Had my forward helix pierced by Ryan and I have historically had bad luck with piercings rejecting, getting infected etc etc. Ryan was wonderfully reassuring, kind and so professional. He made me feel very relaxed and did a great job explaining everything to me very well and my piercing was virtually painless and subsequently healed absolutely beautifully with zero problems. I travelled from Langley to go see them and will be doing so again for some new jewelry from their exquisite collection. I would highly recommend Adorned to anyone looking for piercings and can't thank the Staff enough.

(Translated) I did not have the piercing there but the staff offers a lot of information on how to take care of your piercing and how long to wait before changing the piece, they give many very different recommendations to those they gave me in Mexico, for example, here they told me to wait 8 months so that the wound would heal and be able to change the piece while in Mx they told me to wait 3, this was based on arguments. And they have some really cute pieces that are very worth it. Flawless piercing experience beyond what I had expected. I was recommended to check out arcane body arts through two ladies I encountered at a coffee shop. I was contemplating getting my septum pierced to my friend and these two strangers heard me and kindly recommended me to visit this place. They told me arcane body arts provide really compassionate, thorough, and nonjudgmental care - and they really did. I had quite high expectations entering the store from the beginning and I came out impressed above and beyond what I had hoped. The person who pierced my septum was so professional and skilled and patiently answered all the questions I had. I cannot thank the two lovely ladies from the coffee store and the staff at arcane body arts enough for their service.

The entire staff here is great! Aliyah is a great piercer. Puts you at ease and answers all your questions. The shop carries a very high end gold jewelry selection. Everyone is very helpful answering questions about jewelry and curation. The shop can also place custom orders for customers.

I am vegan and have been tattooed dozens of times over the past 22-plus years, all over the U.S. and abroad. I am new to northern Washington, so I wanted a more local vegan tattoo artist, so I contacted Arcane several months before my planned tattoo date (on my birthday), exchanged several emails with an Amanda, sent her pictures and the actual tattoo design, and she made an appointment for me with a tattoo artist David, at a specific time. This was a very special birthday tattoo, an important one to me, and it was important I got it done on my birthday, which is why I researched vegan tattoo shops and booked the appointment months ahead. So I emailed yesterday to confirm the appointment, and I got a response from a Michelle, saying Amanda didn't work there anymore, there never was an appointment, and they wouldn't accommodate me. She was pretty rude. So I'm glad to know what a poorly run shop this is before I got tattooed there, I'm glad I'm not going to ever be tattooed at Arcane, but it still messed up my birthday, so that's a bummer.

Went to a Charles Finnie for a septum piercing after many recommendations from friends. Was absolutely not disappointed. Clean and unpretentious space, staff made me feel secure and comfortable. I personally think when you get a tattoo it should be a positive experience, as it is a life time commitment for both you,y body and the artist to have their work on display. I can't say that I would recommend the tattoo artist as I felt it was not a shared experience just another body filling a space. My extremely small tattoo is does not have as clean if lines as I expected for such a simple design. In all honesty it was a regrettable choice of artist. Next time I will chose someone who shares the same values as I do when commiting time , body and energy. I realize not everyone feels the same but having permanent experience should be personal not just a transaction. Just me? Other staff were much more into making it an experience well at least acknowledged.

I couldn't get the rook because of the anatomy of my ear but she was able to accommodate me with another piercing I wanted. I had a great experience at Arcane today. After moving to Vancouver I have been looking for a new studio to go to for my piercings (I have quite a few). Everyone at Arcane was pleasant and helpful from the moment I walked in the door. It took me a while to decide exactly what I wanted and Michelle and Ashley were pleasant and helpful the whole time. They gave me good advice and it was obvious that they were well-informed professionals. The jewelry they carry is all incredibly high quality and priced reasonably with that in mind. I was very impressed at the level of service I received, especially considering that I was only looking to swap out jewelry at this point. I will for sure be going back to Arcane the next time I decide to get a piercing.

I had a second earlobe piercing on both ears done by Charles (although my appointment was booked with Chance). He was great and the girls at the front were great with helping select the jewelry. The reason I'm leaving a 3/5 rating is because of the actual transaction and tipping. Buyer Beware if paying by card: tip percentage is calculated based on the total cost of services AND goods so you'll also pay a tip on the jewelry rather than just the piercing service. EDIT: Michelle, the store owner was AMAZING and super accommodating in regards to the last part of my review. Highly recommend and appreciate her reaching out!

