Would highly recommend any of the artists in the shop but the ink will woods can put down in a short amount of time is insane. And Van's traditional style and application is on point. Awesome atmosphere in the shop never a bad time lol

True professionals! You can tell from the minute you walk into Peppermint Hippo that this establishment is a step above the rest. Bright, clean, and friendly. I had my tattoo done by Will Woods and I love it. Several friends recommended the shop to me and I'm glad they did, I will never go to one of the other shops again. There was abit of a wait to get in, but totally worth it.

I feel it's important for people to know the truth. I was going to a bunch of tattoo shops yesterday then peppermint hippo was next on the list. As i was inquiring about new tattoos, I overheard Mr.Woods saying to his buddy how in less than 24hours he got 11 of his friends that he paid, to write fake positive reviews about his shop on google reviews and how he's going to pay more of his friends to do this. Did it ever occur to you how strangely similar the 11 reviews are...They say the exact same thing just worded differently. I feel this is extremely unprofessional that Mr.Woods has to pay his friends to post fake positive reviews. If Mr.Woods was that great he wouldn't have to do that, he let his work do the talking. So clearly there is truth to those negative reviews. I told Mr.Woods that's not right what you are doing. Mr.Woods walked up to me and pushed me against the wall and threatened me. Then told me to get out of his shop. I wont be coming back here.

Carla did the most amazing memorial tattoo for Abby the cockatoo. It is one of the nicest gray scale birds I have ever seen. One of the things about Carla and Peppermint Hippo. Instead of giving you what you ask for. they let you know what is doable in the tattoo artform, and how it will look in years to come.

This place is absolutely amazing. From day one everyone in the shop treats you like family as soon as you walk in , every artist pumps out amazing work. I'm getting a tiger sleeve done by will woods which I couldn't be happier with, he's unreal with the talent he has. I am truly blown away after every session and ask my self "how does he do it", Ever since going to peppermint hippo I won't be going anywhere else the amount of compliments I've received on my tattoo is incredible can't wait to finish it up !!

I got my first tattoo at Peppermint Hippo and I was happy with the provided service. Now a few years later I tried to book another appointment because I wanted to do a small addition to my existing tattoo done by Will but I never received a reply from them. I messaged them many times on Facebook and I could actually see they received the message but they never took the time to reply. I guess I won't be going back there...

I live just north west of Toronto in Southern Ontario. I will only be tattooed here when I visit Lethbridge to see my family. I have had Will do two of mine and Chris one. This place is OCD about being clean and both gentlemen have been so friendly and professional, their work is amazing and they have made each of my three visits personable and warm. I am already planning my next visit. These guys are masters of their craft and you will not be sorry choosing them. Just make sure you ask what styles they specialize in, there was no awkwardness that Will did two and Chris one as they will be up front with you with what they specialize in.

I've been wanting a tattoo dedicated to my mom for years and waited to find the right artist. The guy that did my tattoo did it better than I could have ever expected. I'll come back for the same artist for my next tattoos. My daughter also came for a tattoo for her kids. Her experience was not a positive one. An apprentice did her tattoo and botched it really bad. She didn't even finish it was so bad. I didn't think she should have even paid for it. My daughter won't go back.

I have nothing but fantastic things to say. I had suffered a couple of really bad tattoos in the past. Did not know of the hippo until seeing a Facebook post. Met with Will and he was quit to put me at ease about his ability to cover up my bad tattoos. He has since given me 5 amazing Tattoos (hiding my two disasters in the process). Will and Ash have never been anything but exceptionally kind and accommodating to me. I love going in. Feels like I am dealing with friends not a business. Nice clean shop that sparkles. I won't go anywhere else. I trust in Will 110% to the point I just give him a basic idea and let him do the design as he sees it. I have never EVER been disappointed. I am proud to carry his art on me. Go in see for yourself and form your own opinion. I doubt it will be less than glowing. Also LOL to the person claiming Will paid anyone for any reviews. I wrote my review of my own accord. I have multiple tattoos and all have healed amazingly. If anyone would like to see healed work go ahead and check Wills portfolio then ask him to have me come down. I will gladly let you see the finished product.

I made a big mistake by going to peppermint hippo to get a tattoo. I really regret getting my tattoo done at this place, I'm not happy with it. My tattoo is extremely botched. I am ashamed to even let people see this tattoo, I now need to find a cover up artist.

Absolutely love this place! The work is uncomparable in quality! Love that there always playing some cool movie. Or hamming it up in the shop. I always have fun in shop an leave ecstatic to show off my new peice! This shop is amaizing quality for the price I love there cleaning standards. Always have a great experience. Will and Ash are friendly and have a clean environment. I used to see Carla before she moved away but because of my experiences at Peppermint Hippo I've continued to go there. Today we saw a guy named Rob filling in as a guest spot and he too delivered a great tattoo to my wife and myself.

I did not like my experience at this tattoo shop. I found the staff and the tattoo artists to be extremely rude and stand offish with me. I was not spoken to in a courtious manner. Not to mention i saw one of the artists drop there tattoo gun on the floor and pick it right back up and continue to tattoo the person. The shop seemed untidy.

I cannot recommend this tattoo parlor enough. I wanted a very specific tattoo as it was in memorial of my mother. I sent pictures of three things I wanted put together including mainly some painted work my mom had done and Crystal made the very disparate pieces flow together into one beautiful tattoo. It was exactly everything that I wanted and her use of color was extraordinary. I have several tattoos from several different places and none of them have been done quite so beautifully... On top of that the atmosphere was warm and inviting and it was a good experience all around.

I got a tattoo from this shop by the shop owner Will, i was not impressed at all by the quality of work done. The tattoo is a mess, I have crooked lines on the linework. Certain things are not in proportion with the rest of the tattoo. The shading needs to be fixed. I will not be returning to this tattoo shop.

I went in to Peppermint Hippo with an idea and Will Woods did an extraordinary job of bringing that idea to life and working with me to create a piece that was better than I had expected in the first place. The staff are friendly and the shop is clean. The only bad thing I could say is the wait to get in but you can't expect less for quality work. Absolutely worth the wait. I would recommend this shop to everyone.

Thanks.... now I have to have that on my body for ever until I can do tattoo removal or a cover up. Will was extremely ignorant and rude when I spoke to him about this matter. This is the best tattoo shop I have gone to. The shop is very clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly and fun to hang around with while getting a tattoo. My artist Will, is very talented and also comes up with some great customs pieces for me. All my tattoo are high quality and the work is amazing. I'm counting down the days until I am able to come back(I live 7 hours away).
