Grace was absolutely amazing!!!! Grace used the nanobrow technique. She was so patient with me. It took me a really long time to decide what I wanted. She was so knowledgeable too. Any time I could not make a decision on something, she'd be able to tell me all the pros and cons of what I was thinking about. She is kind, friendly and so genuine. For my second touch up, she remembered so many things that we had talked about weeks ago. It is clear that Grace is passionate about what she does and she does such a marvelous job! I got my brows done by Grace 8 months ago - I'm still in love with them and get lots of compliments from strangers! People are surprised when I tell them they're tattoo'ed on because they look so natural. I got the nano hybrid and Grace took the extra time to make sure I liked the way it looked, and took feedback really well. As a result, they look just like how I used to fill in my brows with makeup. I'm a pretty low-maintenance girl so the fact that I don't have to think about doing my brows anymore means I've been going out without makeup often and still feel put together. The space at Studio Sashiko is clean, modern, and comfortable, with a cute little retail section of local goods. I'd highly recommend Grace and trying out the Nano technique if you're looking for a natural or powder look.

Grace was my brow artist. My first time getting ombre/powder brows & it did not hurt at all! Even with the darker powdre/ombre "make-up" look, I get many compliments from strangers saying they look natural! Grace took the extra time to make sure I liked the way it looked. Studio Sashiko is super clean and comfortable. Highly recommend Grace. She's booked up for weeks, but the wait is worth it.

I just wrote a huge review and accidently deleted it. So this will likely be shorter. I went to Sara and I could not be happier with the outcome. From the second she introduced herself I felt like I was in good hands. I'm thrilled with the time and attention to detail I received. My brows have always been uneven and had gaps from my over- tweezing teenage years. Sara managed to even them out and fill all the gaps. She mixed two colors together to get the perfect shade for me. I liked that it was done freehand as it seems like that's better to fit each individual... No one wants an eyebrow to look stenciled on... At least I don't. She drew the brows on first so we could get an idea of what she was doing. She retweaked them until we were both happy with the outcome. I had plenty of opportunity to back out and plenty of time to voice my opinion. She made sure I was comfortable and pleased the entire time. I honestly do not understand any of the negative reviews that have been given. Everyone there was friendly, it is an open atmosphere but it doesn't take away from the one on one with the artist. I didn't feel out of place in the slightest. I followed the aftercare instructions perfectly and my brows have turned out exactly as they say they will. I went to my initial appointment at the end of October 2018 and had my touch up the end of December 2018. Three weeks later and I'm still in love with them. I feel more confident and I don't need to fill in my brows every morning just to feel like I look ok. I was nervous going in because it's a big step to trust someone to do something even semi permanent on a place that will be immediately noticed by everyone, but I'm sure happy I took that leap of faith. I have excitedly recommended this to so many people already. My mother has also gone to get her brows done at studio sashiko and has said the same things I have. I know multiple people that say the same. The before and after pics are done after touch ups and healing as well. Their work really is amazing. I feel like any negative reviews would be from people that maybe just didn't follow the aftercare properly, or maybe ignored the recommendation of the touch up 8 weeks later. I rarely review things but felt it was a good idea just to let people know that they rightfully take pride in their work and do everything they can to make sure people leave happy and in love with their brows. I sure did. Thank you Sara for the care and attention, I couldn't be happier.

I don’t usually write reviews but feel like I should. Had my brows done years ago with the owner Shaughnessy for a total of 5 sessions (1 initial appointment, 1 free touch up, 3 paid touch ups). I had red, grey and blue discolouration due to inconsistent pressure and different pigments used. I had another artist to do a correction on me and they look much better now. Please do you research before investing $1000+ into your brows here.

My horror story (don't worry there's a happy ending) started when I over tweezed my brows in 2006... like it was so bad I've tried to convince my family to burn all photos of me from that year. Anyways... thankfully Shaughnessy and her team brought my sad dinky brows back to life when after 10 years I didn't think there was hope and that I'd be stuck spending a s&#* ton of money on brow products for the rest of my life trying to fill in my patchy tadpoles. I know microblading can be an investment but MY GOD IT'S WORTH IT. I actually feel confident without make-up now and I can't thank this talented team of brow wizards enough. Also they have a really rad retail section that you should probably check out!

