I've been here a number of times and have dealt with a lot of different people, all of whom have been professional and friendly. They fixed my crooked vertical labret from a different place, and took their time getting the perfect placement for my nose stud and septum piercings. I've also had two tattoos done by Ryan, both of which are very well done and exactly what I wanted. When I had an unfortunate reaction in the shop to my latest tattoo they gave me chocolate, let me stay as long as I needed, and checked in on me regularly. Their shop is also extremely clean. I always recommend this place for tattoos and piercings.

I will just start this off by saying WOW! As soon as I walked in the front desk made me feel extremely comfortable, the shop had a great vibe and they were all very professional. I have had multiple piercings done before but was extremely nervous for this one. Tyler was AMAZING! He walked me through all the steps of the process and after care, he made me laugh, helped me calm my nerves (Nervous was definitely an understatement) and it was just all around probably the best experience that I have ever had with a piercing. I have been here a few times over the past couple years. I have been pierced by the amazing Kara (who does some amazing tattooing now) and had "two" tattoos done by Ryan. Ryan has done a memorial piece for me as well as my sleeve. Lovely environment and experiences start to finish! For tattooing I had a consultation with Ryan before each tattoo to talk about what I wanted. He asked me questions, which was nice, for me, to pull out relevant information. He crafted beautiful, amazing pieces that I love for what they mean to me and the artistry contained within them. He will totally see more of me in the future. The tattooing area, as well as the entire store, is clean, has art work hanging on the walls. Of course music playing. Everyone who works there has been very nice. I have only had one piercing done there, which is my industrial. This was done by Kara, who is now tattooing instead. However, other piercers have looked at it when I was worried (I get worried easily with piercings). Lovely experience, as much as an industrial piercing can be. I mentioned my propensity to pass out for piercings, Kara had me lay down for the actual piercing. She triple checked measurements after she stopped adjusting placement. They were also happy to let me lay there for "as long as I needed," they also gave me a chocolate, though I am sure they do that with everyone. All in all I have had some amazing experiences, pre- and post- work done. Really helpful and willing to answer questions on the phone or in person.

THIS SHOP IS MY GO TO in Nanaimo ! IT ROCKS!! I stand by this shop 100% not only is the staff welcoming and make you feel at ease but their cleanliness practices are top notch. The piercing jewelry is beautiful, unique, and made here in Nanaimo. But above all their tattoo Artists Ryan and Kara rock! I have several beautiful detailed and ornate tattoos done by Ryan as well as some super cute and colorful tattoos done by Kara. Both artists are great to work with, they listen and will make sure you are happy with every detail in your tattoo. The picture added is a piece done by Ryan, A detailed ornate frame with George A. Romero's eyes.

The booking process was thorough and the team was incredibly understanding of my being behind schedule from unexpected road work, they were professional and inclusive and made me feel comfortable. Both piercers were obviously very skilled with what they do, and I had picked a difficult piercing (bridge piercing) to receive as they are notorious for rejecting and difficult healing. The piercing was slightly noticeably crooked but that is to be expected on account of swelling, the right side having been pierced slightly shallower, which wasn’t a big deal. However after 2 weeks of hands off and following the correct healing protocol, the right side was noticeably migrating forward and i had to remove it to reduce scarring and speed up healing. I have never had a piercing fail so that was surprising but also a liability of the spot. That being said, I would recommend them to folks looking to get pierced, they use quality jewellery and they have a long track-record of positive results. Jessica

I had a nostril piercing done with Tyler this week and I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ve had some ear piercings done before in other places and the healing experience has not been great and it always gets infected.But this one, wow!, my nose is not even swollen or red. The quality of the piercing is just amazing. And everyone was super nice, addressed all my questions and explained everything super clear. I was even sad that it was so fast to do the piercing and I didn’t get more time to chat with Tyler who was so nice and patient. I also love the inclusive and loving sign at the door, we need more spaces like this one <3 Will be coming back :)

His tattoo designs are very unique and I will be going back to him to continue some work on another arm. Very well trained in cleanliness which is especially good during COVID. I've had two piercings done by Tyler, and one (soon to be two) tattoo by Kera. All have been really good experiences. Initially it was a group of friends getting piercings that got me in the door, and it was a super positive experience, I came back a couple months later for a tattoo. Super clean environment, but very welcoming atmosphere. Not the stereotypical dingy tattoo parlor vibe, more of a quirky professional atmosphere. Their reception team is to notch, and very personable.

WORST TATTOO EXPERIENCE EVER. I paid a 300$ deposit to Cara West. had to wait over two months to see a drawing, with little to no communication on what she was planning. tried to message her about design without any kind of response on what she had planned. two days before I'm supposed to get the tattoo I go see the design and it's basically thors hammer. I never once said I wanted thors hammer and she didn't tell me that's what she was planning. After this, she refused to work with me on changing the design and when I was told I wouldn't get my 300$ back I suggested she tattoo a symbol that she didn't have to draw she could easily trace. She refused and said i needed to find a new artist. That's when it was no longer a deposit and became theft. I understand that the deposit is there to protect the artist but when there is no communication on design and not willing to work with me at all on changing it. then when I suggest she tattoos something she didn't have to draw and she tells me to kick rocks EDIT: I truly wish the situation had not escalated the way it did. However a very polite and understanding manager to the shop has contacted me and informed me that she has been away and that I will receive my money back. Since then the money has been returned to me. Again it was never my wish to upset anyone just to inform people of my experience.

The atmosphere in the entire shop is so chill; everyone has such a great sense of humor and are very attuned to how their clients are feeling. Even when my anxiety was super high (first tattoo), Kara was so calm and helped me to relax. The place is spotless; they are so careful with making sure they have everything clean and sterile.
