Consider yourself lucky if you can get a tattoo done by Olivier! I consulted with 4 other tattoo artists before deciding to go with Oli. I picked Oli because I felt like I could trust him. I felt like he was very passionate about his work (not that the other artists I consulted with aren't), but Oli just took it up a notch. Oli wants to make art through his work and you can tell with how much work he puts in. During the designing period, he is very open to your ideas. He is extremely easy to talk to whether it's english or french. He never makes you feel like your inputs for the design are bad. If he feels like something doesn't belong, he will tell you why based on his knowledge. And if he feels like that the tattoo you want is not something he does, he will tell you. He wants to work on projects he knows he can give his 110%. That way, you know you'll get the best tattoo possible. Also, he makes sure that you feel comfortable. During my second session, he had moved things around in his studio, just for me, just so I could watch Netflix on his monitor instead of watching it from my phone. He always made sure I was hydrated and he keeps checking up on you to make sure you're comfortable during your session. Furthermore, the detail he puts into his tattoos are just next level. Whatever design you have, it will look better when he tattoos it. He is one of the best tattoo artist for realism in Montreal. I looked around for over 6 months at many other studios and he beats them all. I am extremely happy that I picked Oli and even happier that he wanted to tattoo my project. Lastly, his studio is beautiful. Well located and it's extremely clean. He plays good music while you're getting tattooed. Oli is a perfectionist whether it comes to tattoo, design or making sure his work area is clean and that's what you want from a tattoo artist. Oliver is one of the top tattoo artist in Montreal. I've been tracking Olivier's work since 2016 and I finally bit the bullet and traveled from Brooklyn, NY and got my left forearm tattooed by Olivier. The entire experience was spectacular - from the initial submission of the tattoo inquiry on his website all the way to the actual appointment. He's excellent with communication skills, has outstanding customer service - but more importantly he listens to your ideas and he will tell you if it'll work or won't work and will make adjustments that makes sense. His skills are remarkable and he spends time on his work. Did not felt rushed at any point. Ratings: 1 (Lowest) - 5 (Highest) Shop Location: 5; extremely easy to get to and walkable from Hotel Bonaventure Shop Cleanliness: 5; the shop was very welcoming and there was lounge area with coffee, tv and free Wi-Fi Tattoo Session Hygiene: 5; this is honestly the most important to me. Proper measures were performed including machine covers, latex gloves, skin cleaning, new needles, etc. I'm definitely looking forward to working with him again.