Had my brows done by Tanya a couple years back and it was an overall disappointing experience. She left on the numbing cream for more than 45 minutes before starting the microblading process so by the time she was mid-way through, the numbing effect pretty much completely wore off. She free-handed things and my brows were noticeably mismatched. I don't think either would have been a deal-breaker but I felt like Tanya had no passion for her work and the process was a mere transaction. Also worth noting that after 2 years of fading, the ink left behind a reddish tint. Honestly would not recommend this place (at least not Tanya) given the high cost and subpar service/work.

We absolutely love studio sashiko! The owners Shaughnessy & Kyle are wonderful people! The studio is clean, beautiful & has lots of natural light. Every artist is amazing. I was lucky to get my eyebrows done by Shaughnessy & I couldn’t be any happier! She made my eyebrows look full & super natural. No one believes me that my eyebrows are tattooed - that’s how good they are! It’s totally worth the wait to get it with the girls! Studio Sahiko is one of the BEST and my experience was just that. I was treated with such care and due attention by artist Sara. She took her time to ensure my brows were exactly what I was hoping for. I had severe patching and uneven shape that were instantly corrected. The numbing cream used worked well, but do expect some stinging which is just part of the process, but Sara clearly explained every step and what to expect perfectly. I felt so at ease. Anyone who has done their research about micoblading should know that it takes a couple sessions and maybe minor touch ups (at very reasonable prices here) for the brows to be exactly what you and the artist envisions. Patience is key, but also taking great care in the healing process. They provided wonderful care instructions and product. I was especially careful with my own products and make-up afterwards because yes, it is an expensive investment to not take care of in the healing process (just like tattoos). I highly recommend Studio Sahiko and brows by Sara to anyone and I have to my friends who also spent the 90's over plucking ;)

Lack of attention to detail and client interest. Not worth the value for my personal experience and I do not recommend.

Loved the entire experience from start to finish at Studio Sashiko. The studio is very welcoming and clean and the staff are so nice! I had my brows done by Shaughnessy and she was very thorough and takes the time to make sure you’re comfortable and happy with your pre-draw before starting. For someone with oily skin, Grace is Godsent. I've had microblading done previously at studio sashiko and the work was absolutely stunning but unfortunately my skin faded the strokes due to oil production so when I found out about Grace and her nanoblading technique, I had to try it out. When I researched nanoblading one of the first key points that stood out was that it was oily skin friendly. I've had my brows from Grace for more than 6 months now and I love them. I'm so happy with the shape and honestly I'm still fangirling everytime I see them. My sessions were painless and comfortable, with lots of great conversation!

I can't say enough good things about Studio Sashiko. I've been to Sara Browns twice for microblading—the first initial appointment and the secondary appointment for touching up. This was a coverup of a 5+ year old tattoo done by another artist. I was a little nervous about how it was going to turn out when sending pictures prior to my appointment, but wow, she did a fantastic job colour matching and setting me at ease during my appointment. Sara is very skilled at her art, as well as being extremely personable. She answered all of my questions and made me feel very relaxed while on her table. I have strawberry blonde hair and she explained to me that she was going to warm up the tone of my brows because the older tattoo was cool toned. I have an incredible result and received a lot of compliments from my friends and family at how realistic they looked. If you're thinking about getting microblading, I cannot recommend Sara Browns and Studio Sashiko enough. Be aware that it is somewhat pricey, but trust me, spending more on something that is meant to go on your face is worth it.

Love this place! I've been seeing Nicole for my eyebrows even before she came to Sashiko and they've CHANGED MY LIFE. She is truly an artist! Whenever I get facials they always compliment how natural looking my brows are. Even when I couldn't book in with Nicole one time and (mistakenly) got a retouch elsewhere (not Sashiko) they botched my eyebrows so badly I was in tears. Nicole was so nice about it, helping me and giving me tips to make sure they don't retain, and managed to fix them for me perfectly (and at lower price too!) after the 6 weeks. Highly recommend Nicole as an artist and the studio. Worth the drive out to Langley and everyone and everything is very professional / clean.

(Photo upload doesnt work right now )I am unhappy with the result and regret paying so much money for Jette Scherzer ´s work. I paid 500 Euros without a touchup ( Touch up 150 Euro extra) I wasnt expecting that the strokes can fade after three weeks.The overall shape was gone after three months and I didnt want to correct them with a brow pencil for at least a year , but I had to. After 10 months the strokes turned redish (photo) and it looks horrible. I took care of my brows as I was told , I didnt work out, put make up on, tan or anything else. The pictures on the studio´s website are right after the treatment and not after they are healed or after a few months or a year .The prices are way to high for something that doenst last that long. It didnt make sense to pay extra money for a touch up because it would have never lasted 1 1/2 - 2 years ( as I was told).

