Went in to see Eann today and got three piercings done. During jewelry selection, he let me pick everything out (that was appropriate for what I was having done) without any rushing. Everything that came in contact with me was single use (swabs etc) or was sealed to maintain sterility. Amazing piercer, incredibly body positive and welcoming. Will definitely be going back. ❤❤

I have been to Next a total of three times to get my triangle piercing stretched. The first time, Eann did not have the right equipment. I left the shop swollen and bloody with my original jewelry. The second time, he did the right thing and stretched it for free and gave me complimentary jewelry. I just went back for the third and final time, to get it stretched to a larger gauge. He knew I was coming in advance, brought my into the room, but did not have the right equipment to do the job. It was a total waste of time. I really do not recommend going here for piercings.

i went in extremely hesitant, but Eann, the guy who did my piercing, was extremely helpful, coming across more as a friend than a person who was putting a hole in my face. after paying and saying what i wanted, he brought me to a chair where talked about exactly what i wanted, figured out the spacing, and subsequently received my piercing. tools were unpacked in front of me, the location on my lip was sanitized and then stabbed. the whole process was absolutely painless, or at least as painless as having a piece of metal stabbed through your lip can be. i will 100% be coming back when i decide to get my next piercing.

Went their two times and great customer service both times. First time I got my helix pierced and they were kind and gave great advice on keeping it clean and taking care of it. The second time I got my septum and second lobes pierced and it was even better. They are very lgbtq+ inclusive and that made my experience much better especially when I was asked my pronouns both by the piercer and on the form you fill out. Again the second time they gave an in depth explanation on keeping my piercings clean. Great covid restrictions too! Was only able to get my septum done after I was 14 days after 2nd dose :)

I got my belly button pierced here almost 20 years ago and have used no other place for my piercings and tattoos since, even though I live in a different city in BC. The customer service is hit or miss depending on who has been hired to work the front (this last time was good). The reason I keep coming back here is because they do the job RIGHT and have clean instruments. One thing I love is that they do a stencil of your tattoo right on your skin, so you can immediately see if its correct or not.

About a year ago, I had gotten my helix done here (don’t remember who my pierced was though, although all staff were super friendly) and my piercer was so thorough and cautious, walked through the procedure, cleaning process and everything with me. Now a year later my helix has healed perfectly and is still doing great. I recently went to adrenaline to get a naval piercing, didn’t realize that the next! Granville location moved so I went with my next best choice. The staff were nice but I felt like I was on a production line. It was just a matter of getting you in and out, super unprofessional, no cleaning tips, didn’t even give me a band aid or something to cover the piercing so it wouldnt hook onto my clothes. The process probably took a total of 25 seconds and felt way too rushed. I 100% recommend next and will definitely be going there for future piercings/tattoos. Thanks guys, ur all awesome <3

Went in for a tattoo a while ago, and it's something very meaningful to me. Here we are just over a year later and I need to ask my current artist to cover it up with a similar design. From a distance it looks fine but up close the lines are shaky and the ink bled, so now the wings on my dove are blurring Together. Its also too small and blurred together for my artist to fix up. Instead we will have to go completely over it. Do not recommend as it turned a extremely meaningful tattoo into something i need to get re done.

Brang my son here to get his ears pierced for his birthday gift. He was understandably nervous but the piercing guy was super assuring that the only uncomfortable part would be the clamp. He assured my son it would be safe, quick and almost painless. He spent about twenty minutes making sure the dot for where the piercing would go was perfect. Then he talked my son through each step he was doing which comforted my son. I knew service was going to be friendly as I went there years prior for a piercing as well. A granny was waiting to get her ears pierced as well, asked my son how it was and his reply to her that it wasn't as scary as he imagined. I would recommend this place and will be going back for myself.

Brought my boyfriend's daughter in to talk about getting her ears pierced and the guy at the front desk didn't even acknowledge her. When I asked him questions I got very short responses. The jewelry display he showed me was not only lacking in options but dirty. I just think if you're going to advertise on your website that you offer children's ear piercing you should be prepared to speak to children and make them feel comfortable and give them lots of information so they can understand the process.

I had a tattoo done by an artist named Marta, but she was not an artist at all. My tattoo looks like it was done by a five year old trying to stay inside the lines. She did it freehand and it did not look anything like what we had discussed. Her lines were uneven and her designs were not at all what I wanted. She did a horrible job and I do not recommend her to anyone.

Geneva is the best tattoo artist I have come across in a long time. I absolutely love her style. She is quick with the tattoo gun and very light handed. She's super knowledgeable about the ins and outs of tattooing, and she educates her clients well. I would highly recommend Geneva for anyone looking to get a first time tattoo, or for the seasoned vet who should really collect a piece of this woman's work on their body. With a tagline like "dragging your dreams into this dimension, limb by limb" how can you not go get inked by this woman immediately??

