I went in during the flash sale and was super indecisive on the tattoos I wanted. I was assured at the time of booking that I didn’t need to have my heart set right away and could choose when I had my appt. My main concern was getting a coloured tattoo (my skin is pretty tan). Day of my appt I was greeted warmly and right away had my questions answered. I was able to get the tattoos I wanted and Lee went above and beyond!! I got tattoos on my arm, behind my ear, and my bum and I’m over the moon with what I got and feel super cute and fab. I’m stoked to have these tattooed on me forever ❤️ Overall, I had an amazing experience!! From booking over the phone to being greeted, getting stenciled, getting tatted by Lee and right until I left I felt really comfortable with everything. Will definitely come again!! And I definitely recommend others to come to this studio!! Thanks again!!

I had a fantastic experience here, I got my first ever tattoo at this studio and everyone was so patient, encouraging and compassionate with me:) From the very start they could feel my anxiety and suggested I should try Elma , a skin numbing ointment, which I did:) It worked wonders and I could not feel a thing! Kristina, my tattoo artist, has a great gentle hand and finished inking on me in less than 10 minutes. They encouraged me to breathe and played soft pink Floyd music, which helped me calm down:) It was no less than a miracle that I got my first tattoo with absolutely no pain!! I decided to do another tattoo that very day since my experience was so pleasant! On the whole, I highly recommend this place:)) The girl on the front counter had helpful tips on after care , and shared her own story with us,which made me and my neice felt very comfortable. I really, really highly recommend this place. Their charges are very reasonable too:)! Thankyou Body Mod studios ????????, keep doing the good work!

For long i wanted to have a small tattoo and my search stoped when i googled and found this studio with many good reviews so here i am getting inked. So, this studio offers many things like cosmetic tattoos/ permanent makeup , piercings, aftercare, n tattoos ofcourse. They have their in store packages like premium piercing package which includes 25% off new jewellery from the store, h2Ooceans piercing soap and piercing spray. Ask front desk for more or visit their website. They charge per hour and starts from $150 onwards. I had small Tatoos so i was done within an hr but it varies for everyone but they play good music so time flies. Their artist are knowledgeable about their jobs and take their time to prepare ur design before inking it. Second skin wrap is optional for additional $20 but its worth the cost. Heals ur tatoo faster n better.

This company lies about the quality of the jewellery that they sell, for years they've advertised lots of their jewellery to be titanium and unfortunately it is just steel with a colour coating. I've personally had three piercings done at the studio, two out of three of them were done at terrible angles with too short of jewellery (the third one was a helix piercings so I'm glad that wasn't messed up as it's one of the first piercing you learn to do as a piercer). I don't recommend going here, please do your research, if the price is low it's usually too good to be true. I highly recommend taking a look at the incredible shops that BC has to offer, especially the ones without sexual assault allegations against the owner and their lead artist.

I had a bad experience with the piercer Nikki as she tells her clients to contact her on via Instagram i had a concern about a piercing she had did which the site has a high infection rate and she turned me away and got offended I mentioned this issue with several of her colleagues which all had stated she can’t do that she made me very uncomfortable after that issue she had also pierced my cartilage where I have had constant infections it’s a four month old piercing now and she didn’t offer me any help guildance or support on that issue aswell I wouldn’t recommend going to see her she doesn’t seem very use ful plus a lot of other shops prices seem better

I’ve had a few experiences with this shop, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!! Got a tattoo by my friend Jake, we went to high school together and I trusted him to give me a wicked tattoo and he delivered!!! I also got my nose pierced and they both healed very well!! They played awesome music while I was there, and when I requested a song they played it!!! I send all of my friends to this shop because I love it so much!! My friend and I booked 3 tattoos with them in a few weeks for their flash sale!! Super excited!!

We have been to a few different places for piercings and honestly Body Mods is my favorite! The only studio we go to is the one on 84th and 162nd st. We request the same person everytime because he is amazing! When my daughter has gone for her piercings she is always anxious and he always talks to her to calm her down. If you go there request Lee is is amazing! I've also seen his tattoos and he's incredible!

Today my daughter went in to get her industrial pierced and the piercer used to short of a bar after my daughter already in pain from the piercing the lady then tried to take the piercing out and couldn’t get another one in! Kept pushing and trying until I told her K that’s enough! After a ton of blood and my 13 year old devastated ! They kept the one side of the industrial in with a small bar and then asked if she wanted a different piercing! We went for the cartilage! My daughter was getting this for her birthday and has been waiting a long time! The piercer just kept saying I didn’t no she was going to swell! I then went to the counter to pay and they charged me for both piercings which neither were the piercing we went in for! I paid and left my daughter was so upset and had blood all thru her hair! Never again!

