I would definitely 100% not recommend moto concept,i took advice from dual sports bc and all ive had was problems with shotty work. Stay clear! I spent 1000+ dollars and had issues that brought me back to get things they did wrong 2 times and i have a third problem now that i wont go back to them as they have done a poor job. So much wasnt time and money, aggrivation and disappointment. Issues i had include: cross threaded shock mount bolt(installed wrong bolt), broken throttle cable(gave them new one they broke and didnt tell me), front brake cable got cut by the tire due to being installed incorrectly, the last issue that i didnt return to them, even if they said it was free was they did rear sprocket and wheel bearing, i drove it less then 50 km and rear wheel wobbles and bike can no longer be driven, all in all months of hassle. Wouldnt recommend there work to my worst enemy, huge disappointment. Just dont do it.

Moto Concept is the best bike shop in the lower mainland. They have professional, passionate, and knowledgeable staff with expertise in all disciplines of riding and experience working with all machines. From Harleys to sport bikes to dirt bikes to scooters, they have you covered.

I've gone to Moto concept for years, never had an issue! Guys are very nice and helpful and, above all else, honest! If you need the work, they'll let you know, if you don't, they'll let you know.

Very Intelligent Motorcycle techs. I felt comfortable and the guys took the time to explain exactly what was going with my bike after the service. Thanks for keeping me and my bike happy and ready for the spring :)

Fantastic mechanics and excellent customer service. These guys do a wonderful job on my ('95) BMW and consistently maintain a high standard. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good shop.

Jessica Marling

My first time at the shop today and was very happy with my service. Patrick is a Legend! Very kind and on point :) Thank you Patrick and to the rest of the staff that helped in the shop! I'll be back!

Jesse D’Odorico

Moto Concept is the BEST shop i have EVER been to. Not only were their prices great, the mechanic Jeff made sure that my bike was running smoothly and properly in a timely manner. I left my bike with them on Saturday with only 3 out of 4 cylinders working without any clue whats going on and by thursday he had fixed my Plugs, Coils, Injectors, Buildup removed, patched my tire, cleared my computer errors and more.. GREAT pricing, GREAT people, EXCELLENT WORK MOTO CONCEPT!!! I guarantee I will bring all my rider friends to you for any of their or my future issues! :) I appreciate what you have done more than you probably know! THANK YOU!!

Jennifer Mary

I am a new rider and this was my first experience getting my oil changed. It could not have been worse. I was barely acknowledged by the staff and the girl behind the desk. Will not be going back. Yes I am reviewing the correct place, Moto concepts. If anyone had actually spoken to me I would have known the girl is an 'entry clerk' but she was still behind a desk. My name is anonomous, so I won't be in your system.

Hector Alvarez

The best, worth every penny! Very professional and knowledge owner. These guys are awesome :)

Jay M

I successfully consigned my motorbike here. Good sincere communication from Patrick at the front desk throughout the process from listing to payment.

Brad Rigg

Had a couple great tattoos from here, from both Kyle and Lisa! Professional, clean, and a great environment. Everyone was very welcoming. Would hang out here every day if I could!!

Kenny Dietrich

Jason and team at Moto Concept helped bring my bike back to life. I brought in a 86' Honda Shadow with a variety of issues... Their team is professional, knowledgeable and prompt to get you back on your bike within your budget and timeline. I would 100% recommend Moto Concept to anyone looking a shop to fix their existing bike or purchase a used bike from their showroom. Great work guys!

Granny

I love these Gents. My bike was fixed and cleaned up a bit and charging on the floor. My experience has always been top shelf at MC and with 30 years under my belt I've encountered many shops. I highly recommend Moto Concept Inc. I ride a Harley with an old evo.

D “did's” Ten

Very knowledgeable staff, great service, they fixed my bike in no time at all and the price was right. Chef at Did's Pizza

Great shop - great guys! I had an unplanned coming up from California last month when my bike crapped out. I had no clue. They got me back on the road with no fuss - it's still running great. Their shop rate was low and the service good. I recommend this shop. Running into pros like this almost made me want to live in Vancouver.