I love my brows! I got mine done by Grace and I am so happy with my choice. I have never gotten my brows done prior to my appointment but I did my research and I saw all her before and after pictures on Instagram and meeting her in person proved how professional she was. Tanya is not just a microblading technician but also a talented and highly skilled artist. She has helped me achieve the brows of my dreams and her work is hyper-realistic and incredible. She's basically the fairy godmother of brows As I'm new to microblading, the learning curve was steep for me (as in, it took me a while to figure out how a healed tattoo differs from a fresh tattoo + how you have to ride out a 14-day healing process before the final results truly show). I freaked out a lot but over two sessions, Tanya has been there to answer all my questions, reassure me, and figure out what I wanted even though I wasnt quite sure myself. My advice: even if this studio is out of your way (2 hour commute for me), it is worth it. Book with Tanya and thank me later :)

It is so unfortunate when you put your trust on someone to help you improve your image, to only realize there is no care on the deliverance or quality of the service provided. From poor attitude of the “artist” (Nicole Johnston), poor quality of work, lack of acknowledgement of concerns, dissatisfaction, and worst of all not willing to make it right. Definitely overpriced and once they collect you money, don’t bother to expect anything from them, they will be too busy for you !

My brows looked great after my initial appointment and touch up (although we had to go back to correct them so many times because I kept on pointing out spots that needed fixing). Less than a year later - all the strokes have faded and left behind this red tone that looks awful. I went to have them looked at and apparently it might be scar tissue. There are also dips in my eyebrows where they went too deep with the microblade. No bueno.

After three total sessions with Nicole over the course of six months, I have spent over $1000 for my eyebrows to be blotchy, patchy, and uneven. For them to be presentable, I need to fill them in and shape them daily with makeup. A few weeks after my third session and six weeks of healing, I e-mailed Studio Sashiko only to have Danielle (the “manager”) silence me about my experience and tell me not only that Studio Sashiko artists do not map eyebrows (unlike most reputable salons) to make sure that they’re symmetrical, but also that Nicole chose to freehand tattoo my eyebrows and their shape, insisting that my eyebrows being uneven is a direct result of my face being uneven. I assumed “you get what you pay for” and that paying a premium for Nicole’s work would be worth it, but I am back to square one and I am out $1000. In my e-mails to Danielle, I requested a partial refund as the Sashiko premium is over $300 more than what senior artists charge at other salons, but was turned down. Unfortunately, the outcome for me didn’t quite mirror what their Instagram advertises, and my experience with their customer service was even worse. Although they offered me a fourth session (complementary) and the option to change artists, I am not comfortable returning to the studio after being treated the way I was, and I no longer see the point of tattooing my eyebrows until they fade in a few years. At this point, my eyebrows have been worked on so many times they’ve lost the “natural” appeal of microblading (they do not look like natural hair-like strokes; they are just patchy). I am disappointed as my results look worse than what I started with, despite having made my concerns known from the first appointment, and I wish I had never pursued microblading at all. I will not be recommending Studio Sashiko to anyone I know. Note: I am posting this review under a different name to remain anonymous, but Studio Sashiko is aware of who I am within their client database. These are the same photos of my results that I have provided to them in our communications. I have also attached a photo of the shape/overall appearance I desired (and brought to my appointment) to have as a comparison (credits to wakeupwithoutmakeup on Instagram). There are also many more details to the story (e.g. a mention of "modified aftercare" after the third appointment that didn't exist), but in light of brevity, I have chosen to keep my review short. In summary, as I communicated to management in my final e-mail (of which there were only 4 in total): - Studio Sashiko artists do not map out eyebrow shape prior to tattooing - Nicole thought my face is uneven, which is why my eyebrows are also now uneven - Eyebrows being uneven is always a result of the client's facial structure and is never the fault of the artist - The artist has the executive decision regarding the eyebrow shape(s) that will be carried out on the client, regardless of preference in shape/appearance According to management, my eyebrows have been completed to a standard that is acceptable and are a good representation of Studio Sashiko's work.

