A few years ago I decided to get a Tattoo done by the shop owner. He asked me what I wanted and I sent him a few pictures of what I would like and wanted to draw something up, he said it was no problem and he was gonna make something up. When I arrived at my appointment nothing was drawn up and me and my mother sat there and waited for him to draw up something (which I didn’t mind because it was very nice). When I was happy with what he had drawn up we went to the room to start getting tattooed, he seemed to be having a pretty bad day he was very rushed and annoyed with me :/ the process was fine not painful at all but the job he did was really bad, I have cried over and over because this tattoo is just awful. Now for about three years I have been trying to find someone that will touch up/fix up my tattoo but everyone REFUSES to do any work to it. Now I’m at a point where I feel stuck with a tattoo I hate, that’s why I’m finally writing a review. For a shop OWNER I expected quality work but that was not the case. Save your time go to someone else.

Went here with my daughter to get a new nose ring and not only did we get one from the friendly receptionist named Jenn but Terri put it in quickly and as painlessly as possible and only charged her for the ring. Terri also did my other daughter's nose piercing right then and there without an appointment and we were so impressed with how quick and pleasant the whole experience was that we had to write a review. We've had piercings by Terri before and they've all healed well and had no problems whatsoever. She's very knowledgeable and provides lots of information on how to take care of them properly. We would highly recommend Terri to anyone looking for a good piercer and also Jenn was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend this place for piercings with Terri.

I've had piercings and tattoo work done at this place now and I'm very happy with everything about South of Heaven. It's a clean and welcoming atmosphere that I would recommend to anyone. As an added bonus, they are very trans-friendly too. My most recent tattoo was an especially profound and memorable experience. The artist, Karen, helped me find the perfect way to illustrate what I wanted. She knew how important my idea was to me, and I was brought to tears by the gorgeous, vibrant design she researched and created. She even made last minute changes for the text and positioning like it was nothing, and the whole process was so positive that it went by very quickly. She was also very thorough on explaining the aftercare. I simply can't express enough how much I love this tattoo and how good it makes me feel to see it on my arm. It truly feels like my artist went above and beyond to give me the best possible version of my idea, and I would go back to South of Heaven anytime.

I got an HCH piercing 2 days ago. The lady who did it pierced it wrong and put the wrong type of jewellery in me. It's lob sided and I have been informed by multiple people that you should have a ring or horseshoe in not a curved bar which is what she put in me. The bleeding and swelling doesn't stop. Tomorrow I'm going to a better place to get this fixed. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Karen and Katie really made this shop for me. Their professionalism and friendliness is what countined to bring me back. I went in and was surprised to see a different piercer. She didn’t seem confident in doing my tongue web, she said to me many times how she can “rip” it while she was inside my mouth & doing things. This seems very unprofessional, a warning is fine but to keep commenting on it is concerning. I have had this piercing done before (by an old piercer Erica) and have 18other piercings so i wasn’t concerned but other people might be. She didn’t know how to use the chair, she left the needle in my mouth for longer than any other piercing shop i’ve been too & she couldn’t get the actual jewelry in my mouth. She seemed all over the place to be quite honest it was a mess. i’m happy with my piercing but i’m not returning .

Shawn did great work but 7 cancellations so because I was worried he would take long. I just looked at Kaplan not to do any work just looking.Then Kaplan phones South of Heaven and tells them I want them to find is my tattoo. So South phones me cancelled my appointment again abd say I am banned and they will call police if I go there. Screaming at me because I went to see work at Kaplan. That is cappy to treat a customer like that. I wanted Shawn to do all my tatts. So I looked around the same day and got my tattoo first is he'd by his competition. Thank you Kaplan. Keep away from South of Heaven if you don't want cappy customer service.

I went in to get this nose piercing. I said I wanted a stud but wasn't offered a selection of jewelry. I had to ask if there were any others and then was shown 2 more. I wasn't informed about the process at all. Plus, it cost $90 to get it done and it took 2 minutes. Way over priced. I had to go back after a week because my piercing fell out.

I've gotten 4 piercings done here and I plan to get more done here! They are super friendly and walked me through the process as they were piercing me so I didn't feel anxious. They were very careful with placing the piercings too! They even gave me honest advice on what piercings I could and couldn't get based on my anatomy and gave me recommendations for similar ones if my anatomy wasn't suited for something. I totally recommend this place! All piercings are 80$ (which includes the high quality jewelry) and you can get jewelry downsized for free.

Katie has done more than half of my cartilage piercings as well as a helix on my oldest kid and the first piercings ever (lobes) on my 6 year old, she’s kind and patient, super friendly and really walks you through the details and the after care. Despite my youngests fear of needles and blood she loves her princess earrings and is extra thankful to have had them done properly and virtually painlessly at a reputable shop. The shop is clean and welcoming definitely recommend.

Could not be happier with this establishment!! I came in to get my tattoo retouched, which had been done 8 years ago at another place that I did not feel comfortable returning too. There were a few problems with how the original tattoo had been done by the other parlour, which made me anxious about having it touched again. After a great discussion with Karen about what I didn't like, how we could go about fixing it and her own insight on what seemed off I felt 100% confident that I was in great hands. And I was right. The final retouches transformed an okay tattoo into a stellar tattoo that I am above and beyond happy with. The color is the vibrancy and depth I was originally looking for, the lines are way cleaner and the overall designed looks polished. Karen is a fantastic artist and I will be returning for my next original piece in the future.

