The energy in the studio is literally electric, and the enthusiasm is amazing. This review is specifically for Nick. The artistry, the professionalism and the talent is incredible. He made a 23 year old tattoo have a whole new lease if life by creating what is without a doubt the most amazing custom design from a very vague plan of mine. If you get the chance to receive Nick's work, do not hesitate, you'll be a walking work of art.

If I could give this place more than one 5-star review, I would! The space is super clean, bright and private. The tattoo artists are one big friendly family. I've got two tats from Cody and I could not have imagined a nicer human! He got the job done FAST and was gentle handed the entire time. He's been in the biz for 15 years and it shows in the work he does. I've also gotten tattooed by Sean and he is the sweetest as well. THANK YOU. I will be coming back here until my skin is covered.

Both my daughter and I have experienced the wonderfully professional body art from Russ and his amazing staff. From initial consultation to artwork approval they are incredibly talented. The atmosphere in Electric Umbrella is eclectic and fun with the interactions between staff and clients a mixture of like minded people. The body art that I have been collecting for the past 20 years has always told a story of my life. Electric Umbrella is the 5th tattoo shop in that time and by far the best in my opinion. Russ knew exactly what it was I wanted my art to look like after a brief meeting. And the end result is amazing. Many thanks and kudos to Russ and Electric Umbrella.

Was recently tattooed by Sean. He's super fun and very talented. I had 2 small tattoos added to the collection and he did a great job. He made sure to take his time and had ideas as to wear to place them on my arms so everything was cohesive. We also chatted and laughed a lot. It was a good first impression and the staff made me feel super comfortable. The atmosphere is great. Tons of beautiful artwork on the walls which displays their immense talent. Some shops I've encountered over the years aren't super friendly and/or accepting of what you're looking for. I will definitely continue to give my business to Electronic Umbrella and would highly recommend him or anyone else there for your next tattoo ????????

I've had lovely work done from two artists here now. Clean shop and personable talented staff. Shop minimum for small tattoos is very reasonable. A friend who I went with also got tattooed and passed out briefly (no fault of the shop) and the staff were considerate offering water and checking in on us while taking a break from the tattoo as she recovered.

Me and two friends had the awesome fortune of stumbling across this place to get matching tattoos while on vacation . Since it was last minute we got their apprentice Sean. He was amazing! He had a soft hand and did awesome line work. He went above and beyond to make sure to get to all three of us in his day. Also, I am a very big lady, he put me at ease with my questions about the sturdiness of his table and didn't make me feel awkward about myself once. If this was the apprentice, I can just imagine how awesome all the people who work in this shop are! Thank you Sean for being the icing on top of this great vacation!!

Being out of province, and bored i decided it was time for more ink. From the first message, I was already pleased. They booked me in immediately, and the pricing is so good for the amazing quality tattoo you’ll receive. Going through the albums of the artists from Electric, I decided that anyone of these Artists would be awesome, and I’d come out with a great tattoo. But what I didn’t expect was Ross. He is a sweetheart (accent definitely helps ????) but more than that he talks you through each step, the idea he has for the finer details. He checks in regularly to make sure that you are doing good. He’s gentle, and all around a joy. He takes his work seriously, and the absolute talent he has is mind blowing!! I am a black and white tattoo person and he made sure to make the details and shading standout. I am in love with my Pikachu tattoo and it is all because of Ross! ???? recommend him !

He worked with us to come up with exactly what me and my partner were looking for. Had a wicked first experience here. Called the shop, they got me in for same day to do a little memorial tattoo for a very recent passing. Great artist, lack of professionalism. I got a tattoo from electric Brit roughly a year ago, and have been living unhappily with it ever since. I tried to tell myself many times that it was satisfactory and up to my standards, but its been a full year and I am still not happy. So here is why: 1. I came in to the shop with a friend after trying to get through via email and phone unsuccessfully multiple times. No responses from electric brit whatsoever. When I came in in person I had a design I had in mind for over two years, and brought in a rough draft I had drawn. Everything seemed ok and she asked to modify it slightly, which of course is fine. I explain that I am picky about tattoos and would like to see it at least the night before in case I would like to make changes, since I wanted this to be exactly how I imagined it. She said she would try to do that, she didn't. 2. So I arrive the day of the tattoo to find her still drawing my design. The design is not slightly changed from the original, but completely. Many of the unique factors completely gone or changed. So I think oh ok, lets just change a few things to make it match what I had in mind a little more. I suggest a few changes, she gets mad and accuses me of not liking her style. Then she leaves to have a smoke and suggests to me "think about what you want changed". I told her quite a few things and after a brief change it still looks not as good as I had hoped. I felt rather pressured and knew I would loose a 100$ deposit if I backed out now. But you should not feel pressured by an artist to get something permanently tattooed on you forever. 3. Finally we get a design which just barely meets my expectations, and I cave to it due to how awkward this situation was becoming. She did a great job during the tattoo, she does great line work and made no errors. But ever since I have not been happy with it, and even tried emailing her directly to finish colouring it, hoping that I would like it after that. Which again ended in lack of responses. She responded a few times, its definitely the right email in case you were wondering by this point. Overall, I am sad to say I regret picking her as my artist for this design. She is a great artist, and she does what she does incredibly well. Just don't expect her to listen to criticism or changes, even when its your own design. 5/5 for the art she does, 0/5 for professionalism.
