Always wanted a daith piercing and was apprehensive about it. Spoke to Adam when I arrived and he told me it was less painful than using the guns. Kyle actually did the piercing and all I felt was a little pressure. It took 7 minutes tops for Kyle to mark my ear and do the piercing!!! It was a totally sterile process and Kyle has the best personality for this type of business. I will definitely go back.

Best place to get a piercing. I went to get my industrial bars. Staff are so friendly. Great prices. But sadly it got infected. I bought the saltwater stuff to clean it with that they sell but it just made it worse. So I took it out waited till it got better and went back to them to put it back in and they didn't tighten it as much as they did the first time so the ball fell off and now i have to buy another but its okay cause I'll still go back for more.

I was hoping for gigi but he's just as great!!He talked me through the whole process and was patient with me finding the right angle for my piercing...Out of reflex I grabbed him as I was being pierced however it was mostly nerve, I hardly felt the piercing..(He was real chilled). Had about a 45 min wait even with an appt set up a week in advance but it was worth the wait. My 8 year old son got to pick from a large variety of earrings. The woman who did the piecing was amazing with him. He asked for it (the week prior thus the appointment) but after the first ear was done he wanted to back out. This was my 2nd experience at Kolo. The first time I got my nose pierced was two years ago. I took out bar for work and the hole closed up and I went in today to get it pierced again. Gigi, I just want to say thank you! I’ve gotten my nipples pierced in the past and one ended up looking botched so I took it out, let it heal, and decided to get it re-pierced. Gigi really took her time with making sure to mark where the piercing would enter and exit just perfectly (10-15mins) and when I was satisfied with the alignment she did the peircing and it came out so straight and perfect that I’ve decided to take out my other old nip piercing (because even that one was slightly crooked) and am going back to Gigi in a few weeks to get the other re-pierced. I’m so glad she was the one to do my piercing! She’s super experienced and knows exactly what she’s doing. Very much worth it! Thanks again!

Today I had remembered when they stole my jewelry a year back while I was getting it changed. Wouldn’t recommend. Edit: AND I’m seeing that my previous bad review has been deleted somehow. So I don’t mind going into detail. Had previously bought jewelry from them for my conch piercing, which comes in 2 pieces. I came in with a flat back piece. After I was pierced I noticed there was a ball in the back. So I bring this to the obese red head white mans attention, and he basically tried to tell me I’m crazy in the rudest way you can. Went for a belly button piercing and got exactly what I wanted. The wait was long (expect ~2 hr waits on weekends, call ahead) and it was expensive but it was well worth it! This studio is beyond perfection! I needed a fairly complicated piercing done (I use the word 'complicated' lightly because for true professionals such as the ones found at Kolo such complications to not exist) however, because of the sensitive nature of the piercing I did my research and intended to go to piercer who is an APP member. The first APP member I went to was rude, the second place said they did not offer that piercing because of the "complications" and finally I arrived at Kolo Piercing (thank God). Gigi did a fantastic job with my piercing, she was kind and kept me comfortable and because of her knowledge and experience the placement of my piercing was nothing short of perfection. Do yourself a favor and go to Kolo if you want beautiful, sterile, perfectly placed piercings.

I never write reviews, but this place deserves praise! I came in with my mom to get my daith pierced on August 14th and it was the best experience I have ever had with a piercing. So quick and smooth, and they are so safe with Covid going on. My piercing is healing better than ANY of my other piercings, which have all been done other places and rejected or never healed even after many years. I definitely will drive the hour+ to come back here again many more times because it is so worth it. Not to mention they have such a large jewelry selection, it will make your head spin! Ask for Gigi!! Edit! Came back again on 12/29 for a septum piercing and it went AMAZING! Best piercing shop ever and best piercer ever. Do not ever go anywhere else, I know I won't be. I've gotten 4 piercings here (tongue - twice, nose, ear cartilage) over the last 10 years. My sister and husband have also gotten multiple piercings here. Very clean, knowledgeable crew, lots a hardware to choose from. They offer a wide range of services. A little on the pricey side, but I think it's worth it, dont want to be pierced by an amateur and they sell durable and sanitary hardware. I feel like she is very good at minimizing pain during the piercings because she's so deft... I would like to try new places in the future, but will always recommend this shop.

