Was a little hesitant going in cause some of the reviews here seemed a little all over the place. Checked around for a shop that was able to accommodate a custom tattoo design for Mother's Day. All in all we worked with Branden and had a great experience. Went in for a consult about a week in advance, didn't get to see anything design wise until the day of - but it was awesome and totally what we were aiming for. Only awkward thing that put us off a little was customer service & professionalism. Despite showing up to the shop a little early, we kinda just sat in the lobby for our 1pm for about hour before we had any kinda update and got underway after 2pm. At the end of the day though, we both left with a gorgeous custom piece that met our idea perfectly. Branden was definitely talented, fun to chat with and patient when I was in pain during a last minute placement on my clavicle (that I definitely should've had the forethought to lidocaine in advance).

The lady put too small of a hoop, and too small of a gauge in my nose. It wouldn't heal and actually ended up causing a lot of pain. I had to go else where. The jewelry was of terrible quality as well, which caused some of the issue. Definitely won't be returning or referring anyone there. She was rude and short, definitely not a friendly place to be.

i just graduated highschool and the general consensus of the teens i met there was that dragon butterfly sucks. the woman with the dreadlocks was a lovely piercer, she was very professional. the new man that's replaced her is found by many people to be quite rude and unpleasant. i personally have found him to be rude as well. I got a labret done by him, he bitched at me the whole time because i asked why they didn't use sea salts, then he did my labret completely crooked. it swelled up and he didn't give me an appropriate sized barbell to accommodate that. i eventually took it out. not going back there anytime soon.

For year, this was my go to spot.. however, I've been disappointed with the last few piercings. It is also extremely disappointing to see that the owners of this shop responds to only their positive reviews. I would hope if you replied to any reviews it would first be the not so great ones to reassure your customer's that you've not fallen off with your levelare. I hope you have an hiried a professional piercer since last time as the lady who was at reception was it and she struggled to get the need through my body and the pricings themselves are uneven. Unprofessional and painful! I would run in the other direction if you are thinking about getting a piercing done at Drangon & Butterfly.

Staff is friendly and shop is clean and organized! Got a helix piercing done by the apprentice piercer. Made sure I was happy with the placement before piercing, they did a great job! Overall really good experience and lots of choices of jewelry too!

TERRIBLE, RUDE SERVICE!!! My son was told to come in at 5:00 pm to get his earrings out with a special pair of pliers. At 5:00 they told us to come at 6:00, at 6:00 they told him to come at 7:00, being told it is first come first serve. HELLO! He called and made arrangements FIRST for something that only took a few seconds to do, plus we live out of town. So when I wanted to buy the pliers to do it ourselves no one would come to serve us from the back even though the doorbell rang several times. When I commented on the service the lady stopped the sales transaction and put the pliers away saying she didn't want me to speak. She finally sold it to me after seeing my son get upset after the ordeal. When asked what her name was, she claimed to be the owner but refused to give her name. A simple "Sorry, but we're short in staff today" would have been so much more professional. Not happy at all. :(

It was my first tattoo and I was really nervous. Branden was great! He told me what to expect and walked me through the process. Once I was in the chair I was actually very calm. It was a calm environment. Branden and I shared a few jokes and I even zoned out at one point. He started with the small spots so that I could get used to the pain. If you're getting a first tattoo (or just want another tattoo) I definitely recommend Branden :) He was great!

I will say I was apprehensive about going to Dragon & Butterfly because of reviews on here but I had no reason to be. My mom and I both got our forward helix piercings done here tonight and it was the best experience. This is our third piercing within HRM and I won't be going anywhere but here from now on. Colleen was thorough and gave us exactly what we wanted! Jewelry is very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

The artist was 20 minutes late for the appointment and didn't do what I asked for. The tattoo healed nicely and with minimum pain, considering the tattoo was on the top of my foot. Still, not getting what I wanted kinda gave me the negative experience. It was an important tattoo and I was disappointed with what I got.

