I got a piercing a few weeks ago and I have to say Jordan was very professional, explained everything that I needed to know, and very gentle. I had very little to no pain, which surprised me. The piercing has healed up very nicely. I am very happy with the service. I will be going back to get another piercing soon and to get my tattoos touched up by Aarom I believe his name is. Both of them were very friendly while I was there.

I got my helix on my right ear pierced by Jordan on October 23, 2020. I originally booked an appointment for a septum piercing, however, upon inspection, Jordan discovered that my septum was slightly deviated and that this could result in the piercing being crooked and healing improperly. So I ended up doing a helix instead. Jordan explained the procedure step by step which was helpful, and there were no surprises. It was a bit more painful than a lobe piercing because the helix is cartilage but not too bad. Jordan was very thorough in going over the aftercare instructions as well. I chose a simple stud with gem from NeoMetal that is very pretty. They had a variety of jewelry options. The price for the piercing worked out to $120 with the jewelry that I chose (the shop fee was around $40 and the rest was the jewelry). The shop is cash only! The healing process has been going fantastic so far. There has been no pain, redness, swelling or bleeding, and I am very impressed, especially with a cartilage piercing. I really love the look of my new piercing and looking forward to adding a hoop eventually once it heals.

I have gone to Iron Lotus for both Tattoos and Piercings, and experiences with both have been amazing! Aarom is a wonderful artist and makes you feel comfortable while being his living canvas. He is professional, and everything is very clean and sterile. Iain is very professional and knows what he is doing and makes sure you understand and are comfortable. He is sterile and will make jokes with you to make you relax. Everyone there is super nice and it is just overall an amazing experience. I recommend it to everyone. Whether it is your first tattoo, or 20th piercing.

Had a very bad experience there the other day no one communicated with each other so the artist who we were seeing had no idea what he was doing....Aarom who was our Tattoo artist was kinda rude and told us to be back in 40 min to an hour so he can get started....we get there in that time frame and the receptionist there said he would be back shortly he stepped out for lunch we waited and waited finally Aarom calls the guy stating he was gonna be out for the rest of the day to take a Shopping day to get supplies....we were furious we wasted our time to go all the way down there.and when he said he would have no problem doing it he decided to take a shopping day to himself very very unprofessional...the only reason why it has one star on my review was because it was a clean place.

My daughter went for a nose piercing and first she emailed to find out price and apparently there was some deal on, that included the hardware, but I guess the guy that pierced her never said anything about price. When it came time to pay it came to 92 $, she was quoted 39 $ in the email. I had to go get more money and when I came back he had gone up to 97. Seems a little fishy to me. Since there was no prices anywhere it's hard to tell where the cost came from. I would never recommend this place. The only good thing was they were very thorough in cleanliness.

I went here to get my earrings removed before surgery. Jordan went over everything in detail over the phone with me in regards to current protocols with the pandemic. That made me feel comfortable and safe. I went in a couple of days later and the place was clean and staff was friendly. Jordan did a great job and enjoyed the conversation with him! I'll be back! I had my lip pierced here when I was 16. Lain was my piercer and he was quick and made me feel comfortable, I was a bit nervous going in to get the piercing but not during it. Iron Lotus is very clean and has a relaxing atmosphere. I definitely recommend coming here! I know that I will be coming back soon for a new piecing.

If I could give this place no stars I would, I booked an appointment for a new tattoo consult over a month ago for my birthday only to go in yesterday and be told the artist I booked with had the day off. The two guys in the shop proceeded to tell me "it's not a big deal, it's only a consult, Aaron can do the consult and pass the information to her". I don't know about anyone else but when I make an appointment for a permanent piece of artwork I want to talk to the person doing it. Then they said whoever booked the appointment needs to stop booking on her days off. How about a little more communication when running a business and dealing with potential new clients. Needless to say I took my money else where and will for sure be telling people about my experience. I hope the artist I wanted to see knows this place is botching her clients.