Overall not great. Staff were moody and not helpful, made me feel like an ignorant (even though I have other piercings done in the past in other places). My helix piercing never healed and I ended up taking it off a week ago (I did my piercing there back in April). I followed the procedures as always and bought the soaps and stuff they sell you. Didn't even bother going back to ask for a refund or assistance because I knew all they'd do would give me some attitude. I lost $100 some, so for sure I dont recommend it and Im not going back.

Honestly the best experience I have ever had. I was greeted by the kindest people and the woman who helped me was very knowledgable and super nice when it came to my budget and what would work best for me. Ryan is an excellent piercer, he took an exceptional amount of time explaining everything he was going to do, and finding the correct place for my septum to go. The way they pierce it seemed odd to me (head almost upside-down), but it made sense once it was done. I would highly recommend this place, but just know that it is a tad pricier than other places because of the jewelry and the excellent services they offer. Will be back for any future piercings.

Got my both nostrils done there. My teenager got her nostril done there too, and my preteen got his ear pierced also. So far so good. Thor has been a great piercer. Even tried to fix a piercing his colleague did on me that was not that great, free of charge a year later.

So, I never leave Google reviews, but I had to this time. I first came months ago wanting to get a third lobe piercing, but learned that since I didn't have enough lobe space, it'd end up a cartilage piercing. I was disappointed because my helix never healed properly and I didn't want to go through that again, and so I lingered in the shop for a while, not knowing if I should take the leap. Charles was so kind and never lost patience - he assured me I could return after thinking about it, since piercings shouldn't be taken lightly. I did my research and came back yesterday, knowing exactly what I wanted this time. I had my tragus and conch pierced by Charles. The entire process was streamlined, pleasant, and I felt that I was properly informed of each step along the way. I have to admit the jewelry was pricier than anticipated ????, but I didn't feel that I was being upsold; Charles was honest about which piece looked best with my current setup and which was more economical. He was also very friendly about offering to send the photos to me and that I should message him if I ever had any questions - they do provide an ongoing aftercare service. They're appointment-based for now due to COVID, which I like as it made me feel safer. The piercing room was also sanitized beforehand. Overall, I had an amazing experience. And I just want to give a shout-out to whoever is taking care of their Instagram page. I messaged with TONS of idiotic questions and not only did they have a saint's patience, they also always answered in a timely manner. I can't express how glad I am that their studio was the first to pop up when I googled!

I've been pierced by Charles and he's incredible. Very professional, opened sterile instruments, had a very clean work space, had great bed side manor and took the care in making sure my two nostril piercings matched up well. He uses only the highest quality jewelry and I could really tell as my piercings healed better than others I had done elsewhere with poor quality stuff. He gave me easy and clear aftercare instructions that I was able to follow in my busy life. He was also available to message afterwards when I accidentally lost a piece of jewelry. He's knowledgeable about his craft and I'd recommend him to anyone who wants a piercing! I actually just went back for a third piercing by Charles, this time my philtrum. Both Charles and the owner of the shop, Michelle took the time to help me shop for which piece of jewelry fit my budget and would look best for that piercing. The whole environment in their shop made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I once again left super happy.

Went in for a piercing with Charles - unfortunately the did not have the design I was looking for but Charles was super helpful even after it became clear I wasn't going to go through with the piercing. Took his time to show me as many options as I wanted without any rush. Location is calm and chill (not crowded at all which was great!) Will definitely recommend this shop & Charles to anyone!

Both Thor and Chance are amazing piercers. Thor pierced me back in June and was such a lovely human being that I almost just wanted to stay to chat with him. He was super gentle (considering he was poking holes in me) and professional while also being very personable. 10/10 will see again. Probably going to claim him as my piercer. Chance helped me just at the beginning of January. I had bought a lip for my vertical labret and the piercer that I'd spoken to initially (not at Arcane) had just gone with it. I don't blame the guy, it was a busy day but I was getting very frustrated as the ring didn't fit my lip right. Turns out, that's basically just not a thing as much as I want it to me. Chance talked with me in between clients and gave me options. I ended up walking out with a shorter bar w/a disk. I also had him replace both my nostril and my septum piercings. I felt so much better leaving. Overall, Arcane is an awesome shop. If you need help and want a proper low down, go here. I've never had a bad experience. Not once.