Secret For a reason

So I haven’t been to the physical store but I bought a pair of earrings from the online store. They were advertised as black opal gauges and I paid $100 for them. Listen, they are very pretty, but these are NOT real opal. Maybe they have a piece of thin real opal on the ends and the rest is resin, maybe they have some black opal powder in there, I don’t know. All I know is you shouldn’t be saying something is a stone if it isn’t, I have very sensitive ears and the only thing that doesn’t bother it is stone/ crystals, and these earrings kind of bother my ears (not as bad as metal and silicone but still) So I’m asking nicely, can you just be honest and specify if things are synthetic or whatever because it’s actually important for more reasons than just selling false advertised products. Also I wash my earrings and ears everyday, so it’s been very obvious that these aren’t real because the edges of the circle of the earrings were sharp (which also isn’t good) when I got them and now they arent.

Besides having overpriced jewelry, I received awful customer service at Kolo on 1/3/2017. I came in with a friend who wanted some piercings and I bought $50 worth of jewelry. After the associate, Gigi put my new purchase in my ear.. she then accused me of stealing $20 from her tip jar. Mind you, the shop had been extremely packed the entire time that I was there.The audacity of this accusation completely shocked me and I felt targeted, stereotyped! I will never give this place my business.. and to top it off I received no apology from Gigi after she made her crude accusation.

I honestly think this is the best pierce shop in Atlanta. Their prices are fair for great quality jewelry and they have so much more to choose from than any shop I've been to. And Gigi is f'ng BOMB. Like- I've had a lot of piercings in a lot of "uncomfortable" places and I've never had a piercer as quick and precise as her. She did my conch and I was not looking forward to the rumored pain, but she was so quick and assuring that I literally felt nothing-not even the "pinch". I can tell you with the utmost confidence that if you're in the south-east and you want a piercing, nobody is better than the guys at Kolo. The shop is in Little Five Points (or "L5P), which is to many people a seedy area, but don't let that discourage you; the minute you walk in, you'll feel at ease with their very personable staff and a very well organised and aesthetically appealing shop. None of this cheap, rag-tag thrown together cases and things like that. Great jewellery and very competitive prices, especially considering they are the best. They're always very quick in responding to questions and concerns a customer may have as well. Very polite and not only respectful, but respectable staff.

I've gone to Kolo twice - once for a nose stud, once for an eyebrow piercing. They're just great. The prices are reasonable. The staff are professional and super friendly, and neither of my piercings hurt. The shop is very clean and sterile. I had my eyebrow piercing done during COVID, and everyone was wearing masks. They are only allowing a limited number of people in, and you have to call when you arrive so that nobody can randomly walk in. I appreciate that they're taking the pandemic seriously, and I felt safe getting my piercing done here. Can't wait until my next piercing! I will definitely be going here again.

They have given me the run around or just forgetting about my order. I emailed for either a discount or to cancel my order. I never received a reply. Kolo with a needle, hands down. My 6 year old daughter, and later her friend who went as well, reported no pain. Area was slightly red for half an hour, and then nothing. No continued redness, nor swelling, oozing, nada, looked like they had been pierced for years. Gigi is so patient with kids, and the different emotions they are bound to experience during the process. The needle is much gentler and more precise than using a piercing gun.

After wanting my nostril pierced for a considerable amount of time, I decided to bite the bullet and have it done. I walked into Kolo and was pleasantly suprised. The shop was clean and had an various jewelry options. Unlike the other reviewers, I found the front desk associate to be informative and patient. He was kurt and professional, which could be conceived as rude by others that are not use to a no nonsense attitude. The artist that completed my piercing was thoughtful and kind and explained how to care for my new piercing. She even took the time to show me the sterilized material and explain how they steralize their material with an autoclave. I am very please with the service I recieved from Kolo and will return in 6 months to pickup some cute hoops!