Made an appt with Aarom back in May to get a sleeve done in Oct. Went to see him in Aug to give him pictures of ideas I had for the sleeve. He informed me that we would have to reschedule because he was going to Italy in Oct. I asked if we could reschedule while I was there but he said the receptionist would call me within a week. No one called, so over the next 3 months I phoned and spoke to the receptionist or left messages 5 times. Aarom never returned my call once It is now January and I am obviously going somewhere else. There are way to many other good artists in Winnipeg to put up with this kind of service.

Before I go further I do like the tattoo I have done with them but most of the time I have been there, I always get rescheduled a couple of time before I can get my tattoo done. The last time was Jan 2020 or there about when I wanted to get a tattoo about a personal loss and I booked and was rescheduled once. I showed up for the rescheduled appointment and they told me I was going to need be rescheduled again and they would call me. I said fine and never heard from anyone after that day. Not cool.

Wouldn't go anywhere else for piercings! A friend and I have gone for 4 piercings each within the past few months and Alyssa and Iain go above and beyond. Incredibly knowledgeable, they set aside lots of time to select from their high quality jewellery and they fully explain every step in the process while making you feel extremely comfortable. Piercing prices are reasonable and one of the only places in the city to sell such high grade pieces. I've always had problems healing piercings and have not had any issues with any of mine from here. They accept walk ins and appointments, cash only. Iron Lotus is the best, end of story.

I've been going to Iron Lotus for the past 4 years now. My first and only tattoo was done by Aarom who is an AMAZING artist. He was patient with me seeing as he had to stop for about a half hour to let me recoup from a fainting spell. I get many compliments on how well my tattoo is done and I've seen alot of his work and am glad to know that when he uses blue, it doesn't fade much at all. I've had my tattoo almost two years and it still looks brand new. Iian has been my piercer since I got my 3rd,4th,5th and 6th lobe piercings done at the age of 16. He's since graced my body with a nose ring, a cartilage piercing and a lip ring (which I had to sadly remove after an allergic reaction to medication attacked it :( ) I have one other piercing done by a different artist who did a terrible job, and Iian was still there to help out whenever it caused me grief. He is very honest and will tell you if a piercing will look good or bad, if it is likely to reject and answer any other questions you may have. He's also the only person I've ever met to accept and understand my fainting spells and continuously makes light of it even when I'm in with a friend. I've recommended both aarom and Iian to all of my friends and family and will continue to go to Iron lotus for its cleanliness, professionalism and it's fun and friendly staff.

Went to get my nose re-pierced, I ended up getting it tapered back to regular 18g size... without my permission. I was talking about getting Jewelry back in, and he said "do you want me to try that first?" I said sure, and next thing I know he is shoving a taper in my nose. NOT HAPPY. He is extremely rough, he has a shaky hand, and failed to tell me that he is fairly new at this. Only been doing it about 8 months. I showed up 5 minutes early for my 3pm appointment with all my ducks in a row and ready to go, I had to wait until 3:35 to be taken into the room because he was busy eating his lunch and having a smoke.... I won't be coming back.

Worst customer service EVER!!! I had gotten my ear pierced and i went back twice for follow up and a piercing artist was never present. My ear is now infected and i called and they told me that they don't have anyone till end of April!!!!!!!!! So i was polite and asked her what should i do? She suggested two other places that have the same jewellery as them and for me to go there, then i asked her if i would be charged? She was rude and she told me she doesn't know. I then asked if she could phone them up and see what the process would be, she stated that she has better things to do!!! I was super annoyed and i told her i would not be coming back ever again, she said she did not care if i came back or not......Seriously. Bad customer service!! I definitely don't think they are being considerate and respectful by any means. :(

Did a walk in on Sunday and got a watercolor done by a man here named Tyler. He did an amazing job, clearly lots of passion goes into his work. Also very sanitary, thorough and consulted me in real time on things like tweaks in shading, and other fine details. An excellent artist, this guy knows his stuff.
