I recently had a tattoo done by Laura. This was my first tattoo, and Laura did a super job (yaay for artists!). Laura gave me exactly what I was looking for in body art. She also had Leonard Cohen music playing, who is one of my favorites, so everything about my time with her working on my tattoo was a really cool, laid back experience. My tattoo is almost 2 weeks in now; there was very little redness, absolutely no infection or burning, and it looks great. I've gotten lots of compliments on it. Thank you Laura - I will be back for another!

This woman must have some ego to tell me that her clients dont mind if they book a cover up appt. and dont get to see or choose their design. I asked her to send me her design ideas, paid her and $100 deposit and waited waited but nothing ever showed up so I cancelled. Thanks for wasting my time. Lose the Ego!!

i had 2 tattoos done by Laura after a year of meticulous searching and viewing of portfolios before I decided on who I would like to get inked by. I finally went for it and went in for a consultation and I had an idea of what I wanted for a custom piece. We collaborated for quite a while and totally meshed . I left the studio quite excited about the upcoming session. So first session was getting the smaller one done first (b&w imprint of son’s ear with lettering). After that, it was getting the outline done for the larger piece on upper arm. Laura took the time and made sure everything was positioned just right and as well as prepping her work area . Yep, i love clean and organized workspaces myself so that was a plus. During the 6 hours I was there, we discussed many things, shared ideas and our personalities completely clicked. I was comfortable during the session and the conversations kept the pain minimal and it was more like a bad sunburn to me. Done with the first session, got to look at my new pieces and was just giddy with joy at how beautiful it looked! Loved loved loved the work of art on my arm and chest and the arm piece wasn’t coloured in yet as that would be another session. Took 2 more sessions (with healing time in between) to get colouring and fine line work done but i am soooo happy and completely love the work. I’ve gotten many compliments - even from strangers. I also came in from out of town (4hr drive way) and well worth it! Laura is great to work with - lots of input and creativity- i felt completely at ease and can’t say how professional she is from start to finish. Best of all is the love and enthusiasm she has for her art! I can’t wait to get another piece done!

A few year ago, I went thru a period of deep grief. I went to Laura to get a tattoo and she guided me thru the process of picking the perfect memorial tattoos. She asked all the right questions, was patient going thru options and educated me on what looks the best years later. I LOVE my tattoos. This woman knows her stuff (extremely well done fine detail) and her energy and spirit is amazing. I will only have her do my tattoos in the future.

I followed Laura for about a year on fb before I decided she's the one to do my art.I love her line work,noticed the details,her drawings,creative artsy projects, the cover ups she did looked amazing...She also took time to map out my arm before drawing out the tattoo so it would fit my arm specifically... I met with her for my consult,shared my ideas,she gave me some of hers,and I said to her before I left "I want you to have the creativity to do what you want with my ideas"...and boy did she deliver! I was nervous as anyone should be but when I saw what she came up with I was excited, she merged my ideas with hers and now I wear a piece of art that I ALWAYS get compliments on! I am soon going for my other piece and can't wait! I know our ideas will merge together and be another great conversation piece! On a side not, my partner was gonna go elsewhere for his tattoo but started checking out Laura's work and very impressed with her line work and attention to detail! And he got a samurai with a dragon, and just had a tiger added on this week, completely opposite of mine with sugarskulls,jewels,flowers and bees...it just goes to show how versatile and talented as an artist Laura is. Laura is super laid back and easy to talk to, making you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. She was very accommodating to our specific needs/wants and has wonderful attention to detail. Lose the EGO...avoid her like the plague..if you want a simple tattoo then her skill set will suit you fine..but if you are looking for a larger piece or a more intricate design or cover up beware. I had 2 small tattoos done by her and was satisfied with them so I had a consult about designing a 1/2 sleeve to cover up an existing small armband. She quoted me between 12 -15 hours @ 175/hr...after several sessions over several months we still were not done at 13.5 hrs. She understood that I had a budget and assured me it would come in on budget. After exceeding the quote she then said that she would need an few more sessions to complete it...costing approx 1,000. I was not happy and asked her what we could do..she offered nothing. Now she refuses to finish the tattoo saying I threatened her etc..when in fact I said I could not in good conscious recommend her to anyone who commented on my tattoo. She is not impeccable with her word and her work is just average. I have since consulted with a few long standing artists in the area who said for what I paid they would have done it in 1/2 the time or a whole sleeve for the price..thanks for your professionalism Laura......BUYER BEWARE...just to respond to to Laura's so called "TRUTH"...I could only sit for short hours (2-3) each session because of her tight time restrictions..she is only open mon-fri 9-2, it had nothing to do with me. She states she completed the piece within the estimate...it was and still is not complete. As for threats, never happened,if she takes me saying I could not recommend her as a threat then that is on her and speaks of her lack of honour and lack of understanding of the professional relationship that occurs after hours of tattooing with someone...sad indeed. Now she refuses to return my deposit to me..saying "deposits are not refundable" had I cancelled on her I could understand but she cancelled and keeps my money? this is the kind of person you are dealing with people

I went to Laura after watching her facebook page for a year hoping to win her monthly contest. She was always posting really nice work in different styles. I was looking for someone who could do a large sleeve that incorporated a few different styles. She helped me get my ideas together and turned it into a really cool concept.