I was worried at first going to this shop because of how low the prices were compared to other shops, but they did not disappoint. The lady was super professional and the space was very clean. Would not recommend getting peirced or getting a colored tattoo here.. I've gotten many peircings here, and at other locations and this place is not clean nor is the peircer vert knowledgeable. She had to stop half way through doing soing my rook peircings, so she could try again.. That is not normal. And she has also left tools attached to the jewelry in my new peircing and just left it hanging from my ear/face. I also received a terrible tattoo here. I left with parts if the tattoo not even touched by the ink, ans other parts weren't covered as well as other spots. There was no shading eith this tattoo either. I ended up going to get it fixed at another location.

Showed up at closing time after my Labret piercing fell out. It had partially grown over in less than 24 hours! Owner helped me out and gave me some great advice. The place was very neat and clean. Prices seem reasonable too.

I had a tattoo done here yesterday by Krystina and I was really impressed with her patience and level of professionalism. She took the time to redo a particular image I brought in and when that didn't work was more than happy to help me figure out something else that I loved. I was very particular about the placement and she was really patient even though I must have asked her to replace the stencil 10 times. Everything was very clean and I felt really comfortable with the staff. I would highly recommend booking a tattoo with Krystina!

Came here for a septum piercing and there is completely another hole near the pericing Almost as if the needle slipped leaving an OPEN WOUND in my nose!! Not impressed at all as it will not stop bleeding, the lady who pierced me as well was super rough with little instruction as to what she was doing next she also kept trying to adjust my nose ring because she pierced it crooked and didn’t tell me anything at all until I went home and saw this. I wasn’t provided with any cleaning solution nor told what to clean it with other than a Q-tip. Overall horrible experience! my friend was planning to get a nose pericing and backed out after he saw the way she handled the needle and my face. NOT GENTLE AT ALL.

Went there for a scheduled piercing, waited 20 minutes because the woman tried to get a hold of a no show employee. She did it then messed it up, lost the hole and had to do it a second painful time. Just went there to buy a new barbell. The shop is full of waiting annoyed people. No one to say hello or give an idea how long the wait will be.

I would definitely recommend this shop! The lady that pierced me was very nice and professional, the shop is very clean and the prices are great. First time I went I got my septum done, it was done fast and relatively painless, also healed up great! Today I got my mid helix, lower helix and conch done. I will definitely be going back for more!

Awful, I wish I could post the picture of my tattoo. The lines are not straight parts of it are just blobs. This was not the tattoo I was shown before they started and when I mentioned the line was crooked the artist claimed I was being very peticular. Obviously I'm going to be peticular about something that will on my body for life! Stay far far away trust me. I can't speak for the other artists here, but my artist is a male originally from Muncton.

First time I went here was great . It was my first piercing, the piercer was professional and friendly The next time I went, I got my belly button pierced. They had got a new piercer since then. The new piercer was quite rude, insensitive and my piercing is incredibly crooked. On top of that, the care information he gave me went against everything any other piercer told me. Not impressed, will find myself a new piercer.

loved our experience here. I had my lip pierced a year ago and the woman was so kind and obviously cared about her customers. I then took my daughter here to get her nose pierced once the pandemic restrictions loosened. I wasn't allowed to go in with her (the room is small so totally understandable.) my 13 year old daughter said she felt super comfortable and absolutely adored the woman who did it. will definitely be going here for any future piercings.

Excellent service and even better prices! I got my septum done. I knew about this place because I got a tattoo done and I watched my sister get her piercing done. The lady was very kind and informative to all my questions. I was nervous at first because I watched so many youtube videos and talked to friends who said it was the most painful piercing they got to date... I prepared myself for what I thought was going to be the worst pain. I closed my eyes and thought she was just placing the clamp where we discussed but to my surprise she had already pierced me. Just like that! I was shocked at how effortless it was. I highly recommend dragon butterfly :)

Got some piercings in my ears here a few years ago, showed the piercer the picture of how I wanted them to line up, but I guess what I wanted didn’t matter, they just went ahead and did it their own way ???????? thanks so much, nothing I wanted more then to get painful piercings in cartilage to find out they were done wrong and couldn’t be fixed to the way I had requested before the needle went through my body. When someone asks for something a certain way either do it or tell them you don’t want to and let them go elsewhere.

The artist from Moncton is the apprentice, customers are told that he is the apprentice, they are charged less than half to have him tattoo them, they are given the choice to have an experienced artist go over his work and make corrections if necessary.
