Been going to see Alex @ AJR Tattoo since 2009 for all my tattoos. Always professional, courteous, clean and friendly. He is always evolving for the better as an artist and his growth as a local business person is inspiring. I recommend AJR Tattoo to anyone that asks about tattoos and the constant compliments on my work are thanks to him. Thanks guys!

Booked an appointment in March and never ended up getting it after 3 cancelled appointments. Thanks to a very unorganized apprentice and a tattoo shop owner that never offered an apology or acknowledgement of his client in a database even though he was present at the initial appointment.. very alarming and definitely did not get treated well let alone "valued" as clients...in fact I didn't even exist in there database.. EDIT: 3 years later they replied me, with a long paragraph with false statements. First of all, both me and Ella left the Google reviews after Kristoff's explanation via IG DMs (after he got fired) on cancelling. So we were going to post a review regardless, even if we got back the deposit WE PAID & should RIGHTFULLY GET BACK. Why are you guys acting like it was a favor to pay us back "out of pocket"? As you rightfully should be paying customers you screwed over back, apprentice or not! Furthermore, Kristoff himself notified e transfer came from him as shown in my screenshot, not Alex the shop owner?? Am I supposed to thank you guys for getting my own money back for no service provided. You can see numerous other 1 star reviews I've left on my account for other businesses, which is the purpose of Google reviews? Still can't believe I got a response years later blaming the customer for critiquing ya'll lol.

We went in beginning of March to give the sketch idea. We booked our appointment for April 9 2017. Tatoo sketch session was supposed to be end of March. 1. Tattoo sketch session got CANCELLED without notification until we asked. 2. April 9th tattoo date got CANCELLED without notification until we asked. 3. So now, its May next week. We confirmed with the artist 2 TIMES that the 30th this Sunday we are getting tattooed. He tells us last minute today- we asked first: that he got fired and could not uphold the appointment yet again. We shifted around 3 WEEKENDS of our time to accommodate him. How can a tattoo studio like this run by treating their clients like this? I feel so powerless and upset about this whole situation. Please do not go to this studio if unless you wanted to get treated like second class citizens. We personally feel like we were taken advantage of for being nice and "submissive" asian girls, just brushed aside? Very unprofessional, no apology given, and our appointments were NEVER even in the client database. What a horrific experience.

I went to Alex for my first tattoo and he was extremely professional and helped me through the entire process. I told him want I wanted and he came up with a design that was beyond anything I could imagine. The entire process was relaxed and made me feel very comfortable.