I really want to say that I overcame my fear of needles to finally get a double piercing, but the truth is really that Thor took such good care of me, I didn't even have the opportunity to feel nervous. I explained to him I had a bad experience when I was younger and was nervous and he explained to me exactly as much as I needed to know about what was happening, kept the space very serene and calm, and it was over before I knew it. He patiently waited for the color to return to my face and for my legs to feel less wobbly before escorting me to the waiting room. And I got a lollipop. The space was nicely decorated and very clean, their emphasis on hygiene and quality was forefront.

I was a bit nervous because I hadn’t gotten a piercing in years and he made the process go extremely fast (literally a minute). The place is very clean, it has a cool vibe, (lots of great stuff to choose from the the decor is cool too) and everyone that works there seems to be very knowledgable and kind. I also came in a little early and got squeezed in which was great. I definitely would recommend them and if in the future I want more piercings I’ll go back.

Highly recommend for ear piercing. Our 8-yr-old had her ears pierced here, and the staff was amazing with her (with parents too!). Ryan explained the whole process, made sure she was comfortable, taught her about piercing care and answered all her questions honestly. Respectful and genuine. The jewellery is very high quality - not the junky stuff at the mall stores - and will be something she'll treasure for many years to come. I experienced piercing ear infections as a kid, plus a poorly-placed third piercing, and I'm so glad my daughter had the best experience possible for this milestone.

I had a really awful experience here. It was my second piercing and completely different from my first one, so I had a lot of questions. Rick and his assistant would always laugh condescendingly every time I asked, as if I was foolish for not knowing everything. He also wouldn't let me see the alignment of my industrial piercing before it happened, despite me repeatedly asking to see it. He kept assuring me that he was the best, but that didn't matter to me, I just wanted to know that I was getting what I wanted BEFORE the holes were put into my ears. I was really offended by their attitude, and the fact that he used his status as a way of comfort instead of actually giving me the information that I needed. I grew very anxious and got the holes without seeing the alignment and they asked how I liked it. Well, it didn't matter at that point since the holes were already made... What's the point of caring about my opinion then? My piercing also grew bumps that have gone away since I started doing salt soaks - something they recommended against but the rest of the world has agreed works. (And it does work!) Truly not a fan of this place and I won't be going back. Thanks for the awful experience..

I recently had to take my piercings out for an MRI and couldn't get the last two tiny rings back in my ear. One of the best piercing shops and experiences I've ever had. I've been to three different piercing shops before this one, and only one was absolute garbage (overcharged, explained nothing, gave me cheap jewelry, pierced me with the wrong gauges). Quick background, I have 10 ear piercings, all around 6 months old. I went in to get a custom industrial piece because the piercings weren't done in a way that could allow for a standard straight barbell. Rick spent a lot of time trying to fix the custom industrial piercing I got from a past piercing shop (the horrible one), explaining what they did wrong, and what I did wrong at the time. Gave me loads of info on what I should do, what he was going to do, explained every single step so I knew what was going on. Absolutely loved the amount of care and attention he gave to the piercing, I've only ever had such a good experience at one other shop (not local). Definitely going back for future piercings and jewelry. Highly recommend.

They were totally amazing! I made an appointment for 2:30 and I showed up 15 minutes early and they were able to fit me in as sooner than my appointment! When it came time for piercing we marked out my ears perfectly even (which is a little difficult because my ears are slightly different sizes) and they made my piercing as painless as possible. It was over all a great experience I would definitely go back again in the future to get pierced again.

Three stars due to working with a really wonderful tattoo artist previously. Went in a few days ago to get a couple rings to begin stretching my ears and it turns out they needed to essentially re-pierce them. So the cost of that plus a pair of plain glass starter plugs to begin taping and I guess sterile jewelry that wasn't thrown in as a bonus. I believe very much in paying artists and professionals a fair wage but holy crap, $110 bucks?? My fault I guess for not asking upfront how much it would cost, expecting it to be more reasonably around $70-85, max. Great tattoo artists, brutal prices for piercings. Not saying they aren't professionals, but make sure to ask what the cost of your service is going to be lest you be left awkwardly stuttering at the counter like I was.