Got my first non-lobe cartilage piercing (helix) and the two women working were very friendly and communicative and the woman who actually pierced my ear talked me through every step of the process before during and after. She was even considerate of the position I slept in to make sure I wouldn't be choosing the wrong ear to get pierced. I am very very satisfied in my experience and believe it was well worth the money (only 45 for the piercing and simplest 18g titanium barbell jewelry). Yesterday I went to get a daith and some more lobe piercings and had Alan. Words cannot describe how amazing he was. I went here for my birthday to get a couple piercings and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I actually had initially gone to another place for my piercings but because i had a cocktail with my dinner the night before they turned me away. I’m honestly glad they did because Kolo was a great experience. The piercer walked me through every step of the process and talked to me before the piercing about the healing expectations for my anatomy which was really appreciated. It was well worth the drive to get there. Edit: I wanted to add that I was in on a Friday evening. They gradually got busier and my wait was about an hour I think but I didn’t mind at all. They’re busy for a reason! It’s a good shop. Many people in there were repeat customers. I had my nipples done and was more than happy to wait for my jewelry to get prepped and sterilized. Keep in mind that if you’re waiting and see someone who came in after you get seen first it’s for a reason.

I have been to Kolo twice and each time Kyle pierced me. I've had both my right and left tragus done and I love how they look. Kyle is super friendly and makes you feel at ease. I wanted to come back for an industrial piercing in a few months but he took a look at my ear and recommended that I not get that piercing. He said the way my ear is shaped would likely cause issues with the way the bar sits and will pull and tug while it's attempting to heal, which would cause a ton of issues. I was disappointed as I've been wanting this piercing for a while, but he knows his stuff, so I'll take his professional recommendation and toss the idea. He said we can do some other piercings instead in a few months and that'll work for me. Most shops would have just given me the industrial anyway to make a quick buck without telling me about the issues that I would likely have because of my ear shape. It meant a lot to me that he told me rather than just saying "OK, let's do it!". Also, I'm not sure why some people say the staff is unfriendly. These are some of the nicest people EVER. The gentleman at the front desk with the shaved head is great too, even though some reviews say otherwise. I get the impression that he won't take a lot of nonsense and is pretty straight forward which I personally like. Overall this is a great place and I'll be back for more piercings in a few months!

Gigi was amazing with my 7 year old daughter. My daughter needed her ears re-pierced after a couple of fail attempts at the fly by night piercing with a gun places. I love the selection of jewelry they have compared to the standard tattoo shop that does piercings too. I have had 2 piercings done at this place so far without any problems. I drive an hour out of my way because I know they will do a good job. You can also see that they use clean/sterile equipment and care about being clean in general. They have a nice store/space. I got a rook piercing a month ago. When I first got it done I made it known I was concerned about how deep inside my ear it was compared to how I normally see rook piercings. I couldn’t even see it without a mirror and pulling on my ear to catch a view. I was told that it was in a normal placing. Now a month later I had to get it removed it started to keloid due to the placement and the bar being so short the balls were continuing pressing on my ear. It took two piercers to remove my piercing because of the angle and how deep in my ear the piercing was placed. They asked where I got it and were shook because obviously KOLO is known to be an amazing place for piercings and they said the piercer should’ve known the placement was too deep inside the ear. Unfortunately my experience wasn’t great and I’m out of money for a terrible piercing