Gonna start with saying, the service has always been great there. The team is super nice and helpful. Unfortunately there is a but. I got my brows done twice there, 2 years appart. The first time was great, really loved them. Second time was summer 2021, 2 years after my first appointment, i went back to the same artist. This time we didn’t mapped my brows, she said she was following my old shape, which i thought was ok since i liked how they we’re already. So she shows me how she drew it, on the spot it looked fine so she went ahead and did her thing. Again, showed me when it was done, still looks ok. I really didn’t notice until i got home and looked at myself that they we’re uneven. My right side, like the tail of my brow is bigger than the left side. Which is to me the biggest problem. There’s also kind of a different style on both eyebrows. It’s very hard to explain, but went i brought this to her attention she did offer to fix it for free. But to me, to fix it would be to make my right eyebrow smaller. Which is nothing she can do about it. It’s really subtle mistakes but when it’s on your face it’s very annoying. Now it’s been a few months, fully healed. I spend a lot of time drawing and covering my eyebrows. I really wish i could go back to before this second apt, as i really liked having my brows microbladed. This is not to bash the salon, as i had one great experience there. I just want to let the people that are looking into microblade know, that mistakes can happen and even though it says semi permanent, it’s pretty permanent. Maybe ask to be mapped or take a GOOD look before the ink goes in.

She was very professional, knowledgeable, and the process was painless. I now have beautiful eyebrows and feel much more confident with my appearance! I had nanoblading done with Grace and I recommend her highly. Her experience and technique meant that I was comfortable throughout both appointments (initial and touchup) and she was great with listening to what I was looking for, as well as providing her much needed input. Nanoblading with Grace was close to painless, vs when I had microblading done a few years ago. Microblading is way more painful! My brows turned out amazing and the strokes very very crisp. If you follow her aftercare instructions carefully, you'll have amazing results too. I can't recommend her enough!

cash grab for sure. the girl i got would of tattooed rainbows on my face if i asked her to. The thing is they don't care what your facial structure is, what actually looks good on your face based of of bone structure, size, etc etc. They are the pro's and are supposed to take all things into consideration giving the customer their honest professional opinion. If a customer wants a certain look that doesn't mean its necessary the best option for their face..this place all hyped up to more than it is.

Grace was amazing! I was very reserved about getting my brows done because I had a bad experience in the past at another location. However, Grace was great. She took a lot of time to listen and explain what the outcome would be like and my only regret is that I didn't go to her sooner. I had my brow done with Nichole. I had mention to her mannnyyyy timessss what i want but she kept talk me out of it . I even showed a photo of the brow that I want through my phone but she didn't seem care, my eyebrow was finished as what she liked but it was not what I wanted. I paid $700 plus 100 tips. I have never come back for touch up cuz I dont want to spent another 200 since I was already unhappy. I am currently a nails technician and I always care for what client looking for. I've been following Studio Shasiko for years on Instagram and finally booked an appointment with Grace for nano brows in April. She was so awesome I cannot recommend her enough. She really listened to what I wanted, and took her time to draw in the brows so I could adjust them if I wanted before she started tattooing them in. She knows her stuff and steered me away from going too dark with colour as she explained how the ink adjusts to skin over time. The process was so comfortable that I even fell asleep during it! My finished results are amazing, I don't have to draw in my brows at all, they are just perfect. The only con is how far it is from Vancouver DT! Open a studio in Vancouver guys!!!;)

I have gotten microblading done on my eyebrows twice now by Shaughnessy. She is such a sweet heart. She really listened carefully to what I wanted. She has amazing attention to detail. Takes great care explaining the process, checking in for your desired look and comfort as she goes and makes you feel at ease the whole time. She doesn’t make you feel petty for being particular. It didn’t hurt with her careful use of the numbing cream. The whole place feels very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend the studio!

I had my eyebrows microbladed by Shaughnessy a couple years ago and I had little to no color stay after my very first time, even after the touch up still little to no color stay. I had emailed her expressing my concerns and it took months to get a reply and her receptionist told me its another $200 for another touch up, after talking to Shaughnessy herself I finally got another touch up for free and still no color stay. Shaughnessy now tells her clients no makeup what-so ever on your healing brows, I have emails from Shaughnessy herself of me asking if I'm able to put eyeshadows on while they're flaking as they look weird and she said yes as long as it has no glitter in it and is more matter. Would not recommend going to Shaughnessy for the price she charges and the outcome of her work.