M:

I took my FZ1 in after a used purchase. It takes some getting used to bike mechanic rates in metro-Vancouver, but then again same can be said for food & housing. The level of professionalism, clear communication, honesty and fast solid service make these guys a safe choice. Suggestion: before complaining about the price, take your bike out after the tune up and feel that clean bike move .... mmmmm.

Jamie Stevens

I took my 124 S&S motor in for some work. They did a great job on my fuel line, exhaust and oil changes. I must really say this shop is outstanding. After going to other shops, this one is the best. They fixed my head gasket x2 and resealed my top end of my motor. They are now my go to shop for service. The job was done is a respectful time matter. I feel I wont have warranty with this company. Highy recommend these guys!

Lorne Haveruk

Great guys and very helpful. Tons of interesting bikes.

Roc Carson

I've been bringing my R6 here for over 10 years, these guys are awesome. I actually found them by using Google Maps!

MagusEleven (Manny Landry)

This is where it's at. These guys took real good care of me. My bike only goes here from now on.

B D

Love these guys. Solid dudes, good prices, and good service. Their customs are pretty slick too! Great place to buy your first or fourth bike!

Jean Lambert

Prompt, courteous, professional, and skilled. Great service - my top shop.

Trevor Throness

I bought a 1988 FJ 1200 sight unseen from this shop. They assured me it was in great shape, and sent pictures. I didn't even dicker on the price, but just took their word for it as it looked great. After about 100 kms, the clutch seals went and I had them replaced. These things happen, it's an old bike. I continued to have clutch problems and the bike smelled strongly of gas, so took it to my local shop. They went through the bike in detail and in the end replaced front fork seals, brakes front and back, rebuilt the carbs, fixed the clutch, replaced numerous loose/wrong bolts, added missing passenger pegs, tightened up the very loose rear axle, changed the leaky petcock valve and much much more. $5000 later, the bike is in the condition that I assumed it was when I bought it. My fault. I should not have taken the shop's word for the condition. Buyer beware.

Erik Lehman

Super nice guys and beautiful bikes. Good selection and good prices. Helpful and friendly!

VOLVO NORTHSHORE

(Volvo) Dave Watkins I have had motorcycles my whole life and dealt with many shops but these guys are awesome. Good techs and pricing thank you Jeff for keeping my F800gs on the road.

Nana Kay

What a great shop - so professional and efficient. The atmosphere is really great, will definitely be back! Bonus were the shop dogs, made me not want to leave!

David Y

Always great service from the team here!

Brandon McLeod

Best local place to take your bike. Great service and staff

Raymond V

They sure know their stuff! YOU GUYS ROCK!

Daphne Wong

Great place for a tattoo! Everyone in the shop was so friendly. Lisa did an amazing job on my tattoo. So happy with how it turned out.

Jared Carmichael

Yes, Jason is very helpful. And prices were reasonable.

Justin Ormiston

Personable, friendly, knowledgeable people. From the owner, to the front desk to the mechanic, all individuals were involved and treated both my bike and I like gold. Moto Concept went above and beyond, ensuring all details of a high end suspension swap went flawlessly.

Paul Whishaw

These guys are true motor heads so you may not get the "dealership" service you are used to. What you will get though is great work done on your bike. I told them I needed a service as my bike had been parked for a few years and they just did what they needed to do. They didn't call me to tell me all the things needed to be done. They also didn't call me when it was done but that's not that big of a deal as I just assumed they were taking care of things.

Pontianak Sythaeryn

Brought a Suzuki motorcycle in to them in June to sell on consignment, and to date they still haven't put it up on their website, craigslist, or kijiji 2 months later. I've called them repeatedly on this, always given the run around. How does this even make sense from a business standpoint?! Reply to Owner Response: More than one employee confirmed that you were having problems with online listings due to somebody leaving the company, and it was only last week that one of the employee's admitted that they just did the photoshoot like the day before. With that said, this review was posted before I was informed the bike was sold (I got the call it sold about 2 days or so after I posted the original review). At the end of the day, it sold, so I'm bumping up the score. That said, is certainly wasn't showing up on your companies craigslist postings or on your own website, so don't know what to tell you owner sir.