If I could give this 0/5 I would. This shop is horrible, including management. One of the tattoo artists at BodyMods named Jamieson kept making sexual comments towards me which made me feel insanely uncomfortable (I'm 19 and he is over 40). On top of that, he claims he does "fine line" and "japanese tattoo" but it is far from that. I was getting a tattoo from him and the lines and everything about the tattoo was wonky and flawed. I did point it out to him because I was so unhappy and he kept saying that the "shading will cover it". I spoke to PROFESSIONAL artists after this and they said themselves no PROFESSIONAL artist will cover up flaws with shading or colour because there should be no flaws to begin with. He also booked me the day after my second 8 hour session, which made my skin start rejecting the ink, which should never happen with any PROFESSIONAL tattoo artist. I decided to contact the owner and tell him about how Jamieson makes me feel uncomfortable and how unprofessional the tattoo is. Right after contacting the owner, Jamieson blocks me and denies to the owner he said or did anything wrong. The owner also takes the side of Jamieson. Now I'm left with a nightmare tattoo that I need to get removed and pay twice the price of what I paid for this nightmare tattoo. Im also the type to never make a reviews ever but wanted to save the trouble for anyone else. Please for your own well being, don't get tattoo'd at BodyMods tattoo shop, surrey location.

Myself and a friend went to go get piercings, she had an appointment but since the clients before us finished early they were able to book me in same day so that was super appreciated. Kiki is kind and explains the process very well, the only thing we would’ve appreciated was being told the gauge and healing time for our piercings. They did however explain the cleaning process thoroughly and had a nice selection of products to chose for your aftercare. Place was clean, sanitary and welcoming, nice selection of jewelry too for when the piercings are healed.

I came in from Vancouver for a walk-in, hoping to take advantage of their Black Friday weekend half-off piercings deal. They were able to take me in straight away - lucky for me. The studio is slightly out of the way if you don't drive and are from another city, but having attended the elementary school nearby growing up and passed by this place countless times, it was almost like a trip down memory lane only I was walking in for once. Asides from this studio being around for many years, you'll also find that they don't use piercing guns, so it's a surefire indication they take their work and their customers' health seriously. My piercer, Nikki, has the personality of a star and a very steady hand. I felt a bit out of place being as plain of a customer as they come, but I still got what I came for, which was a re-piercing of both earlobes. They'll always mark the location of the piercing and confirm it's what you want before going in. It seems they also have a loyalty program that lets you receive one free piercing after buying five, which is probably enticing for those desiring multiple piercings. Riddling oneself full of holes is pretty cool.

This place is a Rip-off. I got my tattoo done last year in September. First I called them and sent them picture of the tattoo I wanted to get done. They quoted me under 100 bucks but after getting my tattoo done the bill jumped up to $160 bucks. Then they said to come back after 4 months and they will touch up at NO COST. I called them back after 4 months to book an appointment and the person who answered told me that the artist who did my tattoo no longer worked with them but no problem we will touch it up for you at no EXTRA COST. When I got there for my appointment one of the main artists started showing me attitude and that for him to touch it up would cost me extra. I asked them to call the person who booked my appointment and he said that he did not remember saying that they would touch it up for free. I booked with the studio and not the individual and they did not stand behind what they said. I ended up leaving. This was an emotional tattoo for me in honor of my father who passed away and they ruined what I wanted to do in his memory with their poor attitude and service.

Today i went in for a jewelry change and new piercing during their sale weekend. once I arrived I informed them that I did not have an appointment so they said it would be a small wait. I arrived at 5:45 and waited until 6:50 before finally getting up and leaving. Not a single staff member acknowledged my existence. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Awful customer service! If I could give 0 stars I would. Made an appointment for piercings with a friend. I was running 5 minutes late, so I called to let them know and was told it’s totally fine. When we arrived we began filling out the forms, but then was told they need to cancel our appointment because Nikki (the piercer) had to leave to take out her dog. what is point of making an appointment? I understand we were 5 minutes late, but maybe instead of saying that’s fine, let me know to reschedule when I called. I showed up really anxiety ridden about getting my piercings done. I had to bring my baby because I'm a single mother. They made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is super welcoming and the person at the front desk is just super outgoing and so was Chantel. I got three piercings and they went really really well. They even watched my daughter out in the main lobby and she was pushing the stroller while being on the phone. They went above and beyond and I'm super happy with my experience. I had a small tattoo done here a year ago by their lead artist, who usually does great work but didn't seem engaged that day, which showed in the final product. Fortunately he agreed to touch it up a few weeks later, which improved it but a portion was so off that it was not fixable... He also neglected to explain how to remove the second skin bandage, which I later found out is supposed to be done in water to prevent peeling off your skin. I don't doubt his talent (I wouldn't have chosen him otherwise), but I desperately wish he had said no if he couldn't give enough effort that day. EDIT: After reading raving reviews, I returned for my first ear piercing with Nikki. She was patient, kind and explained everything very well. She was absolute pleasure. I will absolutely be booking all my future piercings with her exclusively!