Anyone who needs their brows done knows Studio Sashiko is the place to be. If only they had a place in Vancouver! Grace is a pro at nano brows, patient and immaculate in her technique. I'm the kind of person who will notice even a millimeter difference. When I had questions Grace was always patient to explain, redraw, and tailor things to exactly what I wanted. I was very nervous before getting this procedure done, but researched and decided to go with this company. From the moment I walked in, I felt out of place. Everything is in the open, so the procedure is not private at all. No measurements were taken which should have been a red flag, but I continued. I wanted to go with the lightest colour, being blonde, but the girl wanted to go a shade darker. It was a bit painful, but we kept going. At the end one brow was definitely wider then the other, so she went over the other one again to make them even. So that one got more pigment. They were blurry with colour, no strokes showing at all. I looked like a freak with my blonde, fare features and these psycho brows. I hated them immediately. Then for the next few weeks I wore a hat because the whole experience was so traumatic. I didn't go back to get them redone like you're supposed to. What a waste of $$$! Never again! And now 18 months later, the one brow has faded significantly and the other one which she went over twice is still dark! They look horrible. Please think twice, three times and more before getting this done. I now use Retin A on it every night to keep shedding the skin. It's ridiculous. So disappointed!!!

Booked in here for brow microblading because of the positive reviews. Mistake. They do not use measuring tools of any kind. They freehand it. One of my brows came out very round and they other one was straight and sharply angled. I was very unhappy. Luckily they faded after less than two months and I was able to have them re-done at another place where they are very serious about getting brows perfect and they use proper measuring tape and tools to achieve the ideal and perfect shape for each individual.

Sara BROWns is talented and I know good brows! I cannot express just how much I love my brows and I wouldn’t trust any other studio with working on them. To work in this studio you have to be extremely talented because they are renowned for their work and have a strong brand to protect. I strongly feel that any negative reviews are likely due to those that have not followed the aftercare properly. So make sure you follow the instructions a tee! Sara Browns was the artist who did my eyebrow microblading and I am extremely happy with the result thus far at 2 days post treatment. Sara was recommended by a friend whose eyebrows I admired. Sara was open to listening to my opinions about shape but also guided me as to what would suit my face and the effect of facial expressions on the shape. Sara took a lot of time working with me on the shape 'template' before starting treatment. My eyebrows are actually better than I could've imagined! It was painless throughout and is comfortable afterwards. Sara was friendly, professional, and respectful, as were all members of the Sashiko team I interacted with. Aftercare clearly explained and instructions emailed in follow-up contact. For me, I find the cost a bit high, especially the $200 for the touch up 8 weeks later, taking the total to $800 plus tax. My fault I had not looked into pricing more closely but, truthfully, I did not want to risk going to someone else unknown to me for a cheaper price...I might be feeling different about my eyebrows now if I did? Definitely recommend Sara to anyone considering eyebrow microblading.

I can admit that I was hesitant getting Nano Brows but Grace is an absolute master at her craft. I went in for my first session in the summer and my second in December to see if she could cover an large scar along my brow that no longer grew hair. I was tired of spending over 15 minutes every morning filling in my brows to cover the scar and match their shapes. Grace is meticulous, taking the time to measure, draw and shape your brows to best suit your facial features and desired look. Not only that, she is knowledgeable, patient and kind - she makes you feel 100% comfortable during the process. For those hesitant to start, take a look at the work done by the wonderful team at Studio Sashiko. Find an artist whose work you like and ask questions. And a word of advice - manage your expectations. Everybody's skin types and eyebrow shapes are different - so healing time and final product will differ - but the team is dedicated to working with you to create your best brows.

[Reposted review from correct email, apologies to those who see this twice!] I saw Grace at Studio Sashiko, looking to solve a lifelong insecurity about a bald patch on my right eyebrow...I was spending a lot of time (and money!) on applying various gels and pencils to fill my brows in. I am someone who doesn't like to wear makeup every day (minimalist), but I would always cover my brows because they looked so scraggly. Enter Studio Sashiko! I went with a nano brow (machine tattoo), and Grace recommended a nano hybrid technique (individual hairs blending into a more powder brow at the tails)—She spent a lot of time answering my questions and drawing the design, ensuring I was comfortable and confident with where we were going. Even seeing the penciled in design, I was SO EXCITED. FINALLY my eyebrows were even, looked naturally "fluffy" and balanced. The procedure itself was literally painless. I could only feel mild pressure. The outcome was stunning, and the healing was super easy (virtually no flaking, zero pain etc). I went for the recommended follow up session 12 weeks later as well, and after 2 sessions I couldn't be happier, and I have so much more confidence living my minimal makeup lifestyle! The studio is clean, welcoming and incredibly professional—There is a reason people come from all over to go here! Grace is the absolute best :).

This is hands down THE best place. Yes it is on the pricy side but the mircroblading here is actually legit & if you follow the aftercare instructions, you will not be disappointed!! They have the best staff & Shaughnessey is wonderful and attentive to what you are looking for. Don’t waste your money on other places that are just a “quick pop” up with minimal training.