Barrett Radziszewski

Moto Concept has been a pleasure to deal with for a recent insurance claim that I have been going through as well as a brake pad replacement. I plan on doing more business with them in the future as a result!

DG Williams

Great guys, very helpful on short notice with a tricky problem. We're still working on it (they're locating aftermarket parts to install). I have high hopes! If all works out, I'd go 5 stars, so this review is perhaps a bit premature. UPDATE, FIVE stars! They came through like champs. Great job guys!

Best Shop in Vancouver by far!!

Rob D

Throughout my experience I dealt with Morgan. I bought a licence placeholder for $14. The next day, I returned it because it did not work with my custom made bracket. The first question he asked me when I tried to return it: Did you use it? B: No, I did not. Morgan: Is it in the same packaging? B: It's in the original packaging I even showed him the item. He pondered for a few moments and he flat out said no. He continued to say that he would charge me a restocking fee of $20, if were to return it. It is a first that I've ever dealt with a company with such a policy. I am not impressed with that kind of BS. For a $14 item with a $20 restocking fee. Makes no sense at all. Won't be back, that's for sure.

Peter Bielefeld

I can't say enough good things about this place. They are friendly, courteous and professional. The work done was first rate and explained well. They are also competitively priced. I will be a returning customer for as long as I ride. Thanks guys....and keep up the great work!

Brandon Throssell

Awesome experience at moto concept! Very knowledgeable and great staff. I will be bringing my bike back here for sure! Highly recommended. Cheers guys! This morning my clutch cable snapped. :( called Motoconcept, the said bring it down... No problem!. They helped me out in a pinch. Great guys. Thanks again Jason, you saved the day! :)

Friendly and knowledgeable guys that know their bikes!

Bruce Knapp

I was referred to MotoConcept when I bough a BMW K1200S from a fellow with 12 motorcycles on the North Shore last summer. I have been to the shop for an emergency rear tire plug, a tune up, and will return for my 40k service in the fall. Their BMW technician is the best I have met after years of owning BMWs. I honestly think that anyone who gives them a poor review either does not know what they are talking about, or has unrealistic expectations of what it takes to fix bikes of all types quickly and properly.

Michael Sorgiovanni

Such a rad place, i could hang out all day. Lisa did an amazing job, love the shading.

Darcy Fitzgerald

Very friendly and helpful staff. Seems like great mechanical service so far and I really like that they added a barber shop and tattoo parlour!

Aaron

Easily said. The best motorcycle shop

Cesarino Battistel

I'm very impressed and I haven't even used their services! I phoned today (Friday) to see if they could sell me a battery. They said sure but it would have to be ordered for delivery on Tuesday. Seeing as how the weather was forecast to be perfect all weekend I really wanted to be able to get a new battery sooner so I asked if they knew anyone else nearby who could sell me one. Well you can imagine most businesses are not going to sent potential customers to their competition but these guys did! They gave me the names of two places that might be able to help me and sure enough one of them sold me a battery that day. That kind of attention to 'customer' needs is unheard of and Moto Concept THANK YOU ... you will have 100% of my service business from now on, guaranteed. Mike

Chris Ruimy

Great experience at this shop. Jay, the owner, is a very friendly guy and very helpful. Good service, good prices, and good quality. Would diffinetly recommend.

Scott McEachern

Happy to find a local motorcycle repair shop on the north shore. Personable staff who diagnosed and fixed my ATV quickly and for a great price. Would recommend Moto Concept to others.

Farica N

Jason is a very knowledgeable and friendly gentleman. I am glad to find him to fix my hubby's new toy.

David Fernandez

I have brought my bike to Moto Concept few times, feels like good all days mechanic shop, nice people, you can talk to the mechanic even ask about problems on the phone to get some advise or help. Even that I live far from the shop i wouldn't take my bike anywhere else.