A really great shop! Came with a friend for their piercing about half an hour before closing, and they still let her get pierced. Very great demonstration of all the different tattoo artists' art along the walls, and very full books of flashes. Huge selection of jewelry at varying price points, and the staff are more than willing to discuss options. It's very easy to get an estimate on piercing(s) and jewelry, as the staff are polite and friendly.

I went in for a second lobe piercing on both ears and I was so disappointed because the employee doing it (@gracepiercemore on Instagram) didn't estimate the symmetry properly. One piercing was higher than the other and I had to remove the piercing right away... It bled on my shirt and bag. I was there for one hour because she was talking nonstop. Sorry to say.

Got my nose pierced here three years ago (twice on the same nostril). The rings were too tight/heavy/close together and ultimately had to be cut out because the piercings kept getting infected despite me following the aftercare instructions to the letter. When I went in to get this looked at I was treated very coldly. One needed to heal over, the other was fine after a change to an L stud (which i was charged for). However, due to repeated infections, some of the cartilage deteriorated and the hole is WAY too big - it's visible from a distance and i have to be careful not to knock studs out by accident. The piercer (different person) first tried to force a screw in and after a bunch of yanking (and me having to outright tell them to stop because i was in pain and bleeding profusely), i got the stud. Went back after six months and got the other done again with a stud, which i had to pay for. Was again treated coldly. I hear this place is good for tattoos, but if you want to get piercings, remember that you get what you pay for. This place is cheap for a reason. From then on I've just gone to Adrenaline instead.

I'm only giving a one star because I can't give zero! I got my cartilage pierced about 6 months ago. It got completely infected and my whole ear was completely swollen. Since the start my ear was gigantic. Well that's $90 dollars down the drain. I went back so he could check it and just took it out and said once it unswells put the ring back in. It's been 3 weeks. My ear completely shut. Not worth the money!!!!! For this bullshit I would've gone to Claire's to get it done.

Went in to price out a conch piercing after being quoted over $200 elsewhere. I ended up leaving with both my conch and tragus pierced for almost $100 less. My piercer Chelsea was great. She helped me decide on the placement and was super quick and friendly. My ear is on fire right now but I am stoked and will be recommending Next to anyone that asks. :)

I like that you can get loose beads here by donation. I got my nipple pierced vertically here, and she used way way too big of a gauge. Hurt like no other piercing, and I have 17 .... it took over a year to heal. still gives me problems.

This is NOT a review for the business, but for an artist - I booked with Steve and drove 6 hrs down to Vancouver for my appointment. Not only did he email me the night before and change the time (very unprofessional), but he then no showed the next day claiming he had "sent an email at 7am" .. he didn't btw. The shop had no idea where he was, nor were they able to get in contact with him. Save your time and money and go to someone with higher standards of professionalism.

Natalie is an incredible tattoo artist who is a credit to her profession; I’ve had the privilege of having several pieces done by her all of which have been thoughtful, unique, distinctive and full of character. Very good at explaining her designs as well as making you feel at ease and relaxed during the session. Nice selection of body jewelries too & they are very supportive/inclusive of LGBTQ community & fellow local businesses which I was very impressed by. Prices are much fairer (IMO) compared to most shops in town, service is very friendly & personable - last but not least the artists here are innovative, skilled and professional. Highly recommend.

I love going there! They make me feel right at home no matter what I'm having done. Everyone there is very friendly and they'll talk to you rather than just grab your money and go. They really do try to take care of you. If you can't afford all the extras for after care they will let you know what the next best thing is at home. Chelsea pierced my 8 year old daughters ears. My daughter was a little nervous going in but was fine as soon as she met Chelsea because she's great with kids and was super patient and nice. Super disappointed that none of the artists can seem to answer emails! Looking to get a big piece, have the cash and open schedule as well as willing to let the artist have full creativity. It seems strange that a few of the artists seem to always be begging for work on a Facebook group called inkpower or Instagram. Well snooze you loose, I booked with a shop who can actually reply to their emails. Have fun begging for work on inkpower ! Learn to respond to people! It’s bad customer service!

Geneva was a great tattoo artist, did a custom design for me for my first tattoo. Quick and painless. She was so helpful and great to work with. Not impressed with Bunni we came in for 2 tattoos and she was supposed to talk to us and tell us she couldn’t do one of them, she failed to over 2 HOURS later. The tattoo turned out alright but there is a line that is thicker then the rest and stands out now. I’m glad I didn’t get tattooed by her and instead booked with Geneva.

