I wasn't going to leave a review as I figured I would just get over my far from perfect experience, but having lived with the tattoo now for the past few months I can't really look at it without feeling less than satisfied with the outcome. I spent quite a few months researching artists and their work leading up to my decision to go with Lee. I had a consultation with Lee, and when I went in, he assured me that he had done many Celtic crosses growing up in Ireland, and would be more than happy to complete my ideas for me. They required me to leave a non-refundable deposit of $200.00 to book my appointment time with Lee which was 2 months down the road. While waiting for my appointment, I sent in quite a few different designs and ideas leading up to the appointment date and was told via email that we were on the same page. I arrived 10 mins early to my session with Lee an waited about half hour for him as he finished up a tattoo he was working on. Once Lee came out, he reviewed the pictures I had sent in, and said he would be back once he drew something up. When he came back he had a few crosses printed out, but nothing that resembled a Celtic cross. I told Lee that I really wanted the Celtic cross as we agreed upon as I wanted to pay homage to my Irish roots, but he seemed unwilling to do it, and said that they don't age well, and I would be much happier in the long run going with a cross that he suggested that didn't have the intricate knots. My first thought was to walk out and keep looking for another tattoo artist, but as I put a $200.00 non-refundable deposit down there was no way I was going to walk away and let them keep my money. I apprehensively agreed to start my tattoo and was assured I would be more than happy. Well I wasn't. Even co-workers and friends told me that the job looked unfinished and not quite right. I phoned and complained to Lee the following day, and Lee agreed to bring me back in to address my concerns. Lee did touch up some areas of concern, but as before, he seemed rushed, and kept going on about a dinner date he had to get to. The tatttoo after the touch-up still isn't anything like what I had envisioned, and to be quite honest, I hate having on my body. Now I have to find another artist to finish this off to a degree that I can wake up each morning and not curse under my breath when I look at it. If you didn't want to do the tattoo, Lee, then don't say you will, get your non-refundable deposit, and then completely change your mind at the last minute. I feel completely and utterly scammed out of my hard earned money. I'm sickened by the outcome. That being said, the shop was very clean, and well decorated.

Excellent and very friendly staff! Very clean and comfortable. They have a nice TV setup with netflix and streams while you get your work done. My tattoo was done by a guest artist and he was phenomenal and a truly nice guy just to chat with. I wish he was staying just so we could be friends! On top of that their front staff are excellent, coffee is great, and the owners were super friendly and engaging. As you can tell, I loved my experience. The first day of healing I split the bandage by accident. They brought me in, cleaned it up, bandaged it again, and were very accommodating. Overall I have nothing but positive thoughts on my experience. Will definitely go again and recommend friends and family. Thanks again Rocky Mountain Tatoo team ????????

Credible shops and artists don't rip off other artists's work claiming it as their own. Unfortunately artists at this shop do exactly that. Specifically their current apprentice Alice. When she was called out she instead blocked people instead of fessing up to her blatant plagiarism. I wouldn't go here and would suggest finding artist that is going to provide you with an original one of a kind piece.

So speaking to piercing as that’s all I’ve had done so far, this place is amazing. The girl was so personable, gave me lots of options and made sure I was comfortable. I got 2 ear cartilage/lobe piercing and a conch. The jewelry selection is beautiful and guaranteed you won’t walk out with a plain anything, unless you want it! For tattoos, I had a consult with Gary and he was able to quickly and perfectly align what I want! He’s incredibly talented and so welcoming. Went in to see Dylan for my first tattoo. They mage the pricesp quick, taking into account every worry and question i asked, adjusting placement and size to my preference, and talking with me about something i know nothing about without making me feel like i was out of place! afterwards they gave me some tattoo moisturizer, a packet of aftercare instructions, and a saniderm bandage to make the healing easy peasy! I've heard lots of horror stories about first tattoos and I'm glad the experience i had was extremely positive!

This was my 3rd tattoo and the largest by far. It was 4 hours in total and honestly, I am so incredibly IN LOVE. I thought a lot about how I wanted this tattoo to turn our but Owen went the extra 10 miles with it and created something that I get to keep forever and be so extremely proud to show everyone. He spent so much time looking into the detail of my dogs that even my fiancé who isn't a huge fan of tattoos is blown away and cannot believe the work that Owen put into this. Not only is his work phenomenal but just sitting with someone for 4 hours you can run into uncomfortable periods of silence but I never had this happen with him or any of the staff! They all make it so fun for you to be there you almost forget that you are getting stabbed with needles! I have uploaded a photo of it done right after with my "second skin" on it. Just breath taking.

I've recently had a piercing done by Jamie (Soul Piercing) She was extremely knowledgeable, and made sure to keep me informed during each step of the process. She took her time and made sure to answer every question or concern that I had. And to top it off, the jewellery is made with premium material that I think is absolutely stunning. My sister and I went into the parlour looking to purchase a simple nose ring. We specifically went out and got cash for this purpose as they are a cash only establishment. It would have taken five minutes tops. We stood at the front counter for 10 minutes as the artists sat in the back talking. We spoke loudly enough to one another that they should have heard us. After listening to the artists chatting to eachother in the back, we eventually decided to leave since we weren't going to get help any time soon. Never experienced this when the original owners were at the shop. Will not be returning as the disrespect of being ignored has ruined the positive experiences I have previously had at the shop. 10/10 do not recommend unless you enjoy being left waiting and ignored.

After experiencing a whole bunch of let downs from other artists in the area, where I’ve paid multiple deposits only to never hear from them again, I gave Rocky Mountain Tattoo an email and they responded to me right away. They told me their rates and how they do their business so it was easy for me to follow. They got me a session booked almost immediately. By the time came to actually get my work done, I was blown away by the experience. They had their artist, Owen, design and create the second half of my sleeve by adding on to what I already had. He somehow did it in a way where getting the actual tattoo done was almost painless, and that’s saying a lot because we started at my hand. All the artists and people there were amazing. Best tattoo experience I’ve ever had. TL;DR, great experience, great pieces, great people, definitely going back there again!

I was referred to RMT by a friend. So I was able to get in with the one and only Lee. I have never seen an artist work so quick and show so much attentional to detail. The facility was spotless. Other staff were professional but easy going. The booking process is seemless and so easy with the help of Ray at the front desk. This experience was so good I wish I had met this crew 15 years ago. Highly highly recommended.

I've been in alot of shops, but this crew is far above anything you can expect. The shop is extremely clean, and some of the best artists you will find in K-town. They are friendly amd treat you like family within minutes of entering the door. CANT wait until my next visit in two weeks

I just got my tattoo done on saturday and I'm not as happy with it today as I was on saturday the ink is coming out really bad and it hasn't even been a week the minute I took the wrap off my tattoo I saw that it was really faded and didnt look the same as it did when it was done... I still like the tattoo but I'm not as happy with it, the shop was clean, and the staff were nice and helpful. I would reccomend going to them to my friends 100% but I probably wouldnt reccomend something in color as it might fade the way mine did.