Ryan did an awesome job with my septum piercing, I wouldn‘t hestitate to get any other piercing done by him. I got my Daith pierced by Chance, which was good, but I would prefer Ryan over him, just because he gave me a better aftercare introduction and payed more attention to the whole process. Unfortunately they didn‘t have both times the jewelry I wanted, which was a basic silver ring. So thats my only minus, that they never have the basic ring in storage and it takes ages to get them. They are also a bit pricey, which is ok because the service is usually good.

I just went to Arcane Body Arts today to get a septum piercing after thinking about getting one for years. Because of COVID, I decided to wait until now since it's safer. When I arrived, they confirmed my vaccination status and had me fill out an informed consent waiver surrounding the piercing and aftercare. They have lots of gorgeous jewelry, as well as titanium and steel options! Charles pierced my septum quickly, was super knowledgable, and a great person. I felt safe there and all their equipment is professionally sanitized. Their team was well coordinated and they did a great job with my piercing. I had quite a few questions that Charles addressed patiently, and they also explained how to care for it after, and what to expect during healing. As an added bonus, their waiting room is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you guys so, so much!!

Amazing experience! I was a bit nervous to get my conch pierced because of some horror stories I heard, but after going into the shop I was completely soothed. Rick's demeanour was very calming, and he was very informative about my jewelry choices and helped me pick out an amazing synthetic opal cluster. I got my actual piercing done by Thor, Rick's apprentice. I was not at all worried, Thor was very friendly and Rick made sure that Thor's work was nothing short of spectacular. Conch piercing barely bled, and nothing took me by surprise. 10/10 would come back for all my piercings.

I never, ever, write reviews for anything but I feel like I have to for Adorned. I have had a few piercings done in the past and they have all been questionable experiences and the majority of them have ended with me having to remove them for one reason or the other (bad placement, rejection, bad technique leading to trauma, ect). If you go to Adorned, that is something you will never have to deal with. The place is extremely clean and professional. Rick is awesome and knows what he is doing and will walk you through everything. He does everything freehand and his technique is very gentle and extremely precise. All the staff are very knowledgeable and they care a lot about the health of your new piercing. I tried to get them to change my jewelry 3 weeks after I had been pierced because I am ADD when it comes to shiny things and they straight up told me no, it's too early, and told me to come back in a month or so instead of just doing it for a fast & easy sale. So yeah, if you want to get a piercing this is the place to go, plus they have a gorgeous selection of jewelry and the apprentice guy is cute, lol

I’ve had my lobes pierced by Charles in their previous location back in 2019, the process was nerve wrecking and extremely painful. The moment he started mapping my ears he started breathing really heavily, which didn't help with the anxiousness of getting professionally pierced for the first time. The process of putting in the jewelry feels rough and he had to go in with the needle a second time to get it in which was really painful. Fast forward two years later, I booked to get my navel pierced with Aliya(didn’t booked with Charles for obvious reasons) and took a day off of work to accommodate for it. Just to have my appointment cancelled the day of because “she won’t be in for the day”. Since I already took a day off work to have this done, I decided to give Charles another chance. I walked in to my appointment and the employees just started at me coldly. No smile, no greetings, I actually had to be the one to break the ice to tell them I have an appointment. Like last time, it ended up being the same heavy breathing, and a lot of painful tugging to get the jewelry put in. The whole process took less than 3 min. When it’s time to pay he sat down right next to me and essentially started me down so I feel pressured to tip heavy. I didn’t even know how much I tipped until I check my email for the the receipt, which ended up total 240+. I tipped more than the cost of the piercing service itself and the pierce of titanium jewelry ended up costing $135, which I later found out the average implant grade titanium navel jewelry only costs $20-30. And that I could’ve bought a piece of 14k SOLID GOLD navel jewelry in the exact same style for $35 more. I was not planning to write this review but I couldn’t live it down and I felt ripoff and scammed.