Best motorcycle shop around! Jason and his crew are great! - Cam

Love love love my new Tattoo done by Lisa at Moto Concept !! Lovely setting, nice people, amazing talent.

Tosh Whitworth

Went in for a new stator and fork seals. Called after it being in the shop for 1.5 weeks and he said they did the seals and are looking for stator parts. I call back again the week after and he says they are still looking and he needs a bit longer. I say I'll pick it up the next day and deal with it myself, he asks to keep it a bit longer. Regardless I show up the next day and they hadn't even started any work. They lied about doing the seals to keep me happy. Took the bike back after 2.5 weeks with nothing being done cause" they couldn't find parts." I found a stator and fork seals in an hour and didit myself.

Review My experience with Motoconcept: I purchased my first motorcycle from Motoconcept in February of this year. I decided on a 1988 FXR they had for sale for $16,000. The bike had 59,000km with the motor being rebuilt around the 50,000km mark. I told them this was my first bike and they talked this bike up and said it was great and the FXR’s are a very sought after bike. After some thought, a little research and discussion with friends who have both dyna’s and FXR’s, I decided I was going to buy this bike. They advertised the bike as recently done up, with a decent amount of new modifications. I live in another province and purchased the bike under the impression and their trust this was an awesome ready to go bike. The bike was delivered later than expected. With minimal updates being made by the seller once they had my money. Upon the arrival the following was noticed about the bike: My biggest concern, the frame. It is very rusty and was recently spray painted to hide the rust. There is a large dent in the frame which is a concern for the structural integrity of the frame. The rear wheel is not installed correctly and has a lot of endplay, the rear caliper bracket is contacting the rear rotor. I can shake the wheel side to side with minimal effort. The rear axle had been installed with the wrong nut (supposed to be a castle nut to lock it from coming loose) so had I not had the bike looked over before riding this could have ended much worse. The fork seals are shot and are leaking oil excessively. The wiring is far from neat and tidy. The primary is leaking oil. The battery tie down is missing. The riser bushings are shot. The rear tire is done. There is no speedo cable. Lastly, most of the parts were spray painted and have begun to peel. The bike was sold to me with none of these being noted prior. I recognize that a 33 year old bike might require some TLC, but this is not a $16,000 bike. After some serious delayed back and forth over email (they took sometimes up to a week to respond) as they would not answer my phone calls, it finally came out the bike was sold on consignment. Motoconcept would not take the bike back and would not compensate me in any way aside from me shipping the bike back and selling it again on consignment through them. I purchased a motorcycle through a dealership to not deal with this kind of unprofessionalism, and to purchase a safe bike that is road-ready. This unfortunately was far from the case with Motoconcept.

Hans Ter Horst

It started out good, I had a screw in my Street Bob rear tire and they helped me quickly on a Saturday morning. So far so good, however upon getting my bike back I noticed my license plate was handled and slightly bend. Okay, I rode home 5 kilometers later and arrived without the license plate. It had not been fastened properly and I lost the plate. I retraced my steps, after a good hour no luck and had to buy a new plate at $25.00. I call this sloppy work at $120.00 per hour shop rate I expect much better. I did call it in but the response was lacklustre and no offer for any compensation. Last time for me going there.

Jodi Montgomery

Great vibes! Professional, clean and comfortable. All about the love and support for the whole team at motoconcept! :)

Lucas Marincelj

I went in for a flash tattoo, came out so pumped I came back a few days later and got another one and have another one booked for as soon as possible. Prices are extremely affordable. My advice; get in there and get something before you cant get on their schedule any more. Couldn't be more grateful. Will be going back as soon as possible Love these guys.

Sandra Bartlett

I came in with my 5 year old son who is a dirt bike fanatic and they made us feel so welcome. They showed him the bikes offered to give him a tour of the shop and we felt very welcome. This not your average bike shop. I can't wait to go back. Thank you for the awesome experience.

Frederick Harvey

These guys are the best in Vancouver. I have had my bikes serviced in a number of shops over the years, but the mechanics at Moto Concept are honest and know there stuff better than any I have run into. I was totally impressed with the prices, service and after service. I will definitely be going back to them!

