She was also upfront and honest with me in terms of the healing process of getting a ring placed into a fresh piercing. They also had a wide selection of jewelry available. I’ve had 3 of my piercings done here, made my best friend get her cartilage done by Sea, and even brought my mom to Luar so she could have her nose pierced by them. Sea and Colby are some of the most fun, and fantastic people I have ever had the pleasure of poked by :)! There is nowhere else i trust more with piercing my family than Luar. As well as someone who is super sensitive to metal, i have never had a single issue with any of their jewellery and now it’s all i buy! Harleigh always has a good eye for what will sparkle the most on you, and Gustavo’s handmade pieces are to die for! This place is amazing. We called ahead and they fit us in last minute but they didn't rush anything. I tend to faint with piercings and when I did they were so helpful and made me feel very taken care of and safe. If piercings make you nervous, this is the best place to go. We are from out of town, but I would come back to Kelowna just to get a piercing here. All of their jewelry is gorgeous and the staff are very skilled, professional, and super nice.

Luar Body Piercing has an incredible inviting atmosphere. Sea hand picks every single piece of jewelry coming into her cute little shop! They have very fair pricing, amazing quality jewelry and services done. I’ve personally had both my septum and navel done by her and she was very soothing throughout the entire experiences. I went in for the first time on my birthday and she generously gave me a discount on my septum! The second time I went in was for my navel and it was her event to kickoff pride week. She had $60 piercings (anything) all going to charity as well as a bum of discounted jewelry also going to charity. I ended up spending $80 all inclusive (because I bought two additional belly button rings) and the entire $80 went to a charity to support the LGBTQ+ Community. Both times went quickly and have been healing extremely well. Thanks again Sea!

I got my helix pierced here in October, the place was really clean and everyone was really nice! They gave me their honest opinion on the original piercing I went in for on how it would almost definitely reject because I didn't have enough skin (my navel) for it to heal properly, so I got another piercing that was on my list instead, I am very grateful that they warned me before I got something done that wouldn't work out!! They did still offer to do it after warning me in case I really really wanted to try and hope for the best though! The hardest part was picking the stud I wanted in there for healing, they have an endless amount of beautiful choices and they are all good prices too :) I had followed them on social media for a while before I got the nerve to get something done, and they absolutely did not disappoint, I will definitely be going back for more piercings and jewelry eventually and I highly recommend them for piercing/jewelry needs!

If you are taking a kid here, under 18. STAY AWAY. I caution you. They will send you instructions to have only 1 parent with the child when getting ears pierced. They then ask for ids from BOTH parents. Okay fine. I text my wife my drivers license, and they say "your appoint is now cancelled." They sent the cancellation 6 minutes after our booked time, while working out their demands. DO NOT send out an email saying 1 parent, if you require two. I get it... "COVID" permits businesses to mistreat customers. So this business is using the blanket of "covid" to turn a magical day for a 9 year old, into a miserable one.. with 6 minutes flex-time. We tried to meet their demands... they were not flexible. I would strongly advise you from bringing anyone under 18 here. I read that they are great at what they do, but they're horrible at customer service. It takes a few minutes to pierce ears... They move the goal posts, and are inflexible? Horrible place. If you do end up going here, do not tip. They're not hungry for business, ... too many people likely tipping too high and they're awash with money and don't give a damn about you. I do see the owner responds to these with "oh we care..." ... lol. Go there, have the visit go sideways and see how much they care. Terrible location, no parking, and 6 minute window until cancelling the appointment... after they sent the email saying ONE PARENT. The drug-addict outside their location was more friendly to my kid than this place. Maybe take lessons from the guy on the sidewalk on how to treat people. He's higher than a kite and still knew how to treat a kid.

I went here for a tragus piercing. They did such a great job and were super informative and friendly. I felt so comfortable the moment I walked in. However, the piercing developed a bubble/pimple, very common but a pain to get rid of. I had it a month or so when I was due to have my bar shortened. I left it a bit, thinking I couldn't have the bar shortened with the bubble there, and it was on and off swelling so I stuck to cleaning and soaking best i could. Eventually I called them, thinking they couldn't do anything but give advice, prepared for nothing I didn't already know. HOWEVER. When I called they told me to come in during walk-in hours so they could have a look. When I went, they were half an hour backed up but got me an appointment for the next day, they were super nice about it and really understanding. They told me they could shorten the bar and add a disc to compress the bubble so it will heal faster. I didn't even know that was a thing. Now to add to the buffet, she was so professional when she did it and really friendly, and didn't settle for an adequate job, but took her time on the size and made sure it was perfect. This payed off alright. It doesn't irritate, I'm sure the bubble has already come down after a day and it's a lot easier to clean. She didn't skimp out on the advice either, which I really appreciate. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

I had heard wonderful things about Luar Body Piercing and was really looking forward to getting my helix done today. I went today at 4 planning on going to a walk in appointment as advertised on the website. However, I was told that they had book appointments during the walk in time because they had to turn so many people away. So because they had booked appointments for the walk in time, they turned me away and told me it was posted on there social media. So I asked if I was able to book an appointment tomorrow during walk in hours, and they told me no its is first come first serve. Makes sense right? I am disappointed because I was so looking forward to going to Luar but am very turned away by how they treated this situation and the poor customer service I received.

It reminded me a lot of our own tattoo studio! I e-mailed with some questions I had and they were prompt and I was able to book my appointment online. Super easy! They were on time, really professional and the whole experience was great. They also don't up-sell anything, not even aftercare. I ended up buying saline solution there for convenience but I really loved how they weren't pushing a 35$ kit on you afterwards. Lesson learned, bring cash for tips! They are extremely humble and said most people don't tip and they do not expect it so their till is not set up for that. Insane !!! Because they totally deserved one and i will bring cash next time I am getting my jewelry changed!