I made an appointment with Chance for a PA piercing based on the reviews of this place. I was really nervous obviously due to the sensitive nature of this piercing and was apprehensive to say the least. After walking in Chance greeted me and the staff at the desk got me signed in. All super friendly and the shop is extremely clean and well appointed. Chance explained the entire procedure and showed the instruments he would be using and the aftercare procedures prior to piercing me. Made me feel right at ease and the piercing itself was done with literally not much more than a little discomfort. Chance is super professional and an all round nice guy. Took my girlfriend here the other day for a simple thing. The ball on her nipple ring fell off. They charged her $45 for something that should have taken less than 15 mins. She also said she felt extremely uncomfortable with the whole situation because there were 4 women working at the store and the one dude there came to serve her. Didnt check her ID or ask if she wanted a girl to help. For such a simple fix I wouldn't expect him to need to take her shirt of anyways and take so long doing it. when I told the ladies in the store she felt uncomfortable with it they did nothing and told me this was how its done by "professionals". She has made a complaint to BBB. We will definitely never come here again.

They are wheelchair accessible, LGBTQ+ friendly, COVID protection including temperature taking, and also have online scheduling if you want to ensure you can get your piercing in case they don't have time for walk-ins. Got my lobes done by Charles. He worked around the significant scar tissue present in my lobes with no issues, and you can tell he’s extremely skilled from the smooth piercing and jewelry follow through-the second lobe was finished before I realized the jewelry was even in. Beautiful shop, good location, and great selection of luxury solid gold jewelry. I would personally prefer a larger selection of titanium or niobium jewelry (anodized black niobium is what I mostly gravitate to) but they carry enough basics for initial piercing. All in all, for todays ear styling/luxury jewelry trend this place knocks it out of the park. 10/10.

I have had 4 separate piercers mess up my nipple piercings in the past. I came in with an inquiry about scar tissue, to see if I could get them redone. Chance was phenomenal in not only his expertise and knowledge but patience in explaining to me. It is extremely difficult to trust piercers with my past experiences, but when getting them redone, his calm energy really helped me relax. He did a perfect job and I am very happy!

I have been to this location on a few occasions to deal specifically with Thor Dehr, who was one of their main piercers and by far the best piercer i have come across. On more than one occasion i was hastily dealt with by a very short and dismissive (one could even say somewhat rude) staff member whom i later found out was the owner!! I just came to find out that Thor is no longer with them when i inquired about getting one of my healed piercings changed out. This is going to be a big mistake on their behalf as Thor was the only reason that i came anywhere near this establishment after my first experience with the owner. His gentle skill, customer service, and bed side manner are second to none. It is very clear that I am not the only one that has had such a great experience with him (as attested by other reviews), and his absence will surely be missed by the business. I will be sure to continue to recommend, support, and trust in Thor's Skill and will follow him wherever he ends up. ANY studio would be more than lucky to have him as an appreciated and valuable part of the team.

The place is oh so clean!!! Thor gentle and amazing even though all I needed was an insert as my nose stud came out. The receptionist totally helpful and calming I ended selecting a new piece for my insert. I would definitely recommend this place for piercings.

I did my second lobe piercing and my helix at this place. I found the staff a bit rude, not really explaining in details. It was my first real piercing as I was still a baby for my first lobe. I was a bit worried. The process took 5min, bit rude but ok, I mean maybe the guy had a bad day. After a month, my lobe piercing was itchy and a bit red, I came back to ask for advices. He almost laughed at me saying I was overthinking it and that I should not worry. After 6months, my lobe piercing was still not healed and hurting (it’s supposed to heal in 3 months) I sent them an email to ask again for advice. I also started to have a keloid on my piercing. It has been 10 days now and I never got an answer. A bit desperate, I went to another place and they advice me to change the jewelry as I might have an allergy. 1 week later my piercing is completely healed... I wish I would have gone to this place in the first place... Do not spend you money there as customer service is REALLY bad, they just want your money.

Adorned is FABULOUS. They are serious about high quality piercings (I had a lip piercing that was poorly done by another studio, and they did their best to salvage it), and the service is excellent. The prices reflect the vast experience that Rick has and the quality of jewelry. I would not go anywhere else in Vancouver--too many shady experiences elsewhere.