Nice people, but my cartilage piercings are unevenly spaced and that looks really bad. Also, 15 minutes after i left the shop, my earring fell out because it wasn't tightened. When i went back to get another one put in, i was told to come back another day.

Friendly service and good communication. But I was also shocked when it came time to pay that my total came to $180 for two nose piercings for my plus one and I. I have had several piercing in my years (nose, Marilyn and a stud in my ear* not sure the name of it.???? and have gone to well established places and they don't charge that much. Had I known they charge 90$ for a nose piercing I definitely would have gone somewhere else!!!plus that night both our nose piercing fell out!!!! Totally frustrating and had to go buy another one also titanium and cost me 10$. So other than the price and our unfortunate loss of jewelry I appreciated the knowledgable staff.

I visited Katie to have a basic lope piercing done as a first ever piercing. Right away Katie and the team were friendly and welcoming. The protocol in place was excellent for the Covid situation and the entire process felt clean and safe. Katie is clearly very knowledgeable and skilled in her craft. This will be my third time coming here for a tattoo. Everyone I interact with has been professional and friendly. While I was waiting for Karen to finish my tattoo transfer, the piercing artist had three walkin clients. They were all taken greeted within a few minutes walking in the door, and walked out within 20 minutes of starting the piercing. One younger client fainted on her way out (a regular occurance). Both the piercing artist and Karen jumped into action to make sure she was ok. Another client came in hoping to get an ear piecing to aid in her headaches (a daith piecing). The piercing artist cautioned her there is no medical proof they help, but it will still be a nice earing. My session was about 2 hours to get the line work covering the side of my calf. It was the least irritating/painful tattoo I've had so-far. Karen put on a movie for me and went to work. There were a couple friendly chats in there. Over-all a very nice and relaxed session for me. I almost fell asleep twice. :D The prices are fair. I was actually expecting to pay more on my visit, and was pleasantly surprised. I constantly recommend this location any time someone asks about tattoos and piercings.

Brought my almost 8 year old in today for an ear piercing. Erica was great with her! My daughter was scared. I got a tattoo done here a few years ago. For the first session, I got the outline and shading done. I ended up moving away for a few years, but when I moved back I tried contacting the artist to set up an appointment to finish my unfinished tattoo. Over the last couple of years I have sent her emails, messaged her on Facebook, direct messaged her on instagram and commented on posts that she posted on instagram. Years have gone by and she has not returned any of my emails or messages. I have tried to find a different artist to finish the tattoo, but no one wants to do that for me. So.. I give this shop 1 star. If I could give less, I would.

My best friend and I did drop in Tattoos, they did a great job. The room was the only draw back as it was super small and everybody was pretty crammed with two artists and clients and friends.

Yesterday was my first time going to the South of Heaven tattoo and my experience was awesome! The people that work there were very helpful and trustworthy. The shop itself was in a good location and super clean! I got 3 tattoos by Karen and she did a wonderful job getting exactly what I wanted in each piece. Thank you guys so much! Got my nose pierced here and they put a piece in that was too small and I was having issues the next day, ended up going to a different place to resolve the issue. I will never recommend anyone go here for piercings

Katie is absolutely lovely, I was really worried about getting my septum pierced but she talked me through all of it and made sure I was comfortable, very good that everyone made sure I wasn't feeling dizzy or faint, and they went over aftercare, as well as giving a care sheet. Everything was super positive and professional and if I ever plan on getting another piercing, this is where I will be going :)

I love this shop! It’s quaint, clean and comfortable! All of the staff are super friendly and have a great attitude. I have gotten a few piercings that are totally awesome. My first Tattoo was done by Karen and I highly recommend going to see her. I sent her a few ideas and she totally captured what I wanted even better than I pictured. I came in for a rook piercing from Terri earlier today. After not being able to get the proper jewelry in, she tried a pretty small hoop and then was wanting to put in a straight barbell and even thought to try putting a labret in. I’ve only heard of this piercing being done with a curved barbell. I left the shop still bleeding, being told that she couldn’t do anything for me today and to come back once it was healed to get it redone at a discounted price but i do not feel comfortable having her pierce me again. I feel like she should’ve told me if she didn’t feel confident doing this piercing for me or if she didn’t know how to do it properly, to not offer a service she couldn’t provide.

I walked into this shop to get a new belly button ring and was immediately welcomed. They were extremely professional and friendly throughout my entire visit. They went above and beyond even offering to order in specific jewelry if I didn’t find what I was looking for. Terri removed my old ring, put in the new ring, and even cleaned my old one at no additional cost. She even gave me her cell phone number in case I had any questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend them!

Terri did both my piercings & she did an absolute awesome job in explaining on What to expect & how long to wait til the healing process should be. My industrial only took 3months for it to heal fully. As for my eyebrow piercing it’s still healing because I just recently had it done last Monday. But I’ll definitely be going back for more piercings in the future. ????