Mike Dale

First experience with them this spring was great! Professional team and great service. Will be my “go to” going forward.

Cam Atkinson

These guys go out of their way to help you. Highly recommend. I live across town now, but I still make the commute to get my bike fixed by them.

Nick Shaw

Wonderful shop!! Very clean, professional atmosphere with friendly staff and exceptionally talented artists.

James Carter

Really rad place! Very professional and the artists kill it! Would recommend to anyone looking for an awesome place with friendly talented staff!

Chad Neufeld

They poked me with needles, made me cry ???? then made me pay for it!

mason dorozynski

Very unprofessional and shotty work.

Steve Krawczyk

Brought my bike in to have two new tires installed, fairly expensive at 150$. But they reinstalled the front fender incorrectly which made it contact the rear tire and scrapped a bit of paint off my brand new paint job. Also they reinstalled the adjuster on the rear backwards so you cant see the markings. Sloppy work for a high price. I will definitely be trying a different shop next time.

Shawn Sheehan

So..... I bought a used KTM 625 (pretty rare bike) off CL. I knew it needed some work, but the price was right so I went for it. I figured I'd take it to the dealer for the first service then maintain it myself from there (I have some mechanical aptitude). So, 3 days, and $400 later the dealer has no clue what is wrong with the bike (their brand) and is quoting me up to $3k to fix it? But what IS "it" nobody even knows yet!? So I say no way .... looking online, I see these guys Moto Concept Inc - I email them to check their shop rate and boom - before I can look at another shop online, I have a response from them - awesome start... I get the bike from the dealer, drop it off with these guys, head mechanic - on the spot - gives me what he thinks it is, and a rough idea of cost (keep in mind he was handed a non running bike and a box of parts......Awesome.... They spend a day digging into it and give me a firm list of parts, cost, and labour to fix it. One week to get the parts, one day on the bench to fix it and cost me exactly what they said it was going to cost me. I even tried to buy a new battery and they talked me out of it saying there was nothing wrong with mine! I have had a lot of bikes, sleds, ATV's over the years, and have found a lot of shops to be less than......trustworthy we'll say..... But these guys are awesome, good shop rate, accurate estimate, quick repair.

Patrick

First time in, the bald headed guy with the funny facial hair was extremely rude. I ended up walking out. I'll never go back and I'll make sure anyone I know doesn't go either.

Gareth Rider

Popped in for a quick tattoo. Lisa was great and very patient and Ryan was very personable. I have no experience with the bike portion of the shop though I would bring my bike here if I still had one. I like the addition of tattoo services - quality and experience was great. I’m sure we will be back.

Adam Christian

These guys have helped me out by supplying some minor service parts (for a KTM) that other shops simply wouldn’t sell me. They’re located just down the street so this has saved me $ on disproportional mail-order & shipping. Cheers guys.

Michael Mcgoldrick

Great service, nice staff, good products. Have been taking all my bikes here for years. Never an issue with anyone there. Can't say enough good things about the shop

Marc Siemens

Will start with a straight up 5 STARS! Too easy. Years of being loyal to my dealership and years of frustration finally led me to make the switch and find a new motorcycle shop (mechanic). Only regret is waiting so long in making that decision. And MOTO CONCEPT INC. was literally 5 minutes away from me this whole time. Live and learn. Stopped by to get an impression of the shop and took a matter of seconds to know this was the place. Fantastic customer service and my new tires were ordered and appointment made. This process in my past would have taken month(s) (not kidding). Was so impressed that I just about gave this review prior to the appointment, but my better judgement said follow this through and be sure the quality of workmanship matches the customer service. Well... fantastic follow up on customer service and same goes for the quality of work, speedy process in getting work done and what I feel is very fair pricing for what was done. Price is important, but it is far from the most important thing to me... so huge bonus! I tip my hat to MOTO CONCEPT INC. These guys know their stuff. That goes for motorcycles and customers. One is just as important as the other. One HAPPY CUSTOMER! Marc Siemens
