My daughter had an MRI at 430 on a Friday at Kelowna Hospital. She had to take her nosescrew out. We could not get it back in. I called Bertram & Co 15 Minutes before they closed, and she said to bring her by and she would put it back in for us. Very quickly, efficiently, and painlessly, she put it back in.

My boyfriend and I had plans to stay in Kelowna and get small and simple tattoos, although mine was more intricate. We went to this place because of the high ratings, with the intention to get them 9 days later. Lefty (the tattoo artist) took pictures and notes of what we wanted, and had over a week to look through them. Instead, he waited a couple of hours before our appointment to cancel due to illness. I tried to find alternatives such as referring us to another artist at his shop, or give us our deposit back ... But he answered them with an "I don't know", and instead promised to do our tattoos the next morning. This move cut off our plans for our last evening, and postponed our travel time the following day. When we got to the shop the next morning, it was clear Lefty had lost his notes, because he was asking the same questions again. When he started sketching my tattoo, he had sketched it much bigger than the size we originally agreed upon. I politely voiced my opinion, and he immediately said he was too sick to do the tattoos, and gave us our deposit back. When he began feeling sick he should've looked at his workload and judged his capabilities before the day of our original appointment. He should've listened to my alternatives the first time so we didn't waste our vacation time waiting on him, and found another artist. I'm rating this experience as a 1, because cancelling twice is not professional, and was completely avoidable.

So my daughter has been asking for a year to get her ears pierced and today I finally caved in and I took her to see the lady here. I dont remember her name because it was a very overwhelming experience. The lady that did pierced her did so amazing. After one ear my daughter freaked out so bad about getting the other one done. I was at a complete loss. I've never taken a child to get a piercing done and it was all super overwhelming and emotional for me. But this amazing girl was so patient, she was willing to work with us in every single way and she even took the time(without me having an appointment) and pierced one of my ears to show my daughter that it wasn't so bad. She dealt with so much from us and had us in her room for so long but yet she still kept her cool even though even I was getting emotional about the experience. She is amazing and deserves a freaking award for what she put up with. I HIGHLY recommend her, she DESERVES all the business she can get.

I had my septum pierced by Teegan Zdrill and had a great experience! Super professional, friendly, and knowledgable. I felt very at ease the entire time and she gave me great advice on how to care for my new piercing. I know a few people who've had their septums pierced by other "professionals" and say it was quite painful during and after, whereas mine was not. Teegan informed me that if some piercers aren't as knowledgable they might pierce it outside of the "sweet" spot resulting in pain. Well, obviously she found that "sweet" spot cause I barely felt a thing! She also changed over jewelry in another piercing while I was there which was quick & simple. She explained exactly what she was going to do next throughout my entire visit so I wasn't surprised or left feeling uncertain for even a moment. I also felt VERY reassured of hygiene and cleanliness standards from beginning to end which is HARD to find in this industry - even in the good ones!!! So that was refreshing! If you are looking for the best - Teegan is it!! :D One thing to NOTE: ****Cash only**** Worth getting her to do your new piercing or even if you have any QUESTIONS she is great to chat it things out with! I don’t write reviews, but I had to here. While this place does good work, and I’ve spent a A LOT$$$ here, Dan seems to have no regard for courtesy. Despite being on social media frequently, doesn’t respond. Perhaps that’s why he doesn’t use a bookkeeper. He prefers to pick and choose customers because he’s wealthy and/or has personal biases, and snubs away those that disinterest him. Talented, but extremely rude.

I got my septum pierced here. The man pierced it twice, pierced it crooked, told me to flip it up when I sleep (which is wrong) and told me to NOT wash it with saline solution (which is also wrong) The job was done poorly and so unprofessional for the amount of money I payed.

I eventually got in, but not pleased at all. Don’t bother replying to this review ‘DB’ because like all of your comments to reviewers before me, I see that all you give is empty responses that attempt to cover your butt to maintain ratings and ‘look’ professional when you’re far from it. 2 great experiences. First, I took my 3 year old to get her ears pierced this past summer. She was scared (but excited) and the lady was so patient and calm and made her super comfortable - which made me feel at ease as well. There were only happy tears leaving! 2nd experience was the owner being super helpful when he didnt need to be. I got a piece of jewelery as a gift from a different downtown store. Unfortunately the clasp came apart after only wearing it for an hour so I brought it back to that store, and the lady turned me away and basically said fix it yourself. Having no tools at home to do so, and being parked close to Bertram, I walked in and asked if he was able to look at it. With absolutely NO HESITATION, he opened sterilized packages, and replaced the clasp! He fixed it even though I didnt buy from him..and he didnt ask for anything in return. Extremely service minded. Would 100% recommend. (Also, while I waited to ask, I watched him also give great customer service to the Mom & Teenage daughter in front of me who needed assistance with removing old jewelery, and also wanted advice with previous/future piercings. I admired his willingness to listen, answer questions, give advice and just overall want to help!).

It's currently 3:11am, and I just pushed my earring back through my ear for the hundredth time in two weeks because the guy who pierced my ears here chose a stud the same size as the hole, and then put the butterfly backing on sideways. I am in excruciating pain and cannot even losen the backing of the earring because it was put on wrong by a "professional". I can't even grab the stud as it is embedded into my ear. I've woken up almost every morning with the earrings embedded into my ears, and have had to spend 20 minutes in excruciating pain trying to push them back through the skin that healed over. I've had way better experience in professionalism and kindness from the 15 year olds at Claire's with the earring guns than I did at Bertram and Co.

I got my smiley pierced about a week ago. The experience was definitely great and the piercer was so kind, but the piercing was completely crooked and it looked so retarded dangling in my mouth. The jewelry didn't fit my mouth properly, thus, I had to take it out and wasted $70 on a piercing I only had for a week. I'm pretty disappointed and I don't think I'd recommend to anyone getting a smiley piercing at this location. I've heard such great thing about this place, it's a shame it didn't work out for me!

My partner and I went here about a year and a half - two years ago. (he was pierced by a man, I was pierced by a woman.) We both have not been able to heal our piercings and unfortunately his have began to reject. We went to a new piercer to get another opinion and he was in shock. They pierced us both with curved barbells (nipple piercings) which is highly not recommended only is special cases which we were not. My bar was multiple sizes too short and my partners were done with too small of a gage causing his to reject. Hopefully this place has gotten new piercers or have educated their staff.

Great atmosphere and excellent experience. Got my nose pierced on the opposite side of previous piercing. Sea was great, took her time to make sure everything was ligned up perfectly. Terrible customer service. Have attempted to reach shop numerous times to discuss concerns with poorly healing & done tattoo (both owner and directly to artist, Joel). No response to date. Tattoo itself was supposed to be a simple, thin & clean design, but instead it’s heavy handed, uneven & thick lined. Next steps...removal. Dissappointing to say the least.

Pretty disappointed. Had a tattoo consultation over a month ago. Dan wrote down notes, took pictures, told me he had some open spots at the end of the month, and told me he would draw something up in the next few days and get back to me. Didn’t hear from him. Called the studio a month later and told the girl over the phone that I hadn’t heard from him. She got my contact information again and said he’d get back to me. Still haven’t heard from him. Would have just appreciated the honesty if he didn’t want to do it so I could have looked for somewhere else.

I'm a bit needle phobic but it went by smoothly and I was very happy with the results. A tad expensive in my opinion but you pay for quality and experience. I would highly reccomend going here.
