Such a lovely studio with a wicked hard working team! I’ve had work from Laura and Ben and both artists are so talented, calm, welcoming and respectful. The studio itself has a wicked wall to wall mural and makes you feel at home from the second you walk in the door. Every artist there is so talented and I am very lucky to have gotten work from these two! 10/10 recommend!

I got tattooed by Chris today and the whole experience was so amazing! Such a wonderful cute small tattoo shop. All the artists were super nice and made conversation with me. Chris was very fast, fun, professional and an amazing listener. I can always tell right away if I will be vibing with an artist for the whole sesh or if I’m going to need to put my AirPods in pretty quickly. I could tell both Chris and I both have the gift of gab. I was always checked in on to make sure I was ready for the next part of the tattoo. Super happy with the experience and I can’t wait to go back in the future! :)

I saw Alise for a piece I found on their Instagram. She was amazing and I had a great experience, I am very happy with my tattoo. The studio is beautiful and I love the mural. After my appointment I recommend this studio to my coworker and he came in for his first tattoo. He was pretty stoked on his experience with ceepokes.

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and really put me at ease. Alise is a fantastic artist and lovely lady - my tattoo turned out exactly how I wanted and is healing perfectly!

Absolutely love this place. Great collection of talented artists who prioritize black work (though some also do colour). They've clearly put a lot of work into the aesthetic; you can tell when you walk in that this was a passion project. I'm excited to get more work done there, and I'm particularly antsy to act on some flash pieces. Specifically received a long-time custom dream tattoo from Ben, who was somehow just as speedy as he was detailed. Every time I look at the piece in full, it genuinely brightens my mood and I can't help but smile.

Had a lovely experience here. Saw Ben for an arm piece, and Ben was just wonderful to work with. I felt welcome and comfortable in the shop right from the moment I walked in. The shop was extremely clean, really nice, and if you look close enough you can go on a rubber ducky safari. It really feels like a small group of people have put a lot of love into this space. During the process I was extremely comfortable and was checked in on an appropriate amount. The artists who I got to have a wonderful rapport with each other, which just lent to the relaxed environment. This is by far one of my favourite shop experiences that I have had! Will be booking again with Ben and Others!

Not been tattooed here, however I've been tattooed by an artist who's worked here in the past, though the tattoo was done out of shop, I just wanted to say that said artist, (Ben B.) Was a pleasure to be tattooed by them, and what a treat it was for this studio full of amazing artists to host them!. Though I've not been tattooed here, I do love and follow many artists from, and the work that is being pumped out is phenomenal, and the studio is a great place to recommend for people within the city, as well as those traveling and wanting a cool space that is clean, welcoming, and full of charasmatic people! Keep it up

Ive been tattooed a few times now by Ben, who has now made Pour Noir his home! The space was really cool with all the art on the walls and the set up, I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. The other artists seem to be really kind and of course are hella talented. Happy to return and re book in with Ben who has become one of my favourite artists! Photo is a new and two healed pieces he’s done.

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with Ben. He was very rude and condescending to me. I have a lot of tattoos from a lot of other artists and have never had any issues before. I will never go back to him due to his attitude. And unfortunately thus do not feel comfortable going back to this shop to see my other artists as I wouldn’t want to run into him again. I don’t want to go into too much detail for my own anonymity as I can’t predict how he’d react. The tattoo itself was fine. And the shop and other artists are great (especially Beirut) so this review is not directed at them! But I do not recommend seeing Ben if you wanted to be treated with respect.

I've had the pleasure of being tattooed by Ben Bainbridge twice now, who has now made Pour Noir is new home. Both times Ben has been very kind, professional, outgoing and made getting a tattoo a very easy and comfortable experience. I highly recommend Pour Noir for your next Tattoo!! It is a safe, welcoming and professional space where each artist holds true to the value of a collective. Alise communicated every step of the process and was not only open to suggestions and feedback from myself, but other artists in the studio. Each artist would bounce around to each station and we would collectively talk through the piece. It felt like a true collaboration, which is great and a lot of fun whether it be your first time or 100th. Alise is not only an incredibly talented artist, but a very kind and wonderful human. My tattoo turned out better than I ever expected (and I have high standards) and I can't wait to return for my next one!