Body Mods has really wonderful staff that are knowledeable in their professions. I came in for the first time and had my microdermal checked without an appointment. I felt confident about getting it removed by Lee as he seems very professional and the studio is extremely clean. I got a tattoo done by Calahan last month, he is great - knowledgeable, good sense of humor, kind, honest, light hand, and you feel comfortable - I will definitely be back. This is my second time coming to an artist at body mods and both experiences have been great. About 2 years ago I had Lee tattoo me, He is really great too - knowledgeable and has done some amazing work (including sound wave tattoos). Body mods often has promos and good deals if you follow them on social media. Customer service from the tattoo artists is great and support staff at the shop are acceptable. There is a fee if you choose the second skin wrap (which is better and you probably should get it) .

Had an appointment booked with Lee (first weekend was postponed to the following weekend) Got a call 1.5 hours before my tattoo appointment to find out that Lee wasn't showing up for work. I emailed him all my info on February 24th as I live in Alberta. Seeming how I was heading back to Alberta I couldn't switch my dates. Lawrence went to work early to try and cover Lee's mess up and to my surprise Lee never even bothered to draw up anything I was coming in to get done!! Very unprofessional. Cancelled the day of my appointment most likely because he was too lazy to draw anything up when he was suppose to. Was my first and last time using this studio. Lawrence was able to fit me in Easter Sunday (day prior to me leaving) and get everything done!. Thank you! However the ladies at the front offered a 15% discount which wasn't honoured. Lee also stated he would touch up an older tattoo for no charge which also wasn't honoured. however Lee ruined my experience with this tattoo parlor for sure! Wrote a review on Facebook and to cover themselves they have either deleted it or made it private. The owner of this shop doesn't even bother to try and contact you, they clearly just don't care. Have many tattoos and have never seen a shop run so poorly.

Piercer was very professional (Lee ozeki) made sure and double sure he could do my piercing (venoms) safely and properly before proceeding, and he did a GREAT job, he even stayed late just for my appointment. That being said there were a few issues regarding my appointment had to reschedule first time cause there was not a "qualified" piercer available (3 hours prior to apt) and second time I had to come in 2 hours earlier then my scheduled appointment. I would like to suggest that when you select the service you want when booking online that only the qualified personnel for that service should appear for selection. And if a cancelation must be made that you should notify the customer the day before instead of a few hours prior when possible.

The studio itself was super clean when walking in and I was greeted almost immediately! It was my first time going here and I can definitely say I’ll be back in no time. Joey was my piercer and she was incredibly informative, clean and experienced, she changed her gloves 3 times during my navel piercing and kept the atmosphere super lighthearted and fun. Called to see if they pierce babies ears. Spoke to the piercer Lee, who informed me he doesn’t like to, but he will. Gave me the spiel on the concerns, etc. I felt confident having Lee pierce my baby’s ears because of his expressed concerns, the positive ratings he had, and that they use a needle, not a gun. When we got to the appointment, I was THEN informed that if Lee was set up and the baby moved when trying to put on the clamps or pierce, he wouldn’t do it. I was not allowed to hold my baby’s head to keep her from moving. I would then forfeit the money for the piercing and he would not pierce her ears. I know my baby and that was not going to happen. I realize it’s the artist’s choice, and it appears the piercer’s choice here is to not do it. So good luck getting your baby’s ears pierced here, since it’s not “their choice.”

I honestly would rate this studio a solid 0/10 ever since Kristina has left. The studio was welcoming, connecting and amazing while she was there but ever since she's gone it's been horrible and I along with my sister had received the worst service ever. It's so sad and pathetic how the workers there had lied straight to my face when I had asked for my favourite tattoo artist Kristina, I was told she wasn't in when clearly she had quit a month ago. It's pathetic how they tried to convince me to be tattooed by another artist there and started to tell me personal stories about Kristina that had nothing to do with anyone whic made me so uncomfortable. It was already sad enough that they were lying to the customers about her quitting to keep them but they passed the limit by talking horrible things about another famous artist. I don't know how many people have been lied to but Kristina has officially left and I finally got a hold of her since Body Mods refused to give her contact info. I think that's so unprofessional of them to be going around talking things about a ex co worker who was the ONLY amazing artist there. The place is a straight up joke now if nothing else, all customers are wondering where Kristina is and I don't think Body Mods employees have any right to talk about another persons personal life. Doesn't feel like a connecting place anymore it just seems like a bunch of liars gathered together who won't even give you a little bit of importance as a customer. If anyone wants to get a hold of Kristina McManus who was the only artist there that actually had the best work and stayed over time a billion times for her clients then feel free to find her on facebook! She's amazing and won't give you any chance to complain but PLEASE don't fall for it when you ask for her in body mods and they say "she's not in" she never will go back to a place that treats people so badly.