I recently (about a month ago) paid a little over $100 to have the jewelry in 3 piercings on my ear replaced (Tragus, Rook, and Helix). They had tons of nice jewelry and were polite and helpful when I was choosing sizes, etc. I chose super simple jewelry with clear gems on the ends and the experience in the shop was great. However, my helix jewelry fell out recently - I just noticed it today. I've had this piercing for several years and have had several pieces of jewelry in it and have never had this issue. I called the shop and they can't even give me a discount on new jewelry. I understand that anyone can just say they lost jewelry but I have two other pieces from their shop, and I'm not asking for anything for free, just a discount would be nice. The whole point of this jewelry is to be permanent until you want to take it out, and even if I had had it for a year I wouldn't be too upset, but after a month? That's not a good product, definitely not worth the money. Or maybe it wasn't installed properly. I have no idea and it honestly doesn't really matter. Now I'm paranoid about the other jewelry I bought falling out as well, but I don't want to just waste it. Nice shop, nice staff, but wouldn't recommend you spend your money here unless you just want to replace your jewelry in a month.

So I spurr of the moment my decided I wanted a vertical hood piercing. I wanted it done by a female. I called and asked if they had a female available and they did. Upon arrival I was a little behind getting there at 7:20 and they closed at 8. GiGi is who I talked to. She had no problem staying a little late, which was great. She did an exceptional job. My first experience at Kolo back in December 2019 was definitely a bit bumpy. The gentleman at the counter wasn’t very nice and him and I believe the owner were discussing a bad customer review they had gotten instead of helping me and my friend which seemed odd to me. Fast forward to now May 2020 and I returned because of how kind the lady that helped me was the first time when replacing my jewelry in my fresh tragus piercing to help it heal properly (I got pierced elsewhere). I made an appointment (required during pandemic) and the same gentleman that helped me last time helped me this time but he was extremely kind, patient, and helpful. Go figure the same woman who changed my jewelry last time changed it this time and she truly cared about how I was doing with this whole pandemic. Her only job was to replace my jewelry but went the extra mile to have a REAL conversation with me. Kolo now has a forever customer. Been wanting to go here for 3 years now, but never did because I try to stay far from Atlanta area as possible. I have three conch piercings (done elsewhere) that originally had captive bead rings in them, but for some reason the beads would fall out constantly.(was told once the bead was the wrong size for the ring by the other piercer at the shop I had it done at.) I got so tired of it, I took them out and put a thread jewelry in it so the hole wouldn’t close up. Finally decided to go to kolo for jewelry replacement, and ended up getting a third helix piercing since I been wanting to come here for so long. Kyle did a wonderful job! He did the helix and placed my new conch jewelry in (got rings that were bead-less). We chatted as if we been buddies for years, and he was patient and knowledgeable. Not to mention not a creep like other piercers I’ve been to... would gladly drive in Atlanta’s crazy roads again to come here.

I went here for a nose piercing. It is my 3rd time here. This time was a bit different. My nose still hurts. Previous times, there was no pain. I bled a little also. Usually the woman does my piercing. Shes so awesome. However, a bigger guy did it. Not saying he did a bad job but it was such a big difference. We Will see in days to come. Be prepared for a while. The white guy with tons of piercings isnt all that pleasant. Hes okay but not friendly.

I felt extremely taken advantage of. I have a new cartilage piercing and I was driving through Atlanta and my piercing fell out. I was desperate to find a cartilage earring to put in so that my hole did not close up. This was the closest piercing shop. I arrived without a mask and an employee offered to sell me one for 1$. I had 2$ out (1 for me and 1 for my boyfriend). The employee saw I had 2$ out and quickly changed the price of my mask from 1$ to 2$. I was then asked what type of jewelry I was looking for and I said the cheapest thing that will keep my piercing from closing. I was told that would be 25$. I was in a hurry and needed to put something in my ear so I did not argue. He then added almost 3$ onto the price for no explanation. At my normal piercing shop it costs around 10-15$ for a pretty stud. At this shop I was charged close to 30$ for a basic stainless steal stud. The worst part of all is that when i finally arrived home and went to put in one of my normal earrings, the jewelry i paid for fell apart in my hand.I felt that I was exploited for money because it was obvious I was in desperate need for the jewelry before my piercing hole closed. In my opinion, this store was a rip off.

