I had my nose pierced in 2019 by Fran, and I absolutely loved it. Fran was very honest about the placement, the healing process and the types of nose rings that would help the healing process the best. She was right about the healing process and I didn't get any infections. The healing was quick. I was really nervous, it being my first piercing and she was so patient and kind. I went back again for another piercing and it was just as positive of an experience as the last time. She was just as kind and patient and so fun and easy to talk to. The studio is in an apartment building and when you walk into the studio, it feels like something from a New York magazine. Also, being COVID, I was also wondering what the protocol would be like... everything was cleaned and it was obvious it was sanitized. Loved it! Highly recommend!!!

Haven't known Calvin for too long, but over the past few months of getting a cut from him, I dont think I'll be going anywhere else! If you're looking for something simple as a trim or more complex like a gradient fade, Calvin is the guy to go to. Most barbers try to squeeze 1 - 3 cuts an hour but Calvin will dedicate a full hour or more to each appointment. He makes you feel comfortable and relaxed and provide above the standard services such as straight razor finishs for those crisp lines and a complimentary hot towel to top off the session. He is truly dedicated to his craft and it shows in everything that he does. Try him out once and you won't regret it!

If Picasso was a master of art on canvass, Black Collar Barber aka Calvin, is a master of art on your scalp. I've been to several 100 barbers and salons in the GTA, from $8 Asian places to $80 high end salons. With minimal hair that I have, I was never satisfied with the quality of skin fade, despite showing tonnes of examples on google pictures to the barbers. I tried Calvin's service, and ever since, I've been hooked. It's been 2 years now, and he always gets consistent results of supreme haircut, in fact he keeps getting better. If you want to look good and feel good, Calvin is the guy, . Get your haircut and beard done with him, with a reasonable price of $25 for haircut .

Quaint, street entrance, corner-unit shop located on the first floor. Works well for a private barbershop. The head barber is appointment only, the second chair takes walk-ins (I believe he has an apprentice doing free cuts at the moment) . I've been going here for about a year now. His work is always on point. Does a good job of keeping appointment times so if he's booked he won't squeeze you in... which should really be the standard.

I’ve been around different barbers and had given up - trust me when I say I had my share of haircuts that resulted me to wearing hats so I could hide my embarrassment- with this being said I’m sure you can agree with me that you would either find a shop that does a decent job but leave a hole in your wallet or a shop that would have you run to the nearest hat shop you could find so as to hide the poorly done cut.