I got my septum pierced at Next about a month ago, the lady wore gloves and she sanitized everything.(Cleaned my nose too) She took her time to make sure that the piercing would be in the sweet spot, she pierced my septum and put in the piercing. Just got my first earrings/piercings here! The employees here were super nice and adorable :) i really enjoyed my experience and I wish I knew that tips were cash only! The debit machine didnt have an option for it! Im definitely coming back later!!! They were also really clean overall, and had a basic info pamphlet for me so i didnt mess up my ears, and when signing my consent form there was a prefered pronoun question for those that might want that option :)

I got my belly button pierced here when I was 15 and the piercer did an amazing job explaining everything to me and my dad and making sure that I was comfortable with everything. I would definitely recommend coming here.

Thank you! I got my first tattoo and it was really spontaneous so I just walked in. But I am really happy with it. Best memory of my year abroad! The lines are really tiny and it healed real fast.

There's nothing wrong with my tattoo, but Alina seriously needs to learn professionalism. I waited 45 min, which was honestly fine - what was ridiculous was the fact that she then sat me down, put the transfer on, then left me while she talked to a random person walking in to ask a question. Why would you do that???? Won't go to her again. Finding a great artist isn't hard - it's customer service that's needed these days!

Went to Next for the first time recently, the shop is in a good location, and is clean and spacious. I got a tattoo from Bunni and not only is she professional, but personable, kind and courteous, everything I look for in an artist! My new ink looks great and she made sure I was comfortable throughout my appointment, I will be coming back to see her in the future :)

If there is a one star button that’s what I would give!! I booked an appointment for my sisters and I’s tattoo. We both booked off work to make this happen. We were on our way there, about 50 mins away since we live an hour and a half away from the shop. They called us and told us they couldn’t do our tattoo anymore. This caused so much inconvenience for us as this was the only day in the past 5 month that we were free at the same time. We were getting matching tattoos and if they told us before they couldn’t do it then we would have booked it somewhere else since that’s the only day we both didn’t have school. This is unbelievable and all they said was sorry about the miscommunication... don’t ever go to this tattoo shop if you want your appointment to actually go thru. we also paid 80$ deposits but that meant nothing to them because if we cancelled the appointment they we wouldn’t get our money back but it’s totally okay for them to mess us up like that. Truly unbelievable!!!

Me & my boyfriend got tattoos here about 2 years ago from Aaron; my boyfriend's first (but not mine). Aaron did an awesome job on our tattoos, I would say we would definitely go back to see him - but I already have! They are super friendly at this tattoo shop, patient when deciding placement/sizing of course, they are totally up with covid protocols and professional all around! Highly recommend this shop, and specifically Aaron.

Great piercing experience! Eann is super friendly and every part of the piercing process was fun and pleasant, especially choosing and customizing the jewelry with Eanns help. So many custom colours available and Eann double checks with you every step of the way to make sure you like everything. Everythjng looks high quality and organized. You're also greeted at the door by a very happy looking snake which is a huge plus!

Anyone reading these reviews because they are looking to find a place in Vancouver that they can get in right away DO NOT GO HERE! I called probably every shop in Vancouver to get in for me and a friend last min. It’s hard to get a last min appointment on a Saturday in Vancouver! My friend was only in town that weekend. Major regrets. The tattoo is shaky and lines are really bad. It’s a terrible tattoo. I wish I had been more patient and waited for a good artist. It’s permanent on your body. Artists that are good are booked up for a reason, thah is a good thing. Don’t go somewhere because you need it now. My tattoo is ugly and they just printed it off the computer and didn’t do any artist flair to it. And it’s verh bad will have to get fixed. Don’t go here do your research

My boyfriend and I had been in contact with the artist for tattoos. We love far away so we made the appointments about two months in advance. We drive all the way downtown and 20 minutes before the appointment, they called to let us know they couldn’t do the tattoos anymore (both very small less than 20 mins). When I asked about getting the deposit back, they said that “it was to the discretion of the artist”. I went in person abs demanded my money back, but I know others that never got it back when it was the artists poor time management skills. The receptionist was nice enough although the whole situation was messed.

Work speaks for itself. Look at any of the tattoo work done here and it’s so shaky and bad. Stay far away from this place. Most people go here because they take you on the day. A good tattoo artist is usually booked up months in advance sometimes so let that be a warning for you. I would be weary of artists who aren’t busy enough that they can do walk ins everyday

I have nothing but love for this parlour. I have gotten all my piercings done there and each time Eann has been fantastic in making me feel welcome and comfortable. The tattoo artists are great as well, everyone seems to genuinely be happy to be there. I have two pieces by Geneva, one that I had been told would be a particularly tricky cover up. She did great work on it and was very accommodating.
