very polite and created conversation with me while waiting, which made me a lot more comfortable. Cassie was very patient and kind with me, she is an amazing artist. Even the owner of the shop (mike?) was very accommodating and made sure that I got on the polaroid wall for first timers. I absolutely love my tattoo and would totally recommend anyone to go here.

Went in and had a tattoo done today by Courtney Lorraine. I could not be happier with my tattoo the line work is great the colours are vibrant and the design was perfect. She listened to what I wanted and took it on board and gave her professional advice when it was asked for. I would absolutely recommend going here and in fact am now starting to plan out a sleeve. I had a sleeve done here by Rachelle. Spent well over $1500 on a tattoo she completely botched. First she literally tried to gaslight me into thinking that is was my fault the tattoo turned out badly. Because You know, I was the person operating her tattoo machine. Then Rachelle and jess tried to black list me in the tattoo community so I coildnt have the tattoo fixed else where.Completely unprofessional and immature artists and an unreliable shop owner. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone looking for a pro artist or high quality work.

Thanks for replying.The main reason we were upset is because my husband and I wanted tattoos for our birthdays.Since the mix up, we went out, there by spending the money.They are only small tattoos. The only way we could afford them now is by paying in installments.We still can't understand how 20 mintues could mess our plans and excitement up.

I did not have a good experience. The female artist was not very nice and would complain about her other clients. Talking to the owner about a client she refuses to tattoo anymore. This should not be done in public but private. I would not go back to her. I now go to Silvercity Tattoos where they are more professional then she was. I am now on my 10th tattoo - sleeve almost done now. Thank you Merle Rose. Awesome guy and better artist.

Halifax has some great tattoo shops to choose from. Lyle St has a ton of talent, with styles ranging from Neo traditional to traditional. It's a clean shop and they really go the extra mile to keep their clients comfortable (heaters, numbing spray, etc).

When a company calls to confirm that u made 2 weeks in advance then they call to confirm the day before then they call u 20 min later saying they didnt know that the artist was on vacation they work there and dont know when employees are on vacation very unprofessional