A horrendous experiencing. I have 12 piercings and went in to get my rook switched while my friend got her cartilage switched. Instead of using a receiving tube, they used their hands and yanked my rook and my friends cartilage for 20 minutes each. My ear and my friend’s ear are bleeding and so swollen that the earrings aren't sitting right. I would highly recommend against. Switching out a piercing should never be like that. My piercer also used her acrylic nails to scoop out dead skin around my piercing.

I scheduled an appointment for me and my boyfriend to look at nipple jewelry for myself for my birthday. When it came time to look at the jewelry the person (bald with gauges) showing the jewelry made me feel so unwelcome. The person was very short and unhelpful. Acting put out when I asked basic questions about the jewelry selection and prices. The person pretty much would ignore me and only talk to my boyfriend when I was the one who the jewelry would be for. I ended up getting so uncomfortable we left very quickly and didn’t get anything. Very disappointing first time experience there.

So far I love my piercing ????. I was able to get an opal colored stud instead of having to opt only for the regular metal stud. I've had a nose piercing before but it closed up years ago. He suggested we take the hole down a bit because I am also interested in wearing a hoop ring once it is fully healed.

I received a piercing from a different shop 2 months back, but I was dissatisfied with the stud and wanted to change it. I appreciated the professionalism and honesty from Kolo Piercing on yesterday (3/7/2019) The other shop probably would’ve changed it without informing me the dangers of not letting the piercing properly heal for 6 months before changing it into a hoop. Even though I was informed after I bought the piercing, it was no problems being refunded the money back. It was a blessing that I found this place. I’ll see you guys in 4 months!

There's a reason that everyone who has ever been here recommends these guys for piercings. They are so cool and nice (a lot of ATL piercing places are not). I got my second holes done here and they were just fantastic. I didn't feel rushed at all when it was time to go back, I was a little bit nervous, but they made totally made light of the situation and I really appreciated the distraction. They really take their time, even calling in a second set of eyes on placement to make sure it's place perfectly with your unique anatomy. Kolo is my go-to and will be doing all my piercings from now on. Seriously, you won't regret visiting these guys!

Amazing experience. Went here recently to have my navel pierced, and Gigi was my piercer. I'll give them 2 stars because I truly believe they are great piercers, however, I called ahead of time (twice) to see if the gorilla glass plugs I had would be okay to pierce with, I was told it would be fine. I got there on my appointment date, gave them the jewelry. Waited 30 mins for the person performing my piercing to return to the shop only to be told I needed to buy a $100 piece of jewelry or the piercing simply could not be done. I was very specific during my call to ask questions and I was never given this information. I think the information was legit, but it should have been told to me before I made an hour drive to their shop.

There are a lot of mediocre or outright dangerous piercing shops out there - Kolo is neither. I've had great experiences here every time I've been pierced. They're strict and detailed about their sterilization process and use quality body-safe jewelry from places like BVLA and Anatometal. I’ve been coming to Kolo for all my piercings for over a year now, and I’ve always had a great experience. They’re very ethical and clean! The store, the perusing stations, glass, etc. is always super clean. They’re very honest if you don’t have the anatomy for a piercing and won’t give you it anyways just for the money. I like how even though the rest of the state has dropped mandates for covid-19 precautions they’ve still strictly informed theirs.

Customer service is non existent in this place. I was in there for 20 minutes, no one greeted me. Two other people came in- they were greeted from the door. I waited because I thought she (blk girl) was busy, but she wasn't too busy to greet the two customers, ask them why they were there, and tell them to look around while she finishes up. Then the guy (white guy with big earrings) comes out, and he's more stoic than a statue. Idk what their problem was. After I spoke to him, I lost the vibe for that place. Ended up finding out about another piercing/tattoo shop down the block. I went to Long Island Ink instead. There, I was greeted at the door and treated like a person.
