The girl at reception isn't friendly at all, but considering the fact that girls are usually hateful, etc. with other girls, TYSON was AMAZING with his work!!! I absolutely love my tattoo!! Will definitely go back, despite the cold reception.

Got my first tattoo done by Joey, she is incredible kind and knowledgable about her artwork. I was immediately impressed by the sketch she drew up and the process was quick, easy and looks fantastic. The whole staff here is great I was able to look around and saw the other artists designs and they looked awesome as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality tattoos. Pricing is also very fair and it shows in the finished product! Thanks Joey!!

The prices and staff are really good. Definitely one of the more friendly tattoo shops. I got an original piece done by kate when she first started tattooing. There are a few shaky lines and I think she was a bit heavy handed, but overall I'm happy with everything. The overall experience was good. The owner does amazing work.

Amazing roster of artists at Passage! I have been getting tattoos from Jay for almost 20 years and they all look amazing. He has a knack (likely the result of decades of experience) for taking my vague ideas and creating designs that always exceed my expectations. It is funny how many people I meet in my circles who have been tattooed by someone at Passage (there are lots). The Church street location was great but the Geary shop brings things to a higher level. It is a clean, comfortable environment with lots of natural light and a family feel about it - a great place to hang out and get some really good ink.

This is by far my favourite tattoo shop in the city, the work is always top notch and the staff a extremely friendly, creative, and accommodating. I’ve gotten 9 tattoos (and counting) from German and I honestly can’t pick a favourite because I like them all. His style, line work and shading very high quality and he’s always able to draw up a design regardless of the subject matter. I’ll definitely be going back for my next tattoo

Very cool space and very talented artists. The artists here are wonderfully nice and the upper level tattoo stations are in the cozy attic part of the building. The space is very unique and homey, stations are very clean and there are many pieces of art throughout the shop. Check out the artists here, theyre all fantastic. Definitely recommend!

With it's eclectic array of art adorning the walls, Passage tattoo is small enough to seem friendly without feeling cramped and boasts a good variety of talented artists working in different styles. I always look forward to my appointments. German Shible is my usual artist who always exceeds my expectations with his designs.

This was for me first tattoo. I wanted a fairly small script tattoo done by Jay. He was amazing at helping me choose a suitable font and his work was impeccable. Everything was very precise and 2 years later there is no fading. Excellent experience!

Great shop, from the layout to the staff, it's awesome. I have to give a HUGE shout out to German(my go-to artist) . He has now done 50% of my tattoos (and counting) and every time he tattoos me, it becomes my favourite tattoo. He's got a very gentle and steady hand, his designs are fantastic (I never ask for a preview, I trust him THAT much) and am always blown away by how he takes my criteria and exceeds my expectations. Every piece he has done on me looks as solid as when he first did them on me. His lines are incredible, his colour saturation is out of this world. To top it all off, he's one of the most modest and humble people I have ever met. He has also tattooed my husband, both my kids, my best friend and two of her kids and one or two other people I know. Passage is full of talented artists and the new location is clean and beautiful. Strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a great tattoo in any style.

In my opinion you will not find a better tattoo artist in the city than Jay Decator. I have been going to Jay for 22 years and he has done five tattoos for me. I'm going for my sixth with him this week. Jay has always exceeded my expectations for design, shading and quality of work. The Geary Ave shop has a very comfortable and cozy old school atmosphere and charm. You can't go wrong going here, whether it's your first tattoo or another of many. Jay is friendly, knowledgeable and extremely talented.

This is a horrible place. They are rude to kids and will kick you out if you show up anytime with kids and make you feel out of place and unwanted. Rude staff and unpleasant experience would not reccomend this place to anyone.

Jay Decator is the best. He is first and foremost an artist and you can see it in his work. He works hard to make sure that tattoo desigbs meet the aesthetic and emotional wants of his clients. He is a true pro in every regard. His tattoo shop might seem more out of the way for some but is well worth visiting Geary Avenue, which is full of character and becoming increasingly more so and the strip Itself feels like a special find. If you go, don’t forget to also visit Bloodb Brothers Brewery for a post-tattoo pint at a pretty special place. Can’t highly enough recommend Jay Decator!
